Lindsay Lohan turns herself in after showing up late to the courthouse (updates)

Lindsay Lohan just turned herself in! She was late, of course. I’m sure she would have blamed the traffic, but TMZ notes that Lindsay didn’t leave her home until 8:24 a.m. PST, leaving only six minutes to make her appearance before the judge. Stupid crackhead.

The hearing or process of turning herself in only lasted a few minutes, and basically the only news coming out of it was: that Lindsay has to enroll in rehab immediately after jail, leaving barely any time after jail to party. Secondly, Lindsay looked really rough, and she rolled her eyes several times when the judge spoke. Third and final: press were not allowed to photograph Lindsay in handcuffs. DAMN. According to TMZ’s sources, Lindsay took being handcuffed “like a champ.”

Dina went with Lindsay, and Michael arrived before them. Shawn Chapman Holley represented Lindsay for this too – poor Shawn. You know she’s going to be drinking margaritas for the rest of the day.

I managed to get some screen-caps of the hearing, courtesy of TMZ’s live feed. There’s some idiot outside the court house yelling “FREE LINDSAY!!!” Moron. I’ll update is anything else interesting happens.

UPDATE: Here are a few more photos of Lindsay arriving at the courthouse. Look at her shoes! She’s insane.

UPDATE #2: Lindsay is now in jail. A spokesperson for the LA County Sheriff’s office says, “Everything is going smoothly.” YAY!

the fact that she rolled her eyes at all is indicative of the fact that she STILL just. doesn’t. get. it.

    entitled little crackie.

  2. Jackson says:

Good. And I thought no extensions were allowed in there? I guess not. It sucks that the judge ordered cameras to shut off for the cuffing. Why was that? Would ‘Lindsay Smith’ get that same treatment? I don’t think so. Enjoy your strip search, crackhead.

  3. lew says:

I was wondering where your post was!!!
I like that the judge is making her report after Jail “sooner than later” to probation and there is no undoing, no magical release which I’m sure White Oprah thought would happen.
Can’t believe no pics of her in cuffs..BS!! Plus she had such a pissy look on her annoyed face..

  4. Ashley says:

too bad she’ll be released in like twelve hours…there is no justice

  5. frenchie says:

Now we have 90 days free of Lindsay’s drama… maybe ?

  6. bellaluna says:

I’m not surprised she showed up late; I’m surprised she showed up AT ALL. Shock! Bye-bye, you milkaholic!

@ lew – She had serious bitch-face going on, didn’t she?

  7. meme says:

Let’s see if she spends more than a day in the pokey.

  8. hanh says:

Yeah I would have loved it if the judge slapped more time onto her sentence. I certainly would for contempt of court. Lilo really does need some discipline to kick her spoiled ass into gear. Her parents were obviously crappy in that area so someone needs to be a good parent and discipline her.

  9. Ogechi says:

‘she rolled her eyes several times when the judge spoke’

Obviously suffering from bad home training.

  10. Jazz says:

She should do the full sentence. She still won’t be doing the time that RDJ did, no one in Hollywood ever does. And I’m sure they left the cameras on for him to be handcuffed. You can expect her idiot parents to be doing press conferences and interviews as we type!

It’s her own damn fault she ended up in there anyway, so no sympathy. I’ll save my sympathy for people who actually deserve it. All she had to do was a few damn alcohol classes!

  11. andrea says:

the look on her face – she is so the victim in her mind. can you even imagine the “im basically nelson mandela” crap she’s going to spew when she gets out? girlfriend has totally killed whatever brain cells she had.

  12. Kimberly says:

It really takes all the fun out of not being able to watch Lindsay get slapped with those handcuffs .

  13. MeMyself says:

I think I must have watched too many LA Law shows way back when, ’cause I thought a judge could slap more time on for poor attitude and whatnot…

  14. LOVE ANGELINA says:

Ugh I bet LL was annoyed to see her stupid father. I would have been. Ugh. I hope at the end of this she comes out a better woman. She really needs this. She was very rude in court. I am wishing her the best. I just can’t kick someone when they are down.

  15. caitlinsmommy says:

I am dissappointed that there are no cuff shots.

  16. Crash2GO2 says:

    Buh-bye Lindsay!

