Duchess Kate’s phantom pregnancy might yield a $1 million “push present”

Whenever People Magazine does one of their biggest-selling issues of the year, like Sexiest Man Alive, the other tabloids seem to go in hyper-drive trying to come up with bigger and better headlines to grab newsstand readers. I honestly thought we’d be getting more Brangelina covers, but it looks like everybody wants to talk about Duchess Kate’s womb right now. Speculation went into overdrive when Kate refused to taste peanut paste during a photo op trip to Copenhagen, and now Kate and her phantom pregnancy took the covers of both In Touch Weekly and Star Magazine this week.

Star seems to be saying that Kate’s fetus is quietly killing her, maybe because it takes all of those delicious nutrients that Kate so rarely imbibes (because she’s off of solids, remember). In Touch’s story is a tad nicer – according to them, Kate is six weeks along, she’s already preparing the nurseries (multiple!) and William will be giving her a $1 million “push present”. Meanwhile, E! News’s source claims that Kate isn’t pregnant – YET.

Royal babies are in the heir…While rumors are swirling that Ms. Middleton is already expecting, we had to give you the official palace scoop on the matter. So, is she or isn’t she? And how will the royal announcement be made?

“There have been reports to the contrary worldwide, but the fact is that the Duchess of Cambridge is not pregnant. Does she hope to be soon? I should say so,” insisted a royal aide close to the couple.

What a royal bummer! But we can still goss on when, exactly, the couple will expand the royal fam, right? Except there’s someone putting the couple’s plans on hold (and it’s not the queen):

“Prince William will be on active military duty in the Falkland Islands from early in the New Year, and there is no earthly way he would be assigned 8,000 miles from home if the Duchess of Cambridge were expecting,” explained a second palace insider.

OK, we guess we’re satisfied with that explanation. After all, Kate’s still adjusting to the stress of her new life, so it’s crucial the couple wait until the time is right, right?

But according to our first palace source, the time is right now:

“Wouldn’t it be wonderful, in these days of economic gloom, for an announcement to come shortly? I think it would be a terrific morale booster for the whole country,” he teased us. Wow, that’s pretty good for one of those normally dry Brit royal types—tantalizing and hinting to us at the same time!

And when the announcement comes, our royal aide insisted it would be very official:
“There aren’t going to be any leaks. There will be an announcement when the time comes from Kensington Palace.”

He continued, but not without a little quip to the News of the World phone-hacking scandal:

“Trust me, this is not going to be the sort of announcement that will be pre-empted by anyone hacking into royal mobile phone voice messages.”

[From E! News]

I think people might like Kate a bit more if William did run off to the Falklands for six weeks while she was knocked up. She would get to play the dutiful military wife, whose only companionship is a bag of liquid eyeliners.

Here’s what I really think – that Kate will be knocked up sooner rather than later. I think it would be really odd if she wasn’t pregnant on her first wedding anniversary. And please, don’t start screaming at me about how YOU didn’t do that and I’m not really a FEMINIST for saying that – just stop. We’re talking about the royal family, and new royal brides are expected to produce an heir quickly. And we’re talking about Kate and Will. He made her wait for NINE YEARS to get married, and she’s turning 30 in January. Royal brides are usually younger, they don’t have to wait as long, and I think Kate would want to get on this whole baby thing quickly. But then again, I’ve been wrong about her before. And she does hate to exert herself… so who knows?

PS… These are just more photos of Kate on Remembrance Day, a somber occasion – many of you noted how smiley and giggly she was. Inappropriate?

  1. Angie says:

I don’t understand what is wrong with getting pregnant right away. I brought my first child home on my one year anniversary, big deal…
Actually, the best gift I ever received.

  2. S says:

For getting pregnant, shed had to eat something. So i cannot see her pregnant in the next months.

  3. MollyB says:

Nothing wrong with trying for a baby right away, especially as women tend to get married later in life these days. We wanted a “honeymoon” baby but had fertility problems. Feminism is making YOUR OWN choices about YOUR OWN life.

