Did Angelina Jolie need to have a C-Section due to herpes?!

This sounds completely fabricated, but a supposed 20 Century Fox “executive” says that Angelina Jolie gave Brad Pitt STDs while they were filming “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.” He goes on to speculate that she needed a C-Section due to herpes

“So I had to contribute a tid bit I heard when I was working for 20th Century Fox (in an executive position that will go unnamed) … we produced ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’. Angie and Brad were indeed having sex on that film, and she apparently gave him some STD’s, and that’s how Jennifer Aniston first found out … If you are young, like Angelina Jolie, and healthy, the reason for c-section is almost always herpes. Jennifer Garner is another herpes mom, Madonna another. Both delivered small babies by c-section. Katie Holmes is another.”

This would have been partially believable if it were not for the fact that the writer speculates that most all celebrities who had C-Sections recently did so due to herpes. Unnecessary C-Sections are incredibly common, and Angelina’s baby was said to be breech. It’s also completely untrue that most cesearians in healthy young women are due to herpes.

It’s a juicy bit of gossip, but one that’s totally false – just like the hot story of Angelina having lesbian sex in the bathroom.

Brad Pitt’s parents are now in Namibia visiting their new grandchild. Brad and Angelina are said to be returning to the states July 1st so that Brad can work on Oceans 13.

I wouldn’t be suprised if she did have herpes but yeah the fact that he said jennifer garner as well… i dunno i find that hard to believe. You’d be suprised though how many people have some form of genital herpes.

Most reason for C-sections in healthy women?… being scared into them by greedy doctors, or being too “posh to push” a travesty! I think C-Sections should only be performed in emergencies. Even a midwife can fix most breach babies so that you can deliver vaginaly but I GUESS i’ll let Angie slide. 😛

This is such a BS! That email was circulated to smear the actresses mentioned but we all know that Garner had a vaginal birth (according to laineygossip insiders, she also screamed her head off during labor). Lumping everyone together made the whole thing even more suspicious. I believe that you’d have to have ACTIVE herpes lesions in order for this to even become an issue. Plus, even if AJ had herpes, she is not likely to have open wounds on her vag.. I doubt she’d even consider giving birth if she had active herpes.

Thanks you guys. This is rather nasty gossip and I’m not so sure I should have posted it now. I totally agree with you AC about C-Sections and when I was pregnant the midwife told me if the baby was breach (which it wasn’t) that she could either flip it beforehand or that I could probably deliver that way. The guy who is reporting this probably has herpes himself and is trying to make himself feel better by acting as if it’s so common. Sorry that I repeated it, but I did say it was false at least!

This is soooo freaking brutal, and cruel. I have never heard that amatuer medical opinion that c-sections are due to herpes. I’ve had a c-section, and most certainly did not have herpes. The dork who started this rumour should be soooo ashamed of himself!

Sorry about that you guys. It was just getting repeated several places and I should not have bothered to reprint it, that was pretty dumb of me.

I think it’s dangerous to deliver a breech vaginally.. yes, it’s possible but why risk it? I like the fact that Agelina was not so into herself and her “perfect birth experience” and chose her baby’s safety over herself. I’m so annoyed when I hear that women feel somewhat devalued by having a c-section. Kate Winslet made comments like that.. I suppose it’s all because they’re told over and over that “real” women deliver vaginally. BTW, I had two kids vaginally so I’m not trying to defend c-sections. I just think that baby’s safety should come first.

Actually women who have inactive herpes have to be careful too, because if you even have a touch of anything down there it spreads to the baby. So if you are planning to have a natural birth, most doctors will put you on valtrex for the month before your due date.
