It’s been two and a half years since Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel/apartment. It was in early fall 2016 when a group of armed gunmen infiltrated her hotel suite, tied her up and stole all her jewelry. Kim was traumatized for months. She swore she would be different after that. And she was different… for a while. She stopped with the paparazzi extravaganza, especially when she was traveling. She stopped wearing big jewelry for a long time. And then… time passed. She eventually returned to Paris. Her robbers were eventually caught. She even began exposing herself in all kinds of ways on social media and on the carpet.
So, Kim returned to Paris this week. These are photos of her arrival at her hotel, which was extensively documented by the paparazzi. She wore head-to-toe Azzedine Alaïa. The leopard print – or cheetah print – catsuit and trench coat is vintage, from the Fall 1991 Azzedine Alaïa collection. The boots are Alaïa as well, and I feel like they’re the worst part. Like, she was aiming for Cruella de Vil but the boots make the ensemble look like Snooki. It costs a lot to look this cheap though – the whole ensemble costs more than $10K.
Strangely, Kim is already documenting her return to Paris on social media. This makes me so uncomfortable – her social media was how the armed robbers were able to target her so precisely in 2016.

I recently wore something very similar to that because my husband told me to stop buying animal prints because they look cheap.
I sure showed him! Lol
CHEAP! proof that stupid celebs will wear anything, including the MOST UGGO stuff, if it has a brand name and costs a lot.
but I’ve always thought that leopard print clothing is cheap looking. handbags, gloves, etc are OK but any actual clothing item is just ugly and (yes) cheap/tacky.
PS – you can see that this onesie is a bit too tight in places for her. you can see that the fabric is stretched to the point that the color is “faded” across her chest and thighs/butt.
Animal print is a little tacky, but it can be fun as an accent color. It takes a hell of a lot of personality to pull it off as a full outfit, though, which Kim doesn’t have – or at least mistakes the 70% post-consumer recycled content in her body a personality.

She looked classic and classy, something Kim will never be able to pull off, but I doubt she wants to. My insomnia is raging again, so flipping channels, I caught an episode of “Snog Marry Avoid”. It was utterly ridiculous, of course, but I did wonder how Kim would fare on it…

Exactly! I’m getting so tired of these women who darken their skin and plump their lips and asses and get praised as trendsetters. Where was this praise for these features when I was getting made fun of for being a “half breed” or being told my lips were too big? Even compliments mostly come with fetish undertones or qualifiers.

It is not ok to darken your skin tone like this. And she knows what she is doing. She didn’t just get tan or something – it looks like an African American woman. Not only is this appropriation, blacksploitation, but it is also a disgrace to all the efforts people are making to help everyone feel more accepted in their own skin. She’ll probably claim that her daughter loved her look so she had to do it, like her comment about the braids. She’s pathetic – using the fact that her children are bi-racial to dabble in this whenever the mood strikes. She makes me sick and I hope her children aren’t too terribly screwed up because of her parents’ endless parade of idiocy.

I love this! It is so tacky!! I think it would have been better with some sexy heels, the boots are too clunky. And anytime I see Alaia I picture the scene in Clueless where Cher gets robbed and doesn’t want to get on the ground because it will ruin her Alaia dress, who is like, a really important designer.