  4. ladybert62 says:

    God I hate those hats!

I also agree and have previously said that she will be pregnant by the first wedding anniversary or the queen will be having some words with william.

  5. Kittypants says:

She always looks so much older than her actual age. Pretty sure it’s the make-up.

  6. Diane says:

“She would get to play the dutiful military wife, whose only companionship is a bag of liquid eyeliners”

    I’m crying with laughter here.

  7. Christine says:

I wish she’d do something with her hair. I see she’s maintaining the look of a teenage school girl.
And she has a habit of running her fingers through it during official functions. Immature.

  8. HoustonGrl says:

I’m in no particular hurry to hear of a royal insemination. However, I do wish they’d consider adoption. Now THAT would be cool & modern.

  9. UKHels says:

she looks and dresses like a 70’s air hostess

    that bloody awful eyeliner!

  10. alfabc says:

I am sure they are freaking out that she is not pregnant.

  11. dorothy says:

If she would gain 5-10 lbs. she would look so much better.

  12. really says:

It is her job to get pregnant! She would seem rather silly if she would put hold or timely waste for her duties to the establishment!

If she is has any ounce of intelligence, she will be pregnant yesterday, if not truly soon.

  13. Aurelia says:

She ain’t preggi, she’s just annorexic and carked it because she hasn’t eaten solids in a year.

Can just see poor waity going to see her doctor asking for blood test to see if she really is pregnant. She has missed a period but is returning negative tests so far,

The doc gets the resullts and says no love, you just need to eat something. Your’e so thin you have stopped your periods. Sorry, not pregnant.

  14. Beatrix says:

I’m with @HoustonGrl – imagine the wonderful message they would be sending the world….never gonna happen, though. They can still preserve that wonderfully inbred bloodline with a child down the line, but if they were to adopt, they’d surely be the inspirational couple for decades.

  15. RobN says:

She’s 30, it’s really not surprising that if they want a couple of kids, that they’d get started fairly quickly. If she waited years, then you’d all be picking at her for waiting too long and taking a chance on a high-risk pregnancy. I can see lots of nasty posts that start “at her age…”

  16. spinner says:

I can’t help it. I totally love her. She is so lovely & I wish her well.

  17. Samigirl says:

I seriously doubt she would start planning nurseries at 6 weeks. I’m 14 weeks and we haven’t done anything pertaining to a nursery other than pick out stuff if I’m having a girl. That’s all.

  18. alfabc says:

I have the feeling that the royal family walks on eggshells around her.

  19. serenitea says:

Spinner — can I just ask you why you love her? What has she done that makes you “love” her? Just really curious. Thanks.

  20. Katie says:

Molly B. I LOVE that definition of feminism. I do not have children because I do not want them, but I support my friends who do. Their kids are pretty cool, but it’s nice to leave them with their parents at the end of the day!

  21. becky says:

    So…
who thinks her pre-wedding physical tested her fertility?I mean, it’s so rude, but could they risk a barren wife for William?

  22. diana says:

Hahahah….muhahahaha…..”She would get to play the dutiful military wife, whose only companionship is a bag of liquid eyeliners…”

  23. OsMom says:

Geez, what’s with the Kate hate? So she waited to get her guy–lots of people do. And how can you say she is ‘off solids’ unless you dine with her on a regular basis?

As far as the Remembrance Day photos, have you been to a funeral or memorial service? It’s not all doom and gloom – more like a lot of appreciation and good memories so smiling is not inappropriate at all.

  24. diana says:

hey kaiser! i just love the photos you choose when it comes to waity! seriously!

  25. MissVJJ says:

LOVE HER! Do what you like girl. Ignore the haters!

  26. Jess says:

Soo stupid! Most people don’t even find out they are pregnant until they are around 6 weeks along- and don’t get an ultrasound until after 8 weeks. There is also no reason for her to go public with the pregnancy until after the first trimester (14 weeks) is behind her (and the risk of miscarriage is less). The rag mags need to leave her alone and let make her own announcement when and if she wants to. Nobody in their right mind would be 6 weeks pregnant and advertising because 1 in 4 pregnancies miscarry before the 8 week mark. STUPID!

