Prince Harry looked happy, hot & free at a Santa Barbara beach with puppy Pula

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit Bondi Beach

Prince Harry was seen and photographed out in Santa Barbara on Wednesday. People Magazine got their hands on the exclusive photos of the Ginger Prince looking relaxed and sexy at the beach with the Sussexes’ dog Pula. Harry wore a white t-shirt, grey shorts and a backwards baseball cap. Pula looks like she’s living her best life too and that she was all about playing in the ocean. According to People’s “source” (who was probably just the photographer), Harry “looked totally at ease. He has a great relationship with his dog, walking it off-leash. He looked just like a Montecito local just doing his thing — very relaxed walking barefoot.” You can see the photos here:

Meanwhile, as we discussed after the Cultural Reset Oprah interview, the British media developed a completely deranged fixation on claiming that Harry and Meghan “lied” about their pre-wedding story. Meghan said she and Harry asked the Archbishop of Canterbury to come over several days before the actual wedding, just so they could say their vows to each other privately. At no point did she say that the vow recital was the formal wedding or anything like that. The British media has nitpicked her story to make it sound like she’s lying and the whole thing is absolutely unhinged. Now they’ve dragged the Archbishop of Canterbury into it:

On Tuesday, the man who married them addressed the issue publicly for the first time, saying that wasn’t the case and that the big royal wedding on May 19, 2018, was, in fact, the real one.

“The legal wedding was on the Saturday,” the archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, who is the religious figurehead of the Church of England, told the Italian newspaper La Repubblica. “I signed the wedding certificate, which is a legal document, and I would have committed a serious criminal offense if I signed it knowing it was false.”

[From NBC News]

These people are awful. They are being willfully obtuse morons, all to make Meghan sound like the “liar.” Stop giving them air.

The Californian sun is working wonders for his skin. He looks amazing 👀

    • Elizabeth Regina says:

This is what a toxic free environment with good weather, good loving and good food does to one’s well being. Compare and contrast with a certain environment with a toxic press, servant’s quarters, bad weather and constant briefing and leaking. Yes, I want to be Meghan’s next hostage please.

      • L84Tea says:

You know what’s sick? I was on Instagram last night and saw a post full of photos of Harry and Kate–not Kate and Will, but Kate and Harry. And the comments were filled with these weirdos still saying, “I miss him being this happy. He’s lost his smile. He’s so unhappy looking now.”

It was insanity. These people only see what they want to see. Harry looks refreshed, happy, healthy, and HOT.

      • GRUEY says:

Anyone familiar with that coast knew beach pics were coming. It’s a huge flex. I’m telling you: British people fantasize about running away to beaches in CA. I’ve been told this by actual young brits lol.

  2. Digital Unicorn says:

Aww what a cute dog. I can’t tell from the photo’s if he’s with hot bodyguard – I’ll let you ladies have Harry, hot bodyguard is mine!

  3. Aurora says:

I feel like the archbishop is doing too much. He seems to have marching orders not to straight up disclose he officiated the Sussexes private ceremony. All he has to say is that he oversaw their private vows but the legal ceremony was the public wedding. It’s not that hard.

    • Cecilia says:

Which is exactly what meghan and harry said too. Nonetheless, i had hoped he would have simply said “yes, there was a private ceremony and yes i was there”. It would have saved us a lot. And the couple already disclosed there was a private ceremony so this whole thing about not disclosing private meetings is weird.

    • Bibi says:

I agree, the question asked must have been really negatively formulated to get an awnser like that. He probably did say it, but you know, they just leave out anything that sounds normal.
And Harry looks free and happy

    • Elizabeth says:

It’s too much to expect a powerful old white man in England to simply tell the truth. He’s too tied to the establishment. He can’t admit this is a non-story.

And can we stop expecting religious men to be good human beings? Because they usually aren’t.

    • Scal says:

He did kind of say that, but it think he’s covering his own butt to. He confirmed he had several solo meetings with Harry Nd Meghan beforehand including in their backyard, but he said he wasn’t going to provide details of private discussions and meetings. But the legal (and I think he included that word on purpose) wedding was Saturday.

Now emotional? Spirtual? Personal? I’m pretty sure he was there and gave them a blessing while they said personal vows

    • booboocita says:

Isn’t the Queen the head of the Church of England? I wish the archbishop had been more clear, too, but he’s between a rock and a hard place. I imagine BP told him to sit on the story (whether the Queen was a part of that directive or not is hard to say) and the poor man had no choice but to comply.

    • HeyJude says:

The Queen is the head of the Church of England. He absolutely has marching orders from her, his boss.

Everything in that godforsaken antiquated country is tainted by the monarchy.

