Courtney Love: Kurt Cobain “wasn’t cool” for committing suicide

Mirage 20th Anniversary Concert With Slash And Friends

This little story comes via the UK paper The Telegraph, and it’s about an event I had no idea ever took place. Apparently, someone hilarious at the Oxford Union debating chamber decided to invite Courtney Love to speak. And she showed up. And she talked about everything from her daughter Frances (“The Bean”) to Kurt Cobain’s suicide (“It just wasn’t cool”) to her love of Greek myths (”I’m having my Demeter and Persephone moment with my daughter”). I have to admit something: even though Courtney says a few dumb and/or ridiculous things, she actually sounds relatively sober, thoughtful and moderately intelligent here. I’m shocked.

Courtney Love has said her daughter is the most important thing in her life – the day after an order restricting her access to the teenager was extended.

The Hole frontwoman, speaking at the Oxford Union debating chamber, said 17-year-old Frances Bean kept her going after the suicide of husband Kurt Cobain. Addressing 300 students at the world-famous forum, the singer said: ”What gave me strength was my daughter’s life force. My daughter’s the most important thing to me, in my life.”

The 17-year-old, her only child, is in the care of Cobain’s mother and sister after temporary custody was granted to them in December. Wearing a sparkly black top, black trousers, long black boots and glasses, Love surprised the students by telling them of her passion for quantum physics and Greek myths.

She admitted to them, referring to the saga of a mother and her child: ”I’m having my Demeter and Persephone moment with my daughter.”

Describing herself as a feminist, she said she did not like to be referred to simply as the widow of Nirvana frontman Cobain. But in one of the most moving parts of the hour-long question and answer session, she spoke of the devastating impact his death had on her.

Referring to her band’s 22-year-old guitarist, Love said: ”He goes: ‘God, Kurt was cool’. No, he wasn’t. Not in the sense of that action. That action had a horrible effect on our family. It’s not cool. It just wasn’t cool. And that action was regretted the second it happened. I was expected by the zeitgeist to go with him or something. But I worked. I had to work to get money to feed my kid.”

She said no-one offered her counselling or psychological support in the wake of the death, adding that, as a Buddhist, chanting helped her. After being asked what her legacy would be, Love replied: ”I never expected I would be connected to the Alpha male as some kind of ancillary object and to this day it mystifies me. I’m a feminist and it’s deeply ingrained so I just don’t get it, and it shocks me.”

Love, whose band plays a sold-out gig at the Shepherds Bush Empire, London, next week, admitted she was ”not a very good celebrity”.

She said: ”I’m a very good rock musician. But when it comes to celebrity I don’t have it quite right. I couldn’t have a perfume. What would it be called?”

She said the benefits of celebrity were ”free shoes and bags” however. Despite her ”high jinks and shenanigans” in the past, she said her drug addiction was firmly behind her.

”When you’re under 30, okay,” she said. ”But after 40 it’s just ugly.”

Love described herself as ”Amglish”, describing the time she spent at Summerhill boarding school in Suffolk and later living in Liverpool. She also said she had moved to Ireland as a U2 fan and that Bono was her mentor as a teenager.

She said: ”This is where I want to live, either Oxfordshire or Buckinghamshire. The first time I came to Oxford I was with Echo and the Bunnymen and I walked around, and the bricks were so black and it was so magical.”

She said she encouraged Frances Bean to apply to the university, but her daughter had not wanted to. Displaying her own cultural knowledge, she said Robert Graves was her favourite author and that she would take classical music by Mozart to a desert island.

Love also said she admired the poet Rilke and that his work, along with watching quantum physics videos on YouTube, had affected her music.

”Quantum physics has done my band a world of good,” she added.

[From The Telegraph]

I get what Courtney is saying about Kurt’s suicide, and I’m getting an after-school-special vibe from it. But I get it, and I can’t even imagine how difficult it would be for a Courtney and The Bean to get through it. That being said, Courtney negates the after-school special anti-suicide vibe by lying about what came after: “I was expected by the zeitgeist to go with him or something. But I worked. I had to work to get money to feed my kid.” Um… no. Courtney maintained control over a significant part of Kurt’s estate for years, so no, she didn’t have to “work to get money to feed my kid.” Oh, and the whole thing about the Buddhist chanting helping her through Kurt’s suicide also made me roll my eyes, but whatever.

