Eh. Today’s Gatecrasher is trying to make it sound like James Franco could totally be gay. Apparently, when Franco was doing a panel discussion on the documentary he directed (Saturday Night, a behind-the-scenes look at one week of preparing for Saturday Night Live), he got some questions about his sexuality. Things apparently got “uncomfortable” and Franco’s rep “stopped him from answering”. Also, James and SNL’s Will Forte may have something going on…?
Let the rumor mills roll: James Franco dodged some dicey questions at a panel discussion following Sunday’s Tribeca Film Fest premiere of his doc, “Saturday Night.”
“One of the guests asked James a few things that alluded to his sexuality,” says a panel-goer, explaining that the line of questioning was in regards to Franco’s on-camera kiss with Will Forte on “SNL.” “Franco’s rep stopped him from answering, and the crowd got really uncomfortable.”
But Franco didn’t seem to mind: “Will and James were taking pictures of themselves with a Polaroid at the afterparty [at 48 Lounge],” says a spy. “And then James turned to Will and joked, ‘Uh-oh, this one is going to make people talk!’ Will even told a passerby, ‘James is a very passionate kisser!'”

As I said before, “eh”. I don’t really think James is gay, but I don’t really care, honestly. I believe he’s had a girlfriend for a few years, but they may have broken up? He seems to play it close to the vest, so I could see how he could be gay or bisexual and we would have no idea. But he’s probably just a straight dude who doesn’t have any hangups about kissing other dudes. That’s my call.

Nah. Not gay. Not hung up either about whether anyone might think he is. He just doesn’t get worked up about this stuff. Very cool guy.
His SNL episode was filled with a whole lot of man on man kissing! I don’t think he’s gay, I just think he’s comfortable with himself and other dudes. Plus, the whole Milk thing.

He grew up in the Bay Area which may account for his enlightenment, I’d like to think. Love him.
He looks too rugged to be gay. I just mean that gay men tend to be prettier. Hmmm…probably someone will take offense to that and that is not my intention. I just mean that I bet James Franco has never owned a bottle of moisturizer. Okay, that sounds stereotypical too. I’ll just shut up now.
I think it’s within reason to suspect that he’s gay and inching towards coming out of the closet. There’s of course the usual heresy and rumors that float around the gay community, and though I’m as liable to believe those as I am that there’re alligators in the sewers, I also can’t shake a vibe that he seems to give off. I think back to his 30 Rock guest appearance that could easily have been read as a coded coming out as it could a skewering of the rumors that surround his sexuality; after all, he comes out as having a relationship with his Japanese body pillow girlfriend (at a gay bar no less) in an episode that centers around Liz Lemon’s nephew coming out. Added to that, he’s increasingly directing his career away from Hollywood projects and towards smaller, indie fare and a career in literature, two things which I’d imagine would allow him to more comfortably live an open life if he’s indeed gay or bi. Those’re my two cents on the matter, which of course could just be a mix of rampant speculation and wishful thinking.
He looks like he needs a shower. About his sexuality, he’s probably bi.

I love James Franco as much as the next girl (or guy), but he is SO gay! It’s not just that he’s taken on gay roles and kissed Will Forte, he’s curious outside of his professional life as actor on the many facets of the gay community. I’m sorry, but WHY would you be so fascinated by it, beyond the call of duty, if you weren’t gay? I don’t care regardless, I won’t stop dreaming about him, but I’m not about to go hang out with lesbian hookers and watch them service a client because I have no hangups about being gay! There’s a reason why he is so curious about male homosexuality (notice he’s not as interested in female same sex orientation?)…because he’s gay himself!

James Franco is not hetero, he’s bisexual or a closeted gay man.
