Ejae was stunning in formfitting Swarovski at the 2026 Met Gala

Venus Williams
I heard commentary on E! last night that Ejae has brought so many unique looks to her press and awards tour (she now has a Grammy, a Golden Globe and an Oscar!) that you’re always surprised. It’s true and she was a stunner in custom Swarovski. Her elaborate and flawless hair really brought the look home. She said that she is representing Korean culture and E! described her look as “inspired by female courtesans of the Joseon dynasty.” That lasted from 1392 to 1897 according to Wiki.

Venus Williams was also in Swarovski, in a look that referenced her own portrait, Robert Pruitt’s “Venus Williams, Double Portrait”. I just looked that up and they really nailed it. She served (pun intended)!

Irina Shayk was an early arrival in Alexander Wang. Her body is amazing. She’s wearing watches and I’ve read that this is supposed to be evocative of surrealist art like Dali.

Elizabeth Debicki was in Vera Wang, in a white gown with a black side train. She was supposed to look like a Grecian goddess and it worked! Her styling is spot on for that.

Egae is gorgeous and the dress is incredibly beautiful.

Ejae was my stepdaughter’s favorite of the night. I’m OBESSED with her hair!

Venus referencing a portrait of herself is such an amazing flex. That’s just badass.

I think this is the best thing she’s ever worn. Audrey is the avant garde one where EJAE tends to play it pretty safe. But she definitely knew the assignment here and slayyyed.

Agree. I’ve returned to look through all of the gowns again, and I think this dress, plus Cara Delevingne’s make up and gown from the reverse, were the two most jaw-droppingly beautiful looks of the night. I would rank Zoe Kravitz next for the make up and for Saint Laurent – my favourite house.
