High Res photos from Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s wedding

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were married in a candlelit Catholic ceremony in Sydney on Sunday:

The all-candlelight ceremony took place just after sundown Sunday night at Sydney, Australia’s Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel on St. Patrick’s Estate at Manly.

Guests at the black-tie event included Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts and Rupert Murdoch.

Kidman’s wedding party consisted of her sister Antonia, who was her maid of honor, and daughter Isabella, 13, who was her bridesmaid. Antonia’s daughter, Lucia, was a flower girl. On the groom’s side were Urban’s brother Shane, who served as best man, and longtime buddy Marlon Holden, who produced Urban’s first solo album in 1991.

Kidman wore a dress by Nicolas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga. Her father, Antony, walked her down the aisle under the dramatic glow of a spotlight. She kept her veil on throughout the ceremony, only lifting it when it came time to say the (very traditional) vows.

Nicole cried all the way to the church in the car and then she cried all during the ceremony and had to wipe her eyes under the veil,” a guest tells PEOPLE. “It was the most emotional and beautiful ceremony. Nicole looked ethereal with her veil floating, like a vision in white. … Keith cried when he looked at her.

“It was so intense,” the guest says. “When her veil was lifted, he moved right in and he grabbed her and kissed her. It was a long, passionate kiss. (Then) everything went from being quiet and elegant and intense to really loud, like we were suddenly at a soccer game. There was screaming and hollering and such excitement.

“But when Nicole and Keith looked at each other it was like they were the only two people in the room. They are so deeply in love. It was the most incredible wedding.”

In lieu of gifts, guests were asked to donate to the Sydney Children’s Hospital.

Both Jackman and Crowded House’s Neil Finn performed at the reception, which had a “passion” theme and red color scheme – including red carnations hanging from huge chandeliers and red roses on the tables.

Either the rumors were untrue or Keith decided at the last minute not to perform at the reception, because it was said that he was planning to serenade Nicole.

It sounds lovely and quite romantic. Best wishes to Keith and Nicole.

Here are pictures from the wedding, including a high-res version of the official wedding photo and one high-res of Nicole in the car outside the wedding [via]. The other wedding photos are medium-sized. The other high-res photos are of Nicole on the day before the wedding outside her parents’ house.

She looked nice though a bit over-botoxed. I have a personal thing against one shoulder gowns and this one looks nice to me only from the sleeve side. I like the veil and the rest of it though. She must have worn flats too. LOL
Anyway.. I hope they’re happy but I’m a little surprised how much publicity-hugry Nicole is–she not only went to Sydney where she’s like royality, so she knew she’d be mobbed, but even took the unprecedented step of announcing her wedding in the press. Not to mention dragging her kids straight from the airport (after they arrived from Tokyo where Cruise is doing his MI3 promotion) to a hospital (ostensibly to visit cancer victims–more press coverage). I used to LOVE Nicole but she got weirder and weirder with botox and unsuitable men like Lenny Kravitz.. I don’t know what to think about her anymore. I doubt the marriage will last, but I hope she has a baby with him since she really, really wants it and stops the botox injections. That would do her a lot of good. Urban is such a non-entity to me and he has a bad record as far as addictions and groupies, I would be shocked if this actually works out for them.

Her face does look very weird, and I think she started using Botox – or at least I noticed it – during promotion for the “Bewitched” movie. Her lips also look filled out and very Rinna-ish. She looks like a beautiful bride though and I do like the dress. It’s interesting how her wedding portrait was posed so that you didn’t get a clear look at her stomach. I didn’t cover that story that she visited sick kids, although that was nice of her. I’m trying not to cram 10 stories into one any more. Lenny Kravitz is not a good match for her, but he was pretty hot before he started dressing like an Olsen twin, and I wouldn’t have minded dating him. I don’t know Urban at all except for his bad past as you mentioned. Maybe if I was a C&W fan I would have more insight into his character. He doesn’t seem totally into this marriage, but I could be influenced by your opinion on it.

and I’m influenced by what I read on the internet about him and his odd behavior leading to the wedding. I saw other pix of her though (from the day before the wedding) and her tummy looked perfectly flat on them. I just think that Nicole would be much better off with an older, established guy (maybe a widower or someone divorced) and not an actor or a musician. She seems very insecure and fragile and would benefit from being with someone who’d just concentrate on her and making her happy. Those famous guys are notoriously vain and need constant attention. But then it’s just me speculating, who knows what she really needs.
