Duchess Kate might be pregnant, plans a $1.5 million palace renovation

wenn3588757

This photo, above, has caused people to ask “Does Waity have a gut full of receding hairline baby?” Only nicer, of course. It’s not that Duchess Kate looked pregnant during her trip to Copenhagen for a UNICEF photo op – it was what was happening between she and William. William was tasting the peanut paste that goes into the UNICEF supply boxes, and Kate apparently refused to taste – and according to bump experts, many pregnant women are told to avoid peanut products lest their babies develop allergies. The Palace even confirmed that Duchess Kate “has no nut allergy whatsoever.” So, she could be knocked up. Or she could just be off solid food. Again. I’m just saying, girl is super-skinny. I miss her old athletic figure. If she is pregnant, then I’m guessing we still have months before the official confirmation, just because it’s going to take forever and a day for Kate to show. Ten bucks says her pregnancy gets announced right around the time she’s supposed to “announce” what charities she’s going to patronize.

Meanwhile, Will and Kate are already making arrangements for their permanent London base. They currently have a smaller place at Kensington Palace, and it’s just been announced that renovations are already underway for a larger apartment in the same palace – they’re going to be moving into Princess Margaret’s old place.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are to make Kensington Palace their family home after the Queen personally intervened to enable them to live in Princess Margaret’s former apartment. About £1 million will now be spent renovating the lavish four-storey, 20-room Apartment 1A – which comes complete with its own private walled garden – to make it fit for William and Kate.

The couple are not expected to move in until 2013, when the extensive work will be completed. Many of the rooms are still painted in pink and turquoise, Princess Margaret’s favourite colours, but as well as redecorating, work will also have to be done to install new plumbing, rewire the electrics and remove asbestos.

The cost of the renovations will be met by a mix of public grants and contributions from the Royal Family’s own fortune. The accommodation, which has been uninhabited since the death of the Queen’s sister in 2002, includes a dining room, drawing room, Lord Snowdon’s former study, Princess Margaret’s garden room, extensive staff quarters and a nursery – which might prove important if the current speculation that Kate might be pregnant turns out to be true.

William and Kate – collectively nicknamed WillKat – currently divide their time between Nottingham Cottage, a two-bedroom home in the grounds of Kensington Palace, and their Anglesey residence. However, they have been looking for a more permanent base since announcing their engagement in November 2010.

A source told The Mail on Sunday: ‘William and Kate visited Apartment 1A and loved it. Kate particularly adored the private walled garden because she loves gardening, and she just thought the house has so much potential. She also liked the fact it was so close to Kensington High Street. They had seen a state apartment at St James’s Palace, which they also rather liked, but they both agreed they wanted to live at Kensington Palace.’

William had initially proposed living at Apartment 8, Princess Diana’s old home, where he and Prince Harry lived from their births until 1998, and which is currently used as offices for Prince Charles.

‘They did look around Diana’s home where William grew up, but they both felt there were too many memories there,’ said the source. ‘Kate thought it would be too creepy. But she absolutely adored Princess Margaret’s house and thought it had a lot of potential. It hasn’t been an easy process, though, and there was a degree of difficulty getting the apartment back to the Royal Household so that it could be given to William and Kate.’

The apartment is currently managed by Historic Royal Palaces, an independent charity that looks after several important buildings, including the Tower of London and Hampton Court Palace. But the Queen intervened to persuade the organisation to hand the apartment back to the Royal Household. Historic Royal Palaces uses the apartment for offices, classrooms, storage and exhibitions. Earlier this year when The Mail on Sunday first reported that the couple hoped to move to Kensington Palace, the charity insisted there were no plans to hand Apartment 1A back to the Royal Household.

A senior aide revealed: ‘It has been a long process. There have been months of discussions and a lot of legal work in order for Princess Margaret’s apartment to be transferred back to the Royal Household. This has been to make it fair to the Historic Royal Palaces, which has invested a five-figure sum into making the apartment safe to work in. This financial investment will be compensated.’

