Drake denies having synthetic abs & a BBL, claims he just manipulates his photos

Back in June, Drake got a lot of attention, none of it good. To be fair, Drake seems like he’s a masochist who gets off on being a loser, and he seems to enjoy it when everyone is making fun of him. Every headline and story from Drake’s lawsuit against UMG has showcased Drake’s loserdom to an exquisite degree. But I digress – in June, Drake posted the photo above as part of Instagram carousel of his summer activities in Canada. In the photo, Drake is clearly showing off his “synthetic abs.” During the 2024 rap beef, Kendrick Lamar (and everyone else) accused Drake of getting a BBL, synthetic abs, liposuction and more. The photo seemed like a confirmation of the synthetic ab rumor. Well, in a new interview, Drake denies getting surgery and says he just manipulates his photos.

Drake is denying that a viral photo of his body was altered. The Grammy winner, 38, appeared on Bobbi Althoff’s Not This Again podcast on Tuesday, Sept. 2, where he addressed speculation about his physique. The podcast host, 28, asked the rapper if he received abdominal etching, which is a cosmetic procedure type of liposuction “that targets the ab area to make it look more defined,” per Healthline.

Althoff told him that after a photo from June included his well-defined six-pack, people across the internet began to theorize why his body looked different. “People think you got a procedure done,” she said.

He denied the speculation and cheekily responded, “People also say that I got a BBL [Brazilian Butt Lift]. They call me ‘BBL Drizzy.’ I don’t know if my wagon looked crazy when I walked in here,” he continued to joke.

The rapper eventually admitted to editing the photo. “I came from the gym, I was sweaty in that pic,” he explained. “Maybe I heightened the saturation or something on it.”

“I think I hit it too hard,” he confessed. “They don’t look like that.”

These recent rumors follow Metro Boomin’s 2024 diss track in which he claimed that Drake underwent plastic surgery. Boomin’s track, titled “BBL Drizzy,” came amid Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s ongoing feud.

LOL. All I’ll say is that I think Kendrick’s “Meet the Grahams” and “Euphoria” are going to turn out to be the 100% gospel truth about BBL Drizzy. It’s also kind of crazy that Drake is like “no, I just manipulate the f–k out of my IG photos” rather than admit to having really obvious cosmetic surgery?

I’m not watching this, but you can. Drake apparently also talked about whether he’d ever get married and his dream girl (a goth girl with O cups).
