After the crazy year she had she deserves a break.

  2. marie says:

*gasp* the horror!.. these are worse things people. kinda makes me like her a bit more unless it’s dank and then “why girl, why?”

man, I would love too see Rock and Chapelle do stand up together..

  3. cmc says:

Shoooot, I wanna vacation with her, and I don’t even smoke. Wine and weed on a Hawaiian balcony sounds infinitely better than winter in NYC (although today is kind of nice out, actually).

    • Samigirl says:

Lucky B*tch. I don’t smoke and I rarely drink, but if I were kid free, I’d probably do both.

    • Erinn says:

We have like… a bunch of snow headed our way (Nova Scotia) this weekend, along with freezing rain, if it makes you feel any better ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Lady D says:

I’m in the interior of B.C. and weather has been unusually nice. I noticed this morning that both my roses and blueberries are in bud. I’m choked, it’s the end of February and it’s usually -10 to -20. I’m pretty sure I’m going to lose both before winter is over. Sob.

      • Erinn says:

๐Ÿ™ That really sucks Lady D. I noticed at least one tree at my house was starting to have really tiny buds. Stupid weather really has to stop shifting.

      • lilred1 says:

What Part of N.S? I’m around Windsor.

      • Erinn says:

@LilRed Yarmouth. I’ve had to be in Windsor a few times for 4-H over the years, and have friends in Gore which I think is about 45 mins from Windsor.

      • lilred1 says:

@Erinn nice chatting with a fellow bluenoser ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Mish says:

I never expected to see other Nova Scotians here, let alone two!

      • Erinn says:

Bahaha, Just had to clean my desk because our ‘esteemed’ premier has decided to grace us with his presence at work this week.

      • Morgan says:

I’m from Nova Scotia too (but I live in Timmins, ON)!!

        WOW, small world!?!

    • Jessica says:

She is in Hawaii for work. They are shooting Catching Fire there.

    • Emma says:

Florida girl right here! It will be 68 out tomorrow *grabs winter jacket and puts some wood in the fireplace* : P

      • Izzy says:

Waving to fellow Florida girl! It’s nice to have the low-humidity hair days, isn’t it?

  4. elceibeno08 says:

Wow, I hope she does not become another cracken.

    • sarah says:

Smoking a joint does not mean crackhead in the making.

    • Migdalia says:

Tons of people smoke weed and don’t end up anything like Lindsey Lohan. Nothing to get worried about…

    • Amelia says:

I really doubt JLaw is going to be sliding down that slippery slope anytime soon!
I personally don’t smoke weed, but everything in moderation. Just because I’m going out for pizza tonight doesn’t mean I’m on the road to becoming morbidly obese.

      • RocketMerry says:

Lol, if pizza-eating was a sign of over-weight then me, my family and every single person I know would be severely obese by now; one pizza per person once a week over here in Italy: like doctor’s orders! ๐Ÿ˜€

As for the weed… I don’t know, I never understood the whole fascination; I also find (correct me if I’m wrong, please! I get my info from blogs and tv-shows) that the American/English culture tends to be more apologetic towards weed use than here in Italy/Europe?

      • minime says:

        Hi RocketMerry,

I don’t know about Italy specifically, but I’m European and apart from had lived in different countries I also have colleagues from many different nationalities and I get the idea that smoking pot is pretty much accepted by a certain age group. I always get surprised at the amount of people that already did it or still do it, because it’s always easier to find people that already did it than ones that didn’t. My experience is more that people are not exactly shouting out loud about it.

For JLaw I agree with Amelia and I’m jealous of her very much deserved holidays! ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Amelia says:

I think you’re right about certain age groups, Minime. I live in the UK and I know quite a few people around my age (21) who take weed and have no issue with it. I also know people who don’t take weed and have no issue with others doing it. Usually it’s George Osbourne ‘tory types who subscribe to the Daily Mail who are vehemently against it and think it’s the first sign that our society is beginning to dissolve into ashes.
Me, I’m just wary of taking anything that messes with my persepctive. But I’ve got chronic nerve pain so mixing recreational drugs (even if it is just weed) with my pain meds isn’t really the best idea. Hell, I barely even drink!

    • HotPockets says:

If La Lohan was just a stoner, she would still have an acting career. Some of the most successful people I know are huge stoners. I’m tired of assumptions/ generalizations people make about marijuana. Educate yourself, the only reason the green stuff has a bad name is because of the pharmaceutical companies and the idiots who give other people who recreation-ally smoke a bad name.

      • Sweet Dee says:

        +1

        Amen to that.

      • yariettt says:

        + a billion.

        Thank you.

      • Bird says:

        + infinity, HotPockets.

      • HotPockets says:

I have a medical card and I think it is great. I don’t like taking pain killers because they make me nauseous and are highly addictive. Whenever I hint to people that I enjoy smoking they seem surprised and always say, you don’t act like a stoner.. That’s because the media created the “burnt ass, lazy, unproductive pothead,” which is a huge exaggeration of the effects weed has on people. It’s different for everyone, but I don’t understand how drinking and acting like a drunk a$$hole is socially acceptable, not to mention, people always get a pass when they get too drunk, but smoking herb is still taboo?