The new royal digs are set to be designed by Kelly Hoppen, whose air fresheners and candles Kate favored when furnishing their temporary pad last summer.

“Kelly has already been selected to take care of the interior design at the palace,” a royal aide told Us. “They want to create a modern quarter to live in. She has been actively involved in meetings with William and Kate’s office.”

Married April 29, the pair are quickly settling in to domestic life.

“For day-to-day life, they are the Cambridges,” a source tells Us of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. “But behind closed doors they are calling each other Mr. and Mrs. Wales. It’s cute.”

Adds another royal insider: “They [are] a very low-key couple. They want to be very down to earth.”

[From The Mail and Us Weekly]

There are already “rumors” about a nursery in the new place, which… of course. They’re expected to bring an heir. I don’t get why people think it’s somehow shocking or newsworthy that they’re making design plans for a nursery. As far the dichotomy between a $1 million-plus renovation to a palace and William and Kate still pushing this “of the people” nonsense… well, somebody might buy it. I don’t. Also – note that KATE thought living in Diana’s old apartment would be “creepy”. Not William – he has some serious mother issues, I’m just saying.

Do you think Kate calls William “Mr. Wales” in bed? Doubtful. I bet she calls him “King William” or “sir”. Maybe “your royal highness”. Actually, scratch that. I doubt they have that much fun in bed.

After your photo of her “scar” on her head, all I can think about when I see her is hair extensions. She has them for sure. My God, if she is pregnant the constant stories will be so over the top obnoxious and boring.

  2. samira677 says:

I’d hate to be a celebrity. The littlest things explodes into a major event. I don’t know why people leap to pregnancy when it could be simply she can’t stand peanut butter.

  3. CT says:

@Samira: It’s because Kate’s entire purpose on this planet is to get knocked up.

Other celebrities, I’ll give you your consternation. But not Will and Kate.

  4. kazoo says:

maybe she hates peanut butter? it is pretty gross…

  5. Jackie says:

maybe kate is not pregnant, but rather her eating disorder has escalated to the point where she can’t even stomach a bit of peanut butter.

ya, will has mommy issues for sure.

  6. GoodCapon says:

‘About £1 million will now be spent renovating the lavish four-storey, 20-room Apartment 1A’

Didn’t they say they wanted to live life as a normal couple? Perhaps this is normal for them…

    P.S. Kaiser, what’s ‘colus’? 😀

  7. mel says:

Cha-ching, cha-ching! Waitey Katiey will never have to work again if she’s preggars.

  8. Amanda says:

Maybe she just doesn’t like peanut butter? I had no idea pregnant women weren’t supposed to eat peanut butter. Thats all I ate when I was pregnant with my youngest. Peanut butter sandwiches all day lol. He has no peanut allergy, but he doesn’t like peanut butter..go figure.

  9. L says:

Or maybe she just didn’t want to eat peanut butter off her husband’s finger. Ew. I wouldn’t.

  10. Addie says:

If their camp are not denying the rumors, then I am suspicious. Any denials yet?

I have noticed how Kate always looks at William with such awe and love.
I’m sure Will loves Kate a lot too, but it doesn’t show as much as it does with her. Maybe is isn’t much of a romantic.

  11. lin234 says:

It’s not exactly peanut butter. It’s a 5,000 calorie high protein paste for people in Africa. I’m going to go with too many calories.

  12. Elizabeth says:

Re : she thinks the house has a lot of potential
My itty bitty house could have a lot of potential too if I had $1.5 mil to renovate with. Just saying.
But it is costly to remove asbestos from a 4 storey, 20 room structure – you have to gut the place. And modern building standards probably require it. And Margaret smoked so much a little asbestos wasn’t an issue for her – her lungs were already shot.

  13. iseepinkelefants says:

Yeah I doubt these two still have sex (other than for procreation). She might have been kinky when she wanted to knab him, but that ended a long time ago when the papers announced the engagement for him.