  27. lucy2 says:

Given that they were together so long before marriage, it makes sense to me that they got married when they were ready to start a family. But the tabloids are going to be awful until then!
Wow, she really does where a LOT of makeup every day, huh? Wonder what she looks like without it. Probably younger and prettier.

  28. Jane says:

Beatrix – by definition Will and Kate’s baby can’t be inbred. I realize you’re speaking historically, but her genes ought to lighten the Windsor load.

  29. Madisyn says:

God, were going to get reports EVERY F*CKNG MONTH until EITHER Kate is actually pregnant OR not in her child bearing years anymore. So expect “Kate is Pregnant” AT LEAST once a month for the next 15 years or so.

  30. layla says:

WTF?! Is a push present and when did this become the norm?? (Yes I know Rachel Zoe bragged about hers, but that was the FIRST I had ever even heard of the term) Is this a US thing???

  31. Dani says:

I see her having fertility problems. She probably won’t have kids for a few years, perhaps around 35.

I love the hats. Love them. I wish the custom of wearing them to formal events would cross the Atlantic.

    The eyeliner doesn’t bother me.

  32. Lady D says:

HoustonGrl, what an incredible idea. That would send an awesome message.
    Madisyn, I’m afraid you’re right.

  33. iseepinkelefants says:

I know my hate for Waity knows no bounds, but to be serious for a moment, I really hope there are plenty of nannies around. I think Wills will probably make a good dad (I know Harry would, he’s so good with children), but I don’t get “motherly” from Waity. I know it’s hard to make a judgment on someone who doesn’t show even a smidgen of a personality but to me she’s so cold. And in the 9 years she’s been in the public eye I don’t think I’ve ever seen her around children, volunteering for a children;s charity or even playing with her friend’s (and by that I mean William’s) kids. I’ve never even seen her around an animal (oh wait I take that back she likes to shoot pheasants with a shotgun). I know there are plenty of “unmotherly” women that have kids and their great with them, but I’m really curious to see how Waity acts around a kid. Who knows it might bring out something good in her?

And I agree with the others, it’s her job to have a kid. The Queen will not be happy if she let them wait 9 years and they haven’t gotten pregnant by their 1st anniversary. If Waity were barren, how would the Monarchy act I wonder? That would be interesting.

Aurelia – she’d just load on in vitro. I’m convinced that’s how anos like Rachel Zoe and Nicole Richie got pregnant. It’s not humanely possibly for women so underweight to get pregnant, yet they popped out children. I’m also convinced that’s why there are so many multiple births now. I’m a twin and it used to be a rarity, now it’s like everyone and their grandma is having twins.

  34. Lady D says:

Hey, there is nothing in this article or the In Touch one, about this million $ gift. I want to know what it is.

  35. iseepinkelefants says:

Jane – while you’re right they won’t technically be “inbred” there was a story when they got married that they’re actually related in some way (12th cousins or something to that effect). Which begs the question is Great Britain that tiny and inbred that everyone is related in some shape or form?

  36. teehee says:

@Samigirl: But remember, you probably have a job, and Kate-? Kate doesnt have anythign else to do…

  37. Carolyn says:

A bit of respect for the future King’s wife please. I’m Australian and am feeling very pro-Royal today in the face of such non-love for William & Kate. Remembrance Day is a huge day for all Commonwealth countries and we take it seriously. Even children at school stop for a minute’s silence. Smiling is OK. Kate is on a different planet than average celebrities and doesn’t follow US PR “rules”. She wouldn’t care less about the nasty things being said about her, including the rants on her makeup skills and hair. She got the future King and beat a ton of other girls to him. She wins. I like them as a couple.

  38. The Original Mia says:

She definitely had a pre-engagement fertility check. No way the Firm would leave that to chance.

