King Charles’ aides follow ‘risk management protocol’ whenever Prince Harry visits

Prince Harry has seen his father twice since King Charles’ 2023 coronation. I don’t even think Harry even spoke to Charles at the coronation, incidentally. But Harry flew to London to see his dad in February 2024, and then they saw each other last September, when Charles had Harry over for tea. The February 2024 meeting was rushed, and Queen Camilla threw a multi-day tantrum about whether she was there or whether she was kicked out of the room (I still don’t know). Camilla was not present last September though – it was just Charles and Harry, speaking to each other face-to-face. Charles’ viper courtiers immediately began spreading misinformation about the meeting too, and Harry called them out publicly. I bring all of this up because royalists are calling these interferences “risk management.”

King Charles III’s palace aides follow a strict risk management protocol whenever Prince Harry pays his father a visit, according to royal insider Kinsey Schofield.

“The King’s private secretaries are also known to remain on standby, ready to step in if a conversation becomes uncomfortable or a difficult request is made, ending the meeting by reminding the King that his next engagement requires additional travel time and that he needs to leave,” Schofield told Page Six.

“During meetings, a housemaid or butler serving tea may intentionally linger rather than immediately leave the room,” she explained. “It is the King and his courtiers who have carefully strategized how to engage with Prince Harry, often ensuring there are subtle witnesses in the room.”

This protocol has allegedly been evolving for years and dates back to before the late Queen Elizabeth II died in September 2022. “Palace aides or trusted friends were often present during meetings and on phone calls, both as witnesses and to provide support if needed,” she claimed of the late monarch’s protocol. Schofield explained that royal staffers handle Harry’s visits from a “risk management” perspective.

“Buckingham Palace now approaches every interaction with Prince Harry through the lens of protecting the institution rather than preserving the relationship,” she claimed. “That might sound sad to some, but from the Palace’s perspective, the pattern of the last several years has left them believing that many of Harry’s decisions have ultimately served his own interests rather than the family’s. Whether that’s fair or not, it’s the reality informing how they now manage these relationships.”

Schofield also reacted to reports that Queen Camilla wanted to be in the room with her husband during his upcoming meeting with Harry. “My understanding is that Queen Camilla has little appetite for engaging with Harry and Meghan. She will support the King whenever he asks, but she sees no value in revisiting old grievances,” Schofield said.

We’re told there is allegedly a belief “within royal circles” that interactions with Harry and Markle have often been followed by “public disclosures or competing narratives,” which has made trust “incredibly difficult to rebuild.”

“Past experience has taught the Palace to approach any proposed meeting with caution,” Schofield said. The King also allegedly knows how to avoid certain conversations with his son.

“Charles has demonstrated that he’s willing to keep his distance when conversations become centered on money or contentious family issues,” Schofield said. “The idea that he needs Queen Camilla to shield him from his youngest son simply doesn’t fit with the decisions he’s made over the past several years.”

[From Page Six]

Conversations with Harry and Meghan are followed by “public disclosures or competing narratives?” Public disclosures like Camilla calling up her media allies to bitch about Harry after Charles was diagnosed with cancer? Public disclosures like Charles’ people revealing that Harry gave him a framed photo of the kids last September? It’s not risk management as much as it’s courtiers and “royal sources” lying their asses off and gossiping about the Sussexes constantly, and then Harry and Meghan not allowing those lies to stand. It’s been six-plus years of the institution freaking out every single day that they can’t control the Sussexes or what they might reveal. That’s what is pissing off Charles and William currently about the Sussexes’ UK visit too – the fact that Harry’s spokesperson can come out give on-the-record statements about how the Windsors are playing dangerous and stupid games.

Camilla shielded him from his first wife. Which worked to her advantage She needs to mind her own business. Charles is a loser

  2. Nope says:

Let’s not forget that Camilla had a small brunch with Piers Morgan, Jeremy Clarkson, Dame Maggie just ONE DAY before Jeremy Clarkson released his most gnarly diatribe against Meghan (about being pelted by shit and worse than Rose West (UK female serial killer).

Obviously, they sat around that brunch talking terribly about Meghan/Harry. Clarkson knew he had full approval of Camilla to say that stuff.

“Buckingham Palace now approaches every interaction with Prince Harry through the lens of protecting the institution rather than preserving the relationship,”
After all of this “One year to go” situation plays out, Harry needs to go no contact with most of his family.

  4. Jais says:

So Charles is such a weak baby that he has to have staff interfere to prevent uncomfortable conversation. He can’t even handle a difficult conversation? Dear god. How pathetic.

    • Blubb says:

No he can’t handle a difficult conversation. Which was big trouble when he was confronted with a difficult young wife. He left her alone and ignored her and didn’t talk to her. Horror to a young isolated bride.

  5. GMHQ says:

Schofield is nobody and has absolutely no inside contacts. Just shows how desperate the tabs are to generate content no matter how meaningless and how desperate the palace is that they have to stoop to her to give expert insight.

  6. Eurydice says:

Whatever. At this point, Charles no longer has a spot in Harry’s plans. Now Harry can concentrate on what he does best – supporting his charities and making his visits to veterans and children wonderful events.

  7. India says:

I’m sitting here thinking if anyone in the royal family (pre-MS) has (or had) any redeeming qualities. Princess Diana and Harry are all I can think of…

Good people can’t survive in that environment.

  8. GDUBSLADY says:

An institution like the British royal family doesn’t survive a 1000 years without having family on both sides of coming wars or revolution. H&M represent the latest interation of this.

  9. Hypocrisy says:

God that all sounded absolutely horrible and another black mark on the rotten soul that belongs to Chuck.

  10. Magdalena says:

Isn’t this “royal insider” another white woman who suddenly became obsessed with royal matters and “protocol” when Harry became engaged to Meghan, despite not knowing a damn thing more than the ordinary public, and who for years, had an altered copy of the pair’s engagement photograph with HER (Schofield’s) face SUPERIMPOSED OVER MEGHAN’S on Twitter??? She should shut up and go hide in a corner. These jealous white women have NO shame whatsoever. None.

  11. Amy Bee says:

What does Kinsey Schofield now about this? She’s just a royal stan from Arizona who wished that Harry had married her instead of Meghan.

  12. Blithe says:

“…palace aides follow a strict risk management protocol whenever Prince Harry pays his father a visit….” It probably took longer to write the Page Six article than the amount of time — that can be counted in minutes — that Harry has spent visiting with Charles during the last few years. What an odd, much ado about very little, article for an American publication to put out there.

Reading this reminded me of that lovely picture of Meghan, Harry, and newborn baby Archie, with his grandmother Doria, Prince Philip, and Queen Elizabeth. No Charles. And, not surprisingly, no Camilla. I’m applauding Harry’s ability to grow to become an openly caring adult— despite the odds being stacked very much against him.
