This is such a random gossip thread, but it’s an interesting glimpse into how the royal establishment is actually totally fine with Prince Andrew, despite everything that’s known of his perversions, predations and degeneracy. Recently, buried in some story about how Prince William is being prepared for the Crown, it was claimed that King Charles has given William the task of organizing all of the shooting parties on royal property, like Balmoral, Sandringham and Windsor. They were trying to make William sound like a big-boy king-in-waiting, like “oooh, what a big job, you have to organize the hunts!” Well, it looks like William and Charles are allowing Andrew to continue to have “hunting rights” on all royal properties.
King Charles will allow his disgraced brother, Prince Andrew, to continue hosting lavish shooting parties at royal estates, including Windsor, The Royalist can exclusively reveal. Friends of Andrew insisted he was “categorically not” being banished from royal events or the king’s presence, in what appeared to be the first sign of a fightback from the beleaguered prince.
The revelations will alarm Prince William, who has lobbied hard for Andrew never again to appear alongside senior royals and believes his father has been “weak” in dealing with both Andrew and Harry. William sees a pattern of frailty, which Charles indulging Andrew with Windsor shoots will only confirm. William refused to have his children under the same roof as Andrew when they were at Balmoral this summer, insisting the Yorks stay elsewhere on the estate.
So, news that Andrew will once again organize his so-called “family day” at Windsor shortly after the pheasant shooting season starts in November will infuriate William, coming just days after Charles bowed to William’s view that Andrew and Sarah Ferguson would not join the royals on Christmas Day.
Charles, however, is thought unwilling to deprive Andrew of the shooting privileges he has enjoyed since boyhood, which were effectively gifted to him by his mother. “Invites to Windsor are like gold dust,” one long-time sporting acquaintance of Andrew told me. “You can’t take that away from a man who has lived his whole life on the peg.”
Andrew’s biographer and nemesis Andrew Lownie told The Royalist it was “not unreasonable” for the King to allow Andrew to keep his shooting rights, adding: “King Charles does not want to antagonize his younger brother entirely but he needs to recognize that the public want some answers about the Yorks’ connections with Jeffrey Epstein and how they have exploited their royal status for personal financial gain. The Palace always seems behind the current of events, too little, too late. It’s time to grip this crisis, which is threatening to envelop the whole monarchy.”
It’s strange to say that “this is going to infuriate William” when William is supposed to be the one organizing who does what during pheasant and grouse season. It’s possible that this is just Charles telling Andrew, “sure, you can keep hosting shooting parties” without consulting William. But it’s also possible that all of this “rageholic William hates Andrew” sh-t is just for show as well. Anyway, it’s not like photographers attend Andrew’s shooting parties – I have no idea when the man hunts or where. The only reason this is an “issue” is because people seem to want to make it an issue.

I don’t believe for a second William has a problem with Andrew personally, as he was seen not that long ago giving Andrew a ride with Cathy and in very good spirits. This is for show. As for Chuck, he really doesn’t want to piss off Andrew too much, and we know why.
Shooting parties are gross no matter who is organizing them!
William seems to do nothing but attend sports events, organize shooting parties and attend occasional photo shoots with his jazz hands and various heads of state or military folk or hapless villagers forced into hosting him looking busy at something he knows nothing about.
Andrew in spite of his known perversions and questionable financial dealings has always been supported to be as he is.
Such is royalty in 2025.
As for William’s opinions about Andrew- who knows for sure. William is mentally ill and a rageoholic about pretty much everything.
These shooting parties need to end. They are celebrating cruelty and waste.
Cruelty and waste pretty much sum up the modern BRF.
Maybe its a paid event? You know charles doesnt want to give him money. If some how charles makes a few bucks off if this then All good.
“Like gold dust…” My thought is that Andrew is charging people for the invitation.
judging by the way William treated Meghan — according to Harry’s memoir — I doubt he has any problem with the notion of his uncle sexually abusing American girls. Really, that’s the issue for them: the English rose syndrome. Nothing to do with Hanbury, just…. It’s the Madonna / whore thing, all over again. William clearly saw Meghan as a bonk or a boink or whatever they giggle about at boarding school. He underestimated her as a character and a person with a healthy sense of self respect and adult boundaries. Hence, “kindly take your finger out of my face,” was not what he was expecting to hear. These people are *all* awful.
It may not be comparable, but I would still like to point it out. We have an offender in the family who, despite everything, is invited to all church celebrations and birthdays. Nobody from a Christian family is ostracised. The difference, however, is that the entire extended family persuaded him to face his punishment, which he eventually did. He spent a few years in prison, and the family then took him back in and helped him find a job and a flat. He accepted his sentence and served his time. He learnt humility and apologised sincerely and painfully to the victim. He also works for a Christian homeless charity – something our family had advised him to do. I don’t know what the Windsors did with Andrew other than the things they had to do in front of the public.
Andrew also knows all Willy’s skeletons, all the posh people gossip at their dinner parties so he needs to be careful. His coldness to his uncle in public is manufactured, it’s the stance the Monachy must display to the public
You know what’s worse than Andrew being allowed to host lavish hunting parties on royal properties? The fact that there are people willing to accept the invitations. How pathetic that even a child-f#%*er retains the caché of royalty for a certain segment of the British population.
Those royals hiding behind palace walls all have skeletons in their closets. They can’t really point fingers at Andrew with they gather. Charles himself has just as bad or even worse past associations men who have assaulted minors, even writing letters advocating on their behalf.
The media is writing the narrative that the public needs in order for them to believe that what Andrew has done is inexcusable by the Royal family’s standards but the members of the family living in those palaces are not upset with Andrew. None of them. They really don’t care about what he has done. They are likely upset that the public is still up in arms about it.
So presumably, when William is king, he will not allow Andrew to continue to hunt. There’s a lot of briefing of how William is horrified. Guess we’ll see if he backs any of that up with action. Can’t wait to see the evidence of all the changes he’s going to make.
I think peggs will bluster About it but leave Andrew alone.
He drove him to church AFTER the summer trip to Balmoral. If he didn’t want him to be under the same roof, it had nothing to do with his children.
Oh, well. I suppose it keeps him out of the brothels.
Interesting about the social reciprocity aspect.
Wouldn’t be surprised if he seeds dubious Middle East / Gulf State businessmen + princes as guests among the crusty toffs.