  39. jane16 says:

God, that eye makeup is so awful.

  40. diana says:

@Carolyn: you are telling us to respect Waity? Girl! Kate ain’t smiling in those photos, she is laughing like an idiot! In most of the photos I have seen of her that day! And you might like the woman but she isn’t popular in England! And if you would bother to see those hundreds of negative comments and reviews posted on any of the news published in any editorial in England you would know it as well. Here (on this site) we are kind to her! Just check those out! And she isn’t slammed with negative comments because of the eye sore makeup to begin with!! Sorry to inform you but Kate hate is kind of viral in England right now! Rightfully so though! And yeap! is she gives a damn about anything in this world is what is being said about her. remember the Palace commenting on how Kate has a scar not hair extensions? Hm…go figure! She actually does give a damn about this! because that’s all she does! aside from spending England’s money of course!

  41. Velaine says:

In Touch’s story is BS! I don’t know whether the woman is pregnant or not, but I DO know that the earliest a woman will even know for herself if she’s pregnant is 4 weeks. And some women don’t know for a while longer than that. So the idea of her being six weeks pregnant, and not only setting up nurseries, but also letting enough people know for it to spill into a tabloid is preposterous. Sorry. I’m pregnant and irritated at how little people understand how a woman’s body works.

  42. Lantana says:

I’m with layla! WTF is a “push present”? And personally I think the only reason they got married when they did was to have a child. Why else would William want to marry? They traipsed all over the world together and shared a “cottage”…he’s king-to-be, and therefore will be King, regardless. So it’s either they want a kid or waity said no-more-waity and he didn’t want to start over.

  43. Cerulean says:

She doesn’t seem maternal at all. Its a good thing Wills can have a mistress to talk to because this one is a dolt. I dislike her more and more each day. She refused the peanut paste because it has calories and (Oh no!) fat!!!!

    Does the woman even ovulate?

  44. Lol says:

@Carolyn. Be honest she married into the Windsor family. Every single member of the royal family gets ripped to shreds on editoral sites. Although usually for doing something MEGA stupid like Charles or Andrew or Harry. Kate hasnot scratched the surface. The whole reason Kate became an even bigger interest globally is because of how huge WASHOUTS the born royal ones are. Everyone either hates Charles or is indifferent. So is he outlives the queen there may not be a monarchy.

  45. NancyMan says:

    @Carolyn

In today’s world with it’s tabloid mentality, everything and everyone is encouraged to be superficial and cheap. This effect even includes an institution thats over 400 years old to which most of us can’t really even relate. I blame the Kardashians and others of their ilk. DOWN WITH THE KARDASHIANS!!!!! END THE MADNESS!

But, I would bet that the Duchess of Cambridge will still accomplish more and do more good for others than any of us will even consider doing. I wish her well and I hope she makes the most of her opportunities.

That said, I do resent having to hear about the Cambridges every frigging day.

  46. Lol says:

@ original Mia. * clapping* You are so correct. There is no way anyone from the queen down to William himself would marry without a fertility check. I think some posters forget this is major business firm and not a Disney princess movie despite the tiaras. Lol

  47. Kloops says:

She is pretty useless. The way she frittered away her 20’s waiting for her prince is pathetic. However, she has the opportunity to do some good as royal. Only time will tell. Giggling at a Remembrance ceremony is a big faux pas. She should have known better; she’s not a child, she’s a well educated adult.

Still loathe the eyeliner. So tacky.

  48. Kellie says:

@ Carolyn, first of all respect is earned. Kate is not going to get public respect simply because she married a royal. She needs to work for it-and she hasnt had a hard days work in her life so I’m not holding my breath. Second, LOOK at the pictures, she’s not smiling, she’s laughing and grinning like a moron-big difference. Third, she didnt beat out any females to get William. She was the only one who wanted him. We can all win a race if we have no competition. Third, if she doesnt care about public opinion she should start and its pretty obvious someone in the firm cars because they issued a statement about a hair weave! So yes Carolyn, someone is watching.