Here’s the thing – I don’t hate Courtney. I think she’s was probably a horrible mother to The Bean, and I think Courtney is still battling her drug/alcohol/mental illness demons big-time. But I can’t hate her. Nor do I think she’s some misunderstood feminist, or some Rilke-quoting genius. She’s smarter than most of the women in her industry, but that doesn’t give her a pass for acting crazy.

Kurt was the real deal. Courtney, not so much. Good at lying and exploiting people/situations at times, but that’s the extent of her talent. I also feel people are so surprised to hear someone speak without sounding idiotic that anything above that seems super smart. No pass.

  2. Rose says:

Curt was a talented junkie, who threw away his life. I’ll take old crazy pants Courtney any day of the week. At least she still tries.

  3. anon says:

kurt was what “real deal” exactly? a guy who didn’t have the guts to DEAL with his demons so he left his family? devasting his wife and daughter. if that’s what the real deal is i’d rather have courtney. jeez at least she TRIES to keep it going.

  4. sarah says:

Kurt Cobain was a waste who shouldn’t be memorialized like he is. His music was not as great as everyone makes it out to be. The smartest thing he ever did for his career was end his life. Had he still been alive today, most people would be like Kurt Cobain, who?? He was a phase that because of his “tragic” ending, won’t go away.

  5. KIKI says:

@ Rose. Please don’t judge, just thank God that nobody you love has ever opted for suicide, because the guilt and shame on the survivors are horrible.

  6. robert says:

Curt Cobain was going to divorce her gold digging ass, that is why she arranged his killing. Karma has caught up with her now, she looks like a clown and is batshit crazy.

  7. Jen says:

Oddly enough, Kaiser, I was actually at this talk. (I’m an Oxford student.)

Courtney surprised the hell out of me. She discussed everybody from Rilke to Verlaine and Rimbaud, mentioned Virgil (VIRGIL) in a comment about fame, and riffed passionately on Gloria Steinem.

Mad as a cut snake, quite possibly. Inarticulate and dumb? Not by a long shot.

You know the best bit, and the one everybody’s leaving out? She referred to Edward Norton, whom she dated for four years, as a ‘lame-ass diary reader’.

  8. Kaiser says:

Jen – That is interesting! She’s bad-mouthed Ed Norton before (along the same lines), but I would really love to know what happened between them. Did she say anything else about Norton? Did she say anything about Drew Barrymore?

  9. Dean says:

did anyone botherto ask that whore why “el douche” said she offerd him 50K to kill kurt and he passed a lye detector and got killed 8 days after telling his story to a film editor ? did anyone ask her about the death of her bass player 2 weeks after kurts ? the smae person that supported el douches story ? she is a manipulative whore. and most people go oh no she is a poor woman. now picture all the facts against her and make her a man she would be hung drawn and quatered

  10. nana says:

”I’m a very good rock musician. But when it comes to celebrity I don’t have it quite right. I couldn’t have a perfume. What would it be called?”
    stanky axillae eau de toillete

  11. Johanna says:

Let the conspiracy theories begin… Kurt had a history of failed suicide attempts so I’m not buying the “hit” on him.

@post #5 I think that’s why people have a hard time feeling bad for people who committ suicide because the people left behind are the ones who are left with all the pain & guilt. They never think about the pain they leave on their loved ones & that’s sad.

Courtney has been on my s–t list for a long time & now she’s talking ish about Edward Norton? She’s dead in my book! 🙂

  12. padiddle says:

I’m glad she’s well read, but this does not excuse her behavior as a parent.
I can read Rilke, Borges and Milton, too (In fact, I have) but we all know it wouldn’t excuse me from being a drug addict and bad mother.
Normal people cannot get away with a free pass for despicable behavior simply because they come across as semi-literate. This only exists in the world of celebrity, where if someone has one good interview, suddenly their past transgressions are no longer relevant. Not saying Kaiser or CB or any commenters are suggesting that, but I think we have all seen in the past that if a celeb proves to be somehow “bookish” they are often liked because of it, when their behavior towards their fellow human beings is nothing short of disgusting.

  13. Rose says:

Here KIKI,”@ Rose. Please don’t judge, just thank God that nobody you love has ever opted for suicide, because the guilt and shame on the survivors are horrible.”
You don’t know me or what has happened in my life so save your witless guess work.

  14. gg says:

Yeah, I’m still trying to make sense of her bookish comments myself. I can mention Milton and toss around words and then act like a freak in public and that wouldn’t validate me. why should it her?

  15. SammyHammy says:

    “Kurt was the real deal.”

If, by real deal you mean coward that didn’t care about his own child enough to oh, stay alive.

