King Charles & Camilla were protested & heckled at a Welsh Maundy service

Here are some photos of King Charles and Queen (consort) Camilla in North Wales. They decided to do something different for the annual Royal Maundy Service this year. Back in QEII’s day, she would rotate Royal Maundy services between like five churches year by year. Charles decided to visit St. Asaph Cathedral for the Maundy service, making it the first time a monarch has attended the Maundy service in Wales since 1982. Just a little bit of royal history, I guess. I would also guess that Charles has political reasons for going to Wales, considering his son really doesn’t give a sh-t about being the Tywysog Cymru.

Well, Charles is having a rough week overall, and he probably hoped that he could get through a big date on his royal calendar without being heckled by anti-monarchy protestors. He could not. Republic had people on the ground in North Wales, loudly protesting Charles and Camilla, and waving those iconic yellow signs. As for the rest of Charles’ bad week… British politicos of all backgrounds are deeply upset that Charles is being sent to Washington DC to glad-hand Donald Trump. It’s especially galling for Buckingham Palace because Trump is so uncouth and senile, Trump is now claiming that King Charles would have supported him and backed Trump’s war in Iran.

Republic’s Graham Smith also noted that literally twos of people were waiting to see Charles and his side-chick queen. There was also some “Not Our King” graffiti which had to be covered up or painted over ahead of Charles’s arrival. Yeeesh.

I am enjoying the leftovers new reality, I hope the heckling gets even louder. The leftovers no longer need the barriers for fans/supporters they now need them strictly for protestors which is a beautiful thing to see..

I’m never going to feel sorry for Charles Windsor (or any other Windsors), but being subjected to Trump for DAYS is cruel and unusual punishment. He’s getting what he deserves in Wales, but no one should have to pretend that Trump is a human being, much less president of the United States. This state visit is a very bad idea with no actual reason to occur.

    • Chaine says:

The actual reason for the state visit is for Charles to get a state visit as King, isn’t it? It’s his own ego and he will push through it regardless of the political climate or who’s president because Charles has not got much time to be King and do King stuff. Look at these photos, he is waning fast.

  3. Amy Bee says:

He should expect this everywhere he goes. The late Queen should have been protested more too.

  4. Jais says:

Keep the heckles coming. It’s a pity the Wales work so much less and thus get heckled less. But nope they’re on vacay and they barely announce their events anyways. Convenient.

  5. Tessa says:

Karma for Charles trying to rewrite history about Diana .

  6. Tessa says:

He protects Andrew. Doesn’t want harry and Meghan and children to have security. Keep the boos coming

  7. Sarah says:

Splendid! Keep up the good work! He probably assumes this will blow over but we need protest everywhere he goes. I hope it pisses him off so much, waited his entire life to be king and he’s met with uh, less than enthusiastic responses 😂

  8. Eleonor says:

And next they will be at the CHEZ TRUMPS .
A state banquet hosted by another pedo rapist while a war is going on and people are dying.

They better get used to it. Tops off the bottle.
