Sarah Ferguson wasn’t invited to the coronation. No one expected Fergie to be invited, least of all Fergie. The surprise was when she was invited to QEII’s funeral and to Christmas at Sandringham. In any case, Fergie has been invited to the not-so-star-studded coronation concert, and the fact that people are making such a big deal about FERGIE attending should give everyone pause. There’s such a lack of buzz and excitement around the whole coronation weekend.
Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, may have missed out on an invite to the coronation of King Charles, but she has been awarded the consolation prize of being invited to attend the Windsor Castle concert as part of the VIP royal group. The concert has reportedly struggled to attract talent, with Harry Styles otherwise engaged and and a rumored Spice Girls reunion not happening. Confirmed acts include Take That, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie.
The Sun reports that Fergie will get a ticket to the concert despite having been passed over for an invite to the main event, the crowning of Charles and Camilla at Westminster Abbey on May 6. The paper also reports that Prince Andrew will attend the concert as the king continues his attempts to rehabilitate the prince, who settled a multimillion-dollar sex abuse case brought against him by a victim of Jeffrey Epstein last year.
The concert will be a family outing for the Yorks, with their daughters Beatrice, 34, and Eugenie, 33, also due to attend. A royal insider told the Sun that while Fergie would “never have expected an invitation to the coronation,” she was “delighted to be joining the wider family for the coronation concert.”
The source said: “She cherishes those more relaxed times with the family and, contrary to some reports, is fully accepting of the situation. She did, of course, join the family for the Sandringham Christmas celebrations, so it’s clear there is no ill will in either direction. Quite the contrary.”
The concert invite is a consolation prize, but again, she didn’t expect to be invited to the coronation. I even suspect that if she had gotten an invite, she probably would have turned it down. Fergie was also on Good Morning Britain yesterday and she was asked about not getting an invite:
“You can’t have it both ways. You mustn’t sit on the fence. You’re either in or out, but don’t muck around,” the Duchess of York said on “Good Morning Britain” Thursday, breaking her silence on the headline-making snub. Ferguson insisted she is “not actually” offended by the lack of invitation, as she is enjoying single life and building her career as a novelist.
“I am divorced, and I’m really loving being divorced to my ex-husband — not from my ex-husband, it’s quite a differentiate — and also getting out there as a new novelist,” the “A Most Intriguing Lady” author said. Ferguson, 63, shared that she is still quite close with both Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, and will be celebrating the historic occasion anyway.
“Just because I’m not there on the state occasion … in private I can be there, and that’s a lovely feeling to be part of the family. It really is,” she said. Ferguson praised the king, 74, and queen, 75, saying they have done an “exceptional job at unifying the family.”
As much as people want to make Fergie’s “you’re either in or your out” comments about the Sussexes, it’s been clear that she’s talking about herself this whole time. Besides, Charles invited the Sussexes to the Chubbly. During this interview, Fergie also talked at length about her ex-husband, and she once again repeated her same dumb talking points: “With Prince Andrew, he’s such a good man. He’s a kind, good man, and I think the spotlight needs to come off of him and let him get on with his life to rebuild.” He could have used the past four years to quietly rebuild and devote himself to charity work, but instead he hired PR experts who “went on the attack” and threatened to sue his rape victim. So here we are.

Of course she was invited to the concert. There are lots of seats available.
Andrew is a child rapist. There is no rehabilitating that. Sometimes I wonder if Charles is doing performance art because no one can be this delusional.
@tacky amazing, IF only this was
all performance or conceptual art!! However we seem to live in such an era of absurdity with the BRF being up there in the front runners of absurdity.
Who is climbing over themselves to see Fergie? They really are scraping the bottom of the barrel in desperation.
Her comments about Andrew and how he should be able to get on with his life to rebuild are gross and entirely inappropriate. Much like him. They should have to pay for harboring his pedophile ass forever.