  16. lucy2 says:

Hmm, sounds to me like she just managed to balance her uppers and downers for once. She may be very intelligent and well read or whatever, but whatever brains she has she’s wasted with the way she’s lived her life. And I don’t believe for a second that her drug use is behind her.

I get what she was saying about his suicide, and I can’t even imagine what it’s like to live through something like that. But the “work to feed my kid” thing is bogus – she wasn’t left penniless and starving, and whenever wealthy people say stuff like that, I always wish they could for one moment see how other people live.

  17. SlipOnBy says:

“a guy who didn’t have the guts to DEAL with his demons so he left his family?”

Ah, the brilliance of people who aren’t afflicted with a mentally ill mindset: “Why can’t those people who are thinking illogically think logically? That would help, y’know.”

Some people don’t have the wherewithal to actually research and study suicide. It’s much easier to make stereotypical aspersions.

  18. Maleficent says:

Yes, Cobain had tried suicide before, so the accusations about a hit are ridiculous. He was a tortured “artist”. who took his own life. End of story. Quit trying to make it more exciting with exaggerated b.s stories. There was no hit, it was simply a suicide.

  19. KIKI says:

Thank you SlipOnBy, You said it much more eloquently than I could.

  20. nikki says:

    she’s a drama queen !

  21. becky says:

he did not kill himself do some research people and why are some of u just about everyone attacking kurt it was cl that is the one that did it all

  22. murmur says:

Yes, thank you SlipOnBy. People who commit suicide are glibly labeled “selfish” but no one talks about the gut-renching pain they had to live with everyday. I know who’s selfish.

  23. Raven says:

Jen, always interested in a first-person account. Never been a Courtney Love fan, but if you find her literary references contextual and apt, I’m glad to take your word for it. It does bug me that “bookish” is now a back-handed insult, however. She wasn’t there as a parent, although it’s part of her past so references will arise.

That said, I don’t think Courtney Love was ever cut out to be a parent. It is unfortunate that Frances Bean’s custody didn’t get looked over more closely years ago.

  24. You Go Girl says:

errr, that’s because he DIDN’T commit suicide! Cobain OD’d in the past because he was a drug user,(that’s not a suicide attempt) just like Courtney, who was pictured injecting heroin, even when she was pregnant with francis. how come she didn’t OD? how do you know that wasn’t her earlier attempts to knock him off?
THE EVENTS SURROUNDING THE DEATH OF KURT COBAIN ARE FILLED WITH LIES, CONTRADICTIONS IN LOGIC, AND COUNTLESS INCONSISTENCIES. FACTS:
Kurt had 3 times the lethal dose of heroin (225 mgs) in his blood system. Medical experts testified such an amount will leave you incapacitated and cause you to lapse into a coma within seconds, if not kill you instantly. Kurt could not have done this, neatly put away all his belongings, roll down his sleeves and been able to pick up a shotgun to shoot himself.

Police reports show, there were NO fingerprints on the shotgun, on the pen found with the “suicide” note, or the box of shotgun shells found beside Kurt. This indicates the crime scene was “swept” clean before the body was discovered.

There is evidence that circumstances were manipulated to prevent Kurt from using his own car and gaining access to his own money in the days leading up to his death. Someone also attempted to use his credit card up until the morning of April 8th. Medical examiners determined Cobain had died on April 5th.

Courtney Love was facing a divorce. There is documented proof, including her own voice on recordings, that indicates Kurt wanted out of the marriage, out of the music industry, and possibly full custody of their daughter Frances. Dave Grohl confirmed that Nirvana were about to break up at the time. Courtney’s father claims Kurt was going to divorce her on adultery charges. Cobain also took steps to write her out of his will.

Eldon Hoke, singer of a band called the Mentors, claimed he was offered $50,000 by Courtney to kill Kurt in December 1993. On March 6, 1996, Hoke was administered a polygraph test by Dr. Edward Gelb, who is one of the country’s leading polygraph experts and teaches the advanced polygraph course for the FBI. Hoke passed a lie detector test with 99.7% certainty that he was telling the truth.

Kurt said he wasn’t suicidal to many people in the weeks prior to his death, including the Seattle police, a doctor that treated him in Rome, the people at the Exodus rehab center in LA, his lawyer, and many friends, including his best friend Dylan Carlson who bought him the shotgun on March 30th. Kurt told Dylan he was afraid of intruders at the house.

Cobain’s friends say the only person who started telling the media he was suicidal, after he died, was Courtney Love. This goes against everything Kurt himself told people in the weeks leading up to his death. The media decides to go with Courtney’s story with no questions asked.