They’re still stuck where America was before 1776, centuries behind the times.

      • Janeeys says:

This is completely offensive. The godforsaken country with a free at the point of entry national Health Service, one year’s maternity leave, minimum four week’s annual leave and myriad other workers’ rights. Have you compared gun deaths? Your views of a stranger seem to be informing your opinion about a country and its people. And I say this as am Irish citizen.

  4. Cecilia says:

Can meghan and harry adopt me? I want to live in santa barbara near the beach too😩. That California sunshine seems to be doing wonders

    • Mila says:

      Me toooo!!

    • lucy2 says:

I know! They’ve made a really nice life for themselves. I’m happy for them, and hope they stay there and build a wonderful community of friends and family.

    • Amy Too says:

I will literally sleep in one of the extra bathroom’s bathtub if I could!

    • Anne Call says:

It was over 80 degrees on Wednesday in SB. We go to that beach in Montecito all the time with our dog. Wish people would just leave the guy alone. Camera phones lets everyone be a paparazzi these days.

      • BothSidesNow says:

I know @ Anne Call!! I love the “source” planted statements as actually being the photographer.
More importantly, Harry looks happy, relaxed, delighted and utterly content and in his own special place of utter happiness and joy as he walks along the beach!! Wonders to the soul and ultimate happiness as he is clear of the toxicity and is finally able to live and love his spectacular wife and son, with a beautiful girl in the way!!

      • Still_Sarah says:

@ Anne Call : I would say this was an arranged shot for People magazine, not some camera phone. Celebs love to do stuff with People because People lets them do a positive spin. H&M being happy and relaxed in their new California home is just the message H&M want to have out there now and these photos do exactly that. Meghan is very media savvy from her years as an actor and she knows how to make the right moves. These photos of Harry and the dog on the beach are just that.

  5. Over it says:

Harry looks yummy. As for the dumb F’s still going on about the fact that Megs and haz personal vows to each other signified their beginning, well it must be a slow news cycle for the relevant royals there on salty isle. Might I suggest they check to see if Karen or Kevin have worked all week?

    • JT says:

It just seems that they don’t want to cover anybody else. The queen is out and about, as well as Charles and Camilla. They haven’t gotten this kind of coverage, or any. The Oprah interview is already a month old, and they are still going through it with a fine toothed comb. I’m surprised they haven’t found out the price of Archie’s Chik-Inn yet. (Just wanted to type out Archie’s Chik-Inn; it’s so damn cute.)

      • LaraW” says:

It’s because they don’t know how many bathrooms are in it. 🐣🧐

      • Elizabeth Regina says:

Hahahaha! Archie’s Chik-Inn definitely has more bathrooms than the servant’s quarters, Frogmore cottage.

      • BayTampaBay says:

No member of the British Royal Family generates “click$” like the Sussexes. When the public stops clicking the British tabloids will stop printing.

    • BothSidesNow says:

@ Over It, imagine being the Archbishop and being dragged into the fold of the royal rats to specify exactly what was said, who instigated what p/when/where and how said what.
My god, leave these people ALONE!! I am so sick and tired of the entire group on Salty Island that I immediately become angry for Harry and Meghan!! They are like a attack dog with a mission of becoming fight dogs. Leave the story be and drop it. Move on and disappear please!!

  6. Yeahyeahyeah says:

He is really just getting hotter and hotter

    • MF1 says:

It must absolutely kill William to see these photos. PWT is getting uglier and uglier while his brother keeps getter hotter and more famous.

      • Lorelei says:

The fact that these photos came out within a week of William being declared “sexiest bald man” and being dragged for days even for *that* title is 👌

William must just be seething constantly.

    • Leni says:

He really is! Just getting finer and finer! When I look at pictures of he pre-Meg he really wasn’t that hot! He’s really upped his game!

    • MerryGirl says:

I concur. Harry’s always been the cute one but I swear, he’s oozing sexyness now. After that rope climb he went up 1000% for me on the hotness scale, LOL.

      • Anna says:

Wait, what rope climb? omg levels of hotness!

      • CrazyHeCallsMe says:

@Anna. Check out Harry’s interview with James Corden. He climbs a rope while completing an obstacle course. Total hotness.

    • Nyro says:

Wait until he gets that good Hollywood hair restoration. They might as well go buy capes because they’re all gonna be Super Mad.

      • Blueskies says:

LOL 😂 And I wonder if Harry will go in for some hair restoration? The rota will have a litter of kittens each at news like that.

  7. Myra says:

Pula living her best life. From shelter home to Montecito mansion. She’s probably Harry’s fave, too because Guy behaves like a mummy’s boy.