As for this crp about little Waity getting her 1m renovation from the British taxpayers wallet (note only the DM has said they’ll foot some of the bill, everyone else says it’s completely tax funded), keep digging your grave. Everyone in the comments section lambasted these idiots. The few that were complimentary of them (you know “oh let her have her rennovations, they do so much for us [uk]), were red arrowed.

  14. Darlene says:

Maybe it just looked gross? I read about that paste and I’m not sure I’d want to eat it.

Also, her hair is her own, it’s obviously growing out of her own head.

  15. emmy says:

Maybe I’m feeling generous this morning, but I don’t think a million dollar renovation sounds that crazy. It sounds like they’re trying to fix legitimate problems with the building. It’s not like Waity just hates the marble. Though, a turquoise and pink color scheme does sound heinous. Plus, while Kate might not “work,” Will does and the home will be used for royal functions and charities. A million seems pretty normal by royal standards.

  16. CG says:

I’ve been rolling my eyes hard for the past few days over all this pregnancy speculation. Remember in Canada when she and Will were with the cowboys and they were given plates of food and she looked incredibly uncomfortable to have to choke a few bites down? You know Will got reamed over that. Bitch just doesn’t eat, people!

  17. The Original Mia says:

I don’t think she’s pregnant. I think she’s so weight-conscious she reacted without thinking of the diplomatic faux pas she was creating. The Palace is doing the best thing to cover for her, by letting everyone think she’s pregnant. If those rumors run rampant, no one will remember she was rude as hell to refuse to eat the paste that was meant for starving children.

Now, I could just be cynical and Dolittle has finally done something (gotten pregnant), but I doubt it.

  18. Cathy says:

whatever…glad they’re Englands problem and not ours

  19. Talie says:

“Actually, scratch that. I doubt they have that much fun in bed.”

I agree, which is kind of sad. I hope both of them had at least one hot fling during their 20s.

  20. bettyrose says:

On the one hand, prego or not, you’d think she’d take a tiny bite to be polite (and spit it into a napkin). On the other hand, she abhors food. So, I don’t think this is any more an indicator of her being pregnant than the fact that getting pregnant IS. HER. JOB.

  21. iseepinkelefants says:

emmy – no it won’t, it’s a private residence. The taxpayers who pay for this property will never step foot in it. The only “functions” that will go down in that place are private ones.

  22. stephanie says:

i would be pissed if i were a british taxpayer. “public grants” for their home renovation? I want a public grant for my home renovation.

  23. Minx2 says:

OMG.. I hate this belt! Where did she get it? Looks like something Joan Collins would wear. She probably didn’t want peanut butter because it’s fattening. 🙂

  24. L says:

Public grants are something that was going to go to the royal family anyway (whether or not you think that’s okay is another story). So it’s not like they are having to drum up the additional funds-it was earmarked for them already.

And “remove asbestos”. We had to do that in our old place, and it costs a FORTUNE. And we just had a 3 bedroom house not a historic preserved one. And 20 rooms? My god, most of the money is prob going towards that.

That all said, I’m biased as I like Will and Kate. (who the hell calls them wilkat?) But I do love the catty comments still. 🙂

  25. Emma says:

Well I’m happy to hear they are making a home for themselves. Why should they have to remain in a two-bedroom cottage? I mean, that is normal for most of us, but they are not “normal.” The palace is not convincing on that note.

  26. Kloops says:

I vote eating disorder. If pregnant, one little bite is not going to cause an allergy. And I agree, the palace is allowing the pregnancy speculation to distract from the fact that she has a raging eating disorder and couldn’t even be polite enough to sample food designed to keep starving children alive. Oh the horror.

  27. Reece says:

I think Will & Harry both have mommy issues. Which why Will married a woman who will be a “good little wife” but let’s face it, probably won’t ever be very pro-active. She might turn out to be one of those super moms though…eventually. You know at every recital, football game, etc, etc.
    Harry is…Harry…haha!