I swear, I would give anything if marijuana was represented differently. If society should worry about any drug being a gateway drug or threat, it should be alcohol, which is the only drug you can die from while withdrawing. I am sick of places saying their going to drug test you, but they’ll still employ a problem drinker. #a$$backwardssociety. /end rant

    • Cloe says:

One joint does not a Cracken make.

  5. shewolf says:

    Who cares.

Yay for Holly and her placenta. I was going to have mine dehydrated into pill form but I didn’t have the money for it unfortunately. The cost was over $100. You don’t know want to know what I did instead… lol

    • Isa says:

I hope you planted it under a tree! Lol

    • Bodhi says:

I’m going to encapsulate this placenta!

      • Samigirl says:

Jealous! I didn’t have anyone close enough to do it for me, and definitely didn’t have the $$$ to buy the encapsilator to do it myself. Good luck!

      • Isa says:

Bodhi are you pregnant again? If so congratulations!

    • shewolf says:

Well part of it is still in my freezer, haha. I used parts of it in smoothies for a good while but then I got tired of smoothies. Placentas are massive! I have no idea what to do with the leftovers though so its just sat there for a few months.

Glad to hear more women are doing this!

    • Tiffany says:

      Not judging, just curious.

What does the placenta (in pill form, etc.) for do for you? It seems to be a thing now, so I am wondering if new info has been discovered about it.

      • shewolf says:

Its rich in nutrients and hormones.

After you have a baby you usually have a few issues. Anemia, exhaustion, hormonal mood swings, excessive post partum bleeding, depression, breast milk supply issues etc.

Ingesting the placenta restores iron levels, provides energy, balances hormones, banishes depression, increases breast milk supply etc.

I would much rather pop a placenta pill than pop some iron pills, sleeping pills, caffeine pills, zoloft or deal with milk supply issues.

  6. paranormalgirl says:

Don’t see the problem here. She was not smoking up in public. She was in her room being spied on by paparazzi with long range lenses.

    • Tiffany says:

I know…I am more concerned with her being spied on.

      • Mila says:

This pics are really private and i feel bit gross. Like i am some peeping tom. This guy who took photos should be arrested. Is there some kind of limit, now she cant even relax on her down time.

  7. Sweet Dee says:

I love it. I could have fun with this girl. I do like her more now, honestly. I wonder if she likes microbrews? We could definitely party here, if so.

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

She likes craft brews, I just know it.

This is NOT the type of chick to down a Coors Light.

      • Tiffany says:

LOL, I love craft beer! And wine, and…

I think part of Jen’s appeal is that she seems like she would be an awesome friend.

      • Sweet Dee says:

She seems like she’s a micro girl, right? Higher standards and all. I love my microbrews and I love other microbrew girls more.

I assume she is, and the reason she’s drinking red wine is probably because in Hawaii the local micros are not great, especially if you like hoppy beer more than darks or pilsners (which they have an OK selection of). I love a nice red, too, though.

      • Lama says:

Actually she mentioned on Conan a couple of weeks ago that her beer is Bud Lite, or Miller Lite(?). I’m a craft beer person myself, so I always get them mixed up.

      • Sweet Dee says:

Lama that makes me sad! If that’s true, I’m glad she’s drinking wine. Nobody should have miller/bud/coors, even if they don’t know any better. Blech.

      • The Original Tiffany says:

Kitten, when are we moving in with SweetDee? I thought that was in the works.;)

I’d take a microbrew now and some delicious weed. I drove 8 hours today.

  8. HotPockets says:

Yes, smoking a joint is a must on any vacation. Jennifer went up +100 points, I would replace the wine with a beer however.

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

YES! You and I need to party.

      • HotPockets says:

OriginalKit, please tell me you live in Colorado?

      • Sweet Dee says:

        She doesn’t, I’ve checked, but I do!

OKitt, come to Colorado and suck on our beers and our fine fine flowers!

      • HotPockets says:

Get out Sweatdea, here in Denver? I just went to the gym, now I am thinking of going to the brew house by my house.

      • Sweet Dee says:

        @HotPockets

Close! An hour north in Fort Collins. What a coincidence, when I get off here in an hour I’m going to my favorite tap house. I’m in both Denver and Lakewood pretty frequently visiting friends, though. I know the area pretty well. Which is the brew house that is close to you?

      • The Original Tiffany says:

SweetDee, so not only do you live in the land of legal weed, but also near tons of horse country.
I really hope you are building an addition for me and Kitten.

        I need to move immediately.

      • curegirl0421 says:

Ha just echoing the “come to Colorado” statement – I often say to my friends here that there is NO reason to drink crappy beer or smoke crappy weed. If you do either, you’re either a tourist or just haven’t learned yet. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • HotPockets says:

Bull and Bush, about 10-15 minutes away from downtown ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Sweet Dee says:

I’ve never been to that one, I’ll have to go!