People know very well what Meghan was referring to, but they have an agenda to present Meghan as a liar so they can ‘what else is she lying about?’ NBC and CNN are trash for going along with this racist agenda.

    • Cecilia says:

The sussexes seem to be catching flack from the whole uk media as well as left wing and right wing US media. Its tiring.

      • Andrew’s Nemesis says:

@Cecilia In the end, though, they’ll rise – and they’ll do so by continuing to be their honest, decent, kind, good and ethical selves. People always kneejerk when they’re confronted with the good, because it makes them miserably aware of their own failings.

      • Soupie says:

“People always kneejerk when they’re confronted with the good, because it makes them miserably aware of their own failings.”

        @ AndrewsNemesis
Right! Try telling that to the Magat/idiots on a couple of other gossip sites which shall remain nameless. Such a toxic waste dump over there. Really sad that many of them are actually not bots.

      • Elizabeth Regina says:

Maybe because was around during the Diana years, the flak is par for the course. The media have their marching orders and will do all they can to try and whip up a frenzy. The huge difference this time is that most people even the right wing nut jobs know that their favourites are unachieving and uninspiring no matter how much they try to denigrate the Sussexes.

    • equality says:

It’s obsessive. You don’t get “Will lied about covid, what else does he lie about” or “Kate lied about crying or lied to her children about school being on break, what else does she lie about” or even “Andrew lied about not sweating, what else does he lie about”. The rest of them are getting a free pass on anything and every little move or statement by H&M get picked over and analyzed obsessively. It’s insane.

      • swirlmamad says:

        Wonderful points and SO true.

      • SenseOfTheAbsurd says:

They’re just trying to discredit them in advance before any receipts or lawsuits start dropping. Too bad for them, real evidence which isn’t based in opinion doesn’t work like that.

    • Chelsea says:

Im annoyed with NBC and CNN for writing about this stupid story but it is in no way comparable to what the British press has been doing. The British press has been clamoring about this pretty much every day and have been doing multiple long panels about it. The American news orgs if they do touch it just do like one story and move on. That difference in volume is significant and im happy that at the very least Meghan isnt dealing with a daily avalanche of BS every day in the press in the country she lives in during this pregnancy like she did with Archie.

    • Saucy&Sassy says:

I said this before, but when I heard them describe their private ceremony it was very clear that it was just the 3 of them. In the US we have to have 2 witnesses, so I immediately concluded that this was just for them and the the LEGAL wedding was after that. Would someone please tell me: Do you need witnesses in the UK? If so, what is the big frickin deal?

      • Rapunzel says:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t there a moment during the televised ceremony where they went to sign the official license or something? So clearly there was a moment during the ceremony where they made it legal. This would explain why Meg wasn’t more careful with her words– she assumed people would realize she didn’t mean legal because the moment they made it legal was televised!

The media definitely trying and failing to paint her as a liar. But there’s also an element of possessiveness to this- Meg and Harry simply cannot be allowed a private moment. Everything must be shared. The RRs are Salty they missed out on something.

      • Kaye says:

You don’t need two witnesses in every state.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

Kaye, I wasn’t aware of that. Do we have some states where you do NOT need any witnesses?

  8. mariahlee says:

Are we sure Meghan isn’t the hostage? Lol

    • Bibi says:

This is their operation “Harry isn’t Meg’s hostage”. He is his own person. I like to see Harry like this.

      • JT says:

Lol. I know right. Who’s really the hostage? Harry was seen riding his bike and now at the beach. He looks great and really relaxed.

  9. Seraphina says:

I don’t know, it’s difficult to tell in the pic above. He certainly doesn’t look like the person in England those last few public engagements. They look great together and I hope they continue to do great things and live happily together.

    • Cecilia says:

I know meghan is busy growing her baby girl and i wish the most peaceful pregnancy ever as well as maternity leave but im so curious to see what they’ve been working on. And their future projects and collaborations. Fingers crossed for a meghan x UN women collab.

  10. Lauren says:

Being a hostage suits him. Meghan and him could keep me hostage anytime if I get to look as good as them.

    • Seraphina says:

      It’s called the California Syndrome

      • Bettyrose says:

It’s so true. I wasn’t even an especially big fan of SoCal weather. Give me mist and trench coats. But when I lived down there it’s the best I’ve ever looked. Youth might have been a factor too though. 🤣

      • Seraphina says:

Bettyrose, I was also trying to play on words with Stockholm Syndrome. Not sure if anyone got it though ….

      • bettyrose says:

        @Seraphina:

I definitely got it – hostage to California and loving it! Harry wouldn’t be the first to fall prey to that syndrome.