  28. Anne says:

Oh good grief, if she was pregnant and had eaten it and later on the kid did develop an allergy, then you would all pile on and insist that eating the paste was the problem. Duchess Kate will never do anything right for you.You will find fault in any action because you are determined to hate her.

  29. Shelly says:

I think Duchess Kate is pretty boring. I’ll be more excited when Prince Harry gets married, as I think he’ll marry a spitfire who may provide us with hours of free entertainment.

  30. cprincess says:

Mommy issues? Their mother died a tragic early death for gods sake and whatever I or anyone else thinks about Diana -there was no question that she was a great mother who did not screw them up…
Ive said this before-you people really have it in for Kate dont you?
    Why?
SHe looks great -albeit very thin but if she was a little chunky, she would be hounded for that..
She’s very natural and is doing amazingly well and actually yes-I can imagine them screwing prodigiously so yeah-expect the knocked up announcement soon…

  31. Jess says:

Ok shes obviously NOT pregnant. She just didnt want to eat “peanut butter paste” and really, neither would I if there were going to be pictures of me sucking some paste off of my fingers. There is NO established links that say eating peanut butter is bad for you while pregnant. I’m eating right now and I’m almost 16 weeks along…

  32. OriginalGracie says:

I disagree. I think they have lots of fun in bed. They have a very strong chemistry between them that you can see.

It’s the quiet ones who are hell on wheels in bed. My boyfriend and I are the same way. You would never imagine what goes on by meeting us.

  33. bluhare says:

I’ve always liked her, but recently I get the feeling she’s really starting to like being a royal. And not in a good way.

    Hope I’m wrong.

  34. the original bellaluna says:

Yeah, this is me not caring. Pregnant, not pregnant; moving, not moving; whatever.

  35. ruby says:

What shocks me is not the price of the renovation (yeah removing asbestos means stripping the place bare and basically rebuilding it, it costs a bomb), but the fact that they bullied that poor charity into giving the apartment back. That was.. unnecessary when they could have had so much choice of housing, and it doesn’t make them come accross well at all.

And about Kate and pregnancy and food – I agree, she probably felt too disgusted by the idea of food to try it. I have been anorexic in the past, and I know the feeling. What I resent with Kate is that she has set herself as the princess millions of girls look up to – and she messes it up by becoming skeletal. Girl, do you realize the message you are sending out to all these young girls ? It’s ok and even necessary to be stick thin. Then everyone compliments you, you wear nice clothes, you get admired by everyone. Great message to get out there.

As for the pregnancy… I study biology. Sexual hormones are litteraly made out of fat (lipids). How the heck will this girl get pregnant ? (Which is actually her job, so this situation is absolutely ridiculous. How can she be this stupid ? If you want to be fertile you have to be a certain weight). When you get like this you don’t even get your period any more.

  36. Hmmm says:

The renovation will be partly supported by”public grants”?????? Jesus. What a waste of space royals are.

And Waity Dolittle didn’t care for Diana’s apartment because it was too “creepy”? Like wearing her ring isn’t the ultimate in creepy??? Ye gods. Who writes this stuff?

  37. benny says:

Who cares? Kate turned out to be a dud. Who cares if this doormat pops out a kid or not. The Queen already has enough kids and grandkids to ensure her line of succession, so William having a kid really doesn’t matter.

And who cares if another Windsor enters the world anyway. What the world should be doing is figuring out a way to get the 200 or so people in line for the throne who are ahead of Crown Princess Victoria disqualified, so she can take the throne in Great Britain as well. Now THAT would be the best thing that could happen for them.

  38. lin234 says:

@ruby- I looked at the apartment comparison in the Daily Mail and another obvious reason is that Princess Margaret’s Place is bigger than Diana’s. The charity pretty much wanted to keep the place but Waity wouldn’t agree to Diana’s old place so the Queen bullied the charity into giving it up.

I think William was willing to go along with Diana’s place because it’s most convenient but Waity didn’t wait ten years to get seconds again.

