It definitely feels like the British media and the royalists are angrier with Sarah Ferguson than they are with Prince Andrew. I’m not minimizing what Sarah did – she took money from Jeffrey Epstein (after he was convicted and imprisoned), then she swore that she cut ties with him, only to send him groveling, apologetic emails. What Fergie did was horrible. But surely, Prince Andrew did a lot worse? Andrew actually abused girls who were trafficked to him by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Andrew actually partied with Epstein on the island. Andrew kept consistent contact with Epstein for years after Epstein’s conviction too. I’m just saying, both Sarah AND Andrew are dumpster fires. Still, this week, Fergie is in the line of fire, and even Virginia Giuffre’s family has spoken out.
The family of Virginia Giuffre has called on US charities to follow British organisations in cutting ties with the Duchess of York. The Duchess came under intense scrutiny this week after it emerged she had sent an email to Epstein in which she described him as a “steadfast, generous and supreme friend”. The email was sent in 2011, after Epstein was convicted of procuring a child for prostitution. The revelation prompted several leading UK charities, including the Teenage Cancer Trust, to drop their associations with her.
On Tuesday, the family of Ms Giuffre, who claimed to have been forced to have sex with the Duke of York, the Duchess’s ex-husband, said the decision was “commendable”.
“It is commendable that these seven charities have cut ties with Sarah Ferguson in light of her connections to Epstein,” the family said in a statement to The Times. “This decisive action sends a strong message about accountability and the need to confront those who support the horrific child trafficking network established by Epstein and Maxwell.”
Her family noted that few of Epstein’s US associates have been held accountable since the release of his 50th birthday album revealed he had a relationship with many high-profile figures.
“It raises important questions about our own efforts in America. Are we doing enough to condemn those complicit in these crimes?” Ms Giuffre’s brothers Sky Roberts and Danny Wilson added. “We should follow the example set by these organisations and take meaningful steps to protect the vulnerable and uphold justice.”
Does Sarah have charitable patronages in America? I’m sure she does, just as I’m sure she has a lot of business interests and associations (like brand ambassadorships) in America and abroad. The Roberts family is right, this should go international, especially since Fergie largely makes her money outside of the UK. Meanwhile, people reminded me of this in the comments this week – Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir, Nobody’s Girl, will be published in less than a month. I am assuming that when the book comes out, there will be another round of all of *this* for Andrew.

Like Icarus, Fergie flew too close to the sun. Consequences vary in the British hierarchical class system. Charles, Andrew, William, Fergie, the entire lot of them that enjoy the trappings of the royal family and deference bestowed as a result of upholding the toxicity within the establishment. They are greedy seedy individuals with scandals shrouded by the sycophants who benefit from their association with the monarchy.
She was riding a high for the past 18 months, parading with Andrew publicly, maybe thought she would be protected …got too close to the sun ☀️
Fergie should have walked away and possibly remarried (to someone other than her ex) and moved on.
Sarah Ferguson is Andrew’s accomplice and has been for decades. Setting loans and emails aside, there’s no way she didn’t know his every dirty secret. Yet, she’s spent all this time defending him and calling him a good man, while feeding off of her connection with him and the RF.
At some point, she’ll play the victim again and say she kept quiet for the good of the monarchy, or they threatened to throw her out in the street – whatever. Everyone who enabled Andrew is complicit.
I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop because I doubt Epstein is the only criminal they consider a supreme friend.
At some point I believe she must have known about what Andrew was up to with Epstein and teenage girls, yet she continued to associate with Epstein and defend Andrew. Didn’t her and Andrew have an event at Windsor to celebrate Beatrice or Eugenie 18th birthday party where Epstein, Weinstein and Maxwell were guests? Wasn’t Fergie a guest at Epstein’s home in Florida?
There is just too much seedy stuff concerning the Yorks – all of them – to sift through. That entire royal family is toxic and dysfunctional. 🤦🏽♀️