      • Seraphina says:

I loved California when I visited. San Diego is my favorite of all.

  11. Amy Bee says:

The British media’s objective is to paint Meghan as a liar so that they can discredit the whole interview and avoid talking about the real issues which are racism and mental health.

As for Harry he looks good and happy and is probably having the best time of his life. After what he’s been through his entire life, it’s good to see him truly live his life on his terms. He says Meghan saved him and I think it’s true.

    • ABritGuest says:

Yep. Even though they described just three of us in our backyard so clearly wasn’t an official ceremony. And on their first wedding anniversary they posted video of signing their wedding register on 19 May so that being their official wedding day was never in doubt.

Meanwhile where was the follow up after Andrew claimed he couldn’t sweat? Or when the press asked KP if William had coronavirus & they denied it even though that was a lie and he apparently didn’t want to worry anybody? As Meghan said the firm lies to protect others..

Harry looks great. Keep the hats on and cover the balding 😬. How soon until we have pics of The Other Brother with his new dog?

  12. Ginger says:

Harry looks like he just belongs in California. He looks so good.

As for the vows, it seems to anger the RR’s and haters that Meghan and Harry exchanged personal vows. More proof that these two are so in love they wanted a simple ceremony just for them and no one else. The RF’s wedding are more arranged marriages than anything else. They don’t understand two people marrying for love.

    • JT says:

This is a good point. I bet no other royal couple exchanged private vows, or even thought about it. It’s very romantic and it certainly goes against the attention seeking angle.

      • 809Matriarch says:

Wonder if Cain and Mumbles will renew their vows in a private ceremony for their anniversary.

      • JT says:

@809 perhaps in their backyard? You know they always gotta SWF.

      • swirlmamad says:

If W+K renewed their vows in a “private” ceremony they then blasted out to the world, it would be the most awkward, embarrassing, staged sham EVER. And I am actually hoping they do it because I’m so here for the dragging they will get on Twitter 😂

    • Nyro says:

Yup. And they’re pissed that Duchess Karen didn’t get a beautiful private moment like that. Karen’s prince couldn’t even be bothered to show up to the wedding rehearsal. It boils their blood that their English Rose was committed to not out of love, but out of duty. And now, ten years and three kids later, she’s merely tolerated by William.

      • JT says:

He didn’t show up to the wedding rehearsal? I didn’t know that. Where the hell did he go? And people still think those two married out of love?

      • Nyro says:

He didn’t show. In fact, I think Harry went in his place.

      • Lorelei says:

Wait, what?! He just…didn’t show up to his own wedding rehearsal & dinner? What on earth?
What other plans did he claim to have, pray tell, that were more important the night before his wedding??
He is a real piece of work.

      • swirlmamad says:

He didn’t GO to the rehearsal???? OMG. I need to know where you all uncover this tea! It’s Charles and Diana’s rehearsal in the Crown all over again. Willie and Keen are a total hot mess. It’s unbelievable how much tap dancing and smoke and mirror magic tricks are done to make these two look like they only just tolerate each other’s company.

      • notasugarhere says:

True, William didn’t go to the rehearsal. Harry had to be his stand-in. There were photos of Harry and the Midds leaving the rehearsal. Billy claimed to be ‘working’ at the time.

      • swirlmamad says:

So I googled and sure enough, this was one of the first hits to pop up. Just wow. Gotta love how they tried to make it all “nothing to see here”, though. Yeesh. https://www.nydailynews.com/life-style/harry-lends-hand-prince-william-no-show-royal-wedding-rehearsal-article-1.113791

  13. Aurora says:

It seems Pula is unofficially Harry’s girl while little Guy rides or dies with Meghan.

  14. S808 says:

They need something to discredit so they can disregard the whole interview but it’s too late. The narrative has been set and the public believes H&M. We all knew what she meant because a lot of couples do the same thing. Trying to discredit them almost a month later won’t do much. And it’s a weak angle, the wedding vows are a blip compared to the much bigger topics discussed. And they can’t refute any of that.

California agrees with Harry, he looks great! I definitely think pula is closer to Harry and Guy is a mamas boy lol.

    • 809Matriarch says:

This foolish strategy to try to discredit the entire interview based on private vows is a failure right out of the gate. By announcing the imminent hire of a “diversity tsar” the RF has already admitted someone senior made those heinous remarks about Harry’s children with Meghan. They cannot propagandize their way out of this.

      • MsIam says:

Exactly, if they are “very much not a racist family” why do they need a “diversity czar”? Are they trying to say ” We are not racist, we just hire people who are racist!” ? Hit dogs always holler!