I just found out they are opening a Breckenridge-Wynkoop here in Fort Collins. I’m psyched!

      • curegirl0421 says:

Yes to Bull & Bush – love it! And for the non-drinkers, they now have Boylan’s soda on tap instead of crappy Pepsi products. A cream soda and some fish and chips…YES PLEASE. ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. s says:

omg, she looks like a normal person in these photos. fascinating (seeing as she looked like a goddess at the oscars…)

    • T.Fanty says:

I know! It gives me hope. Now all I need is a trainer, a make-up artist to follow me around and an extensive selection of tailored designer dresses…

    • HotPockets says:

Jlaw is one of the few people who I think looks so so so much better as a blonde.

      • LadyJane says:

I totally agree. But she is naturally blonde. That might have something to do with it.

      • Alexandra Bananarama says:

Emma Stone however is a natural blonde and looks way better as a red head. She’s an exception.

I like JLaw way more now. Nothing seems forced with her. Very natural actions.

  10. lolaluvsu says:

I thought she was in Hawaii for the Hunger Games reshoots?

  11. Powerpoint says:

Sounds like fun. Take me on vacation with you, JLaw.

  12. aud says:

go for it, girl. just save me some wine ๐Ÿ™‚

    that kitten is adorable

andddd KK has so much $$ that she could wear the best maternity clothes. but no. fail

  13. Saema says:

What we should be asking is “who’s that other mystery woman?” in the pics?

  14. Isa says:

Looks like she’s having a good time!
Shemar Moore, you know who has 3 abs? Beyonce! Two on top one gigantic one on bottom.

  15. Kat says:

Wow I’m jealous…and I need a vacation BADLY. I guess it must feel wonderful to chill out in such a way after you’ve got an Academy Award! What a feeling

  16. Cazzie says:

    I didn’t think I could like JL any more…but now, I do.

Good for her! Hope she enjoys her vacation – she’s earned it.

  17. Twez says:

I’d blaze up if I had it right now. I have a headache that will not quit. Go on with your bad self, JLaw.

  18. the original bellaluna says:

Good for her! Hopefully it’ll help her gain back some of the weight she lost due to pneumonia.

Oh, Kendra…Kendra, Kendra, Kendra…marriage is over, eh?

That is most definitely one of the cutest kittens EVAH!

    Oh, Lardassian.

(Bedhead, maybe next time we could end with the cutest kittehs, as sort of a Lardassian palate cleanser?) ๐Ÿ˜‰

  19. Jane says:

I like this young woman and wish her well and she has worked really hard and deserves a great vacation. But man, does she get away with stuff that others would be ripped for–not that pot smoking is news for someone her age and sometimes older folks too. Just object to double standards on general principle.

    • Nev says:

Word. Totally agree with you on that.

In my opinion she’s acting a little Rihanna-esqe. Haha. All she has to do now is be sexual and she’d be trash. Isn’t that how it works? Haha

      • Tiffany says:

Come on, Rhianna advertises her love of green with TONS of self taken pictures of her smoking and rolling, single covers showing her rolling joints, birthday cakes dedicated to it, etc.

Jen isn’t gloating about it, she is enjoying it in her hotel room. She is soooooo far from being Rhianna.

      • Jessica says:

@nev Exactly how is she acting rhiannaesque? She is inside her hotel room smoking. She is not, like rihanna, posting pictures of weed on her instagram. Its a private space, she is not advertising it to the kids. If anything people should concerned that she is being pried on inside a private space. That really shouldnt be legal.

    • Mia 4S says:

You’re not necessarily wrong. But when it comes to something like smoking up I don’t think anyone is that hard on celebs where it seems like an occasional thing. However, when you start to look and act like the stereotypical stoner (no names) or get back together with a guy who beat you half to death (again, no names) I can see a fair distinction in situations.

    • polkasox says:

I think everyone is giving her a pass w/ the smoking because she works really hard & isn’t trying to be some hollywood princess – she seems very real and very appreciative for what she’s got. If she were some diva, yes, we would be irritated with her. But she deserves the break!

    • Diana says:

Double standards suck; I can’t stand hypocritical people. Just UGH!

      • Michele says:

Double standards at its finest! If you love a certain celeb who’s caught smoking weed, then they’re more cool than ever. But if you hate certain celebs who do the same, then they’re disgusting drug addicts who deserve to be shamed publicly.

Thought as much with some on this site.

For the record, I don’t have a problem w. anyone who smokes weed. I just have a problem with double standards.

      • rushpit says:

Probably because she’s not a trampire.

      • oivey says:

Probably because Jen isn’t a pretentious, holier than thou, talentless a-hole who sleeps with married men. Just a thought…

    • Annette says:

About the double standard – put it this way – if I were Anne Hathaway I’d be making me a J-Law voodoo doll right about now. It seems Anne can do no right and Jen can do no wrong. But that seems to be just the way things go when it comes to celebs, one is the “sweetheart” for a while, but eventually people it seems just get sick of them and find something, anything to hate them over, even if it’s just being “too nice, too good” or “too popular”. It will happen to Jennifer too, mark my words.