  17. Leek says:

I doubt it will last long so let’s all enjoy our break!

  18. flourpot says:

I wonder if her lips will be back to normal size when she gets out.

  19. YT says:

It is hard to believe she was so calm, though with major attitude. Maybe she is in shock because Shapiro read her the riot act, followed by much of the same from Holley.

Shawn Chapman Holley actually had another case going, and she had to make arrangements for a delay on that one to take care of Lindsay. Wish I were in L.A. so I could buy a few Margaritas for her.

Now we have to listen to all the speculation on how long she will actually be in jail.

  20. truthSF says:

UGH, Lisa Bloom is just as much of Media Whoring attorney as her mom, Gloria (iwantsomeattentionplease) A.

  21. Persistent Cat says:

@Jackson, to be fair, photographers wouldn’t be at “Lindsay Smith’s” hearing.

She’s probably incredibly high which is why she’s likely calm. And not allowing her to be photographed in cuffs is allowing her to keep her dignity. I believe the courts are in some way obligated or encouraged to do that.

  22. jokerjim says:

I am surprised she went off. When the wait is over most of the nerves dissipate.
I am no fan of her or her attitude, but you have to believe that with proper parenting, she would have had her azz kicked years ago and straightened out. Her “parents” should be proud of the mess they have created, their youngest will be worse with their guiding.
I have been in jail and it is not fun, yet, it is not what is perceived on the outside. Mind your business and it is mostly a big waste of time and boring. It is cold, the food stinks and there is nothing but time to sit and think. I have been in 24/7 lockup, too. NOT fun, extremely stressing on the mind the first couple of days. If she is truly relegated to those conditions, she will be a much different person when she gets out. The first couple of days will be bad, if she is truly claustrophobic, then she will not enjoy it and end up in the mental health ward. That is NOT a good place, legitimately crazed people are there.
I do wish her well when she gets out, hopefully she learns that she is not better than anyone else.

  23. lucy2 says:

I’m guessing the judge banned the photos to prevent a swarm, not to save Lindsay the embarrassment.

I cannot believe she was rolling her eyes at the judge in court, especially after showing up late. They should have slapped on another month to her sentence.
That’s why I don’t think anything will be any different after jail and rehab – it’s not just the addiction, it’s her basic personality.

  24. hellen says:

“It is hard to believe she was so calm, though with major attitude.”

Drugs. Just wait till the horse tranquilizer wears off.

  25. OXA says:

Local news confirmed she is at the Lynwood facility and later today we can expect a booking photo.
Pretty soon Lyndsay can expect her cavity search.

  26. mollination says:

Holy cow – I thought that was a picture of Dina! Yikes!

The truth is, if she stays in jail for more than 20 days, she’ll probably look better when she comes out (even without a blowdryer, etc.). Her skin looks like it could use a vacay from crack.

P.S. She should have gone back to her natural hair-color. That would have been good.

  27. Jazz says:

@truthSF – I agree! Lisa Bloom is turning into an ambulance chasing vulture, just like her mother.

  28. Praise St. Angie! says:

“it’s not just the addiction, it’s her basic personality.”

that’s a HUGE part of her problem, I agree. she’s been enabled for so long, by her family/”friends” and people she’s worked for (and the COURTS!!!) that she truly thinks she can do no wrong.

  29. Jackson says:

“And not allowing her to be photographed in cuffs is allowing her to keep her dignity.”

Way, waaaay too late for that.

  30. LP says:

  31. kelbear says:

After at least 20 days in the slammer, Lindsay will come out looking much better with a more fresh face I am sure. Her roots will look a little rough though. When Paris got out of jail, I thought she looked better too.

  32. Tia C says:

Of course she was late, and of course she was disrespectful in the court room. Would we really expect anything more from Lilo, the model citizen?

If I were her I would’ve dyed my hair back to the natural color and had the extensions removed before going in there. She is going to have some serious roots and the extensions are going to be nasty by the time she gets out. She is just a dumb little bratty kid.

  33. gg says:

Looks like she had a last minute lip shot and some bleach to make her hair whiter.

I don’t think she’s going to be able to get away with rolling the eyes in rehab, and the jail guards won’t love it either. Stop the rolling, it makes you look about 13 years old.

