Bill Belichick, the former coach/GM of the New England Patriots, was interviewed on CBS Sunday Morning this past weekend. The eight-minute segment did not do Belichick any favors. He seemed tired or out-of-it or just not as sharp as he once was, which isn’t a big deal considering the guy is 73 years old. What was remarkable about the interview was the presence of Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. They met in 2021 but only officially became a couple last year. Since becoming official, it seems like Jordon has taken over Belichick’s life, and she basically “manages” him and his public appearances nowadays. She has some kind of official position too. Well, Jordon snapped during her boyfriend’s interview and she stormed out of the room. The clip went viral and some people thought Belichick needed a wellness check. Well, he’s finally spoken up in defense of young Jordon.
Bill Belichick is speaking out for the first time after his now-viral interview with CBS Sunday Morning, and defending his girlfriend Jordon Hudson. Belichick, 73, issued a statement on Wednesday, April 30 regarding his interview in promotion of his new book The Art of Winning: Lessons from a Life in Football, that went sideways when Hudson, 24, shut down journalist Tony Dokoupil’s question about how they met.
“I agreed to speak with CBS Sunday Morning to promote my new book, The Art of Winning — Lessons from My Life in Football. Prior to this interview, I clearly communicated with my publicist at Simon & Schuster that any promotional interviews I participated in would agree to focus solely on the contents of the book,” Belichick began the statement, sent via email from his employer, the University of North Carolina.
“Unfortunately, that expectation was not honored during the interview. I was surprised when unrelated topics were introduced, and I repeatedly expressed to the reporter, Tony Dokoupil, and the producers that I preferred to keep the conversation centered on the book,” he continued. “After this occurred several times, Jordon, with whom I share both a personal and professional relationship, stepped in to reiterate that point to help refocus the discussion.”
Hudson shutting down the question about their first meeting led to speculation from viewers about the origin of the couple’s relationship, which Belichick addressed in his statement.
“She was not deflecting any specific question or topic but simply doing her job to ensure the interview stayed on track,” he said Wednesday. “Some of the clips make it appear as though we were avoiding the question of how we met, but we have been open about the fact that Jordon and I met on a flight to Palm Beach in 2021.”
“The final eight-minute segment does not reflect the productive 35-minute conversation we had, which covered a wide range of topics related to my career,” he concluded, calling out CBS. “Instead, it presents selectively edited clips and stills from just a few minutes of the interview to suggest a false narrative — that Jordon was attempting to control the conversation — which is simply not true.”
My general thoughts: I can totally understand how Belichick and his young “manager” told CBS that they should not ask any personal questions, and Belichick was probably shocked that Tony Dokoupil disregarded that request. Because it’s CBS Sunday Morning, part of the CBS News division. They’re not Entertainment Tonight, you know? Belichick should have known that he would get personal questions, and Jordon should have briefed her boyfriend on how to answer those questions or deflect the subject. That is her job, after all??? Anyway, imagine accidentally exposing the fact that your young girlfriend/manager/publicist was not smart enough to anticipate some personal questions.
That’s not all – The Athletic (via the Daily Beast) revealed this week that Jordon screwed up Belichick’s deal to appear on the HBO docuseries Hard Knocks. Hard Knocks spends one season with a football team, and they planned to spend two months with UNC’s Tar Heels, where Belick coaches now. Apparently, Jordon wanted to be “heavily involved” in the Hard Knocks production, and when HBO shrugged off her requests, suddenly Belichick had no time for HBO. The Athletic also reported that Jordon Hudson repeatedly identified herself as the “COO of Belichick Productions” which “The Athletic was unable to find a company registered with that name in any state.” Hudson is a hustler but she honestly doesn’t know what she’s doing business-wise. She’s just controlling Belichick for the fun of it.

What’s that saying: There’s no fool like an old fool. That’s how he is coming off with his new very young piece of tail. He used to handle his interviews when he was an NFL couch with an iron fist. He even had some control of his players interviews and what they were allowed to say. Now he has a new piece and he is being ruled not by the brain in his head but by his head down below. He found himself a real piece of work who is using his fame ( and trying to control him with her body) to make something for herself.
How are these dudes not embarrassed to be such sad cliches? If they’ve been together since 2021, he was 69 hitting on a woman not old enough to legally drink.
As for her, there are rich dudes in their 30s. Maybe try Wall Street?