I’m weirdly fascinated by these accounts of who is NOT invited to the coronation. Aristos with coaches, the Mountbatten descendants, Fergie… they’re just like us! 🤣
Sarah, Sarah Sarah!!! Duchess of York, Queen of reputation rehabilitation. Sarah has done many questionable things in her adult life as the Duchess of York and has managed to rebound at this stage in her life as the endearing grandmother and quirky mother to Eugenie and Beatrice. Her memoir criticizing royal life, her errors of judgment (toe sucking photos with a paramour in the presence of her children) and kickbacks from shady figures utilizing her connections to the royal family seem to have vanished in the minds and hearts of the media in Britain and the US. She is now seen as the authority of the moral high ground where the royals are concerned….the propaganda. All in an attempt by the royals and their sycophants to elevate Andrew. 🤮 British excellence? Is it The Monarchy, The Royal Family (with Andrew being wholly embraced) with the pomp and pageantry? Hmmm 🤔 … That’s what as a foreigner I see them marketing to the world as British Excellence to promote their tourism….what a farce….not a good look in my opinion but maybe there are many out there globally who will embrace what they’re selling and go out and purchase the goods.
Fergie makes it sound like Andrew has to “rebuild” his life because something tragic happened to him and he is showing great courage in the face of adversity. No, he (his mother, brother) had to pay a large settlement to a woman he sexually abused when she was a girl at the home of his friend, Jeffrey Epstein. And everyone knows about it. No broom will sweep that under the rug, even for the Royals.
If you have to say “It really is” at the end of a statement to convince someone you’re telling the truth, you’re lying.
Every time I see that line-up, I just can’t. The UK has held an outsized dominance in pop music for the last 50-60 years yet Charles has to have two Americans headline his concert? And two Americans that aren’t, um, that high-profile. I’m an enormous fan of Lionel Richie, far more than my friends think I should be, and even I thought, “yikes” when I heard he was the first “big name” act booked for this concert. Like this has the serious whiff of a state fair concert line-up. Or the weird free concerts put on by lame radio stations. I do love this for Charles though.
She wants pedrew elevated so they can remarry and she can swan about. She doesn’t want to marry an outcast. Maybe pedrew should be in counseling and doing true charitable work if he wants to be rehabilitated!
She knows Andrew is never going to remarry her. Andrew’s a paedophile. The arrangement she has now is the best of both worlds.
She’s a nice person – does it matter that she’s made mistakes?
Ummm, yeah it does, seeing as she continues to make them over and over again.
I also don’t think she’s a nice person. Everyone in the UK should know that the Press will use anything they can to bash the Sussexes. By using language associated with Sussexit (in or out) she is purposely invoking drama about the Sussexes, and she knows it.
How is Andrew a good man if he’s been accused being involved in the sex trafficking and exploitation of women and girls?
He’s a nasty little sex trafficker and she’s the ex wife of one. NO, he cannot be rehabilitated in publicity opinion. He should have been out making restitution and doing what he PROMISED TO DO in his settlement. He promised to work with victims of trafficking and all he HAS worked on is holding onto Royal lodge and swanning around asif nothing has changed. But the worst thing, the really worst thing, is that the twerp king let’s him. What message is this sending to people? I will tell you, the message is, that Andrew knows where the skeletons are buried and Is willing to dig them up.
Fergie needs to be quiet. Go to the concert and just BE QUIET, do you really think people have forgotten all that you have done, so please, don’t try and defend Andrew to us
C&C have done an “exceptional job at unifying the family.”? Seriously? I wonder if part of courting Fergie is to court Eugenie. They probably see any event Eugenie attends as being some sort of win over H&M. So, basically, the RF stance is you can hang out with all sorts of vile people who have committed horrendous crimes, sell access to the RF, and even slag off on the RF if you are Mike Tindall or Sophie. What you can’t do is get out from under their thumb and live an independent life where you aren’t under their control and subservient to their every wish. That is the real “problem” with H&M. That and being more popular. Because you can do any interviews, etc. if you are certain people.
Seriously, Sarah doesn’t understand humiliation does she? A normal person rebuffed from a major ceremony and thrown a dog-bone singalong would feel humiliated. She feels grateful. Hide like a rhinoceros that one.
I just wonder why Andrew never saw the need to kill Fergie. Why did she survive? Is it because he was not heir to be king? If he were heir, would Fergie be dead today and Diana still alive?
This is BP’s attempt to bury this sentence:
The paper also reports that Prince Andrew will attend the concert as the king continues his attempts to rehabilitate the prince, who settled a multimillion-dollar sex abuse case brought against him by a victim of Jeffrey Epstein last year.
Wave Sarah Ferguson in the wind, to distract from Chuck doing the most to rehabilitate his pedophile brother, while he ignores his son, his son’s wife, and his grandchildren.
