People Magazine is running a brief denial of the split rumors from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s rep, who only says that the story is “not true.”. US Weekly has the quote that it’s “absolutely not true” that they’re breaking up. Yesterday we heard the details of an upcoming National Enquirer story which claims that the couple is “officially splitting” after four years and six children together. That report seems to be based on the news that Brad will have to be in LA for work while Angelina plans to either retreat to their French villa with the children or stay in NY to finish Salt.
Many of you were skeptical of the Enquirer’s account and thought it was primarily speculative, but others thought it had a whiff of truth and that there must be something wrong with these two. I’m divided, but tend to agree with Kaiser – these two probably fight and have problems like most couples, but the reports that they’re breaking up and fighting like cats and dogs are way overblown. These are arguably the two most famous people in the world, and they move gossip magazines like no one else. How many times have we heard that they’re breaking up? So far it hasn’t been true at all and they’ve remained committed to each other and to their family.
Pay attention to how the Enquirer words their insider statement, it’s like they’re hedging their bets: “Brad and Angelina will make appearances together from time to time, and he’ll meet up with the kids when he can. But make no mistake, this is a major split.” So we can assume they’re broken up, even as they’re seen together and continue to raise their kids together? It sounds more like dad has to be away for a little while to work.
Besides, I think they’re expanding their family. Angelina loves having kids and she’s not as bone thin as she used to be. I think she’s knocked up again, as controversial as that is to say. Wait and see.

Although I really don’t believe the National Enquirer’s Story, it seems to me that when tabloids latch on to these types of stories, they are often have some truth to them. The Pitt/Aniston, Simpson/Lachey, Spears/Federline splits were predicted for months ahead of time and they actually did happen.
Notice that this thread has not many responses. People are pathetic and infantile for praying, rejoycing for a couple of celebrities with young kids they don’t even know to split up, just to satisfy their ego maniac meanness.
Now that it is confirmed they don’t split, they go hiding or confirmed how powerfull Jolie is by acting desperate showing pictures 10 years old or spilling their usual bile or showing how miserable they are by the news.

Sometimes the truth is just kind of boring. And I suspected the truth is that he is about to start a film and she is wrapping one up so they are juggling obligations and their family as anyone does in a two-career, lots of kids family. Only they have help, so it’s not QUITE as hard.
I sort of doubt she’s pregnant. If anything, I think they might adopt again.
nnn: I do find it kind of sickening that people would actually hope and pray that a couple with six kids would split up. Why would you want their kids to go through that, even if you hate them? Ug. I wouldn’t wish that on any child. I went through my own parent’s divorce and it was bad enough without people being gleeful over it.
Look over at CDAN…the National Enq did a story on M. Fox and BAG breaking up and pretty much barfed up the same language from the Ang/brad story…they pretty much just changed the names.

Nimble minx their rep’s are their managers or lawyers they dont have publicist and Angie doesn’t have an agent either. As for NE predicting breakups they have claimed DR Phil, Oprah and Rachael Ray relationships have ended at least a dozen times over the last 2 years. Also according to them Patrick Swayze had 5 weeks to live in Feb 08

That Star mag story that they got married last year was hilarious. People and USweekly called their rep who denied the story, and every other tabloid website got on the bandwagon laughing at Star. Star thought they had an exclusive. When they saw their story falling apart, they got desperate, called the parish priest, and tried to bribe him $3,000 to back their story up. The priest refused and Star was left with egg all over their faces.

It’s their private business and I hate that people are so nosy about that. Even on a small scale.
After I broke up with my guy of 2 years (some time ago) for months afterwards I would have people coming up to me and asking how come we’re not back together or when we were going to get back together even after I already had a NEW guy.
AND, to be frank, I’d be more concerned if there wasn’t fighting. Every healthy relationship needs arguments, not a whole crapload but some is just fine. It doesn’t mean the end of the world.
In a NYTimes article about Angie last year they spoke about how she manipulates the media w/o having an agent or a pr firm.It said her manager, attorney and for charity related stuff,her philantrophic advisor, Trevor Neilsen, speak for her. Brad does have an agent.
As for planning a photo op with the kids everytime there is a break up story, they would be out in public every month since there is a breakup story on the net and/or in the tabs every month if not week. We only saw them together 1 0r 2 times between the Oscars and Cannes.
I was surprised her manager and his rep commented on this story too. Think the split rumors reach crescendo levels whenever she’s working (as opposed to when she’s home and he’s working), which is a bit sexist (maybe more than a bit). Their kids are getting older and can read. That could be one reason for the denial. I think they just decided to stop taking it and start hitting back, especially refuting the Brad & Jen are getting back together lies that someone’s PR (only God knows who) keeps leaking (and then denying). Maybe the denial was for the fired nanny’s sake-so she wouldn’t think she had succeeded in busting them up. The weird thing is that it shows they are actually reading the tabloids. We know celebs do but they always deny it.

HW relationships don’t last very long; however, I think that Brad and Angelina will withstand the test of time based on what their priorities seem to be. So they scrutinize every photograph and every comment by some self-appointed “body language expert”, desperate for some hint that all is not well in Brangieville. She glanced away while the photo was snapped — oooh, they’re on the verge of a split! He’s not smiling in every single frame — yay, he’s ready to run back to Jennifer! Yeah, they probably fight and argue at times like any couple with a bunch of kids. But they seem to be committed to each other and their family, and I think they are in it for the long haul.

Well duh, Angelina has never been a vanilla sort of girl and has never claimed to be one. Brad knew exactly what he was getting into. This is partly why we (the fans) love her, she’s uninhibited and lives her life the way she wants to instead of trying to fit a proper stereotype.
We’ve been seeing Brangelina breakup rumors in the press ever since they got together, I’m not believing it til I see it. The two of them are often busy working and can’t always be together, that doesn’t mean they’re doomed. For all we know, they enjoy having some space sometimes.
