Brooklyn Beckham has started looking up to Prince Harry as a mentor?

I actually love all of the Peltz-Beckham gossip and drama. Even for the gossip world, it’s especially low-stakes. I’m sure Brooklyn feels like he’s in a terrible place with his parents, but I hope he understands that his parents look ridiculous, leaking all kinds of crazy sh-t to the British tabloids. Anyway, no one’s life is in danger and it’s not like David Beckham can remove his son’s police security. It’s just a family squabble playing out in the tabloids. The added bonus is that Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz-Beckham are now tied to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. You see, the two couples had dinner together, and Nicola hired Meghan’s British attorney, Jenny Afia. That’s enough to cast Nicola as the American harpy who destroyed Britain’s OTHER royal family. Those aren’t the only comparisons – according to the Daily Mail, Brooklyn wants to do a tell-all interview like Harry and Meghan.

Brooklyn Beckham sees Prince Harry as a mentor because of the way he has stood up to the Royal Family and repeatedly publicly defended his wife Meghan Markle, it has been claimed. The two Brits living in California have reportedly found kinship over their own family feuds – with their wives the Duchess of Sussex and Nicola Peltz also bonding at a recent dinner in Montecito.

‘Brooklyn is seeing Harry as something of a mentor. He really admires the way he’s stood up for himself and his wife — and that’s got him fired up to do the same,’ a insider has reportedly claimed. There is even a hint that Brooklyn could make his grievances public, and ‘share his truth’, like Harry has done.

‘Brooklyn feels very misunderstood, so following the same path as Harry and sharing his truth is incredibly appealing. He just wants to get his side of the story on the record’, the National Enquirer’s source has said. MailOnline has asked a spokesman for Brooklyn Beckham to comment.

The family feud, nicknamed Beckxit because of its similarities to Harry and Meghan’s falling out with the royals, began in the run-up to Brooklyn and Nicola’s extravagant Palm Beach wedding in April 2022.

Last month it was claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were ‘secretly supporting’ Brooklyn and Nicola because of their ‘similar family feuds’. The two women are said to have had a ‘deep and meaningful’ chat and share a bond after being accused by critics of being ‘homewreckers’ and women who ‘tear apart their husbands’ families’.

[From The Daily Mail]

The label of “homewrecker” being applied to both Nicola and Meghan is so f–king funny. Both women married single, unmarried men. Who’s “home” did they wreck? Meghan is a homewrecker because she ruined the royal family! That’s not what a homewrecker is, babe. Just as Nicola is not a “homewrecker” for “refusing to put up with Victoria’s bullsh-t.” As for Brooklyn seeing Harry as a mentor-type figure… I could see that, quite honestly. Remember when they used to say that David Beckham was a mentor to William and Harry? Nowadays, David is just the Windsors’ chore monkey, so Brooklyn is like… maybe I should be more like Harry.

    Run, Harry!

Who needs this drama. Harry is in a great place now.
Seems to me Brooklyn has leaned on people his whole life. Time to stand Brooksie.

I agree with every word of this! H and M don’t need this. The drama around them is not their full time job. Brooklyn now wants to be like Harry. Then he realizes how much work it takes to be Harry, and there is a lot more beyond the tell all interviews, and he will find another mentor.

I don’t know. Nicola’s father is a noted MAGA douche bag. The way they treated their wedding planners, etc. when they got married was pretty appalling. And they’re still trying to make “wedding“ happen. I’m not defending David and Victoria, but it’s hard to get excited about Brooklyn and Nicola. They are trying way too hard. And they don’t actually do anything.

    • Smart&Messy says:

David and Victoria should not be so insecure as they feel compelled to brief the press about their bday party and wedding reception grievances. I too find it hard to get excited about N and B, because they are charisma vacuums. I think despite the lawyer story, Nicola is actually in her element these days. This is the kind of name recognition she was looking for when marrying B. I think Brooklyn feels that and wants to provide what she wants.

  3. OMG. The tabloids are having a field day with this situation and making up more and more stuff. Let see they linked Harry and Meg to the saga because someone they invited to a dinner brought along Brooklyn and Nicola who were not direct invites. Meg refers a lawyer she used to Nicola and now we have Brooklyn looking to Harry to be his mentor. Will we hear next that the Sussexes are in negotiations to adopt Brooklyn from D/V lol 😂 .

I mean technically Harry is a role model for anyone in regards to sticking up for your wife, especially against the British tabloids. In fact, Harry’s got a case against this very tabloid, the DM, that is still ongoing. The papers are calling Brooklyn a hostage in the same way they called Harry a hostage. So yes it’s a BM creation. Calling the American women “homewreckers” and the poor British lads “hostages.” I kind of can’t get over it. It’s so insane. My position is f-ck this misogynistic narrative.

    Running away from toxic families
They can start a podcasts or classes, or Ted Talk!
Honestly I would have never guessed that the Beckham are this toxic 😳

You know what never ceases to crack me up? That Brooklyn is named after an American city where I used to live. All the anti-American xenophobic little England braying and shrieking is kind of belied by the fact that he’s named after an American city. Not, say, Birmingham or Manchester. LOLOLOLOL. I moved from the US to the UK originally for work in 2007 and lived in Notting Hill originally, not because of the film, but because it was situated on a Tube line that took me to work. We moved to a borough at the edge of the London and I went back to the old neighbourhood a couple of years ago just to walk around. One thing that struck me as a mix of sweet and very strange was a new bistro that had opened in the meantime, called “Sunday in Brooklyn,” which was twee, to my ear, and a bit sickly, but also — just weird. Like, you’re in a major global city. Yet you feel the need to name a restaurant after another city? And not an exotic place, but just a New York borough? Really? I cannot imagine a place in New York being called “Sunday Roast in London.” LOLOLOLOL. It’s just — they have a very love / hate relationship with the US. It’s …strange.

Family drama is a big deal- tons of people have to brace for family interactions.
And the separating of an adult from their family when they get married is a natural thing that some birth families have issues with.
Frankly though, it is preferable to a man getting married and choosing his mom over his wife (girl RUN! if that happens)

As a gossip story- we need the fun and low stakes of this.

And we don’t know these people.

But after you start seeing how young women are blamed and condemned for not being perfect, likeable, compliant- you can’t unsee it.
And i see a little of this in people blaming a young woman.

Yes, an obscenely overprivileged young woman, married to an obscenely overprivileged young man.

But, good lord. Let 20somethings screw up and do the wrong thing and figure out who they are.

  7. somebody says:

Go for it, I guess. As long as they are honest about whatever happened. Better yet, if your family is willing, go to a counselor and talk it out. Harry likely would if his family would.

  8. Eating Popcorn says:

Do you really think Victoria & David are leaking to the tabloids or is this just the tabloids doing their standard making up stuff. I thought V&D hated the tabloids, but truthfully, I don’t really pay much attention to them.

  9. Emily says:

Using the homewrecker title implies that these adult men still “belong” to their parents, that their loyality should lie with their parents and it is the parents’ home being wrecked. Harry is 40 YEARS OLD! Brooklyn is 26. Let them live.

  10. HeatherC says:

I’m not sure how long a ‘tell all’ interview would be. “My wife and my mum don’t get along and my dad sides with my mum and it’s all very hard. My brother is dating my ex and it’s awkward.” Go to commercial break.
