For various reasons, I haven’t been covering Prince Harry’s Magical and Special Las Vegas Vacation. Harry arrived in Las Vegas this past weekend, first showing up at the same event that Jennifer Lopez was hostessing, then continuing to party and gamble and drink with some dude friends for days. On Monday night, Harry allegedly had a pretty wild and liquor-soaked evening with Ryan Lochte, one which involved scantily-clad women and Harry challenging Ryan Lochte to a race in the pool. There’s video of that, as well as random Twitter photos of Harry’s appearances all over town. Apparently, though, days before the bromance even happened, Harry had spent LAST FRIDAY with a bunch of girls playing “strip billiards” or something.
Here’s the funny part – Harry, his boys and his handlers didn’t think to take away the girls’ phones. So, of course, the girls snapped photos of Harry. Naked. GO HERE TO SEE THE ROYAL JEWELS. Did I just oversell that? TMZ did “censor” the photos a bit, but it’s pretty clear that you can see some ginger butt crack. TMZ says:
Prince Harry put the crown jewels on display in Vegas this weekend … getting BARE ASS NAKED during a game of strip billiards with a room full of friends in his VIP suite. It all went down Friday night during a raging party in a high rollers hotel suite.

In another shocking move, Clarence House (code for the Prince of Wales’ office) CONFIRMED that the photos are of Prince Harry. The spokesman says, “At this time we don’t have a comment. We may do later.” Incidentally, before these photos came out, I kept hearing that this is Harry’s last big party before he goes on his second tour of duty. Maybe Harry’s dad just figures – hey, it’s not that big of an embarrassment. Harry’s single, he’s “the party prince,” why not? And to just defend Harry for a moment – it’s not like he took advantage of anyone or anything. He just got drunk with some strange girls and they got naked and photos were taken. It’s amusing and typical of Harry, but I don’t really think it’s some huge scandal or anything.

On a recent trip to Vegas with my hubcap, before deplaning, the crew gave everybody a lecture on not taking photos including other people in the background because of privacy and, well, TMZ. Made good sense. Of course, nobody listened. People would forget while drunk anyway if they had.
Exactly. It’s something most of us have done but it’s something most of us did in college or if we did not go to college, when we were that age. He’s 5 years too old and he’s had plenty of opportunity so it’s not like he is catching up for anything.
I would be more wary of doing some of the things I did in college were I that age now instead of in the 90s. There were no cellphone cameras in the 90s. I was young when I was in college but I was not stupid.

While I think this is a rather amusing story and I think Harry is adorable I can’t help but think how different these reports would be if it was a woman.
If this were Beatrice or Eugenie or any other girl we won’t hear the end of it. They’d be called every name in the book and we’d probably get some snide comments about their appearance and character.
Frankly, I think nothing is wrong with the naked photos, be it a man or woman. It’s their business what went on in that hotel suite.
The photos should have stayed private, though, and shouldn’t have been leaked. Harry’s security was lacking, and the people who took these photos were probably looking for a payout from the tabloids/magazines willing to buy the pics. Harry wasn’t very smart with the company he kept that night.

I used to like Harry because he seemed fun-loving and different to the rest of the royals. Not so much now. He just looks like another obnoxious toff to be honest.
Where was his security? Did he dismiss them so they don’t interfere with his “mojo”?
On one hand, it’s sad because he was doing so well with his image as a hardworking, serious royal and the PR goodwill was quite high during the Olympics.
On the other hand…eh. This is just Harry being himself. It can both be positive and negative. Positive because we’re used to this image of Harry as a party hound, happy-go-lucky guy. This isn’t as shocking anymore, nor is it grossly offensive.
Negative because he’s already in his late 20s, he’s been the target of the media since he was a teenager and many of the reports have been unkind and unfair towards him, and he knows how his privacy can be compromised so easily. He should know better by now.
I don’t know what will be the extent of this “scandal” considering all the other shenanigans Harry has gotten himself into over the years and he has managed to overcome them by showing a dedicated side of himself when it comes to his job in the military as well as his charity works. Being a party hound is not all there is to him, so these are not that damaging, IMO.
Naked photos, taken in his hotel room, probably would not offend many people as much as his Nazi costume did.
He will be just fine.
He has put enough goodwill in the bank. It’s his protection officers who will be in trouble because they failed to foresee this outcome.
This will not have been the first time they have seen this kind of thing unless he took a new detail with him to Vegas.
People were tweeting and using camera phones on him his entire Vegas visit so very stupid that they didn’t frisk whoever took these pictures.
At the very least he is not putting out a statement giving excuses or saying he has been violated and betrayed unlike the other picture leak we had recently.