      • Ferdis says:

        + 1! And i cant stand Anne…

      • Sweet Dee says:

I don’t like Anne, but I would defend her for smoking pot. And I would like her more, too.

Man, think about that. She could use a puff. She’s all over the place.

      • Tiffany says:

How much more tolerable would Anne Hathaway be if she rolled a big fatty?

On the other hand… How much more tolerable would Anne Hathaway be if I rolled a big fatty?

        ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Annette says:

If Anne rolled herself a fatty in public I don’t think people on here would object to the pot itself but I think they’d be going “omg how staged are these photos!, obviously she’s trying hard to change her image to more layed back…NOT WORKING Anne, we all know you’re a try hard dork”.

In reality though, Jennifer’s image is likely just as carefully planned out and crafted, she just comes over as more self-consistent than Anne so therefore less “fake”.

      • Runs with Scissors says:

wow Annette, I totally agree, and I like BOTH actresses.

      • Bailey says:

@Annette Yup, that’s the cycle, isn’t it? Build up a celebrity then when the masses are fed up from overexposure of said celeb, somehow they’ll find ways to bring her down even. So sad but happens too often. As far as the double standards, if this was Anne smoking in the privacy of her hotel room in Hawaii, the backlash would be much more severe. She wouldn’t catch a break like Jennifer for sure. I like both girls, but yep, double standards.

      • Diana says:

Great example Annette. Very well put. I was not defending anyone in particular and certainly not Kslut but double standards are double standards no matter how you rationalize it.

  20. Blue says:

I don’t generally like cats but OMG that kitten is so frickin’ adorable!

  21. DeltaJuliet says:

In regards to KK, I really loved this gem :” The reality starlet shows no signs of slowing down. She hit up a day spa at the Peninsula Hotel for some relaxation before indulging in some serious shopping at Barneys”

WOW…shopping AND the spa! She really ISN’T slowing down! *smh*

    • Sweet Dee says:

      SERIOUS shopping and the spa!

That’s just your everyday, take-no-prisoners, hard-working Kim for ya. LOL

  22. Lisa says:

I hope someone could make the Dave Chapelle/Chris Rock tour happen.

  23. pfeiffer87 says:

Take note Rihanna – this is how you vacation, smoke weed and stay classy. No topless instagram photos/chris brown in sight.

    • Nola says:

Oh so Riri needs to be white and virginal to be considered classy when smoking a joint.

      • kahlua77 says:

Yes, that is exactly what was said.

      • paranormalgirl says:

Is my reading comprehension that bad? I can’t see where ANYONE said this.

      • DeltaJuliet says:

What? Who said anything about white? Why make this into a race thing? Jesus.

      • jessiesgirl says:

The first time Riri smoked up in Hawaii everyone pretty much said the same thing…good for her, she works hard, has a lot to deal with, she deserves to relax. Now the 200th time of smoking out, wearing see through clothes to essentially be nude on public and general foolishness, yes she gets called out. I think most people think she should wake up and deal with reality instead of getting high all the time. If JLaw did this, trust that she would get called out too.

      • pfeiffer87 says:

yes, only white young virgins should smoke pot. white virgins who have won an oscar. too bad I don’t fit any of those categories…

  24. buckley says:

How do they get weed in Hawaii?
do they bring it which seems very risky or is there a staffer that hooks them up?
    Logistics…I’m curious…

    • andrea says:

Let’s just say Hawaii is a very green, agricultural place. All you gotta do is ask the right person.

    • Pandora says:

Hawaii grows some of the best weed in the world and has a long standing and entrenched MJ culture. I had a buddy who was friends with the family of an old and well known coffee company and he would stay with them annually . They had some extremely rare and interesting marijuana plants and really fascinating ways of growing them.

    • Shannon says:

I’m sure someone on Jennifer’s staff acts as a go-between with the concierge at the hotel, which has an arrangement with a local dealer or two. You’d be surprised at the range of discreet connections a concierge will hook celebs/people with lots of money up with (not just weed, cocaine is probably popular too, as are prostitutes). Of course, I’m sure she ultimately ends up spending a lot more for a small amount of weed than one would just finding a dealer to do business with directly. But there are a lot of reasons a celebrity wouldn’t want to do that.

      • Sweet Dee says:

        +1

I don’t know who gets it for her, but the hotel staff is always the best place to start. I go to Hawaii every other year and I’ve never had to ask more than one person, usually it’s the valet.

      • buckley says:

I can only imagine the yummy weed available in Hawaii. I’m in California and have a card so my searching for a dealer days have been over for a while.
Can’t even imagine having to look for weed elsewhere now but I don’t have a staffer to do it for me.

      • The Original Tiffany says:

Hawaiian weed is excellent. I’ve had a taste on almost every island.