  34. YT says:

LP, it is Lindsay who craves the attention. If she gets bad press for bad actions followed by bad comments, it is her choice.

  35. andrea says:

i realize this is captain obvious, but…godDAMN she looks like hell! the *skin*, wtf, the white-lemon yellow hair, smudgy week-old makeup, frankenstein shoes, wax lips, NOT CUTE.

  36. Jeri says:

    Cue Beyonce: Sing “At Last.”

  37. Zelda says:

    I love her boots.
Not so much the back brace.

  38. Lady Jane says:

    She looks bloated. Not pretty.

  39. I was going to say that maybe she would learn a lesson BUT then I remembered that Paris did a stint there and she has been busted traveling internationally with weed twice lately. No, lessons don’t really sink in – I guess all the bleach and weave glue gets too thick!

  40. irena NL says:

Doubt this will change her. She just refuses to get it. The best thing would be if we were “Lindsay free” in the tabs news for the next month. Hurts the eyes to look at hideous faces – her mother and father’s included.

  41. always curious says:

Was someone throwing cake at that guy behind her?

  42. melinda says:

Is she wearing a back brace?

  43. Obvious says:

I’m still thinking our favorite judge should take whatever time she doens’t serve in jail and tack it on to her rehab stay.

  44. elaine says:

    @ Melinda

Yeah, that’s what I first wondered – Is duck lips wearing a lumbar corset? Like the ones worn by the employee’s at Home Depot?

  45. Gail says:

Wow. I honestly didn’t think this would happen. I was sure there would be some last minute drama. I know she won’t be there long, but the fact that she will actually be there… Wow.

  46. Riley says:

Those shoes must be leftovers from when Shoehans went bust.

  47. Miss says:

Whoa! In that full length side profile shot she looks exactly like her mother. Its hard to believe she is in her early twenties sometimes.

  48. Wendyrama says:

Wow. Looks like she want to make absolutely sure she would be somebody’s ‘prized bitch’ with those freshly plumped lips.

  49. Ellie says:

so she’s not even spending 1/3 of her time in jail? that’s…good for her?

did anyone see the video of someone throwing confetti on her as she walked by the photogs? best.thing.ever!

  50. Maggie Grace says:

She’s getting fat. Detest the shoes.

  51. kelbear says:

@always curious, someone through confetti/glitter at her when she was walking in

  52. Tia C says:

Can’t help but wonder how long it will take her lips to deflate in jail…

  53. pookie says:

Man, I would love to see Drew Barrymore mentor this girl back to sanity! It’s unfortunate, she has parents more concerned about making money off their kids than loving them, has been thrust into a fast and loose lifestyle from a very early age, and has fallen because of it all. She got wrapped up with a bunch of vampires who just wanted a piece of her, she has no self-esteem or pride, and it makes her an easy target for these vultures (her family included). What would anyone expect her to turn out like? It’s becoming very prevalent too. Little Hollywood kids being left to raise themselves, surrounded by all the money and vices you could possibly want, and the public is *shocked* when they grow up into self-indulgent aholes. I hope she gets a clue, humility, and finds a path in life. She’ll end up dead before 30 if she keeps on this road.

  54. sassy says:

when lindsay finally looks herself in the mirror and realizes that she herself, alone put her in these circumstances, she will have a very powerful moment, because hopefully she will realize that she has the power to lead her life and face consequences, good and bad for her choices. I hope this day comes soon, because surely she is tired of blaming everyone else for her circumstances and feeling like she has no control of her life. Taking responsibility for your choices is very positive and powerful.

  55. judyjudy says:

I wonder if she realizes that she won’t be able to touch up those fresh blonde roots while she’s in jail.

  56. simplicity says:

    24 and looks like 40.

    And the silence is golden.

  57. Me1st says:

sassy, she won’t do that because everyone keeps telling her that she isn’t wrong/delusional
just look at how she showed up at court. heels, hair did and new lips. why would you need all that for 23 hours to yourself????????

