Angelina Jolie wore Alberta Ferretti to the Rome ‘Couture’ premiere: witchy??

Here are some photos of Angelina Jolie on Saturday at the Rome Film Festival premiere of Couture. If Angelina Jolie is going to do anything, it’s wear black and serve c-nt. Jolie wore a fresh Alberta Ferretti dress with “cape cocoon sleeves” from the fall collection. Angelina’s style in recent years has been so interesting – I strongly suspect she’s been working with a stylist, but no one has confirmed anything. She’s worn a variety of designers, she signed on to a Tom Ford lipstick campaign, and she’s not wearing full sack dresses constantly. Something is different! As I’m looking at close-ups of this dress, it definitely looks like the hem was haphazardly raised at the last minute, likely to show off those ankle boots. With those boots and the “cape,” she looks very witchy. She used to be so much more witchy, and I love seeing that side of her.

Angelina’s costars joined her at the Rome premiere. The handsome man is Louis Garrel, the beautiful Black woman is Anyier Anei, and the woman with bangs is director Alice Winocour. Most of the reviews single out Angelina’s performance as the best part of an uneven film. This isn’t going to get her another Oscar nomination, unfortunately. At least it seems like a small-budget international film – I hope Angelina does more of those. I like that she’s getting back to being an actress-for-hire too – she’s currently working on Marc Foster’s Anxious People in London.

ICYMI: TMZ recently reported that Angelina actually has no plans to leave America next year, when Vivienne and Knox turn 18. There were so many rumors circulating that she planned to move to France or England or Cambodia full time, but TMZ says that if she does leave LA, she’ll move to New York.

PS… The back-seam pantyhose! The tattoos!

I walked right into Angelina in London a few weeks ago and she’s so beautiful!

  2. Kirsten says:

I love the dress — the open back is stunning. Those shoes are absolutely god awful tho. I feel like a ton of designers sent terrible shoes down the fall and spring runways.

  3. Mireille says:

Well damn, that’s a beautiful group. Not a fan of Angelina’s dress, but it is right up her alley, black and a little sackish. I’m happy to see her acting again.

  4. Wash says:

She needed shoes with a chunkier heel.

    • Mightymolly says:

ITA! My general take is to at AJ can wear whatever she G-D pleases because she’s friggin’ Angelina! But yeah those shoes just aren’t it, IMO. I love the dress though. It’s absolutely her vibe and I love that she still shows off her amazing tats.

  5. Jezz says:

That man looks exactly like a young Vincent Gallo.

  6. IdlesAtCranky says:

I like the dress except for the sleeves. I don’t know if it’s the design, the tailoring, or how she’s standing. but she looks hunched up, like she’s freezing.

And please will someone talk her out of keeping that ashy blonde hair?? It does absolutely nothing for her skin tone. She needs to go back to brunette!

  7. Mrs. Smith says:

Love the back of the dress!

  8. jais says:

    Tis the witchy season.

  9. Libra says:

She maybe doing “actress for hire” films just to shore up her cash reserves. Even though she has a high net worth, all this divorce and lawyer and courtroom legal proceedings are expensive and a cash draining money pit. It’s been a long haul for her ( and her children).

    • Mightymolly says:

Maybe. Zero judgment for a mom of six doing what she can to ensure her children’s financial security. It’s possible their deadbeat dad hasn’t provided for them.

  10. Glamma says:

Love the boots. Everything else? No.