SweetDee-we really need to get together. LOL. I go to Hawaii every other year too. Kauai mostly these days.

I have had it offered to me in parks, on beaches, pretty much everywhere. Especially if you are tan and look cool, no one should ever have an issue hooking up.

      • Runs with Scissors says:

“Maui Wowie” back in the day

  25. Shannon says:

I can’t believe one joint constitutes an “incident,” sigh.

  26. j.eyre says:

Congrats to Christian Slater. I have always had a soft spot for him.

I would love a Chris Rock/Dave Chapelle Tour.

My computer crashed when I clicked on the Shemar Moore link proving that it finds him as hot as I do.

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

Shemar Moore might be the ONLY guy that I will give a free pass to for tweeting pics of his torso.

      That man is delicious.

      • j.eyre says:

Have you ever seen him dance? It will awaken parts of you you didn’t know you had.

      • Tiffany says:

I saw him across a crowded Whole Foods deli one time…I couldn’t believe how hot he was. I really had to struggle not to stare or drool. He looked in my direction (we were opposite sides of the sandwich/deli area), and my heart jumped. I don’t think I have ever seen a man that hot in my entire life.

      • Runs with Scissors says:

weird, I went to college with him, he taught me how to lift weights. He was incredibly nice and cool, very sweet. I remember he told me about his mom, she was Swedish or Swiss or something. Gorgeous sweet guy.

  27. Amanda says:

No shade here. Puff puff on J Law!

  28. Apples says:

It’s like, I can’t like this girl any more than I do now.

  29. boredsuburbanhousewife says:

I’ve got no beef with the girl getting in some recreation and relaxation but I could have sworn when the photo link popped up it was KStew.

    • kay says:

If this was KStew she would be reamed from end to end.

      • Melissa says:

That’s so true. See what happens because of your attitude? Everyone likes Jennifer so no one cares. Kristen’s fans, they are probably screaming about it.

  30. mar says:

    good for her

  31. Good for you JLaw, you’ve had quite a year. Take a toke, take a smoke, take a swig. No worries.

  32. MsAubra says:

For something many would say is no big deal, many here are sure making a big deal out of it! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • kay says:

Jennifer is irresponsible, doesn’t she know that she represent a big franchise and teen girls are going to look up to her. There is no excuse.

      • MsAubra says:

        I meant it in reverse

      • NeNe says:

Look at Rhianna. It’s not hurting her every time she is posted in pictures smoking blunts, and thousands of fans look up to her!!

      • Shira says:

        Please!
If young girls who see this decide to smoke a joint because JLaw does it then they’re morons and that’s not Jennifer’s fault.
I’ll admit it, it kinda disappointed me – even though some of my closest friends smoke and I’ve tried it before as well – but that’s just because I, like many others, idolize her.
We need to remind ourselves – she’s a 22-year-old PRIVATE PERSON. She didn’t invite the paps to take pictures of her, while hanging out with a girlfriend. Just because we see interviews of her and think we know her, doesn’t mean we have any right to meddle in her life.

      • paranormalgirl says:

None of these people ask to be role models.

      • kay says:

Rihanna does not represent a franchise marketed to teens Jennifer does and therefore should be more responsible and stop corrupt our young people with her pot smoking ways.

      • the original bellaluna says:

And where do parents fall in this “responsibility/stop corrupting our youth” category, exactly?

      • kay says:

I think this girl should take some heat for her bad behaviour. At least be made to apologize. Lets not pretend it is okay to smoke pot just because you like her.

      • Sweet Dee says:

Nobody’s pretending. People defended KStew for smoking pot even though people generally don’t like her.

It’s a generational thing–people in their twenties don’t think there’s anything wrong with pot smoking alone. It’s safer than alcohol and cigarettes and it’s certainly NOT a gateway drug.

      • Bijlee says:

@kay I agree to some extent. JLaw has made herself out to be some role model for young girls, especially with regards to body image. However, she’s in the privacy of her own hotel room and her privacy was breached by the paps. It’s not her fault and she shouldn’t have to apologize for what the paps did.

She’s never said to young girls go do weed, go smoke. She’s never publicly endorsed it, but she does it in private, so it’s not really her fault. Her brothers probably got it for her lol.

      • Lexie says:

kay, she is hardly being irresponsible here. she even went inside her room to smoke. whoever took these photos, they’re extra creepy.

  33. mainstream says:

Who’s the woman she’s with in the second photo?

  34. NeNe says:

Nothing wrong with smoking a fattie at the end of a hard day….

  35. Nola says:

Thank Jennifer Lawrence for being the reflection of what our society thinks is the ideal woman.
Young, semi-smart, blonde, untouched, sexy (but no sexuality), middle class, traditional values/family and white.
    *no hate*

    • kay says:

      And a pot smoker.

    • kay says:

Is that what all the drug users say. I have never smoked pot in my life because I know it is illegal.

      • flay says:

        It’s legal in my state.

Loosens you up, makes you less judgmental and hateful *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*

        Everything in moderation of course.