  15. Southern Fried says:

Wonderful to see him relaxed and enjoying life.

    • Soupie says:

Southern Fried I just moved to the South and it’s been a terrible dark cold rainy Winter – and a frightening Spring. I grew up in Southern California and I have to admit this makes me really nostalgic. Still, tens of thousands of people are leaving California for places like Texas Tennessee Alabama Idaho etc. It’s really a shame what’s happened to California. But it warms my heart to see Harry now enjoying a more relaxed life with good weather. I could never move to a place like the British Isles. It’s beautiful but too cold and dark for me.

      • Southern Fried says:

@Soupie, Cali is just too expensive. My goal was to move there but couldn’t afford it so moved to the southern Atlantic coast. I know, it’s red and crazy here but affordable in rare spots with glorious weather and ocean breezes. Anyway I’m a southerner of some sort now myself and enjoying it immensely.

      • Soupie says:

        @SouthernFried
That’s great! There are actually a lot of things I really like about the South and I’m pretty much resolved to spend the rest of my life here unless something else happens. I figure my life isn’t as bad as a lot of people so I should count my blessings! What’s really interesting is that in the few months I’ve been here I’ve met at least 5 different parties of Californians. I’ve also met people who moved to California and then left. I’m planning a trip this Spring to visit the Turtle Preserve in South Carolina and a few other places I’ve never seen. Really looking forward to it.

      • Ann says:

I live in Texas and we have gotten a lot of Californians here over the past few years. Here in Houston, and they really seem to like Austin too. They say it’s because Cali is just too expensive. They can’t buy houses, even on good salaries.

      • (The OG) Jan90067 says:

It’s sad, but true. A total tear down is about $1M and on a small lot, to boot! My sister has two rental properties in Santa Monica, 20 blks. from the beach. The older house (tho it’s been updated/remolded inside) goes for $6750/mo. and the new build, modern house goes for $8500/mo. Even with two good salaries, that is a LOT, and yet, that is the norm for the area (and don’t forget, you also have to have about 2 mos. rent just for the deposits! That’s about $14-17K alone that you have to shell out first!). The closer you get to the beach, the higher the rent.

Even further inland, all the way to downtown LA, the rents can be staggering (some downtown lofts/condos purchase prices are $1-5M as well!). And these rents are comparable to a monthly mortgage payment, IF you can come up with a 25-40% downpayment, then the insurance, utilities, upkeep, etc. for a single family home.

I don’t know how people can begin to buy here, unless they have a LOT of help, or a *really* high paying job.

      • Isabella says:

Idaho. BRRRRRR. Also: terrible schools and gun nuts. Don’t get me started on my relatives refusing to wear masks. I love Idaho for visiting, but people just forget all these things when they think about moving there.

      • Kkat says:

Southern California is expensive but no where near up the cost type of expensive.
I’m near Long Beach and houses range from 200k to 800k
My sister’s is a 2 story 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom house and it just appraised at 450k
But in the neighborhood they range from 275-400k for typically 3-4 bedrooms.
Were staying with my sister right now during the pandemic but we rented a 3 bedroom literally right across the street for the last 4 years for 1800 a month.
Rents in the area range from 1800-2800
This is in a nice quiet suburb , in Lakewood.

Before that we lived in Walnut Creek up near San Francisco. Our rent was 1850 a month, you can find cheaper rentals. My kids school was rated a 9 and we were next to a nice park and a library.
What’s more expensive up north is groceries

When we moved back down, shopping at Safeway, sprouts and trader joes (same stores) my grocery bill was cut in half.

    • erin says:

Californian here, in the Bay Area. Housing costs are insane. My husband and I make decent money and to purchase anything where we are renting is upwards of $700,000, and that is for a pretty average/crappy house in a suburb a ways outside of Berkeley/SF. A decent, ordinary, normal house (2-3 bedrooms, 1-2 baths) in Berkeley will be over 1 million dollars. He has guys he works with who commute 2 hours each way in order to be able to afford to own a home on their salary. I’m not sure what we will do long term but with these home prices, it does feel crazy to stay.

      • Anne Call says:

Lived in Bay Area for 25 years and now in Santa Barbara. We moved here because it was more affordable and we knew and loved the area. People in SB are amazed when I tell them we came from somewhere more expensive, but Palo Alto area housing is insane. Having said that, I think remote work is going to be a game changer. Lots of families will fan out from expensive areas but continue to work at jobs in Silicon Valley, SF and LA. I’m a native Californian, lived 8 years back east and couldn’t wait to get back. I’d rather live in a smaller house and be outdoors all year round.