  49. Lol says:

@ Carolyn. I am sooooo sorry. My post should of said @ diana or @kellie.

@ Kellie. Folks have been bitching about Kate not working for half a decade and she clearly is not bothered. The hair thing is different and if your are a woman you know exactly why. I’d be shocked if we didnot get a pregnancy announcement soon this is firm business. Despite what you guys want to see Kate has proved that she is in it for the long haul even back when her and Charles etc convinced William not to leave college. She is exactly what the firm wants. I do wonder what kind of mom she will be. Diana was insane and Charles is an ass but made great parents. Princess Anne is a cold bitch but she lights up when her kids are around.

  50. Kate says:

I was as skinny as Kate or even skinnier when I got married and I got pregnant the first month we tried. You have to be A LOT skinnier than her before it affects your fertility.

The photo of her taken with her hand on her tum was taken before the wedding – that’s the best they can do?

    I don’t believe she’s pregnant yet.

  51. Sassy says:

A “Push” present is a gift for pushing out a baby. Jewelry or another type of bauble usually. I am not sure of the origin.

  52. Mrs.Krabapple says:

Laughing at inappropriate times is why the royal family won’t let her do more.

On the one hand, I think Kate IS lazy. But there’s more to it than that. If the royal family wanted her to do more, that doormat would do more. I think the royal family can see what a simpleton she is, and they don’t want her embarrassing the family. She probably does need more princess “training” before they will allow her to open her mouth in public.

It must be hard to live with people who look down on you. And maybe that’s why she starves herself — (1) it’s a cry for attention (which she won’t get, William will ignore it like Charles ignored Diana); and (2) it’s the only thing in her life that she herself controls.

But the royal family is also very calcluating. A pregnancy would halt the public backlash against Kate, so I’m sure they’re pushing her to get pregnant sooner than she wanted to.

  53. GoodCapon says:

Entirely inappropriate gestures. The Queen was very somber for this occassion. Camilla, Sophie and especially you WAITY, please take note.

And it’s People, they’re just stirring things up. I wouldn’t believe this one bit.

  54. Anastasia says:

    Good Lord, her eyebrows!

  55. Fue McCormick says:

There is no way in hell that William will give Kate a $1 million push present. The royal family is notoriously cheap … and in this economy Wm. would be spitting on his future subjects pulling a stunt like that.

  56. JulieM says:

Carolyn @ 37: Sorry to pile on but I must. Commonwealth countries are not the only countries who celebrate Remembrance Day. Here in the US, we call it Veteran’s Day. Lots of soldiers died during the First World War, not just Commonwealth soldiers. The rest of us know what it means.

That said, Katie Kambridge’s big smiles were very inappropriate during such a solemn occasion. Tacky. You would never see the Queen with a big grin on her face.

Oh and Kellie @48 is exactly right. Katie Kambridge won all right. No one else wanted William.

  57. diana says:

@Lol: I am a woman and frankly I would be more bothered if someone would think I am lazy that I would if someone would think my hair is fake. And that’s the thing about Kate: she is more interested in appearance than anything else. But apparently so are Kate’s fans, which would explain why the entire working population of England is against her. Do you really think they care about her hair or about her make-up or any of that? Or do you think that grinning at such an event and killing birds to fit in the royal family better bothers them? I actually think she looks and behaves as a clown. If she wants to be respected she needs to respect herself first.

I dont see her aging very well-just maybe something about British genes….

  59. Kar says:

I am waiting for the day somebody comes along and says Kate was descended from the Boleyns. Because it would make SO much sense.

  60. Andie B says:

I didn’t have my first (and only) child until I had been married 12 years. I was a career woman. It was a (planned) shock at 36, and even though we were financially and mentally prepared for it, physically it was quite rough due to a 42 week pregnancy and an emergency c-section. Therefore I would encourage Kate to do it ASAP, for her own good and that of her child(ren). In saying that she will have nannies, Butlers, and helpers to help with her kids. I have only just realised why people crap on so much about her eyeliner. If it was a less hard line, more smudged, she would look younger and softer. For the record I like her, eyeliner and all.