These are just a few of the reasons many around the world are wondering just what really happened that first week of April 1994. This information has since been the subject of books, films, television, radio shows, and many articles in recent years. Major media outlets like VH1 and programs such as Unsolved Mysteries have run stories about this.

maybe this is why her only child has nothing to do with her. her child knows!

  25. snapdragon says:

”When you’re under 30, okay,” she said. ”But after 40 it’s just ugly.”

ummm, no, courtney…drug addiction is always ugly.

  26. No Sensei says:

    Good last paragraph Kaiser.

amen @ Trillion and gg; I guess I fall between these positions (and why would anyone be polemic about such a complex situation…).

@ SammyHamm – this sentiment sux.

“Major media outlets like VH1 and programs such as Unsolved Mysteries have run stories about this.”

Oh sheet than it musta be trues!

On another note, can we have Kurt back please : (

  27. Ben says:

Wow some people are really ignorant (and insensitive) about suicide calling Cobain selfish. People who suicide aren’t thinking properly and see it as the only way out. You may call that selfish from your mindset where there are plenty of ways out of a situation, but they’re deeply depressed usually.
Same with drug addicts. Addicts can’t just go I’m going to stop now, they’re addicts it’s a life long battle. Whether you’re rich and privilege or homeless addiction is addiction.

  28. Seer says:

I don’t think Courtney Love is interested in Greek mythology per se. She may be referring to a wonderful book called GODESSES IN EVERY WOMAN by Jean Shinoda Belen that writes about the different personalities of women (and men in GODS IN EVERY MAN)based on their individual archetypes. It’s one of those books you end up keeping forever. Anyway, she’s saying she’s Demeter (the mother godess) and that her daughter is Persephone (the daughter of Demeter). Coutney Love is more of an Aphrodite. She likes to whore around, to take drugs, steals other women’s men, will flirt with anything with a penis, and thinks she is the ultra-woman – and many times she is. If you read this book, you’ll find a lot of people you recognize and yourself there. But Greek Mythology as a subject in itself? I seriously doubt that. At least, that’s not the impression I have of her.

  29. luckystarr says:

So Courtney Love can sober up and speak coherently to a group of students. *Applause.* She has thrown her life away on drugs since Kurt Cobain’s suicide/homicide I don’t know which. She’s been an appalling mother, no matter what her feelings. Drugs are bad, mmmmkay? Run Francis Bean Cobain.

  30. Trillion says:

…and let’s not forget she has contributed little to nothing artistically since she really stretched herself to play a drug addicted stripper in “People vs Larry Flynt”. She’s been unsuccessfully seeking a new set of coattails to ride on since Kurt died. Maybe her new band can provide this for her.

  31. Trillion says:

And I’d like to address these comments that indicate that since Kurt committed suicide, that somehow negates his authentic talent. Was Alexander McQueen less of a designer because he suicided? Sylvia Plath less a poet for the same reason? Who among us understands the level of torment he suffered -physical (Crohn’s Disease is extremely painful) and psychological (clinical depression, drug addiction, financial exploitation, marriage to Courtney Love, etc.)

  32. CB Rawks says:

“Wasn’t cool”? Gee, Jen Aniston has a lot to answer for. 😉

    Also, very well said, Ben.

  33. JM says:

Didn’t she get Kurt hooked on the drugs to begin with, which led to his downfall? Then she continued with the drugs and messed up her kid.

Boo hoo. I understand that drugs mess you up, but when you have a child you don’t have any excuses, in my book.

  34. MooMooMoo says:

@Ben Indeed, well said! I love this whole, if you’re stupid enough to kill yourself then go ahead. It Pisses me off so much. Yes, it would be stupid if you were in your right mind.

and @Sarah “His music was not as great as everyone makes it out to be. ” -According to who, you?? I happen to disagree and so would alot of people, so maybe the fact that you don’t think his music is amazing doesn’t make it true. Or maybe it was just timing and Nirvana struck a chord with alot of people at that time.

  35. Zelda says:

    Well said slip on by.
As someone who was genuinely suicidal, I can’t ell you the pain you are in. If someone were in that kind of physical pain day-in, day-out with no end in sight you would never fault them for choosing to leave life with some dignity. The truly suicidal are no more functional in life than the chronically ill.
Expecting them to carry on in that kind of overwhelming pain everyday for what…for you? Now who’s being selfish…
Is it a good option? No. But when you are there, believe me, it sure sounds like the only thing left to do

  36. Jen says:

To be clear, I’m not saying that her bookishness ‘excuses’ her (though who are we to excuse her of anything, or judge her life?). It’s kind of incongruous with her image, but many rock musicians are very into poetry.

