Was Lady Gaga banned from Yankees clubhouse after her latest antics?

On Friday, Lady Gaga attended a Yankees game wearing just a bra, panties, fishnets and an open Yankees jersey. As Kaiser reported, it was her second headline-grabbing attendance at a game in two weeks. The last time, she also wore a bra and panties to a Mets game and made out with a female friend, repeatedly flipping off the cameras. The NY Post claimed that after her latest antics Gaga was banned from the Yankees clubhouse, where she somehow gained admittance by charming the security guards. Officials deny that she was banned, but admit that she shouldn’t have been there. It sounds like someone got in deep trouble for letting her in. Meanwhile the Mets are going to try and use the publicity from Gaga’s appearance for a promotional campaign.

Give Lady Gaga credit: She gotten a lot of PR from both New York baseball teams. Her visits to Citi Field and Yankee Stadium haven’t been smooth, but her Madonna-esque attempts to extend her 15 minutes of fame are working: You’re still reading about her now.

Inspired by her one-finger salute to fans and team officials at Citi Field during a June 10 doubleheader, the Mets will mock her Wednesday night, when they launch “Go Gaga for Wright,” a campaign to help third baseman David Wright get elected to the All-Star Game.

The first 20,000 fans at the game against the Tigers will get a blue over-sized foam finger – the index finger, not the middle one – emblazoned with “Make Wright #1.”

As for the Bronx? While diamond-studded bikini night won’t appear on the promotional schedule anytime soon, Lady Gaga has not been prohibited in the Bomber clubhouse, despite a report Sunday saying she had been banned following her controversial visit after Friday’s 4-0 loss to the Mets.”She’s not banned,” GM Brian Cashman told the Daily News Sunday.

Though clubhouse insiders said Lady Gaga “enjoyed the refreshments” or described her as “lit,” Robinson Cano said “she was nice.” Her attire for the backstage visit reportedly included fishnet stockings, a thong and a loose-fitting Yankees jersey.

Her visit – which included a large security contingent – also prevented reporters from getting in or out of the clubhouse.

The Yankees said they didn’t take issue with anything Lady Gaga did, but Cashman said the decision to let that happen after a loss was terrible.

“There is a time for things like that and that wasn’t it. After a loss is the wrong time,” said Cashman. “Where a security detail prevents the media covering the game from doing its job, that is wrong. This has nothing to do with her. … It has to do with a decision made upstairs to let her in and allow this to happen. She did nothing wrong. … The problem is internal and it’s been handled.”

Cashman said no member of the Yankee organization had been fired over the incident.

An MLB official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak about the issue, said: “Just because someone is a celebrity doesn’t mean they get a credential that authorizes them to the clubhouse. I am sure there are exceptions. … She never had permission to enter either clubhouse.”

In addition to being ticked that someone authorized her visit without showing good judgment and without running the decision past superiors, the Yankees weren’t pleased that players who’d just lost a third straight game would be so eager to mingle with a celebrity.

This woman is an expert at promoting herself, but she’s pretty much crossed over into totally inappropriate attention-seeking behavior with these latest stunts. After she showed up at her sister’s graduation wearing a see-through lace jumpsuit and giant black hat with a widow’s veil I realized that there’s nothing she won’t do to earn some headlines. It’s a shame because I like Gaga and generally find her intelligent and interesting in interviews. It’s one thing to eat rosary beads and wear a cross on your barely-covered crotch in a music video and completely different to grope yourself while half-dressed and sloppily drunk at a baseball game. Americans may tolerate the kind of “blasphemous” provocative moves that Madonna first popularized but you do not mess with baseball, especially in New York.

Scantily clad in a lace bra, panties and Yankees jersey, Lady GaGa attended the Mets Vs. Yankees game in New York City, New York on June 18, 2010. After a long European tour, GaGa seems to be thoroughly enjoying some much needed downtime! Fame Pictures, Inc

she’s acting like a complete idiot, I really don’t get it. She’s a great musician and artist, but I feel like she tries too hard sometimes to “shock”, that it doesn’t achieve shock and just makes her look like a fool.

CB, I agree. 🙁 I like Gaga, but that graduation getup really upset me. My son just graduated and I couldn’t believe she did that to her own sister. What a bitch.