      • kay says:

Oh really, well in my state you have to take a drug test before you get employed and if you test postive for pot you won’t get a job.

      • Sweet Dee says:

It’s legal where I live, am I a bad person for smoking weed too? Or is it only arbitrary laws made decades ago based on fear that dictate your entire sense of morality?

      • flay says:

        @kay

        Wow your life sounds horrible.

        Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚

      • MisJes says:

Kay, she’s allowed to do it in California where Jennifer lives, and she’s allowed to do it in Hawaii, where she is working. It doesn’t matter where you live.

  36. Shira says:

See the hair color? Yeah. It’s not a vacation. She’s finishing up Catching Fire.

  37. StaCat1 says:

Technically not on vacation – she is there for work..but likely kicing back after a LONG award season.

    Good for her.

  38. Claire says:

Does no one else find these papparazzi shots a little invasive of her privacy? I mean, she’s in a hotel room standing on a balcony and the angle of the pictures come from the side and above. Where would the photog be taking these from? Theu are almost so close you can see what’s laying on the bed for cripe sake! These celebs can never get a break from the constant snooping, sneaky eye of some hidden camera.

    • kay says:

I think Jennifer wanted to get caught smoking pot, otherwise why would she smoke pot outside. Doesn’t she know that she is a celebrity, a star, and the paps are always watching, she has no privacy.

    • bea says:

ITA – (and said so below!) It’s disgusting that they can literally see into her room. If she’s anything like me, I pretty much walk around a hotel room partially clothed (ok – naked). I would find that less than relaxing.

    • Lexie says:

yes yes yes!! beyond creepy. somehow i don’t think she wanted to get caught, much less had any idea some creep was taking photos of her :/

  39. anonymous fan says:

This girl has the life. Pretty, talented,an Oscar winner and gets to work in Hawaii on a franchise that will net her atleast 50 million by the time it’s over.Whatever deal she made with the devil I want it. Good for her.

  40. Listerino says:

What she does in her own time isn’t anyone’s business. Who cares if she smoked a joint? They make something out of nothing for the sake of a story these days.

    • kay says:

In a few years she will be another drug up KStew.

      • pastyousayyouneverknew says:

@Kay your comment made me LOL but I disagree; her smoking weed does not mean that she is suddenly on a downward spiral.

      • kay says:

Actually I am half joking, only half joking though because I do think weed is a gateway drug and I think she needs to apologise. You guy are giving her a pass just because you like her.

      • Sweet Dee says:

        @Kay

People are giving her a pass because they like WEED.

      • NeNe says:

No, actually, I am giving her a free pass, because who really gives a crap if she smokes weed. It’s her life. She has a right to make her own decisions. Nobody has a right to judge her on her actions. And if people do judge her they are just being self-righteous prudes.

      • pastyousayyouneverknew says:

@Kay this is a gossip site, not a freakin’ court, there’s a lot that celebs do that I don’t like but at the end of the day, an opinion is just an opinion, I have a poor opinion of lots of celebs and their life choices but what they do is their business.

I read from one of your numerous comments in this post that you live in an environment where drug use is not tolerated and can result in difficulty with getting a job – try to appreciate that people are a product of their life experiences, you are strongly against the use of weed because it isn’t legal in your state, others have a different view because it isn’t illegal and/or because they’ve grown to believe casual use of the drug doesn’t result in complete moral decay.

And yes, I do like Jennifer, I don’t smoke weed myself but I don’t believe that she needs to issue an apology to anyone. Not you, as righteous and upstanding as you are, not anyone. If she needs to issue an apology, so does Justin bieber, so do Miley, rihanna and Kristen.

      • kay says:

You all come here and judge people and make nasty comments. Who are you to tell me I shouldn’t judge anyone. What is princess jennifer immune from criticism.

      • Shira says:

@Kay, if we’re giving her a pass because we like her then obviously you’re riding her too hard because you dislike her.
I don’t expect her to apologize for living her life, making her own decisions and doing something that was not dangerous to other people.
Once again, teens worship celebrities much MUCH worse than Jennifer and if any of them smokes pot because Jennifer did, they’re fucking morons.

      • taxi says:

Oh, did that happen to Michael Phelps or Prince Harry? They were both photo’d smoking weed.

      • kay says:

Michael Phelps got a lot of heat for smoking pot and he had to apologise. He lost an endorsement too.

      • pastyousayyouneverknew says:

@Kay whatever Kay, it’s not like she’s a Disney starlet with a squeaky clean image, she’s not going to issue an apology solely because a single commenter wants her to. You’re taking this too seriously, Jennifer isn’t responsible for the actions of young people who will smoke weed. I was fourteen when Vanessa hudgens nude pictures were released and I idolised her up until that point, however, I didn’t (and haven’t til this day) sent nude pictures of myself to anyone. At school, I had lots of friends who smoked pot but I never did – people will do whatever they want to do and smoking pot does not mean you are suddenly a horrible person. You seem really angry about what she did – write an angry blog post or something.

