Great Wolf Lodge will launch a $3.10 ranch milkshake with carrots & chicken on top

Great Wolf Lodge Ranch Milkshake with chicken, carrots and celery on top
A few weeks ago, we talked about Costco’s new Double Chocolate Mint Sundae, which I have since tried and can confirm that it is delicious. Now, we have another, more bizarre new food offering that falls solidly on the complete other end of the spectrum. Beginning on Thursday, March 5, Great Wolf Lodge locations are selling a limited-time ranch milkshake. Yes, you read that right. It’s vanilla ice cream blended with actual ranch dressing that’s topped with crispy chicken, carrots, celery, and whipped cream. It’s finished with a salty lime rim. And yes, people on social media have a lot of feelings about it.

This spring, visitors to Great Wolf Lodge can try a limited-edition ranch milkshake topped with carrots, celery, whipped cream and crispy chicken.

The strange shake goes on sale Mar. 5 and will be available at all 23 Great Wolf Lodge parks until Mar. 20.

The shake is a blend of vanilla ice cream and ranch dressing and will sell for the bargain price of $3.10.

X users appeared overwhelmingly disturbed by the drink, with many repulsed at the idea of trying it.

“I hope the responsible people are locked up,” one quipped.

“This makes me want to throw up right now,” another added. “This can’t taste good.”

“Dear God, it’s really made with ice cream… I assumed it was mashed potatoes or something,” a third person chimed in, describing the concoction as “horrifying.”

Meanwhile, others claimed that the shake was an example of why America was struggling with an obesity epidemic.

For further context, Great Wolf Lodge’s ranch milkshake is being released in honor of National Ranch Day on March 10, so while it’s still a ridiculously random blend, there is a slight method behind this madness. Hidden Valley released a special edition ranch-flavored ice cream in honor of National Ranch Day a few years ago. I love ranch with my french fries and pizza crust, but not with ice cream. As for the garnishes on top, it reminds me of the experimental dinner-and-dessert frankenfoods that are more suited for TikTok than consumption.

In a statement to Parade, GWL said, ”Blurring the line between dessert and snack, it can be sipped (or gulped) like a shake or used as a dip.” Sipping, gulping, dipping…I don’t know, y’all. Maybe I could get behind using it as a dip if my life depended on it, but it looks so gross. Also, carrots and celery have no business being a part of any type of ice cream-based treat. Forget the symbolic $3.10 price tag. I don’t know if you could even pay me to try this milkshake.

Ew gross. I’ve never even heard of Great Wolf Lodge but apparently there is one in GA.

We went once to the one in VA. There were some good things about it, some not so good. The food was not so good. Like I ordered a turkey sandwich where the bread was moldy. AWFUL. Only go if there is a place nearby to eat.

My boys had a ton of fun but I don’t feel the need to ever go back.

This is the kind of thing I would try once for the novelty, kinda like the KFC Double Down, but I can’t imagine there will be a lot of repeat customers for this.

I think now is the time to inform you that a dutch sweet shop, known for throwing in a few weird flavours each year, now has a pizza hawaï flavour chocolate easter egg. No I have not tried it.

Ugh Great Wolf Lodge is such a nightmare place. My kids begged me to go so I relented and we all ended up with a horrific stomach bug from the water park. It was one of the dirtiest places I’d ever set foot in, so disappointing. Ranch shakes are the least of their concerns 😂

As if Great Wolf Lodge couldn’t get any grosser inside of its germ-o-sphere.

    Dionne Warwick’s got it right!

Also, looks like Sunday dinner at the Vance’s (see article on Padma Lakshmi).
