Dolly Parton would have had plastic surgery at Heidi Montag’s age

Country legend Dolly Parton was interviewed on Access Hollywood yesterday. When asked what she thought of 23 year-old reality star Heidi Montag’s extensive plastic surgery, she said with typical frankness “I’d probably have done it at that age. If I could afford it and thought I’d needed it.” It’s obvious that Parton has had a lot of work done on her face (she told Oprah in 2003 “If I have one more facelift, I’ll have a beard!”) but I always assumed her famous boobs were hers. She was blessed with large natural boobs but she also had a lift as well as implants and she’ll tell you about it.

“When you saw somebody like a Heidi Montag, at the age of 23, getting ten procedures in one day, did you ever think, ‘Oh my gosh! This is hitting the girls way too young?’” Shaun asked.

“Oh, I would have probably done it when I was that age if I could have afforded it and thought I needed it,” Dolly said.

There was no judgment coming from Dolly who is as open as it gets when it comes to going under the knife.

“I think that’s one of the things that people like about you, is that you are so honest about everything,” Shaun said.

“Well, people want to know,” Dolly said. “If you ask me about it, I’d rather tell you…. I’d rather you think I had plastic surgery than to think I was a liar.”…

“Who will play Dolly in the big screen version?” Shaun asked.

“I don’t know that yet,” Dolly said. “We’re kind of looking, but we need to go back to that plastic surgery thing. We’ll have to get a girl that can get her a really big ol’ boob job won’t we now?!”

Dolly is awesome, but she’s 64 and she does look kind of freakish. Honestly I thought she was older because she has that plastic surgery mask that automatically ages a person. There are ways to get plastic surgery and look refreshed without looking entirely fake, but Parton loves her over-the-top look and she’s sticking with it. Dolly is promoting a new memorabilia store in Nashville called “Dolly Parton’s Trinkets And Treasures.” There were plenty of people at the grand opening dressed up like her, and she joked that “I’m easy to do. Cheap wig, cheap bra, push up bra… And lots of makeup.”

My brother once dressed in drag in front of my grade school as Dolly-dueting with his buddy Kenny Rogers singing Islands in the Stream. Love Dolly-she’s an icon, would be hard for someone to play her in a flick.

She had naturally HUGE perky boobs when she was younger, but then she got older and had a lot of work done on them to keep them big and pointing straight ahead.

And her face…good lord, that face. She ruined that truly beautiful face of hers. It makes me so sad.

    Love. Her. So. Much.

I love trinkets and figurines! I would totally go in there and easily spend $300 on a bunch of ‘old lady things’ I dont need! Especially if Dolly’s hocking ’em!

  6. Shawna says:

Yeah, she really was a cutie. But she knew her biz success required her to be a certain kind of Southern trashy, and she did anything to maintain that appearance. If you want a fun afternoon, read her autobiography: it’s hilarious.

  7. You know, I admire her honesty. I also love the fact that she doesn’t make excuses. I wonder if she would look better without the help, but would she have been the Dolly we all know and laugh with?

  8. gg says:

eech she’s starting to look like Courtney Love.

I just love Dolly – always have! If this were anyone else, I’d say “Yuck!” But somehow it is OK because it’s DOLLY! She’s is one of a kind! 🙂

Kristen Chenoweth could play Dolly. She’s funny, tiny, and can sing.

#4, I am with you. Love. Her. Too!!!
I live about 50 miles from the county in TN that Dolly called home as a poor child. What that woman has DONE!! She has given a once impoverished area a beautiful hospital, state of the art, employment opportunities for 1000’s, a free book program for every baby once a month till they are 5 yrs old. I could go on and on. Dolly looks like Dolly and she is loved and respected. Like all good Tennesseans, she calls it like she sees it.

  13. KLaw says:

Kristen Chenowith is an excellent choice!

I met her some years back and she is the most genuine, kind hearted, lovely person ever. No pretention, great sense of humour, very quick witted, what a gorgeous person she is.

  15. ViktoryGin says:

I don’t mind the plastic surgery as much on Dolly because it’s balanced by the fact that she’s smart, business savvy, and pragmatic….qualities Montag and many other plastic surgery casualties lack.

  16. mags says:

yeah i think her beauty comes from the inside. no matter how much plastic surgery she does to her outsides, she’s a beautiful person on the inside and that’s what shines through.
    love her!!!

Love her! Will definitely have to visit her store the next time I’m in Nashville. Thanks for the heads up. 🙂

  18. Scout says:

Just saw her on Fox and Friends talking about the 25th anniversary celebration of Dollywood. She looks WAY better on TV than in these photos. Just love her! So unpretentious!

  19. Mikunda says:

I looked her up on wikipedia and I am totally in awe! This is one extraordinary woman we are talking about, who has done an enormous amount of charity, not to mention all the rest of the things… So what if she wants to look like she wants to look like. It doesn’t matter. What matters is what she’s done and how.