I think Katie is the British version of Jennifer Aniston. They both have really nice hair, body, but are vanilla in the face. There is nothing really interesting about them but they will be popular because of the first two points.

  39. Anne says:

I find it strange that asbestos wasn’t removed long ago. Princess Margaret had poor health(part of which was her own doing like the smoking), but asbestos expsosure could have been an issue as well. How safe could it have been for the charity workers in that environment anyway?

  40. Chrissy says:

I don’t think it’s weird to want to raise your family in the same house you grew up in! I would in a heartbeat!

As for not eating peanut butter while pregnant, isn’t that the opposite of what docs are saying now?? You would want the baby’s immune system to know what peanut butter is rather than have the system think it’s something that needs to be fought off. I was reading that docs are even recommending that celiacs should eat even the tiniest bit of gluten during the pregnancy so the baby can hopefully handle it. But what do I know …

  41. Kara Ann says:

William and Harry both seem to be remarkably well-adjusted men to me considering the huge amount of media attention/speculation that their entire family engenders.
I think the “mommy issue” that they have is that they, unfortunately, lost their mother when they were very young. If they seek out girlfriends/wives who have stable families, that doesn’t seem much of an “issue” to me.
RE: Duchess Kate…I agree that she needs to gain some weight back. As far as starting a family, good for them whenever they are ready.

  42. Holly:) says:

I think it is hilarious how some people are debating how much fun Will and Kate have in bed. Does that really matter?

Also, I wish that if Kate is pregnant that she did it because she wants a child, and not because she is being pressured into it..but that probably isn’t go to happen. So, I’ll just shut up.

  43. SamiHami says:

I love how so many posters seem to magically know he intimate details of their lives. They don’t have fun in bed. She is anorexic and cannot get pregnant, she’s boring and greedy…blah, blah, blah. Those posts are just ridiculous. No matter what she does, some people will find fault.

She is a lovely young woman who clearly loves her husband and is enjoying her new life. Who cares that they took a long time to marry? After what his parents went through, I don’t blame William for waiting.

  44. eternalcanadian says:

I really don’t think Catherine is pregnant. I still remember that “snub” she gave to the Canadian Rangers that cooked what was a pretty good grilled fish and bannock. The look on Catherine’s face as she gingerly sat down on the rock and pushed the food around on the plate while William chowed down was pretty “Omg, food, what the heck do I do now? There’s food on my lap!” Also, don’t forget that cooking school in Montreal where William again was sampling just about everything and Catherine looked ill at even touching the food let alone eating it. Lastly, how about that infamous beach scene where under the tent William was “I’m so hungry, feed me” and Catherine was like, “I guess I’ll take one teeny, tiny bite of lobster” even though a whole display of Atlantic Canada food had been prepared.

So a little nibble of what is like 3,000 calorie peanut paste will send her into fits so of course she wouldn’t have any. Same with drinks. Champagne is like 120 calories for just half a cup! That’s why she only drinks plain water.

So yeah, not pregnant, just OCD about letting any iota of food in that stick-thin body of hers. This really was quite ironic if not hypocritical considering where they were–in Denmark helping at that UN mission to pack food for the starving children in Africa.

Oh, and that $1.5 million renovation to Kenny Palace? That thing about the asbestos is a bunch of crock. For one thing, Margaret, her family (when they were still all together), and her staff lived there until 2002. Then the charity took over residence for the next 8 years. Wouldn’t someone have been all “Eek! There’s asbestos here!” before now? That money is being spend to fancy up the place. “We just want to be normal” means “Our daddy (Prince Charles) and grandmother (Queen Elizabeth) are paying for it.” 😛

As for Catherine being creeped out living in Apartment 8, did she forget that it was also Charles, Harry, William, and the staff that lived there, not just Diana? If you want creeped out, try looking at that bling-ding on your finger, yeah. 😉

  45. The Original Mia says:

@eternalcanadian: The woman clearly abhors calories. Clearly. I’d forgotten how silly she looked moving food around her plate at the campfire. It was all so eye-rolling.

