Travis Kelce no longer gets mail at his house and returns it all to sender

On this week’s episode of the New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, the brothers talk about one of my most favorite topics: Spring cleaning. The set-up is that Jason and wife Kylie Kelce hired professional organizers to help to do a spring cleaning at home. I can confidently declare that spring cleaning can be either one of the most satisfying experiences or most depressing tasks, lol. Anyway, during the episode, Travis started talking about how people are sending so much mail to his house that he now has a new policy of returning all new mail back to sender.

Travis Kelce has a message for anybody trying to send him snail mail: Don’t. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end reveals on Wednesday’s episode of his New Heights podcast presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment that he no longer receives mail at his home due to an overwhelming influx of deliveries. The topic is raised after his brother and co-host, Philadelphia Eagles alum Jason Kelce, shares that he and wife Kylie Kelce recently hired a team of professional organizers to help them with some spring cleaning around their home.

Travis agrees that clearing out clutter is key.

“The one thing you don’t realize, that when somebody posts your house online, that everybody now has your address and people just send stuff to your house,” he says. “So I literally stopped getting mail to my house. I had to stop. I had to literally tell the post office and everybody to, like, stop bringing stuff to my house.”

Jason plays devil’s advocate, reminding Travis that “there’s some stuff that comes and it’s pretty cool.” But Travis is undeterred.

“Anything sent to my house, send right back to the sender,” he declares. “So anybody that’s just sending random s**t to my house, uh, it’s not getting to me.”

Travis has seen an increase in his public profile over the last year amid his romance with pop icon Taylor Swift. According to multiple reports, Travis purchased a $6 million home in Kansas City, Missouri, last fall in an effort for more privacy after the couple went public with their relationship.

There’s no talk of Taylor on the latest episode of New Heights, despite the couple stepping out together for Patrick Mahomes’ 15 and the Mahomies Foundation Gala on Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada. An eyewitness told ET that Taylor and Travis “walked in holding hands and were affectionate all night” while supporting Mahomes’ charity initiative in Las Vegas, Nevada. The eventgoer adds that throughout the night, there was “lots of kissing and just overall happiness between them. The support is there for one another.”

“The two seem to be in good spirits and definitely in love,” said the eyewitness.

This amid a historic week for both Travis and Taylor, with the former inking a deal to make him the highest paid tight end in the NFL and the latter shattering numerous records with the release of her 11th studio album.

Okay, I have no doubt that Travis has been sent some pretty weird sh-t from fans over the years, just like I have no doubt that he has had a significant uptick in unwanted mail over the last sevenish months. I can imagine that after a short while, it’s no longer fun or funny. I wonder what’s the weirdest thing he or Jason have ever been sent. Whatever it is, I bet it’s wild. During the pod, Jason touched upon his potential new gig as a commentator for ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown, calling it a “tremendous honor” to be considered for the job. Jason really does seem like a big personality that can bring a lot of ‘good times’ to the table. But going back to Travis, he should really have someone start a spreadsheet to keep track of the stuff he’s been sent because I have a feeling that some of it could make a good song someday…

I wish they’d let Jason take over (or try out to take over) for tony romo, I can’t stand romo, he talks way too much (perhaps jason does too, I don’t know, I just can’t stand romo)

I would think having an assistant go through the mail first? It seems like, you might get something important, right?

    • lucy2 says:

I’d guess he has an assistant who deals with it all, and a PO Box or business address. I’d think that’s what most celebrities do, especially the guy dating the most famous person right now.

      • manda says:

oh yeah for sure, I get that. He just made it sound like all of it was returned, which seems a bit extreme

    • Kitten says:

Awww really? I like Romo. I honestly think he has some of the most insightful commentary.

      • manda says:

I feel like it’s a pretty even split amongst my friends. And I do agree he knows what he’s talking about, he’s just SO eager to talk all the time. It’s just a bit much to me, but perhaps he’ll mellow out a bit.

Also, and this is maybe dumb, but it bothered me the way he treated jessica simpson

      • LibraryDiane says:

Not dumb at all! I feel the same way, and I always wish Jessica well.

      • Ely says:

Same! Couldn’t stand him as a quarterback, love him as a commentator.

    • Kelly says:

Years ago I read a story of an actress who does the same thing, and she pointed out the actress in the 80s or something who had been murdered. That woman kept a few things mailed to her to be polite and it convinced her stalker that she was interested, and the guy eventually murdered her. The more recent actress said that she didn’t even open anything unsolicited so she wouldn’t be tempted by anything cool. Seems like Travis has taken the same approach and it is probably very smart. I mean, a stalker is going to find other means of justification, but it’s a small way of protecting yourself from anything harmful that might be send via mail.

      • Truthiness says:

Kelly, I think you’re right on the money. Jason disclosed (to Shaq) that the first day Travis moved into his $6M house in a gated subdivision he got someone knocking on his windows in the back of the house. He said he had to move because people were sleeping in his yard. Even if it’s just the tabloids it’s still dangerous, they’d be happy to ruin him.

  2. Lucy says:

I mean, thirty seconds after Travis talked about his mail, Jason got out a pouch made of bull ball sack that someone sent him as an example of what he’s missing 😂.

And I agree manda, Jason should replace Romo, except he might not want to travel that much. Couldn’t stand romo when he was a qb, had a short time when I enjoyed his play calling but he’s gotten cocky and arrogant again. He’s smarmy.

    • manda says:

I think he’s just really annoying, like trying too hard. If you know what you’re talking about, you don’t have to be so much. I can’t tell if he wants people to like him and that’s why he is the way he is, or if he is overly confident that people like him

      • sunny says:

He can be insightful but he talks so much. Also I can’t unsee the interview he did with Brady around one of his later superbowls and Brady credited some of the miraculous comeback against Atlanta to the better conditioning of the pats(which honestly it was fair because they had insane conditioning that year) and explaining that New England ran one of the highest number of plays against Atlanta’s defense that game and since defense is more physically demanding to play, Atlanta being gassed played a huge role in the end. Which again fair and reasonable and Tony looked genuinely shocked that defense is more demanding to play which is insane for a former QB to not get and I have side-eyed him since.

  3. Barbara says:

You just know that over the last couple of years some weirdos have sent Travis things like used underwear. I’d be afraid to open packages!

  4. Libra says:

He’s a lot to handle; big personality, big ego, big mouth. I’m starting to have my doubts about how this all goes over with Taylor.

    • Ms single malt says:

I think Kelce is trying to build a brand with the whole balls out in an interview ‘bro’ vibe. I doubt he carries on this schtick when he is with Taylor. I think what matters most to Taylor is how he makes her feel not how he presents to the public. See Matt Healy debacle.
Anyways, Kelce just signed on for 2 more years in KC. It was a great contract. Good for him.

      • Fortuona says:

And Kelce lives on the Kansas side of the border in Leawood

And Tony Romo is on CBS on a Sunday , Jason signed on to Monday Night Football on ESPN which is a Disney channel like ABC

    • Truthiness says:

Taylor looked all in at the Mahomes event. Outside of events Travis is pretty self deprecating and golden retreiver-ish. Refers to himself as a dummy. Said that when he yells “You’ve gotta fight for your right to party!” that it’s cringy every time. He knows he’s not the most articulate guy out there and gives Taylor her flowers as a writer.

  5. Normandes says:

This is just an overall smart decision from a security perspective. You have no idea what some wacko could send you. Return it all back to sender.