When I saw what she wore to the Yankees game, it was sad that the first thing I thought was that at least she didn’t wear some weird-ass gigantic maribou-feather hat thing. She looked almost normal, for her.

Would it kill her to put some damn pants on? I’ve seen her in pants once, and even then, the jeans had the fly down.

  3. Lauren says:

I like her music but as a person, I think shes obsessed with the attention. I can’t believe she was even let into the stadium dressed like that. That’s just trashy and highly inappropriate. This act of hers is getting really old.

  4. kelbear says:

Really?!?! She really wore that to the yankees game? We know she wants us all to bow down to her like she is the queen but would it hurt to throw on jeans a tee just like the rest of us when watching a bseball game.

  5. gg says:

Come on Gaga – to quote her dad: YOU’RE SCREWIN UP, KID.

  6. connie says:

like gaga the performer but as a person i find her annoying. going out looking like an asshole at a baseball game isn’t creative or artsy. And those glasses! she has a nice figure, but chick is not so cute

  7. Kimberly says:

” … but you do not mess with baseball, especially in New York. ”

Truer words could not have been spoken . I adore Lady Gaga but damn .

  8. Heather says:

Where are the authorities at?? If I left my house wearing nothing but a bra, panties, fishnets, and heels – I would be arrested for indecent exposure – yet this person parades around the world in next to nothing!! Madonna at least knows when to wear clothing and leaves the costumes to performances. If BlaBla thinks this is ART – then art is dead!!!

  9. jover says:

Hopefully this will be the start of her decline into obscurity. Her music, as everyone knows, is recycled dance pop (Madonnna,Grace Jones, Kyle M. Dale Bozzio,Bowie, etc. etc.) and without the incessant videos she would be just another club performer. When the next cd is the same as Fame and Fame Monster then we will know she is done.

  10. Cari says:

How do you ever get the cojones to ever go out like that in public? And also to do that to her sister at her graduation? That’s just not cool.

Ditto the others: like her music, but she’s starting to get old in the shock department.

  11. denise says:

Hell, if I saw that in my dressing room/clubroom I’d be terrified. I wish she would just go away and take Miley, Beyonce, and all these other entertainers with her.

  12. denise says:

P.S. I don’t get the Asian lady next to her. What is she doing there? lol! Awkward.

  13. Bonnie says:

My friend heard on the radio that tickets for her concert went on sale not too long ago. Nothing new there. Except the concert was for next year. I think she did that on purpose because by next year she will be a nobody yet people will have to go the concert or lose money. Not that I ever like her but why not act like you are going to be around and not just a one-hit wonder?

  14. juiceinla says:

@heather- exactamundo. Here is my official “Caca” thought of the day- when she wears those sunglasses, she reminds me of Sting in the Wrapped around your finger video…. Maybe she’s moved on from copying Madonna and is going to make her way through 1908’s musical Icons. I can;t wait until she does Musical Youth.

    Pass the dutchie.

  15. LisaMarie says:

I agree with Snowball. I liked her right up until the graduation thing. Raining on her sister’s parade like that was completely classless. Even Gaga should be able to live without all attention on her for one evening.

  16. greekfrk says:

    How do you spell ‘famewhore’?

  17. jane16 says:

Don’t like her voice, her “music”, her videos, now I really can’t stand her as a person. That being said, I think she has severe psych issues and really should be seeing a shrink. There are a lot of outrageous performers, who funk it up when doing their job, but switch to normal for normal life activities. She seems incapable of making the switch. Either that or she’s just a really obnoxious, utterly selfish human being who thinks everything has to be about her.

Baseball games have a l w a y s been family events. There’s a time and place for everything. The fact that she can’t respect that is why I can no longer stand her.

  18. jane16 says:

I really think its time that celebs are held to the same standards and laws as the rest of us.

  19. denise says:

    Agree with Jane16

  20. Missfit says:

I agree with Heather and Jane16.

  21. gg says:

    lol @ juiceinla – … on the left-hand side … 😆

  22. mojoman says:

The first time I realized who this chick is was at the American Idol performance doing that “poker face” song (really, seriously I never knew who she was before that!) and that’s when it dawned on me POP music is dead..