As far as the renovations, the Palace should have just been honest because otherwise, they appear to be negligent. No alarms were sounded when Margaret and her family where there. No alarms were sounded when the charity was there. Now, all of a sudden there’s absestos! Must renovate!

And I agree about the ring too. If she’s not creeped out by Diana’s ring on one hand and Camilla’s bracelet on the other arm, she’s not creeped out by an apartment.

  46. JulieM says:

I’m with all those who think Waity didn’t sample the peanut paste because she just does not eat.

SamiHami: All you have to do is look at her to know she has an eating disorder. No speculation involved or necessary. Same for her being boring. I’ll agree with you about their sex life; we have no idea. Enjoying her new life; what’s not to love. Fabulous home renovated at tax payers expense; minimal work.

Those of us who do not like her would have been more likely to cut her some slack if she had actually done something, anything, for the last ten years other than snag William.

  47. Bermuda Blues says:

$1.5 Million is obscene. Especially considering how little Kate has done, work-wise, since marrying William. It’s one thing for the Queen to have a renovation. It’s another thing entirely for this lazy slag to re-do a second property while biding her time, avoiding any real work, any real charitable responsibilities. She should have to *earn* that renovation. She should have $1.5 million worth of charitable hours logged before she’s granted such a pricey and excessive gift. Its not like this property will be used by William for at least a year. He’s going to the Falklands. Kate’s not pleased about that. She won’t be pregnant until after the Olympics. Doesn’t want to look fat for all posterity!

  48. diana says:

Ok. After looking at photos and videos of them, this is what I personally conclude: with how time goes by the one that looks more uncomfortable with the partner, is Will. He looks so nervous in the UNICEF video while she is struggling to say a word or two….he displays this huge fake smile in almost all their photos…. and is just not coming from inside. He does act protective of Kate, because his mom thought him so…but he is uncomfortable with his role and with Kate being in the spotlight. I think he slowly sees she was just not cut off for this role. She might wanted it badly enough to wait so long for him to propose, but truly….he is unhappy. The lovey thing she displays might be true…however she trained herself to be that way at all times. She just fills in a role, playing the person she thinks he might need..somekind of woman’s intuition, but…truly is Wills that is stuck. Is very sad when you see his tormented face in that UNICEF video. I think he would have run if he could. The whole thing he did after their break-up years back….”i’m finally free”…i think he really meant that….after the break-up he found himself stuck in this prince role and nobody really wanted him. That’s why he went back to kate. You know what people? I think we all are wondering if kate will be Diana all over again? But I think Will is Diana. We are just looking at the wrong person. He clearly suffers that he doesn’t have a way out of this “royal life” that I think he hates.

  49. diana says:

so 1.5 million….now I get why is she recycling clothing. saving up for the fixer upper? hahaha…what a joke!

  50. Kelly says:

    She’s useless. Next.

  51. Flan says:

I don’t like passive, waiting, disinterested Kate.

But I love that bitchface of her in the helmet.

  52. eternalcanadian says:

@diana: Well said! We all know how William reacted when he dumped Catherine, that “Yay! I am finally free!” which really says a lot and if he really loved her and was worried she was getting in too deep with the royal life he wouldn’t be so happy, eh?

Then of course all the women he tried to hook up with after he dumped Catherine only wanted that jiggy in the sack, or didn’t even touch him with a 10-foot pole. Then when the press brought Catherine’s family into the gossip, making fun of them and so forth, he felt bad as he does really like them. And because no other woman was wanting to take Catherine’s place in the “royal life” he probably was like “Bugger, I guess I gotta take her back.” But why? He could have done a Prince Albert and just dilly-dallied around for another 10 years or so. It is not like the British monarchy will fall apart if he didn’t marry or have an heir or spare in the next 10 years because even if the Queen died tomorrow, there’s Charles and then William, and really you don’t need a wife to become King. Just saying.

