His Royal Highness Prince Andrew The Duke of York the new Regimental Colonel of the Grenadier Guards inspects and speaks to members of the Grenadier Guards during the parade.
The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of York, was today received in St George?s Hall, Windsor Castle with a Royal Salute by the Grenadier Guards to mark the appointment of The Duke of York as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards.
His Royal Highness inspected the parade which was made up of soldiers from The Queen?s Company, 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards, and Nijmegen Company Grenadier Guards, the Public Duties Incremental Company which bears the former 2nd Battalion?s Colours and Battle Honours.
The Band of the Grenadier Guards provided music throughout.