  58. Ice Bunny says:

What a smug little snot punk she is. Don’t you just want to SLAP her? The bad part is the more attention she gets, the more delusional she gets, because she translates that to fame and glory in her crack head. AND the more money she gets (post jail interviews, etc.), the more the cycle continues. It angers me that she is still being considered for any films at all. I won’t be patronizing them, that’s for sure. Figures it’s for playing a porn star. Sadly, this just all means more of the spotlight for her, so more blow. I am so happy she is being shamed in front of millions of people right now though. Somewhere in the farthest darkest reaches of her cracked out mind, that has to occur to her. I totally agree Kaiser. She IS insane. And LOL to Dina. Way to parent! What a family of losers.

  59. Lindsay says:

Persistent Cat- Unless “Lindsay Smith” was infamous for a highly publicized crime. Example: Scott Peterson, The Runaway Bride. Even Micheal Jackson and Paris Hilton were photographed in handcuffs.

Why should the court care about respecting her dignity when she doesn’t respect her own or the court’s? The people I feel bad for are the one arrested in front of their children or paraded in front of the media before they are tried and convicted.

Lets see how long the cooperation lasts…

But I do have new respect for Shapiro. I’m glad he didn’t let her get away with breaking the rules because of who she is. She shouldn’t be allowed to interfere with the people there genuinely trying to turn their lives around or interrupt the progress of others so the facility can indulge her every whim and continue to feed her massive ego.

In the new US Weekly a source says (paraphrasing) she is still complaining how unfair it is but secretly loving the attention. I’m sure that is true. But the thing I found funniest was they were talking about how she is spending her time before jail – including learning to paint. Predictably she is just painting self portraits. The line stating she was experimenting with colors to get the “perfect color of her tan” made me laugh. She shouldn’t be looking for the color tan, she should be trying to find the right mix of dirty and orange. Although her skin looks pretty good, for her, in these photos.

  60. TXCinderella says:

Aren’t those the boots she stole from Tough As Nails?

  61. Lindsay says:

TXCinderella, I don’t know. When did that happen? (I’m suprised she hasn’t been brought up on theft charges before or fraud if her financial situation is as bad as people say.)

Either way those boots kind of look like open toe orthopedic walking casts to me; due to the bulkiness and lack of shape, along with the odd camouflaged wedge. 🙂

I think if it was your last outfit you get to pick for yourself for a while you would go for comfy or really cute. For sure really cute if you know the pictures would be everywhere for a while. What would y’all pick? What about your last choice of dinner for a while?

  62. Lindsay says:

In the link you posted it says: “After Lohan surrendered, her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley told reporters that the actress “is asking for your prayers and support. She has stepped up and accepted responsibility.”

She didn’t accept responsibility, she was forced to go to jail. She never owned up to it or said I should be there I broke the law. She fought and bitched and threw a fit and didn’t get her way. That is in no way commendable. Come on didn’t she put you through enough? Don’t lie to try and make her sound better. You tried to quit on her;, leave it up to her mom to lie a turn this into a story of persecution by the court system and heroics on her daughter’s part!

  63. Johnthing says:

Will her lips hold up to an orange jumpsuit? Or will she wear stripes in LA?

  64. Jeri says:

Question: Does this disobedience & jail time extend her probation or is that done once she completes jail & rehab?

  65. Chris says:

I heard she spent the past few days watching episodes of Oz to help get herself into character. Apparently she’s drawing inspiration from Simon Adebisi.

  66. Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

I kind of wonder what (if circumstances allowed and we suspended logic) Judge Judy would say to her? Skin-tight jeans in court?

Have you ever seen her lawyer look so happy? They should have made ‘Free Holley’ T-shirts.

  67. DoMaJoReMc says:

God only KNOWS what she is hiding in those clod-hoppers on her feet…….

  68. Jeri says:

She must be being paid to wear all those ugly boots. Why hide the SCRAM when everyone knows it is there. Sounds like product placement, Lohan style.

  69. Raven says:

I don’t think this is going to be long enough. Robert Downey Jr. needed prison time to get himself turned around. Lindsay is talented, but we’ll never see that if she continues to get high and screw up.

  70. Confuzzle says:

She looks like she’s got coke bloat going on.

  71. CB Rawks says:

That’s absolutely the ugliest hair colour she could have gone with! And it’s going to look so classy in two weeks time.

  72. CB Rawks says:

Are they still trying to make “Shoe-han” happen? That could explain those fukokda boots.