Still, it was interesting to witness what lies behind the ‘Courtney Love’ raging rag-doll of tabloids and rampant Twitter feeds. People forget that, I think – that they’re not just characters in Perez Hilton stories.

Edward Norton came up when she was asked whether angst or happiness inspired her songwriting. She said the relationship with Edward Norton was so incredibly painful that she wrote a lot of songs, but when she was in a happier relationship more recently she didn’t write a damn thing.

I liked her. I really did. She’s got It, whatever It is. Plus she’s really fucking funny.

  37. NB says:

after reading jen’s remarks, i feel really fascinated. i’m actually not TOO surprised that she has intellig(ible)ent things to say and is well-read; i’ve always thought some of her lyrics were pretty witty
surely there is video of the talk?

  38. lolitahaze says:

she is really not fooling anybody. certainly not me. a poseur, a fake, a liar and a really bad mother.

    you’re no feminist, courtney.

  39. Aussie Mama says:

Kurt used to smoke hooch, but Courtney got him onto the hard stuff.
Funnily enough, when he OD’d she was fine. Weird.
The daughter knows her Mother killed her Father. That’s why they are not together. The whole family knows.
    Karmas caught up with Courtney.
    How sweet it is.

I see Aussie Mama and Yo Go Girl look at the same conspiracy website. I say “look at” because if they actually READ it, they might be able to actually use their own phrases and wording instead of the more pedestrian don’t-think-for-yourself-just-cut-and-paste approach.
(You know, MAJOR media outlets like VH1 and programs such as ‘Unsolved Mysteries’ have run stories about this – how can it NOT be true?!? No, no… ignore the facts that show otherwise… they just blow holes in the conspiracy! STOP IT!!)

  42. CB Rawks says:

“Kurt used to smoke hooch, but Courtney got him onto the hard stuff.”

Oh really? Was Kurt that weak and wishy-washy that someone could make him do that? Or did she tie him down and inject him while he struggled to free himself? *eyeroll* There’s always a jackass who tries to shift the blame.

  43. Aussie Mama says:

I have changed my name, that ok with you Celebitchy Writers?
I wouldn’t say theories, when there is enough evidence to back the version of events, then these become actual conspiracies. You should know, look at what your Government did….911 and the whole weapons of mass distruction, what a lie that all was.
Now that’s not a theory. The whole world knows that as fact. Thing is your media is more censored than the old iron curtainever was. You don’t see nor hear the news the rest of the world has access too. These are all just debates and varying opinions, no harm, that’s what it’s all about.

  44. euronymous says:

omg people, you’re all thinking courtney killed kurt because some random private detective thinks she did it? the same private detective who failed to look in the greenhouse, failed to find kurt? he claims he doesn’t make money off this yet sells “case set manuals” and other shit and makes money through interviews. all the “evidence” has been proven false by professionals. el duce was playing with the filmmaker..have you listened to his music? he sings pro rape and murder songs. have you seen him on jerry springer? he just did that shit to get money and to fuck with people. kurt was on heroin for 4 years, and when he wasn’t using he was on methadone. the toxicology report is false and has never been confirmed. it’s not impossible for him to have done it. other people have done more complex things on more heroin. there was no fingerprints because he had rigor mortise and the gun had to pried off. have you seen the picture of him with the rifle in his mouth? he wasn’t too short to pull it. all the “evidence” is pure speculation by one guy. all the “Facts” are myths that have been warped and twisted. your all giving courtney way to much credit. she may be intellegant…but she’s not smart enough to have 4 people killed, trick trained proffesionals (cops, dna testers, forensic evidence). everyone close to kurt thinks he killed himself. he tried to kill himself many times. why do you people who have never met him and most of you probably weren’t even alive for his fame to have the right to say she killed him? you don’t know him. the people who were very close to him know he did it. and courtney’s father saying she did it…he was estranged from courtney since she was a kid. he was dropping acid and neglecting his child. he never met kurt or frances. all these people writing books about kurts death or giving interviews are doing it for the money, plain and simple.

  45. uSheep says:

can we please stop with the kurt cobain murder theories? really, for the sake of his daughter. the murder theories evidence is based of speculation, lies, and myths. yes, his suicide was sketchy, the events surrounding it are sketchy. but i think we’re all giving courtney love too much credit. she is not that smart or capable of pulling off murdering 4 people. can we all just bitch and moan about other things, and remember theres a daughter who has access to the internet and doesn’t need to read this.