  61. SamiHami says:

I love the picture of her laughing-she looks so happy and relaxed, like she is finally starting to settle in to royal life. It’s very easy to pick and choose pictures to make someone look bad or inappropriate; I am quite certain that her demeanor was perfectly appropriate during the Remembrance Day ceremony. Having a laugh with her step-mother in law is not a crime.

It’s a pity that so many people think they “know” her-she’s too thin to get pregnant, she’s lazy, she’s useless, she’s not maternal blah blah blah-like they would actually know these things. Those comments say much more about the people saying them than they do about her.

All I see when I look at her is a lovely young woman who married the man she obviously loves. She seems to have a good relationship with the royal family and they seem to be going to great pains to welcome her and make her transition go smoothly. Good for her.

  62. kibbles says:

A woman can have a baby whenever she wants. I don’t have a problem with her having a baby at 30 or 40. The real problem and the reason why there is so much scrutiny is that Kate isn’t like 99.9% of women. She is part of the Royal family and she is seen by many people as submissive and lazy which means when she gets pregnant won’t be entirely her and William’s decision. They will be pressured by the Royal family and if she waits too long to get pregnant, there will undoubtedly be questions about her health, whether she is too skinny, or if she is infertile. If she had been more independent from William and had established a career or was involved in public service for much of her 9 years before getting married, then I think the public and the press would just label her as a modern woman who would be the first royal to hold off pregnancy for a few years because of other commitments. However, since she doesn’t have a job and isn’t much involved yet with charity work, the only things interesting about her are her weight loss and when she will get pregnant. It’s as if nothing changed from when Diana got married 30 years ago because Kate acts more like women from previous generations than a typical 20-something in the 21st century.

  63. tripmom says:

Velaine – Speak for yourself, but not the rest of us, please. I knew I was pregnant when I was about two and a half weeks along, because I was using over the counter fertility monitors and watching my cycle very carefully. The very day my period was due and didn’t come I went to the OBGYN. You are at your most fertile approximately halfway through your 30 day cycle, and therefore likeliest to conceive about two weeks before your period is due. So it is very easy to be aware of your pregnancy about two weeks in, assuming you notice your missed period right away.

I’ve been pregnant and am irritated at how little people understand how a woman’s body works.

  64. bettyrose says:

There’s nothing anti-feminist about encouraging someone to do the job they were “hired” for. Get that bun cooking.

  65. Cirque28 says:

I hate the term “push present.” Just a pet peeve, but to my ear, it sounds entitled and princessy and like more weird fetishizing of pregnancy and childbirth.

Also, I wonder if Kate’s heard of those eyeliners with a smudging tool attached? (Really, Waity, these are absurdly easy. You can sit in the back of the royal Bentley and line and smudge in 30 seconds.)

  66. Rachael says:

She was pregnant with twins and had a miscarriage. I know people.

  67. Miladie29 says:

@SamiHami – Please. Her demeanor was appropriate? She looked like someone told a really good joke and she couldn’t stop laughing. There are many, many more photos of her looking like she couldn’t keep her mouth shut and kept on chatting up Sophie and Camilla. The latter 2 would also laugh, but they’d grew somber immediately and were following the service closely.

Kate? She was flicking and running her hand through her hair, fixing her hat, making faces, looking at different directions while the service was going on, and smiling while singing the hymns. She was the only one who looked like she cared more about her appearance than honoring those who fought and died for the country.

Besides, I’d forgive Kate if this were the first time she was doing this. But it’s NOT.

    1) She was smiling and giggling while signing the Condolence Book for the victims of the New Zealand earthquake. She was giggling so much she didn’t even know where to sign her name and William had to point it out to her…and Kate was still smiling while signing her condolences for the dead. Is it common in funerals? Sure, but Kate looked like she couldn’t reign in her smiles and giggles, quite immature for a 30-year old ADULT not to be able to behave appropriately for even 10 minutes.