  16. Becks1 says:

He looks happy and relaxed and while I’m sure the photog was annoying, he doesn’t seem bothered by it. I think that’s one of the things that he does accept – that when it’s just him and the dog on the beach, there are going to be pictures. Archie being there would be a different story. Harry is living his best life and it’s wonderful to see.

As for the wedding story – the British press must think everyone is as stupid as they are. I think we all knew what M meant. I viewed it as kind of like Pam and Jim’s wedding in the office, where they got married on the boat before the ceremony with everyone else. Even though of course that boat marriage was legal, the point of it was to remove the nerves and tension around the public ceremony. I thought of this the same way – H&M were sharing their vows with each other, to remove some of the nerves and stress around the public ceremony.

    • Anne Call says:

Probably someone on their iPhone. Paparazzi on that beach would be dragged off ASAP. Lots of rich/famous people live on that stretch plus the Rosewood Miramar gets lots of actors staying there.

  17. Cessily says:

With all the tabloid news still running wild articles and a plethora of “unnamed palace sources” wether planned or not these photos of a relaxed carefree PH are the best response without having to utter a sound. PW wanting to “respond to the interview”article, seeing these photos shows just how out of touch the BRF really is, PH and family are ok, happy and good with their choices. The RF should step up and just be a family, forget the business side.

As they say, living well is the best revenge. Most of the royals go out looking like they just sucked a whole ass lemon and here is Harry barefoot at the beach with Pula. Stay mad.

  18. Phoenix says:

I am not from an English speaking country and when I watched the interview even I understood from first time very clear what Meghan means by saying “marrying” lol
British media are just…morons, but why Brits trust them so much when its obvious. Whyyy?

  19. Miranda says:

More of this, People! Because it does us all good to see Harry looking hot and happy with a precious pup-pup. And maybe just a tiny bit to troll miserable old Baldimort and his lemon-faced bride. No no no, not you, Carole! Your daughter!

  20. aquarius64 says:

Harry looks great and happy in his new life. For Wedding -gate, the Sussexes’ spokesperson came out and said the vows in the backyard were personal and unofficial DAYS before the Archbishop said anything. The Oprah interview is almost a month old and the BM and the BRF are still smarting over this because they know their credibility and reputations have been damaged. They are using anything they can, even an insignificant unforced error, to regain it. They are desperate.

  21. Lemons says:

I wish Meghan had NEVER uttered those fateful words about how she and Harry had gotten married earlier. It was not worded correctly and just adds fuel to the crazies’ fire.

I’m glad to see Harry and Pula having such a good time together! I wanted to buy the same toy for my pup, but we ended up only getting the tennis balls.

    • Brielle says:

I agree with you on that…Their PR already clarified and I don’t know why the Archibishop talked to that Italian newspaper

    • lucylee says:

I hope that is the last interview they will do for a long time and the only birth announcement I would like is that Baby Girl Sussex arrived and mom and baby are doing well.

    • Isabella says:

I also wish she’d stop saying she never Googled. Everybody Googles.

      • notasugarhere says:

No, not every famous person googles themselves. Some, like Sandra Bullock, have said they did it once and never again. Leave that to their paid PR people to alert them where there are problems, but don’t go into that morass yourself.

      • Chelsea says:

Honestly I have never in my life googled someone before i meet them or after i have met them for personal reasons. I just find it kind of weird tbh. I’ve definitely checked LinkedIn/Facebook on individual people and Google on companies while in the interview process or when im about to start a job but that is a profesional situation. And i feel like if i was a celeb and knew what it is like when people write weird shit about me or my friends on the internet i’d be less likely to Google someone before i met them as to not pre-judge them. She also knew enough people in common with him, including his cousin, that i think she could probably trust he wasnt going be some type of crazy freak.

      • swirlmamad says:

At first I felt she might have been fibbing here too, but when you really think about it, she truly may have purposely NOT Googled him so as to not get any preconceived notions about him. They both know very well how the media can churn out a lot of BS — I’m sure she wanted to get to know Harry the man, not the paparazzi’s version of Prince Harry.

      • Ebony Rising says:

What good would googling do? How could you trust any of those sources? You wouldn’t know what info to trust. Why wouldn’t you ask your mutual friends about him? That sounds like a wiser and safer bet. And it was clear that she wanted to get to know him without a tabloid filter involved.

  22. MsIam says:

This wedding thing is ridiculous. I think CNN and NBC are just pissed because CBS got the interview which was huge in the ratings, plus Gayle is getting exclusives. Its a competitive business. Anyway, looking back at the wedding, it must have been insane with all the back and forth with her worthless dad, then the drama of who would walk her down the aisle, combined with normal pre wedding craziness. I think the “private ceremony” was just to remind them that the marriage was just about the two of them in the end. As usual, the rest of the royals and the British tabloids have to Bigfoot everything and put in their two cents.