  46. Aussie Mama says:

    usheep….true, well said.
maybe one day the child will come out and tell her version of events anyway, her life with her mother etc.
it’s no secret and francis would know this….that kurts family think this anyway. so is it no wonder that francis is now living with them?
this lil’ girl is probably more grown up and aeware than any of us can imagine. hell you’d have to have gone through and seen a hell of a lot. she’d know for sure, what we can only speculate.

  47. becky2 says:

    don’t be fooled!
well read does NOT=heart and soul.
she had him killed and plays victim…she is a classic, full blown narcissist…totally and completely sick in the head.

  48. SomeRandomPerson says:

Kurt Cobain probably and if not most likely was suffering from Bipolar disorder, hence a mental illness.
KC probably in his state of mind at that time, probably firmly believe he was doing the right thing. His mind was NOT in reality. And from what I read in his suicide note, it kinda seems like he thought he was doing the right thing.
People totally over look this as factor.
Most people who commit suicide are not in touch with reality.
And frankly…no one really knows how KC died.
The only person who has that answer is KC himself.
And I know some of you will say Kurt’s murderer and/or Courtney Love know.
Personally speaking I don’t care either way about how he died. The fact is now he is DEAD. Nothing can change that.
For all we know he was murdered, or yes he did infact commit suicide or hell even accidental (Theory: KC and friend were getting high, KC explains he wants to leave Nirvana, KC shows friend his shotgun..friend holds the shotgun goes off and KC is dead. Friend panics, wipes the fingerprints, injects KC with more smack. Writes the last lines on KC note to fans, takes KC’s credit cards and leaves).
I dont know I just randomly came up with that theory.
Anyways the only person who a right to know how he died is a person named Frances Bean Cobain.
    Courtney doesnt.
    Wendi doesnt.
    Don doesnt.
    Only Frances.
Frances was the most important person in KC’s life. And he loved her very much.
And just because he MAY HAVE killed himself, doesnt mean he left her, he probably watches over her in the afterlife. And hes probably extremely proud of his child. Because for all we know if KC hadnt died, maybe Frances would be extremely fucked up and on serious drugs.
    We dont know.
Anyways….I like Courtney. I dont like the fact that she was a shitty wife and mother. But if I judged all my favourite musicians and actors..i wouldnt have an interest in anything.
    RIP Kurt D. Cobain.

So all of you naive little children have been taken in by Courtney, the carnival slut husband killer. Sure she’s smart, as most evil, manipulative people are plenty smart about how to twist weaker minds into whatever shape they want – but I guarantee you that Courtney does NOT know the first thing about Quantum Physics! Or did she give you a great Quantum Physics lecture?
Courtney’s feminist B.S. might be more believable if her little string of hits hadn’t died out so quickly after killing Cobain (writer of main “Live Thru This” songs) and then failing to capture Billy Corgan (writer of follow-up album songs) as her 2nd major victim (as she bragged about sleeping with him, after being a widow for less than 3 weeks). After those 2 albums, what happened? Good music all gone? No more sugar daddy song writers to feed new material to the talentless groupie whore parasite?
More than one visitor to the Cobain home during the final months reported Courtney as having violent fits because Kurt couldn’t write her another great song on demand, at that very moment (she started throwing dishes) or else screaming about issues with Kurt’s will (what a sweet wife!). Many people have told stories of Kurt’s good nature, innate charm and polite manners. While NO such nice story of Courtney has EVER been told by anyone! Instead, everyone not on her payroll says that Courtney is a mean, jealous, cruel, lying bitch, whose only true emotion is greed and whose only goal in life is looking out for #1. Even Courtney’s very own biological father thinks she probably had Cobain murdered! And that speaks volumes!! I dare you to first read the book LOVE AND DEATH by Wallace/Halperin, and then form your opinions.

Wow just wow. This story wasn’t about the conspiracy of Kurt Cobain being murder, which again is just a conspiracy, people of the negative are just as much to blame for what condition courtny went through. Instead of being able to grieve she got people trying to lable her as a murderer, with evidence that seem to apear out of thin air. It’s in the past leave it be. Let her live her live especially now since she has things in some what control.

  51. I am now not sure where you’re getting your information, however great topic. I needs to spend a while studying more or working out more. Thanks for wonderful information I was on the lookout for this info for my mission.
