This week’s In Touch cover features a poorly disguised Charlie Sheen going to visit a woman who is known to be a “lingerie model” and high paid escort. According to In Touch, Charlie has been seen entering the escort’s home and she’s been to his house when his wife Brooke was out of town. Instead of denying that Charlie was visiting that woman, or denying that it was him with the ’70s porn stache, his rep gave a creative and elaborate excuse. Charlie’s rep claims he was wearing the mustache to punk the paparazzi, which is somewhat plausible, and that the woman he was dating was the “sister” of someone he knows from AA. You’re not supposed to mess around with the opposite sex when you’re in the program so the lingerie model/escort must have been someone’s “sister.” Maybe she just happens to have a brother who’s also in AA, but that doesn’t mean she’s Charlie’s sponsor.
In Charlie Sheen’s case, appearances indeed can be deceiving.
Amidst reports that the Two and a Half Men star is having an affair with a lingerie model and fashioned a calculated disguise – a hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, dark mustache and cigarette dangling from his mouth – to hide it, his rep tells PEOPLE that Sheen isn’t involved in anything illicit.
In fact, Sheen was simply participating in his recovery program as part of his recent stint in rehab – and having a little fun with photographers, according to his rep Stan Rosenfield.
“The woman in question is the sister of one of Sheen’s campmates and Sheen was only responding to a 12th-step call,” Rosenfield said, referring to traditional recovery program outreach efforts. “Since Sheen knew he was being followed and how this would look, he wore the moustache in a tongue-in-cheek disguise gesture.”
Sheen, 44, has been in treatment since Feb. 24 and faces domestic violence charges following a Christmas Day fight with wife Brooke Mueller. He is considering leaving Two and a Half Men after this season.

Can you smell the spin control? I looked up the “12th step” and it’s about carrying the message to other alcoholics. Does this mean that Sheen has somehow already worked through all 12 steps and is trying to help the lingerie model, according to Rosenfield, or that that lingerie model is helping Sheen with his sobriety? I’m sure she’s helping him empty out his wallet, among other things.
It sounds like Charlie is so afraid of getting shut down in contract negotiations that he’ll make up any excuse to explain his behavior. He’s reportedly trying to get CBS to up his salary for Two and a Half Men from $825,000 an episode to $1.5 million. They’re not likely to do that if the star is a convicted batterer who is known to visit prostitutes. I bet this little stunt cost Charlie a lot more than the few thousand he shelled out for non-binding female companionship.
When the boys cross over into girls territory in AA it’s called 13th stepping, “womanizing.”

He doesn’t have nearly enough (if any) sober time to go on a 12th step call by himself. If the hooker has a drinking problem her sister could have 12th stepped her or asked HER sponsor, who should be a woman. Also, since the hooker’s identity is known, saying he went there to 12th step her breaks the 12th Tradition which is about the sanctity of anonymity.
Charlie’s spin doctors must make a fortune from his antics and the lies they tell to cover his ass.
Charlie + paid escort = business as usual.
The CBS offer for a new contract is going to wind up less than he was making before. He’s too much of a loose cannon no matter how much they have made on the show. His behavior and past reputation will ruin everything.
There’s no way Chuckles is at the 12th step already. And that’s a terrible disguise, the nose is a dead giveaway!
The only plausible reason Charlie would be responding to a 12th step call, IMO, is if this chick’s brother is staging an intervention and asked Charlie along as … well… a celebrity guest. 🙂 It could happen, right?
Yeah, that’s complete and total BS. For many of the reasons others have already listed above. He couldn’t be at the 12th step yet, and he shouldn’t be 12-stepping a female anyway – especially him, lol! If he was really working a program, I highly doubt he would be around too many women other than his wife. As YT said, this is just business as usual for Charlie.
The 12th step is about more than just spreading the word. It is also about doing service within the community. Also, the 12 steps do not have to be done in that very order. People can do 12th step tasks while still working through the program. In fact, many people in recovery programs try to start doing 12th step tasks after they get through the first 3 steps and there is nothing wrong with that. If you want to make comments about someone’s recovery, please learn about the actual recovery process first.
I’ll buy that Charlie is servicing the woman.