In the NFL, he had more control over his interactions with the public and media. He could do the bare minimum and get away with it. College football is literally a whole other ballgame. There’s so much gladhanding with boosters, Rotary Club lunches, general fan interaction and recruiting. If you thought Kelce unfollowing Ryan Reynolds was overblown, you should see how breathlessly covered how many likes from coaches a top recruit’s social media posts get reported online and discussed on sports talk radio. It’s a whole level of modern personal brand marketing that Belichick has never had to do before. It makes sense that he sought help with that, but turning it over to his overmatched paramour makes less sense when his book publisher has plenty of PR folks and UNC has an entire Sports Information Department at his disposal.

It’s so weird to watch him go from a woman who is a Vanderbilt grad and a successful TV presenter to a 24 year old woman who seems incredibly thirty and attention-seeking, with no real career prospects beyond a cosmetology license (not a dig on cosmetology school but she does have a college degree so…).
And you can’t say that Bill was threatened by Linda’s success–he was with her for 16 years.

Two of his sons are on the football staff with their dad. So in theory they have daily interactions with him and have a front row seat for what is going on.
I think it was page six found she bought 4 different properties in Boston in the first months of dating him. They each were about a million in down payments, a million or so in mortgages (per propriety!). All of the mortgages have been paid off. So she’s had her hands on 8+ million cash in the past two years.
She clearly wrote that email “statement” from him, there’s no way he’s bitching about how clips are edited to make her look.
They clearly had some kind of sugar daddy connection, at least at first. I’m trying to remember, I saw an nfl guy, maybe a former player of his say something shady about them. The implication was that she is some kind of honeypot, but it had something to do with them meeting earlier than publicly known, like in her teens 😬. Yes! The properties were all larger old townhomes that were turned into multi family rentals. Three story place turned into triplex, that type of thing.

It was Chris somebody, the former Vikings kicker who has always been outspoken for gay rights and got arrested in January protesting a MAGA plaque in his town’s library. The interview was strange. I don’t know who this guy is and have never seen another interview of his before this but what stood out to me was he looked disheveled in a torn up sweatshirt and appeared confused at times. For example, they asked about his instagram posts and it was obvious he had no clue what was posted on his instagram (I.e photos of him and this young woman). Clearly she is controlling his social media (which is full of thirst traps of her and him).
Then the young girlfriend came across as controlling and mean. He seemed scared of her, if you asked me.
Sure, maybe it’s a mutually beneficial gold digger situation but this situation was raising red flags for elder abuse to me.
Belichick’s go-to wardrobe is torn up sweatshirt and has been for decades. That’s not the part that was off. The rest of it is very off and very unlike him.

He’s never been (or really needed to be) online before now. His previous girlfriend handled the social media for his foundation when he was a pro coach. So it’s not surprising he’s not engaged with his social media. It’s just another non-football distraction he’s traditionally delegated to someone else.
However, being online and on social media is a critical part of being a college football coach because it’s a way to express continued interest in a high school recruit. He just made a bad choice of picking someone who desperately wants to be in the spotlight to be his behind the scenes help. That never works out well.

As someone from a Chapel Hill family (my father and brother went to UNC), I am annoyed that this woman screwed up the team’s chances to be featured on that HBO season.
His kids must be tearing their hair out over this. I cannot imagine how I’d feel if my 72-year-old father were with a woman this young. When my father passed at age 80 he literally had a granddaughter who was 24. I know they’re both adults but we are talking about almost a half a century of years between them. FFS.

I guess I’ll be the voice of dissent on this one – he wanted her for her youth and looks, she wanted him for his power and money. Tale as old as time. The only difference here is she’s approaching this like a job – which it is, actually – and it getting paid with actual money and property vs nice purses and dinners. When they eventually split, she will have something to show for her time invested. Good for her.
I don’t feel sorry for him. If he’s sharp enough to coach and manage the UNC football team, he’s cogent enough to hire this sex worker (non-derogatory) for a “girlfriend experience” of his own free will. If they lost out on Hard Knocks, it’s more his fault than hers, as she may be the COO but he’s the CEO. Probably not doing the show is a good move – Bellechick does not have the personality for it anyway and it would have punctured a lot of mythos around him. It appears to me that they are both fully aware of what is going on and they are the only ones that matter.
As for his children, who are all adults, two of them are working on his football staff and one was guaranteed to be his successor as Head Coach for the team, so they must be around these two and aware of the dynamic. Maybe they don’t like it but since they are leeching off of the old man just like her, they don’t have room to object. Or maybe they don’t care as long as their dad seems happy and their checks clear. Personally I think they are a great match – even shallow people deserve companionship.

There’s no way she’s 24. I just went to an event with a bunch of 19-25 year olds and this woman does not look 24 at all.
