Denise Richards’ second husband Aaron Phypers has filed for divorce

In 2020, I remember reading and covering some stuff about Denise Richards’ second husband Aaron Phypers and being shocked by what he actually does for a living. We knew, at the time, that he operated a “healing center” in Malibu. What we learned in 2020 was that Phypers is a full-on con artist selling newfangled snake oil to gullible rich people. He believes that he can regenerate body parts with his mind because he was exposed to a nuclear explosion and the government was tracking him because he knew too much and he healed people. And on and on. It was pretty wild. Well, good news? Denise and Aaron are getting a divorce.

Aaron Phypers and Denise Richards are ending their marriage. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Phypers, 52, filed for divorce on Monday, July 7, after six years of marriage. He listed their date of separation as July 4 and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.

Per the docs, Phypers requested spousal support from Richards, 54, and also asked to keep their assets and debts as separate property, including his power tools, motorcycle and sports car.

The couple share no minor children, although Richards previously shared that Phypers was in the process of adopting her daughter Eloise, 14. It is unclear if it was ever made official.

The actress — who first met her soon-to-be ex at his work practice, a healing center in Malibu, where she was going for “preventative DNA repair” — began dating Phypers in June 2017. They kept their engagement private and tied the knot in a last-minute ceremony in Malibu on Sept. 8, 2018.

Prior to their relationship, Phypers was briefly married to Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan. They finalized their divorce in August 2018. Richards was also previously married to Charlie Sheen. She and the actor were together from 2002 to 2006, and they share daughters Sami and Lola.

I’m pretty sure no one is the “good guy” here, but I’m glad Denise is getting away from this guy, even if it sort of sounds like HE is getting away from HER. Two problematic people falling apart… a tale as old as time. I also find it interesting that he wants spousal support?? Dude is convinced that he can regrow body parts with his mind, surely his business is doing well? Apparently, a few months ago, Denise swore that she and Aaron would never divorce. Aaron was like “watch this.”

  1. Oh dear. Will this play out in the media or will they just go their separate ways quietly? They have no children together so that’s a good thing.

Oh Denise, she sure can pick ‘em. Hope she’s okay, I think the health nutjobs can be much more judgemental/ controlling than your general conspiracy weirdos.

“If you look at an atom, there’s lots of space, right? Electron, proton, neutron, whatever.” True science, “whatever”😁🙄🙄🙄🙄

I read somewhere his business shut down in 2024 and he was being sued for several hundred thousands of dollars for unpaid bills. So not surprising he’s going for support. Also hope she got a solid pre-nup! She can’t pick men but seems to be a fairly decent person.

Weren’t there rumors at one point the youngest child she adopted was also biologically Sheen’s from someone he got pregnant?

I wondered about his lawsuit also. So is the divorce a way to protect her income and assets from being pulled into that mess?
In his filing, it says she makes $250k a MONTH from OnlyFans and appearances. It also says that $15,000 of that is for eating out and zero dollars of that is allocated to charity.

Yes there are rumors that Eloise is Charlie’s biological daughter, she even addressed it on Real Housewives. But I’m not convinced, the girl does look like him. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter. Denise has been a good mother to her.

  5. Libra says:

I’m old enough to recall that Denise was rumored to be one of Heidi Fliess’ girls. Charlie Sheen was rumored to be a regular client. She truly does make some unfortunate choices.

I’ll never forgive the writers for the insane innuendo with her character’s name at the end. I really dislike the Pierce Brosnan era.

Denise really knows how to pick ’em

Always had a bit of a soft spot for her. What Charlie put her through, then the subsequent media onslaught that blamed her entirely. She fled the marriage while pregnant with their second daughter! Charlie was a huge hooker-loving mess back then.

She’s since raised her kids, adopted Eloise, and even, for a while, took in Charlie’s twins with the other ex wife went to jail. She never spoke I’ll of him, even though she had all the dirt and he treated her like trash. I give her a lot of credit for all that.

While Aaron is definitely an interesting man, the grift is nauseating. Even on RHBH, he came across as sketchy and paranoid. Hope she will be OK and glad they didn’t have kids together!

That guy gave off the weirdest vibe when they were on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

I’m sorry, she was going to his clinic for WHAT???

Most rich people do NOT deserve to have money.