    2) She wore an expensive McQueen outfit to see victims of the London riots. Those people lost their livelihoods and their loved ones, so for Kate to show all dressed up in a brand new, pricey outfit showcasing what her money can buy was a slap in the face of those who lost their businesses and must start all over again. Worse, she showed up with blow-dried hair, heavy makeup, and an “I have arrived, my good people. Praise me!” smile from ear to ear, as if she was going to some cocktail party instead of offering her sympathies to those who lost family members and friends. She also looked like she wasn’t even taking it seriously. Her idea of “listening” is to widen her eyes, stare, and tilt her head. She looked so cold and unemotional. Did it take her 3 hours to prepare herself for the cameras?

As for her being pregnant. Whatever. We’d probably be bombarded with daily updates of it once she is, and I plan to turn away from all gossip sites when that time happens.

The sycophants for Kate are just delusional. I don’t know how this girl has any “fans” who would gladly find any excuse to rationalize her inappropriate behavior and general laziness and uselessness.

But then again, with the way she’s acting at events (laughing inappropriately, refusing to eat/sample the food, always touching her hair, cannot string a coherent sentence, just staring dumbly while people speak) and her overall lack of warmth and common touch, maybe it’ll be best if she actually just stays home and raise her children out of the public eye. That’s wishful thinking, though…

Even Beatrice and Eugenie who are hideous dressers, and have an immature Fergie for a mother, can relate to others better than Kate and are able to give insights to whatever cause they’re supporting. Both girls also display warmth towards other people. Eugenie was very good when she visited the Orthopedics ward in the hospital where she also stayed for her scoliosis operation. She was empathetic. Something that Kate is not.

Even if she didn’t work for her parents’ company (she said she did and no one has shown any proof that she didn’t), Kate went to college until 2006 so “she did nothing for nine years” is a lie.

  69. Kelly says:

This girl is useless. I wish she would stop being reported on. I find her offensive and would be extremely angry if I lived in Great Britain and she was going to be my Queen some day. How horrid for the British! I would seriously work towards the cause of abolishing the monarchy if I were British, just saying…

  70. Anne says:

@HoustonGrl: Royals that close to the throne can’t adopt. Adopted children cannot inherit, the laws are very clear about children being an “heir of the body”.

  71. The Original Mia says:

@Mare…it’s 2011. She did nothing in the time before her engagement and she’s done nothing since her marriage.

  72. Joely says:

    Comment 66 Rachael
How do you know??? Please, tell us more???

  73. S says:

I still like her. She seems like a genuine person and I don’t get the Kate hate. You don’t like how she wears her eyeliner??? BURN HER AT THE STAKE. She doesn’t want to eat peanut paste? EVIL BITCH. She dares to wear couture some of the time, despite being incredibly well known for wearing inexpensive chain store clothes? SNOB! Petty complaints, ladies.

  74. GoodCapon says:

    @Mare –

Kate graduated from 2005. She worked as a ‘photographer’ for her parents’ company, but according to the Party Pieces website there is another person there who is the official PP photographer – so what was Waity’s job there then? She also had a job at Jigsaw which was tailored specifically for her. She only had to work 3 days a week (trimmed from 4 days) and had to be given all kinds of privileges so she could be at Will’s beck and call. She couldn’t even last a year in that job.

Six years, nine years… regardless of how many years it was, the bottom line is she molded her life around Wills and was perfectly fine following him around like a puppy. She didn’t even made an effort to pursue her own interests but just clung on to Will because he is the only one she had.

  75. Gabbo says:

    Urgh, that make-up! It’s just…
She’s starting to look like a pantomime dame.

  76. eternalcanadian says:

Catherine will be 30 soon. She better get sperminated promptly, especially if they want more than one child.