So he may indeed have been stuck with Catherine because he has that guilt persona. That because of him the public and the press are making fun of the Middletons and it is his entire fault so he better fix it.

That’s kind of weird! It could very well be it is William we should be concerned about, not Catherine! Remember those interviews where William said outright he did not want to do the “royal stuff.” And rightly so, as he’s so awkward in these public situations and this recent trip to Denmark really pointed that out.

Something that I didn’t realize before because I was comparing William and Catherine with Charles and Diana, and how nice and relaxed they looked with each other, but when I looked at Frederik and Mary they looked even better with both each other and the public while William and Catherine looked forced if not “putting up with it” with each other. Maybe because Frederik and Mary were at home in Denmark doing something familiar and just being hosts to William and Catherine they came across as better-equipped with each other and with the public (plus having four children together might do that to a couple), but it was still quite startling to me to see the differences in interactions between the couples!

I wonder what William and Catherine would be like if they were to do something like that at home in England with another royal couple like Victoria and Daniel of Sweden or Felipe and Letizia of Spain. Would they be relaxed because they are on familiar ground or would they be all wooden like they were in Denmark? Would be interesting to find out!

  53. failla says:

    I vote:

    Eating Disorder

Hair Extensions(those were extensions she got caught with in her head, because suddenly this week the scar is gone!)

Boring Sex (I doubt her hip bones are alluring.)

Pr.William already looking for an exit after one child perhaps.

Kate’s turning into Wallis Simpson. Squinched up fugly face and stick body.

  54. Luise says:

So agree Failla. Your’e spot on about the “SCAR” being hair extensions. It has disappeared and her hair years ago was never voluminous like it has been since she became engaged. That’s why she is constantly stroking it all the time. Because she has extensions/weave and she’s neurotic and OCD about it. She never had hair like that before and now she does and she can’t keep her hands off it. And if she had brain surgery, what exactly was that all about? They won’t say because they can’t….it never happened. Fake hair and fake brain surgery.

  55. diana says:

I totally believe that is William that suffers from feeling “stuck”. Is truly sad, because he was born to a life in a bowl. He did not choose that. He tries so incredibly hard to make himself less than what his title is…that is just painful to watch. Same unhappy smile that princess Di had in all her pictures. And it’s a state of mind that his mom struggled with….passed on to her son. Is something in William’s way of being that tells me he will NOT be the next king. He seems very sensitive and I’m sure Kate is much more ok with the comments made on her expense by everyone than he is. He is the one that makes the palace issue those statements to protect her. Is he the one that suffers that Kate is being criticized. He will be the one to try to break out free from all this circus. Not her. She is fine. He is not. He is not in love, he feels responsible and guilty for what she and her family has to go through, he doesn’t want to be a royal whatsoever, never mind being a king. Mark my words. Drama will be William’s signature, not his wife. When we say something bad about Kate, it hits him, because he watched his mom struggle with this. No matter how much Kate probably tells him i’m fine…. He takes it in and feels hopeless. Whatever Kate has in her hands right now is too much for her and her family to deal with. They have to deal with William’s state of mind. And for such a uneducated family feelings and emotions are something totally new. To the extent that William feels them. Mark my words and watch William. Go watch that video. It is awful: anxiety, insecurity, depression, overwhelmed and stuck. He wants out and he will get out. And Kate or no Kate is less important now. It is the press and situation that he hates. The responsibility that he faces, the being told what to do, what to say, where he goes, to an extent that not even him ever experience it before. This is where having a personality would help if Kate would have had one. But she does not. A nice wonderful perky personality that would make the world love her. Artsy and warm. mature but innocent. And I truly think most of the people see her for what she is. Empty shell. It makes me laugh to see all the “what a lovely young lady” comments….those are not comments made by 20, 30, 40 year old people….and young adults are Kate and Will target audience. And that audience does not like Kate. Also I think the not eating and the shrinking figure comes from depression and not know what to do. I’m sure the only thing she can do is not to look fat. Anything else is just doesn’t, or she would have done it by now.
