Tori Spelling sold $300 tickets to her birthday party at a castle in Denmark

We’ve seen Tori Spelling stay in Europe for about a month now, initially using the excuse that she had pneumonia and couldn’t return to her downsized rental home in California. After that there was a “surprise” re-proposal by her husband, Dean McDermott, near the Eiffel tower followed up by the two getting matching tattoos, all captured by waiting paparazzi. She’s also had the occasional gig and has been Instagramming photos of her purchases and sightseeing. This is all rather lavish for a woman who owes tens of thousands in unpaid credit card debt and is reportedly broke. Well Tori may have a way to rectify that. She sold $300 tickets to the general public to her birthday party, which was held at a castle in Denmark:

Tori Spelling was treated like a queen for her birthday.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum and reality star turned 43 recently and celebrated her big day with husband Dean McDermott, 49, their four children—Liam, 9, Stella, 7, Hattie, 4, and Finn, 3—and several new friends at NaesbyHolm Castle in Denmark.

Spelling looked like a bride in a strapless, white, flowing, layered chiffon gown and wore part of her hair in braids as she and her family were presented with an assortment of delicious birthday cakes, including a chocolate cookie cream one. Spelling was later seen enjoying a drink and dancing.

Tickets to the party were sold to the general public for 1,995 Danish Krones ($300), according to local news outlet BT. Spelling posed for photos with several guests.

[From E! Online]

So did the tickets pay for the party and give her some money left over to squander on luxury goods and Botox? Did she have the event taped to use for some kind of reality show? I have all these questions and yet I care so little about the answers.

At least Tori was game to help Danish peeps promote their merchandise. Is a promotional Instagram post with Tori worth $300?

I… Care so little. That is all

  2. Alix says:

A month in Europe in April-May? Shouldn’t her oldest kids still be in school?

    • NewWester says:

I just posted the same question. Maybe Candy Spelling is paying for tutors?

      • Alix says:

I thought Candy paid for their schools — hard to believe she’d shell out for tutors as well.

      • imqrious2 says:

As a 3rd grade teacher (for waaaay too many years!) I can tell you that parents frequently get around this. If the kids are going to be out for more than 5 school days, they are put on an “Independent Study” status. Then, as their teacher, I have to prepare the next week(s)’/month(s)’ lesson plans/worksheets/tests/etc. for them to take with them, as well any project syllabuses. Of course, it’s a s*%$tload of work to gather, and most parents didn’t give much notice beforehand. But, hey… it’s JUST school… 😛

  3. paolanqar says:

Wasn’t she broke? Her face is so scary at this point that nothing can save her. It looks deformed.

    • ladysussex says:

I’ve always thought her face was really scary. Way too much work done.

    • arock says:

ok but lets talk about the hair. 2nd hand jessica simpson extentions from ebay? refurbished halloween wig? 12 sets of CVS clip ins? stay klassy, tori….
      shillers gonna shill.

  4. Chelly says:

Like I said, she wasnt plagued w pneumonia, shes a hypochondriac who coughed & was up & about the next day. She just used that as another excuse to extend her luxury vaca.

Btw, I like the exclusive party, private party, vip hashtags…ummm, not so much. If you had $300 & apparently some nice gifts anyone is invited 😂 Oh, Tori…dont spend it all in one place now (too late?)

  5. NewWester says:

So is this all being filmed for a new reality series “Bankruptcy of the Rich and Famous ” ? Also , shouldn’t the two oldest children be in school? Or do they tutors?

  6. Kate says:

Tori Spelling and LeAnn Rimes are interchangeable at this point.

  7. stephanie says:

“I have all these questions and yet I care so little about the answers.”
    Gold.

  8. Danielle says:

I wonder if she gets more more for promotional appearances over seas?

    • I think it’s more that those are the only promotional appearances she get anymore.

    • Christin says:

I wonder if she decided that going to nice yet less ‘promoted’ places like Denmark was her big opportunity. She likely got her party paid for while opening up a (small) window of publicity for those pitching their wares.

      • iseepinkelefants says:

I don’t see a problem with that. They paid her to help promote their products. In fact maybe she should just start doing that from now on. It makes her money and it helps their business. At least she’s no longer being idle.

  9. Frosty says:

    Tacky.

  10. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Who on this planet would pay a nickel to see her?

    • Erinn says:

I saw the instagram photos for free, and I still want a refund.

She looks AWFUL. I’m a lover of super long hair – and even I’m just like ‘ditch the crap extensions’.

      • Rhiley says:

My sentiments exactly. I can’t think of anyone I would spend 300 dollars to see in person so the price is utterly ridiculous to me. Oh, and the hair makes her look like Swiss Miss on meth.

      • Bettyrose says:

I spent $150 on VIP concert tix recently and regretted it. I paid extra to get the best seats for a band I love, but meeting them was such a huge disappointment. They were just aging douchebags who clearly resented the meet & greet obligation to fans.

      • Christin says:

@bettyrose – I am sorry that happened to you. Amazing how ungrateful some performers can be, when the concert-goers are their customers (not the other way around).

On that note, hopefully Tori was genuinely nice to those who paid to be in her presence.