    • Myra says:

I think that’s exactly it. It was quite a stressful moment from all the crazy stunts her dad was pulling and god knows what the palace was demanding bts, they just wanted to carve a special moment for themselves and reaffirm why they were doing all this. They are just two people in love. Yes, he is a prince and his life is completely stage-managed, but they are in love. At the end, that’s all that matters. Everything else was just noise. So no one, not CNN, not NBC, not the racist UK media and observers can get to tell them that their exchange of vows was not a marriage ceremony for them. It wasn’t legal, but it was spiritual, personal and symbolic.

      • (The OG) Jan90067 says:

I so wish I could “like” this a million times. This is exactly what the backyard ceremony was: just an affirmation for the TWO of them, no crowds, family, etc. JUST THEM.

  23. MaryContrary says:

We live in San Diego-years ago when Harry was still active military and doing training in SoCal, he hooked up with some young woman and spent the weekend at our local beaches. Yesterday when we were out, my daughter pointed out the cafe (shout out to Pipes in Cardiff) where he and the young woman had gone to brunch, and we were commenting on who could have predicted that he’d end up marrying a California girl, and living up the coast? He looks so happy and relaxed!

  24. Sofia says:

Harry looks great! Hope he’s enjoying the beach and sun.

As for the wedding story, most people (including the rota) know what she meant when she said “married 3 days before” aka a “spiritual wedding” was done. I will say that it could have been worded better by Meghan but again, the rota knows what she meant and are just trying to discredit her. The Archbishop is just saying the legal wedding was on the 19th and that’s it. No other explanations about what happened at the other meetings.

    • Dee says:

Yep. Legally, you’re married when the marriage certificate is signed. My friend was married with her father as the officiant. In the moment, he forgot to have the bride and groom sign the marriage license at the church. The bridesmaids and groomsmen took their time getting the couple to the reception, where her dad was nervously waiting. He was worried that if something happened on the way to the reception, the couple wasn’t married. And he was embarrassed because he forgot. They were married before God, but not married in the eyes of the state. Meghan and Harry were going to be married in front of the entire world. I can’t blame them for having a private exchange of vows with privacy. It would take some of the stress off the huge pomp and circumstance wedding with the TV cameras and be special just for them. Obviously, they don’t celebrate that private exchange as their anniversary. Petty royal rota are just throwing mud.

  25. Requisiteperks says:

I get that the media maybe nitpicking but I was startled because she specifically said we got married 3 days before our wedding and the other thing was a spectacle for the world.

I think the plain meaning of is we got married with the archbishop presiding and the big wedding was symbolic. I think she did make a mistake by saying “we got married.” There was nothing about the sentence, including talking about having the archbishop come by, that really supports that it was just a private exchange of vows. I think it was a mistake to not say something like “things are back to basics with us- you know, we exchanged our own vows with each other 3 days before we got married and our Union between us, before the wedding, meant the world to us.”

It still gets the same message across but without misrepresenting the “we got married” piece of things.

    • ABritGuest says:

They also said it was just three of them in their backyard& their personal vows from that day is framed. In England you need at least one witness and I don’t think a backyard is a legal venue. So I agree her choice of word was poor (and not sure why she shared the story) it was clear from the description of the event it wasn’t legal.

And I suspect the royal rota are also upset this is another scoop they missed out on.

      • MsIam says:

This is my take on why the story came out like that: We’re seeing the edited version of the conversation. I think this was in the context of a larger discussion about the whole run up to the wedding and all the craziness that ensued. That footage may have been unusable for some reason. They were in and around the chicken coop so it could have been an audio issue or glare or anything. I think the missing context is why that conversation seemed so random. Or it could have been a mutual decision between the Sussexes and Oprah to limit the discussion on certain things. For example, I thought it was odd that nothing about her father or Other Daughter made it into the edited version when she clearly discussed that with Oprah as we saw with the clips shown later.

      • Belly says:

It could be a photo of themselves, or their handwritten vows, or some other memento, that they’ve framed and put up on the wall.

I don’t know anyone who has displayed their marriage certificates on a wall, is that a thing?

    • notasugarhere says:

To her, that backyard ceremony was them ‘getting married’ for themselves, away from the prying eyes of millions. She didn’t misrepresent anything, she spoke it as she felt it. Heaven forbid apparently.