There’s just no way around it, feminism or not, Catherine is doing absolutely nothing sitting at home all day (really, how many times can one vacuum or dust per day?) just like she’s done pretty much nothing for the past 10 years while she waited and waited for William to propose. Victoria of Sweden got pregnant right away and she’s way busier than either Catherine and William are! We all know how skinny Victoria got when she had anorexia and that’s what Catherine reminds me of compared to a now-healthy Victoria.

A woman’s fertility goes down once she hits 30 and this is a pregnancy the British monarchy can’t faff around with.

On a different note, Catherine’s makeup will never stop being talked about because it is the most awful makeup I have seen! Plus it doesn’t look like Catherine knows what oil-blotting papers are. Makes me wonder what I read on a website that discusses Catherine’s fashion that she wears Bobbi Brown makeup (which BB confirmed on their Facebook page some of their representatives “consulted” Catherine on her wedding day). I can’t believe that’s BB makeup as BB is so natural and soft, not spackled on like plaster.

  77. Sara says:

I was thinking the same thing. She’s almost 30, she needs to get started if they want to have more than one child.

When I turned 29 I was like, ok, time to get pregnant before I run out of time.

@tripmom Not every woman conceives like clockwork. I didn’t think I was pregnant because I took a pregnancy test several days after missing a period and it came up negative. I was pregnant but my cycle didn’t follow that 29 day modal. When I should have been 6 weeks pregnant I was only 4. Nature works how it works. Lots of people have irregular cycles.

I don’t think it’s that easy to get pregnant when you’re 40 though. That sounds like a bad idea unless someone has a lot of money for fertility treatments.

Did any of you read the interview Kate’s ex-boss from Jigsaw gave? I will find it and post it here because offers a good support to those who believe she is just lazy. In that interview he actually told the world kate wanted a job but because she was dating a high profile man she had to had her job tailored to those needs. It is funny if you are not a British. For England is quite sad!! And that’s our future Queen!!

Yeah, I actually believe that Kate’s fans are mostly people outside of England, that gather their info from bits and pieces of news serve to them via any newspaper and that actually look at the screen and say: what a lovely lady! They actually don’t bother to search the subject a little before they naively ask: what’s with the kate hate?

The pictures Kaiser put up make me laugh so hard: Kate has put make up on so she can look good for cameras from hundreds of feet away. She does look like a clown compared with Camilla! The woman looks quite decent and appropriate! despite the hat!!

  79. garvels says:

The Olympics are in the summer of 2012 and I believe the Queen’s Jubilee as well. If she is not pregnant by now,I really do not see her getting pregnant til late Summer. I would think she would like to look her very best on the world stage…since there will be many pictures taken.

  80. Mare says:

Sorry, I don’t see how someone elses name on the Party Pieces website is a proof that she didn’t work for the company. Like I said, when I see a real proof that she didn’t do anything then I will call her a liar.

  81. GoodCapon says:

Mare, give the British press a sniff and they will hype up every single job opportunity linked to Waity. The fact that Party Pieces and the Jigsaw job were the only ones published in the media OVER AND OVER again speaks for itself. Private classes with Mario Testino? Testino himself denied it.

Kate can’t even give a proper answer regarding her work-shy background in the engagement interview. And don’t give me that crap about “She was nervous, it was her first time to speak in public.” She didn’t really have a good excuse that’s why she fumbled for answers.

  82. LAK says:

@Mare – no one can prove or disprove that she worked for her parents. There are no online pictures with her byline vis a vis that website. What can be proved is that she worked for 3 days a week at Jigsaw, and her boss has said that the job was beholden to William’s schedule, and she gave it up after a few months, because she did not want to work and needed time to herself. [heavily implied] And for William’s schedule.

So that also disproves the theory that she gave it up because the press were hounding her.

The boss gives a quite sympathetic interview which has the unintended view of confirming what is being said about her. Kate is waity, doesn’t want to work, tailored/tailors her life to William.

In this day and age, that is sad, enraging and pathetic all at once.

  83. osarieme says:

So many of you are so pathetic. What is with the hate on this woman? Waity katy? A woman stays with her bf and you call her waity? Women and their hate for each other, sad!