  41. mercy says:

I don’t care what she does, but I have to say I don’t get the appeal of pot. I know it’s fairly mild by drug standards (depending on THC levels), but even in small amounts it’s known to increase appetite and induce varying degrees of paranoia, and it makes you act loopy and smell like a skunk. Give me a couple glasses of good wine or a margarita any day.

    • Nicolette says:

Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it. Great for relaxing, sleeping and as an aphrodisiac. ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Sweet Dee says:

It’s great for a lot of stuff ๐Ÿ™‚

If there were no appeal, people wouldn’t smoke it all over the world. mercy is in the minority.

      • mercy says:

I get all of that and more from a good run while listening to my iPod, tbh. Endorphins, good tunes, healthy heart and clean lungs FTW. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sweet Dee, I don’t care if I’m in the minority or not, tbh. Never been one to follow the pack anyway. ๐Ÿ˜‰

clv, I know from friends’ eexperiences that it can help alleviate symptoms of medical conditions and I would use it if I had one, probably in brownie form. ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

      • Sweet Dee says:

Congrats on being such a rebel, but I wasn’t criticizing you for being in the minority. If you don’t like it, you don’t like it. I wish people like you would just say that instead of acting so superior, you know?

I was just saying, if there were no appeal, the usage wouldn’t be so widespread despite it’s illegality and people wouldn’t be pushing to reverse the laws.

Personally, I hate running but I do it because of the superior way it affects my body compared to any other cardio. However, occasionally I get the high you write of. I’m sure you’re glaringly aware though, it’s not the same thing by any stretch.

    • c'est la vie says:

Agreed. Unless it’s medical marijuana – I don’t see the point.

      Or the expense.

Off topic. I’m still wondering about her choice of hair color…

    • mercy says:

Lol I’m not a rebel by any stretch. I just don’t care what the majority does or doesn’t do. I was talking about why pot doesn’t appeal to me. Running, good music, being with my love, traveling and other activities I enjoy provide more than enough relaxation and ‘highs’ for me at this time. What anyone else does is their business. I think it should be legal and I recognise its medical uses.

    • Diana says:

People are pushing to reverse the laws that prohibit drugs not because they are such a wonder but because in doing so, it would help stop the business of blood and corruption behind it.

  42. bea says:

    Good for her!

BUT – that sucks that the paps can literally see into her room. That is super effing obnoxious.

  43. originalkay says:

I don’t like that the paps took this many pics of her.
just because she is an actress doesn’t mean she traded her entire life.

  44. alison8761 says:

The diverse opinions on marijuana use on this site is really interesting.

My opinion is that weed is a better alternative to alcohol. When you talk about gateway drugs, alcohol is more likely to lead to other opiate abuse because it is a depressive. Weed, while different for various people, pretty much relaxes you, and it’s really hard to abuse.

the alcohol vs weed as a gateway drug has been studied empirically, and also anecdotal evidence supports it as well.

plus! weed can be used to treat anxiety. again, it depends on the person and the strain, but it can help constant worriers. Weed can be prescribed to treat trichotillomania, which is the compulsion to pull out your hair, (which usually happens due to internalizing stress and/or depression). And trich, along with other impulse-control problems, is pretty hard to treat, so it’s good news for sufferers.

anyway. that’s my piece on weed. it’s really not as bad as some think and can be really helpful.

    • phlyfiremama says:

Exactly. There are over 400 known cannibanoids in MJ besides THC, and the medical uses for this plant have been well documented~until the “reefer madness” hysteria took over. Time for SERIOUS reform! Long since PAST time, in fact~

  45. Mac says:

Hopefully she learns a valuable lesson because this will eventually cost her plenty.

    • mel says:

nothing will happen to her because the media is still building her up. the moment they want to get at her, she will suffer way worse than any other star because she is perpetuating this adoration

      • Bijlee says:

Sounds like you’re tired of her too. I really like her. She seems funny, but I’m soooooo sick of her being everywhere and the endless adoration and praise she’s received. She’s no Meryl. I wish people would stop saying that. She’s more on her way to becoming a Kate Winslet.

But you know what else, I’m just tired of all these white blonde blue eyed girls that get pulled from the masses to become the it girls and the “finest actress of her generation.” Girlfriend is talented, but her talent is so nauseatingly hyped that I’m just tired of her. She plays the game as much as Hathaway, she’s just way more subtle about it.

  46. RedWillow says:

Hope Jen’s parents or her close friends have seen these pics and alerted her to the fact that those damn paps are lurking… she needs to be aware of this so she can be more careful while she is in her room.

  47. Sara says:

She is from the Ville. We all smoke weed.

  48. Bijlee says:

Meh don’t care. But my stepbrother smokes almost daily and the dude is such a freaking moron. Don’t pick this stuff up if you’re not kind of smart or aren’t disciplined with its use at all. It’s become the only way he can relax and deal with his problems. My point. At least be emotionally healthy before you start doing drugs or drinking. Dude can’t study, he’s not doing well in school, all he does is smoke pot and drink with his friends. It’s a sad life.

