Sarah Silverman has a new boyfriend

Sarah Silverman is over longtime boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel – at least, she’s moved on, anyway. The comedian is now dating another fellow stand-up performer named Rob Huebel – and he’s quite the hottie as far as comedians go. Sources say the couple are getting serious and Sarah is falling pretty hard for him. Does this mean she’s done f-ing Matt Damon?

Sorry, Jimmy Kimmel! The chat show host’s on-again, off-again girlfriend has a new guy, fellow comedian Rob Huebel, 40.

“Rob feels like he won the lottery,” says a source. “He thinks Sarah’s incredibly funny and gorgeous, too.”

The old pals have been a couple since shortly after Sarah, 38, ended it with Jimmy in the spring. Still, “I wouldn’t be surprised if Rob proposed soon,” the source confides.

Sarah definitely has a thing for funny guys. Before her relationship with Jimmy Kimmel, she also dated Colin Quinn and Dave Attell. Recent reports after Jimmy and Sarah’s first breakup painted Sarah as sad, and hoping for a reconciliation, but the second breakup seemed to be initiated by her and so far, it seems to be for good. Maybe her new man is a reason why. You might recognize Rob Huebel from his appearances on the MTV sketch comedy show “Human Giant,” which was something of an underground cult favorite. He’s also made appearances on “Reno 911!” “The Office,” and he played the host of the game show “MILF Island” in an episode of Tina Fey’s “30 Rock.”

  1. Firestarter says:

I am sorry, but dating Sarah Silverman, even if you are a comedian, has got to be annoying.

  2. Ash says:

Oh, he’s that guy from I Love you Man. He played a pretty annoying character. I guess they’re meant for each other then.

  3. Hieronymus Grex says:

Sarah Silverman makes me appreciate the creation of duct tape even more.

  4. Heavenbound says:

Sarah is neither funny nor gorgeous.

  5. Goddess711 says:

I think she’s great, and smart. If a guy doesn’t make you genuinely laugh more than he makes you cry, bail. She deserves a great relationship – Jimmy Kimmel is a duffus.

  6. hatsumomo says:

I cant stand her and a lot of other people cant either.

I was working part time at a art house theater( the benefits included free movies for me and my friends and endless starbucks coffee from the lobby!) and I was the box girl for the opening of Jesus is Magic film. For every 2 tickets people bought for the movie, 1 walked out or wanted refunds. No one could stand it. I’ve never seen a movie get such poor reception as that one. And when I went in to see what the fuss was about, she is AWFUL! Not remotely funny. The movie lasted all of 7 days on the marquee before it was taken down.

  7. Ggirl says:

Agree with Goddess. I guess I have a quirky sense of humor because I love Sarah Silverman. Maybe her edginess is a little shocking at times, but I think she is hilarious! I am so glad she has found someone new to date. From previous gossip blogs, you kind of get the feeling that Jimmy is a workaholic/commitment phobe. Life is too short for that kind of guy!

  8. Tia C says:

@ Firestarter & Heavenbound: LOL! Couldn’t agree more!

I have never found her remotely funny. I want to find her funny, but I just can’t. She is grating. Evidently this man likes to be grated – good for him!

  9. Sudini says:

I love Sarah Silverman – I think she’s really funny and smart, and I love the way she expresses her self. And when she’s being serious (ie. her interview with Katie Couric) she’s really rather endearing and very honest. I’ve never understood those who don’t find her talented or funny..

  10. ! says:

UPGRADE! Also, did he play Holly’s new boyfriend in the last season of The Office?

  11. Roma says:

We have a guy at the office that we call Tevin because of Rob Huebel’s character on I Love You Man. I don’t know anything about him as a person, but I find him funny as hell.

  12. MomInNH says:

I adore Sarah’s sense of humor. I think she’s hysterical. Glad to see her moving on from her relationship with Jimmy. Especially when the new guy is MUCH better looking.

  13. 218 says:

    I cannot stand her. CANNOT.

  14. Bill Hicks is God says:

I always think ‘Class’ when I see her. No wait, that’s B.O.

  15. Popcorny says:

I think she’s cute and I think her talents lay more in “SNL” type skits rather than stand-up.

  16. Stephferret says:

what i’ve found is that most people who hate sarah are men who are really just misogynists and threatened by a fearless woman with an awesome sense of humor. like 100% of the time.

  17. vee says:

I am neither misogynistic or a man and I find Sarah Silverman dreadfully unfunny. Jesus is Magic is enough to send anyone over the edge. The little girl act really loses it’s appeal after the age of 30—throw in the mean factor of her humor and it’s just not funny! But having said that, I love the idea of people falling in love. If they’re happy together…then I wish them well.

  18. EMoose says:

Which is it Stephferret? Most people or 100% of the people? I’m a woman and I don’t like Sarah Silverman.

I also don’t like women who assert that anyone who doesn’t like them or other “fun fearless females” must be a woman-hating pig…

  19. jennifer says:

I canNOT figure out where I’ve seen this guy – I think it must be Curb Your Enthusiasm. I saw I Love You, Man but I don’t remember who he was…? Anyway his face is SO recognizable to me, it’s kind of bugging me why I can pinpoint it haha. Anyway I ADORE Sarah & wish her the best 🙂

  20. Aristigon says:

I love Sarah Silverman, sure she kinda sluts her way through comedians but we’ve all dated co-workers. Good for her.

  21. Howie says:

Sarah gorgeous and hilarious – I love her sense of humor! Best of luck to them.

  22. Ashley says:

    Stephferret – wow condescending much?

I’m a woman and can’t stand her. I recall her being on Real Time w/ Bill Maher (probably the most misogynistic man in the world) show once. Bill couldn’t stop kissing her ass and let her go off on her stupid little rants that had nothing to do with the show. That was the one and only time I had seen her speak for more than 5 minutes and decided the woman was loathsome and idiotic. Really what kind of 40 year old woman wears pigtails and goes on about poop or whatever she was yapping about. Aren’t you a little too old?

  23. girl says:

I think a lot of the reason he is pretty recognizable but it is difficult to think of what he has been in is because he has been on a lot of those clip shows like “I love the 80’s” etc.

I don’t think SS is terribly funny. I have liked her on the Friar’s Club roasts I have seen her in for the most part but Jesus is Magic was horrible as was her recent tv show.

And FTR, I am a woman.

  24. Jacq says:

Jimmy, Colin & Dave? Sounds like she has a thing for ugly, funny guys.

  25. Popcorny says:

Yep, Sarah’s humor has a lot more misses, than hits.
Sometimes her sense of humor is replaced by/for being loud obnoxiousness … and it really becomes awkward to watch.
Someone else hit a good point in that her juvenile shtick was more funny when she was much younger, but as a 40ish woman, again, it’s awkward.

  26. Under Revas says:

Rob’s a cutie. And if he can put up with her….Best of luck.

  27. 4Real says:

No, I see her more with a chubby guy.

  28. dudes says:

sarah is so hot and funny and i hope this relationship doesn’t work out so i can ask her for a date. i think the reason people dont like sarah is cause she offends a lot of sensitive losers, some girls are jealous of her good looks and confidence, and some guys are turned off by such an outspoken strong woman. so basically, she’s awesome and so haters are hating on her.

  29. dudes says:

i saw jennifers remarks, and it made me realize…i knew this guy from somewhere too, but didnt know where. its from curb, he was the plastic surgeon larry thought was stealing his paper. remember the dinner, it was the sexual offender episode. and yeah sarah’s humor isn’t for everyone, i like it, but criticizing stupid humor for being stupid?? omg, wtf, u losers.