I’m glad he does’nt feel betrayed, he picked up vegas randoms from a bar….IN VEGAS. If he felt betrayed I would slap him upside the head with a shoe. I hate it when cute guys are so damn stupid.
He is spending a lot of time in the US lately, I think more than any of the other royals have in the last few years. I guess he thinks he can cut loose in the US. Maybe he likes the attention he gets here. He is the loose canon of the family. I have a feeling Prince Ginger Head is going to get in trouble with Grandma and she is going to bring in the reigns real tight.
What a shame, he did’nt get into all this trouble the last time he went to Vegas….what happend?? Guess it’s off to the pokey with him, the queen won’t let him come back to the US again…sigh.
He’s not the only one. He’s just the least discreet. Again on the topic of “I have no idea where I get this stuff” there is a rumor that Prince Andrew once showed up on Hourtney Love’s doorstep. I am not one to believe that drug addled murderess (or accessory there of) but I was amused by the story. They do like to show up here and misbehave. They are just normally more discreet.

Sorry, but he’s too old for this to be cute; it just reads as douchey & an unwillingness to grow up, he’s nearly 30, not some college frat boy. As for his taxpayer funded security, their job is to protect him from bodily harm, not from his own stupidity; as far as I can tell, he’s doing just fine physically. If he wants to get wasted and pick up random bimbos in a club fine, but he shouldn’t act surprised & wounded when this kind of thing happens.

People used to prefer Prince Andrew to Charles because he was cute and fun and seemed normal. At some point, usually by the time they’re 30, the behavior ceases to be fun and cute and people start to value the more dependable and intelligent older brother. Seems like history is repeating itself.

Im guessing a minor talking to but it’s his body guards who are in deep caca. They should have confiscated all cell phones. That’s a big breech. Beyond that, he’s the Party Prince, the Palace will probably just ignore it and hope it goes away. Only if the press continues to make an issue will it become one.
Oh and I don’t think his security team should take the fall for this. They’re their to ensure he’s safe at all times, not to babysit a 28 yr old man. It’s not their job to make sure he behaves like an adult (or so I presume.)

And also, I’m a Harry fan, but I agree with the comment earlier that if this story was about “Princess Henrietta,” her head would be rolling down the Mall about now. But since it is the “Prince” that partied, it will certainly play out with the always reliable “boys will be boys” excuse. It’s 2012 and this Victorian mindset continues to remain as strong as ever. I remember a few years back when photographers caught Prince Williams peeing in public. I think some dubbed the event “Wee Willie”.
I also remember when Prince Charles got caught on tape saying something like he wanted to be Camillia’s tampoon. I’ll look that one up, but I remember some sort of flap over that.

Let him be, he’s off to do another tour shortly and is just blowing off steam. I’m pretty sure I would be doing the same if I was going to be shipped off somewhere where my life was on the line every day. I probably would have been a bit more discreet though. No one wants their naked pics splashed across the web, no matter who they are although it seems that no UK based publication is prepared to print the pictures. Probably afraid of the world class bollocking they would get.

We have pictures of Charles in the nude that were taken through a hotel room window and we have pictures of Williams penis and ass (taken at Peter Philips bachelor party for those wondering). This isnt a scandal, these pictures were taken at a private time and whoever took them is a real asshole. Its not like her hurt anyone.