    • mercy says:

This was my cousin. She went from decent student and high school track star to college dropout working dead end jobs and living with loser guys just to get by and have enough money to cover her habit.

I know for many it starts with alcohol, but for her it started with pot. It was widely available and her peers all had their medical marijuana cards. She used it to treat her legitimate anxiety issues, but it also led her to smoking pot laced with opiates and then other drugs. She had brushes with the law, trips to the emergency, and a few stays in rehab (thank goodness her parents have money) before finally getting her life in order in her late 20’s. This has nothing to do with JLaw, of course, but any drug can be the gateway if you are predisposed to addiction, even pot.

      • Bijlee says:

I don’t like either. I’m not a fan of drugs. I know my personality and I’ll slowly start to use them to avoid obstacles instead of dealing with them. I don’t drink, smoke, or really anything of the sort. If everyone else wants to do it, I don’t care. However, I am tired of people going on and on about the benefits of marijuana and the evil of alcohol. I’ve seen the damage both can do.

If all these things are going to be legalized, decriminalized, taxed, whatever, then I hope to god people teach their kids to be responsible drug users just as they try and teach their kids to be responsible drinkers.

Say what you want about the effects of weed, but regardless it does alter your state of mind. I don’t need stoned morons driving in the middle of the night to satisfy their munchies when I make my taco bell runs. What weed is to some of you people, taco bell churros are to me.

  49. phlyfiremama says:

Good for her~its been a rough couple of months. Marijuana should at a minimum be decriminalized at the Federal level, and preferably legalized, taxed and regulated across the board. No more destroying peoples lives for a plant~

  50. Patrice says:

Good for her, she’s earned a little-or in this case, a whole lot-of relaxation ๐Ÿ˜€

The fact that it’s 2012 and our world is in the current state it’s in but people still clutch their pearls in horror and demand apologies over responsible, functional adults smoking a little of the green stuff is so beyond me…I don’t smoke, but if I were a celeb and also on vacay on an island I might, and it certainly doesn’t bother me if other people want to!

  51. Patrice says:

Lol. “2013”! I’ll be writing 2012 on just about everything for a least another month, it’s just a pure coincidental Freudian slip that I wrote the wrong year on a post about smoking week ๐Ÿ™‚

  52. Patrice says:

*weed WOW. Ok. I give up now ๐Ÿ˜€

  53. hikkilove says:

does anyone else feel grossed out that we’re looking at pictures of her as she appears to have let her guard down? i felt creepy just looking at her be so unaware. sometimes this whole celeb watching gets to be a bit much i think.

  54. NEENAZEE says:

What’s up with the jet black dreds?

  55. Runs with Scissors says:

I kinda feel like people who knock pot as a waste of time and money just haven’t ever had GOOD weed. Big, big difference, lol.

  56. Patty says:

She is 22. That is the time to light up and most people grow out of it. Although I could care less if people occasionally light up; I only wonder about the ones who are always smoking pot after a certain age.

That being said, she mystifies me. I really just understand how she became so popular or why she is so popular. She is just an okay actress and I personally find her rather generic looking when not all made up.

It’s one of those things I just don’t get.

  57. mainstream says:

    Putting the J in JLaw.

  58. Juicy Lucy says:

Jennifer has a cute smile but other than than, she is very plain looking. She only won the Oscar because of Harvey’s bribes and bullying. While she does have talent, her performance is one that Kate Winslet or Reese Witherspoon could have played in their sleep. Now that she is an Oscar winner, I forsee her privacy dwindling as paps will be following her everywhere, which is really unfortunate as celebrities are entitled to some privacy. As for her smoking a joint, maybe Charlize Theron gave it to her.

  59. Mandy3333 says:

While you discuss and argue about illegal drugs Iโ€™ll tell something very true in my country where weed is illegal but there is a huge amount of people wanting to make it legal.
Drugs users are very protective of the drug dealers, they support in every way possible the crimes these people do. Drug users when committ crimes always put the blame on drugs just like drunk drivers who kill and blame the alcohol.
Iโ€™m not a drug user no matter itโ€™s legality, Iโ€™m not a criminal. So Iโ€™m not a supporter.
People who do weed and other popular illegal drugs are not victims and people who do not support them should not help.
Thatโ€™s why I love the health system in US, in my country the health system is public so the common citizen pay through taxes to help junkies.

Jennifer is just another idiot who do drugs for fun.
I think Kurt Cobain took too long time to find a better and faster way to kill himself. River Phoenix decided to make a show before dying of overdose because it was more glamorous. Weapon is better than drugs. If life is too hard for celebrities, why donโ€™t these people try it instead of drugs? *Sarcasm*

  60. Cocobelly says:

Pass the dutchie on the left one time…

  61. Mrs. Odie 2 says:

Poor Jennifer. When the pendulum swing of public opinion goes the other way on her, she is going to get rocked. Seems like a good kid, though.