  26. Catherine says:

It was reported that the Archbishop had an audience with the Queen in the days before this article came out. Coincidence. Not likely. I don’t recall any other reporting about the Archbishops audiences with the Queen. It was interesting how that went down because he revealed that audience himself and they even released a picture. Which again is unusual. So it all feels very much like his boss which as the head of the church the queen technically is had a conversation with him. As usual though the tabloids and some American platforms are misrepresenting what he said. He didn’t deny anything. He simply said the Saturday wedding was the legal wedding but went on to definitely state that he would not talk about what happened at their other meetings because those were private moments. I agree with some of the above commenters about NBC’s and CNN’s coverage. It has been decidedly anti Sussex. I won’t be surprised if they go heavy with the Cambridge content for their anniversary. CNN has been shady for awhile (Max Foster). NBC has definitely taken a really negative turn though Savannah Guthrie has always IMO been shady to Meghan. Their obsession with this is backfiring though. I’m seeing more and more articles like Kaiser’s raising the issue of how ridiculous the coverage is. Even some of the RR have pointed out that this issue was addressed. Also, I think blaming Meghan’s wording is unfair. As someone above pointed out Andrew said “ As a result of my military service I can’t sweat in attempt to discredit the photograph of him with Virginia Guifré”. Not one person in British media called him the liar that he clearly is while they are attempting to discredit everything Meghan said based on their being deliberately obtuse about it. There are many people who are not legally married who considered themselves married. There are many people who have two services. This is not the foreign concept that the tabloids are trying so hard to make it even in England and it certainly shouldn’t be worth 3 weeks of conversation especially considering the Sussexes clarified the point the next morning. Then clarified a second time. I’m glad they refused any further comment.

  27. Phoenix says:

I think that the Windsors might have something to do with the negative media covarage in the US. Don’t underestimate their connections.

    • SomeChick says:

also let’s not forget that Murdoch owns like half of the media in the english speaking world… that’s why supposed “liberal bias” in the media is simply not true. the big media baron supports the US republicans, the tories, brexit, BoJo the bozo and that other bozo we had to put up with for the past four years! liberal bias, my behind! everything is controlled by Murdoch. it’s his agenda that is the true bias.

  28. NJ says:

Finally just a normal story about Harry without all the drama. Time to stop dragging in the gossipmongers from beans and toast crowd on hater island. They are only satisfied by hearing about how miserable the royals are. They hate seeing Harry happy and living the normal life he’s been asking for since his mom passed.

  29. Dee says:

This reaction by the royal rota is pretty ridiculous, considering the Queen has a real birthday and an official birthday celebrated months later.

    • MsIam says:

What! You mean the Queen lied! Everyone knows you can’t have two birthdays! Unless of course you are the queen. These people must have permanent indigestion from all of their belly aching.

    • Myra says:

That’s a great point and I hope people call her a liar on her birthday. She’s been lying about her birthday for how long now? Everyone knows that birthdays happen only once a year as it is a celebration of the day of birth. It is literally impossible to be born twice. If she is lying about this what else is she lying about? I hope I am being as pedantic as possible.

  30. bamaborn says:

    HOT! Hot! hot!

  31. nicegirl says:

I love that beach!! So glad to see our favorite Prince living his best life in the sunshine. Find your place to make your stand, and take it tf easy.

  32. JanetDR says:

It is nice to see Harry enjoying some sun and beach time!

  33. blunt talker says:

He really looks like a true blue californian with relaxing vibes and cool persona. Best wishes to the Sussex family and may God keep them close in his divine spirit,

  34. Prince Harry is a handsome hunk.

  35. Cass says:

I think most people knew that when she they “got married” she was speaking figuratively. Obviously the Arch Bishop of Canterbury is not going to preside over an illegal ceremony

  36. Cass says:

He looks great here but it is jarring to see him looking like a regular person.

I hope it isn’t a Palace tactic at play. To undermine him and imply that he has lost royal status and is a paparazzi target. It could be that they are trying to manage him out by getting the public used to the idea that he is not royal

    • Oh says:

Have you forgotten how he was looking like in his twenties?

    • Lowrider says:

Cass, you are trolling or a very negative person who live in fear.

A man went to the beach to play with his dog. Why are you panicking?

Some people are drunk on the kool-aid and really believe in this royalty con. There is NOTHING special about any of them.

    • Emily_C says:

Your… concern about this is exceedingly strange.

  37. Cass says:

It is probably a tactic to undermine Harry’s royal status ahead of the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral when it comes in the next few years (given that the DofE is almost 100 years old).

Philip’s funeral will be a State occasion. They won’t want Megan there. They need to find a way to not invite Harry so they don’t have to invite Megan

  38. Wit of the Staircase says:

Can’t wait to see the first photos of Harry surfing. That will be EPIC.
