These are some photos from last night’s On the Road premiere in at the AFI Fest. I guess it was a “screening” more than a premiere, but whatever. On the Road doesn’t come out for wide release until December, and I guess the studio kind of wants to build the buzz for a possible Oscar nomination for Garrett Hedlund. But who can pay attention to Hedlund when Kristen Stewart is around? Ugh. I have to say… Kristen looked like ten kinds of hell at this screening. Almost always, I have to give Kristen credit for always rocking some great makeup – usually, her makeup artist knows what they’re doing, and Kristen can pull off some very strong makeup “looks”. But this was way, way too much. She looks ghoulish and corpsey. The lipstick is too dark, the eyes are much too heavy. As for the hair… eh. Kristen’s hair stylist is hit or miss, and I think this is a miss. Maybe her Glam Squad is pissed at her?
Kristen’s outfit is Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière. The pants are… not great. I don’t get why pleated pants are making such a comeback – they weren’t flattering the first time around, and this time around it’s not “retro,” it’s just fug. And that top looks like “Wonderbra by Balenciaga”.
I’m also including some photos of Hedlund, who was remarkably clean-shaven and that’s kind of killing any biscuit-tingle on my part. Also there: Amy Adams in a too-prom-y Dolce & Gabbana. CB likes Amy’s hair, though.

The raccoon eyes, excessive makeup, horrible pleated pants and mullet wonderbra top all add up to Kstew redcarpet fail. Someone on her styling team hates her because really who thought this was a good idea. LOL.
Amy Adams has been bringing it lately but this is a miss. Hate the hair up and the prom dress. She has beautiful wavy hair that looks best down.

I actually really like KStew’s outfit – but that makeup is all kinds of wrong. Maybe it’s the red in the shadow? Or is it the lip? Or a combination of both being just too much? I can’t quite put my finger on it. Ironically, the pic attached as the post image reminds me of the Evil Queen in the cartoon Snow White, when she’s an old lady.

I don´t know. I don´t hate it. But it´s more of a catwalk look than one for a red carpet event. It´s very strong and too edgy with it´s focus on eyes, brows and lips. It looks great when Kristens’ brows are relaxed but still too much to be a “beauty look”.

I actually loved the pants until I noticed the weird cut in the crotch area. Not good. But I love the classic version of the cut; unfortunately, I’ve only seen it look fantastic on leggy girls, long, lean-model types. And that,I’m not.;)

You never do smokey eyes with a bold lip because it is too much on anyone. I’ve learned that working in cosmetics. If you do a bold eye, you should always do a nude or neutral lip color. It also wouldn’t hurt if they put a little blush or highlighter on the girl, so she wouldn’t look so corpse-y.

I like the outfit. The makeup looks horrible close up but not too bad further away. I usually never have anything nice to say about her but she looks relaxed and happy in these photos, which is a nice change from her usual awkward and uncomfortable look.
I like that she went for a modern, more sophisticated ensemble. What I don’t like is the fact she is wearing what looks like a giant sports bra. ANY other color than white would have worked with this top. And I agree with many others, that she should do smoky eye and tone down the lips. I don’t hate the hair. It’s edgy.

Photo #3 scared me so early in the morning but after putting my glasses on & having some coffe I revisited it. Now my opinion is somebody has been playing in mommy’s make-up drawer again.

Totally agree, this is what I looked like after raiding my mother’s makeup and playing “date night” at her vanity mirror. Her reaction was much the same: raised eyebrows and a stammered “uh, um … Wow … don’t you look …” Yup. Evidently, KS is as clueless as I was.
I can’t figure out what that pink/red indentation type line around her tummy is. At first I thought maybe from her pants when she was sitting…but it doesnt seem to be in the right place for that….At least for me, that makes the whole belly baring statement (which i hate to begin with) even worse.
I’m pretty sure that is just a mark from where she had been sitting down. Those pants are so high waisted, that the indentation would be that high on her torso.
Actually, when you sit down hunched over (the way she always does) your body sort of curves in, and your skin/fat roll, leaving a mark when you get up. It happens to my chubby nephew all the time.

Rob was at the after party with her. There were lots of people who were also there tweeting last night about seeing Rob there with Kristen. He didn’t do the red carpet. He snuck into the after party without getting papped. I also saw a fan pic of him at the party posing with some older looking woman.
Yeah he was there at the after party. It would have been glaringly obvious if he had not attended it, you know? So close to BD2 release and all.
Despite all these outings I still think they will go their separate ways sometime in 2013.

Seeing comments from this and other boards shows the cheating scandal has not completely gone away for her, or Rob, despite the controlled environments these two appear. I think one of the reasons Amy struggles with fashion sometimes is because she looks so damn young. I don’t think the stylists know what to do with her. She has to find that happy medium between celebrating how young she looks and still finding the right look.

I love the outfit, actually…kind of looks like a mash up of an 80s music video with a more modern twist. She looks comfortable, unlike most of the time when she wears more elaborate dresses. She should stick to pant suits more often. Dislike the hair…with that type of a top, I think her hair should have been left down. The makeup is okay…Looks good in certain photos (and other photos on a different website) but overdone in the close up photos. I wonder if it was Patrick Dempsey’s wife? She is a makeup artist that often works with Amanda Seyfried, Jennifer Lawrence, and Blake Lively. She’s probably worked with KStew before…anyway, she tends to go overboard with the eyeshadow/eyeliner. Overall, I like the look. I appreciate when stars take risks, even when it doesn’t translate that well.

I think that she looks great. She is obviously devoted to Balenciaga and is following thru with the full runway looks of makeup and styling. This is what fashion is. She is young enough and has a beautiful figure. She can carry these looks off as the designer intended them to be. Amy Adams looks fun and beautiful. In Twilight she sold the public on the ideal that following your heart means not following the crowd and that being uniquely yourself has greater rewards. It doesn’t matter that the movie script gave her that story it was Kristen Stewart who sold it. Now because of Twilight Kristen Stewart is identified with not following the crowd and being vulnerably strong because of it.
I hope she can glean the moral of that story into her own life.