      • BengalCat2000 says:

@BettyRose, I had a similar experience years ago…I’m still a huge fan of the musician, but decided that I would never try to meet my ‘heroes’ ever again.

    • Lirko says:

Right? Are Danes known to be fans of American reality TV? Say it ain’t so…

    • ladysussex says:

That is what I am seriously wondering. Who would pay? Really? I wouldn’t even pay $3, let alone $300.

    • holly hobby says:

      A sucker obviously.

    • NeNe says:

That’s what I want to know. Isn’t that like asking people to pay $300 just to be her friend??? She’s so pathetic and needy. I cannot stand her.

  11. Tate says:

    So weird.

  12. Green_Eyes says:

I just can’t understand how all these celebrities that are so pumped up like the Michelin man with botox & or fillers or spray painted unnaturally orange can possibly think they look natural…yet alone good!

    • Mrs. Welen-Melon says:

It’s a look. You see it on the streets and golf courses of Carmel, CA. You could play Bad Plastic Surgery/Spray Tan bingo just sitting on a park bench and people watching there.

      • GingerCrunch says:

        Funny!

      • imqrious2 says:

It’s not even a game down here in the Beverly Hills/West L.A./Santa Monica area. You’d be more hard pressed to find someone (like me!) who HASN”T had work done 😝 It’s like Village of the Damned out here lol

  13. cleveland girl says:

    43????? She looks 70.

  14. Jayna says:

You just know behind the scenes their marriage is hell on earth. They are stuck together because of four kids and money problems.

I remember being shocked when she was talking about their marital problems and admitted the disappointment she had with Dean after she had their first child. I thought she was going to say deeper in the marriage, but she saw his selfishness early on. Yet, she painted the adorable couple on TV and wonderful husband/father. Why on earth did she have so many children in a marriage that was never strong from the beginning?

I agree with others who have said it. Tori is a hypochondriac.

    • Bridget says:

I hate to say it, but I think Tori knows that she’s doomed to be alone without Dean.

  15. So, when you purchase a ticket for the birthday party of someone you don’t know are you required to bring a gift?

    • Pandy says:

It’s hilarious that she got presents and ticket $$ lol. I guess it was a chance for Danish designers to get some Hollywood tastemaker promotion for the relatively low cost of $300. Smart hustle actually. The stuff looked pretty good (excluding the purse).

  16. Lucy2 says:

I can’t believe anyone shelled out money to go to a D list celebrity party, AND brought her gifts too! Tori has no shame.

  17. Anon says:

Holy tacky, batman. Also, shouldn’t those kids be in school?

    • Lucky Charm says:

Are the kids still there, or is Candy watching them now while Tori and Dean are taking an extended vacation? I don’t care enough to Google to find out.

      • Lucky Charm says:

Edit: The first picture of all the kids with them didn’t show up on my phone, so I didn’t see them and didn’t realize they were at the party. I wonder what excuse she gave to the school for their long-term absence?

  18. Green Is Good says:

When Tori stands next to a normal woman (the very attractive woman in the red blouse and black pencil skirt), her plastic surgery face looks even more freakish and distorted.

I do hope Tori isn’t fooling herself thinking Deaner actually loves her. She’s a bank account with implants.

    • Lucky Charm says:

My first thought when I saw her (the woman in the red blouse and black skirt) was she looks like she’s trying to be the Danish Kim Kardashian, lol.

  19. Tiffany says:

I will always admire her hustle. And leave it at that.

  20. Cynthia says:

This is so weird to me, the fact that her mother is not bailing her out says a lot. She is probably tired of misuse of money and this isn’t the first time.

    • Carol says:

So much has come out – my favorite was someone asking Candy about Christmas and she said something along the lines of her son puts strict limits on how much she can buy for his kids because he wants them just to have time with her, adding “my daughter, on the other hand. . .”

  21. Christina says:

The party was a total disaster. She was so late that the press walked out before she showed. One of the journalists had the nerve to ask when she was gonna show, and the security people threatened to kick him out. After that the remaining journalists all walked out and no picktures has been brought from her arriving 🙂 Go Denmark 😉

  22. JustCrimmles says:

I’d feel sorry for her, if only she could just learn…

  23. LAR says:

She has just the one pose, doesn’t she?

  24. Lucy says:

Her kids are adorable, that’s all I’ve got.

  25. Bread and Circuses says:

Has Tori decided she has a good side? Almost every photo, she’s presenting the camera with one particular angle and expression.

  26. JRenee says:

    Those poor children. ..

  27. eleri says:

she looks exactly the same in each picture!!!!!!!!!

  28. Charlotte says:

This woman’s a grifter. She goes from one exaggerated illness to the next. Let’s hope she’s not the one tutoring her kids.

  29. I may take heat for this, but I almost feel sorry for her. She didn’t exactly have a great example to follow. There was a special on HDTV a few years ago, talking about Candy downsizing her 10,000 (?) square foot house and moving into some penthouse in LA (that I don’t recall being a whole lot smaller). I will never forget seeing one of the storage rooms for that place. It was full of Christmas decorations that seemed never ending. And I still remember thinking that it all looked like junk. All that money and it looked like it was made in China. Obviously Tori lacks insight, otherwise she might have been able to get help. And with all that money, why did she end up with one of the worst boob jobs I’ve ever seen.
