Tom Cruise is mostly based in England these days. I believe – but do not know for sure – that he has a place in London and some kind of home in the country. It’s been that way for years now, but Tom does come back to the US for some events, and it’s not like he’s a total expatriate. He’s regularly seen at London events and out and about at London private clubs and restaurants too, sometimes with friends. Well, Tom was out last week in London… having dinner with Ana de Armas.
Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas were spotted having a night out on the Square Mile.
The Top Gun: Maverick actor, 62, and the Blonde actress, 36, were seen walking in London’s Soho area after a dinner on Thursday, Feb. 13, in pictures obtained by the Daily Mail.
In the photos, de Armas wore jeans, a black top and a black jacket as she held two bags of takeout food from a restaurant. She paired the look with gold ballet flats and a matching gold bag, and wore her hair straight for the outing. As for Cruise, he sported a navy blue suit jacket with matching pants and a beige button-down shirt.
The two were photographed posing for photos with fans and chatting with them for a bit before they hopped into a taxi together. The pair appeared to be in good spirits, as they greeted the fans with big smiles. PEOPLE reached out to reps for both Cruise and de Armas for comment.
Maybe I’m wrong, but I think if Tom was really dating someone – especially a well-known actress like Ana – he would be much more quiet about it. Tom is like Prince William – he can go dark for months and no one knows where he is or what he’s up to. Tom is always in stealth-mode unless he wants to be photographed or doesn’t care if he’s photographed. So this seems like… two actors having a friendly dinner and not caring about the gossip. Tom probably wants Ana to play a love interest in a movie or something.

Wasn’t their talk about Ana with a Cuban politician’s son or something? No idea if that’s still happening but agree that this feels like friends/colleagues dinner but who knows.

So I guess Cruise was indeed just a business meeting.
Or perhaps he’s just trying to recruit her into scientology.

My guess was a working dinner to discuss a movie. Which Scientology loves to turn into a date for PR. To keep the image going that Tom is a ‘young and viral’ man. To date someone like Ana.
Last I read she is dating Manuel Anido Cuesta. Son of the Cuban President or Dictator. Not sure on that part.
I think it was thought that Tom lives on the Scientology estate in the countryside.
My money is on business dinner, discussing a project or something similar. I completely agree that any real relationships he has (??) are fully private at this point.
Most likely business meeting turned PR photo-op for both. Ana’s chances at roles might dwindle bc of her association with Cuban president’s son. Leaders of Cuban loud expat community in EEUU have been unsuccesfully trying to obtain Ana’s public support for years. Watching her date Anido seems to have been the last straw that made them vow to crush her career.
Tom’s ego would always be fed from guesses he might be dating a much younger, beautiful and talented star. Everybody wins.
They are exactly the right level of thirsty to be perfect for each other. This was probably a business dinner. Stay tuned for an on-set fauxmance as with Hayley Atwell, with Cruise trying harder to pry her into a longer term “contract” that would be better for her career than dating Anido.
