Nicole Kidman ‘looking ahead to a busy & exciting year’ amid claims about her ex

Last year, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban suddenly split. What surprised everyone was that it appeared as if Keith decided he was over the marriage. He reportedly moved out last spring or summer, and he was allegedly dating a much-younger woman in Nashville, although the woman denied any romantic relationship. Well, Keith and Nicole’s divorce has been finalized and it looks like their daughters have really taken Nicole’s side, often appearing alongside their mom at events and in paparazzi photos. Over the weekend, the Mail had a big exclusive about all of that, and how Keith has moved on with yet another much-younger woman. The Mail named the woman: “country music star Karley Scott Collins.” Soon after, Collins got on her social media to deny any relationship with Keith, calling the story “ridiculous and untrue.”

So, I don’t know what’s going on – last year, I totally believed that Keith sped up the separation announcement because he was getting antsy with a side-chick. I also believe that Keith is probably dating right now and that his girlfriend is probably much younger. But I also think the tabloids have consistently jumped the gun by naming random women who aren’t actually the side chicks or girlfriends. Who knows? Well, every time there’s speculation of Keith’s midlife crisis/Saturn Return, Nicole reminds everyone that she’s booked, busy and happy:

Nicole Kidman is looking ahead to a busy new year with optimism after putting her divorce with Keith Urban behind her.

“Nicole spends a lot of time with her girls. She loves family time,” a source tells PEOPLE of daughters Sunday, 17, and Faith, 15, whom Kidman co-parents with Urban.

After spending the holidays in Australia, the Oscar winner, 58, is back in Nashville with her daughters, the source adds. “She is refreshed and optimistic about the new year,” says the source. “They’re all settling back in to their routine. Things have been calm.”

“She’s looking ahead to a busy and exciting year professionally too, with several projects coming up,” the source adds.

That busy year includes the September release of her long-awaited sequel to her 1998 movie with Sandra Bullock, Practical Magic. Kidman will be all over TV screens as well: She’s got Prime Video’s Scarpetta with Jamie Lee Curtis, Apple TV’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles with Elle Fanning, and Season 3 of Paramount+’s Lioness with Zoe Saldaña. The producer-actress is also planning series adaptations of Girls and Their Horses and Discretion, plus an eventual third season of Big Little Lies.

I can’t believe they’re finally making the Scarpetta books into a series starring Nicole as Kay Scarpetta. It will definitely be interesting. As for the rest of it… sure, I think Nicole is totally over Keith and she’s moving on completely. Faith and Sunday are teenagers and they’ll soon be out of the house, so Nicole probably wants to just enjoy this time. Much like Jennifer Lopez’s single era, I don’t see Nicole jumping into another major relationship or marriage any time soon.

Just here to say that those curls are giving me life.

Totally think Keith was cheating near the end as totally agree she’s probably half his age.

Much as I think Nicole is a great actress, having a hard time picturing her as Kay Scarpetta. I’ve read most of the books until they got way too dark and depressing for my taste.

Same, so well written but I had to stop doing that to myself!

She and Jamie Lee Curtis are producing the series. Always makes me happy to see women at the wheel. But I do think Nicole doesn’t need to be in every movie, whether she’s suited for the part or not.

I do think Keith was cheating but it wasn’t as exciting when Nicole dumped him. It’s lonely out there on the road.

Apparently, Keith also had a reality show where he auditioned people to go on tour with him. It apparently aired just last fall, but I am definitely not the audience for that, so I missed it completely.

But my point is, that means he filed for divorce right before that series was going to come out. Why do that? The only thing that makes sense to me is he was worried about getting ahead of something that came out from the show, but as far as I know, nothing did?
