Earlier today, I saw these photos of Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen leaving a screening together a few nights ago. I didn’t really think anything of it, other than “Oh, I bet they’re working together or something.” I’m ashamed to admit it didn’t even occur to me that they could be hooking up. But that is a distinct possibility, according to Lainey at LaineyGossip. Lainey has a behind-the-scenes account of their hardcore flirtations at an after-party, and basically, I think it’s on.
Rachel McAdams showed up at the Beautiful Boy (starring Michael Sheen and Mario Bello) screening on Sunday night and at the film’s afterparty at Cheval. SO pretty. Loose blonde hair in waves around her face, great tight black dress with an exposed zipper running all the way down the back – she has an amazing ass – and stacked black heels, hot.
Michael Sheen was there already. I saw her walk up to the rooftop patio. She spent a few minutes talking to randoms, and shortly after Sheen had joined her. To me it was like they were being introduced. He’s an actor, she’s an actor, she watches his movie, they meet, they chit chat, he goes back to his people, she hangs out with hers, the end.
But then they went to sit together on a couch and kept talking and not talking to anyone else. And then together they went over to the bar to talk some more. On the way they ran into others, and talked to those others together, and after getting more drinks they went back to their couch and kept talking and new others came and went while they continued to not be apart.
And that’s not usually just a friend thing. That’s a thing thing. By the time I left, they’d been together like that for over an hour. So of course I asked around. Heard from a couple of sources yesterday that it’s early days in the courtship but they’re definitely checking each other out. Cute, right?

They’re both single, from what I know. Michael used to be married to Kate Beckinsale, and they share custody of their daughter Lily. Michael is 41 years old – Rachel is 31 years old. So the age difference isn’t as wide as you’d think, and, hey, they’re both very talented actors who generally fly under the radar. So, here’s the question: Is this just a film festival hookup (hot), or is it a potential relationship? They could be a very actorly power-couple, a Canadian-Welsh New Hot Couple. We’ll see.

Michael Sheen looks like Mr. Bean. Just looking at them physically, I do not think this is a good match. Rachel is so pretty. Rachel cannot have Ryan back. He is mine now. Hee.
A ten year gap isn’t a small one, but from 31 to 41 (or 51 to 41) it isn’t a big deal. They are prob closer to each other in terms of stages of their lives. Not age difference-stage difference.

Personally I think she’d be incredibly lucky to land Michael Sheen. He may not be conventionally good-looking but he is amazingly talented and seems like a genuinely lovely, intelligent guy to boot.
I love both of them. And I can’t believe she’s the same age as I am. I liked it better when I thought she was much younger because now it means I just look old.
The real question is what in GD hell is woman next to her wearing? It looks like it only has one sleeve and the way it’s laying, it’s creating these really weird bumps.

As it happens, no, he’s not single – last my stalkery self heard. He’s been going out with a ballerina for years, although he has said that they have no plans to marry.
Bodhi – seriously, check him out, he’s one of the best actors around! I would start with something like “Heartlands” (made by the same director as East is East) or the Underworld series. (or The Queen/ Frost-Nixon – avoid The Damned United, it’s fiction based on real events)
I have to say though, I’m not a huge fan of him doing biopics. He tends towards caricature occasionally, but with him, the devil is always in the detail – it’s the quiet moments, a fleeting look or expression where he just nails it.

Michael Sheen is incredibly talented! Twilight cameo aside, he’s one of the best male actors around right now. Don’t knock him 🙂

My boyfriend is 30 and I am 22. I believe we have both grown separately in our individual experiences and can come together to bring forth the best of what we have learned.
What matters most is physical and psychological compatibility.
LOVE him! LOVE her! What an incredible couple, if true. He is one of the finest actors I’ve seen recently as is she. The only downside for him is that he was once attached to Kate Beckinsale. She showed her true character when she left her husband for the director of a film they each starred in – nice. I’ve read, too, that he’s in a long-term relationship with a ballerina…stay tuned!

Interesting pairing, if they even are. As for his looks, he’s not exactly the Beast is he? He’s average looking but there’s nothing wrong with average and his talent is way above, which once you get to know him I’d say probably elevates his looks.
She reminds me of Elisabeth Shue in these pics. Reminiscent of the movie Coctail. I think it’s the hair.

I completely disagree about her current appearance. I think blonde completely washes her out and she looks much better with her natural, darker hair color….and the dress, perhaps just a bad picture, but it doesn’t do much for her figure other than detract from it….I’m a big fan of hers, but don’t love the current look.

Kate Beckinsale and Michael Sheen have a daughter together, her name is Lily. They were together when Underworld started and Kate ran off with the director Len something or other during the filming.
As for Rachel McAdams with Sheen, good for her. He is cute (that is a bad photo) a good actor and everyone says lovely things about him. She also seems like a cool girl so they would be a nice couple together.

He and Kate B. were never married. Their daughter was born in 1999 and they did Underworld in 2003. I think she talked about having both of them around and how she and her daughter love the relationship they all have together.

He and Rachel both seem like very friendly people, and they did a Woody Allen film together, so they were probably just catching up.
I am a looks-obsessed person who used to think Kate Beckingsale was mismatched with MS because he was unattractive (to me). Then I noticed the industry love he received for Frost/Nixon and caught him on 30 Rock where he was hysterical. Now I love him and could totally accept a “McSheen” pairing. Since many of you confirmed he’s already attached to someone else, my McSheen wish will go unrealized 🙁
@#23 Liz: 31 and 21 have very little in common, no matter the level of experience or personal maturity of the 21 year-old. It’s a fact. I guarantee you right now that even if you and your current love continue to grow in the same direction, you will NOT be the same woman at 32 that you are today. You will look back on 22 and think, “Wow, I really knew nothing of life.” I promise. That’s not condescending. It’s truth.
There are exceptions to every rule, but your odds of developing a healthy and long-lasting relationship with a man 10 years your senior or junior at those early stages in life are very slim.
There is a reason we think cougars and sugar daddies look stupid…it’s because such large disparities in age are problematic in many ways.
You have an 8 year age difference…not 10. At such a young age, those two years make a difference. It’s still a gap and a half, though, and I wish you nothing but the best. There is a almost 7-year gap in my own marriage, and we’ve managed with very few issues. See? I’m relating to you…not talking down. I was 25 (almost 26) and he was 19 when we began dating, and we still have a wonderful relationship ten years later. But there have been a few very serious blocks we had to muddle through directly-related to age disparity.
Don’t assume that one or two instances of success disprove a rule. They don’t. They’re called outliers. Most people with a decade between them should probably search elsewhere for companionship because those relationships WILL be troubled at some point or other. When people point these truths out…they’re not pointing a finger at your relationship or mine. They’re speaking the commonly-known truth.

@Karen. I was a huge fan of Beckinsale years ago, when she was still with Michael. I became a fan of his separately and a little later. Physically they now look quite mismatched, but back in the 90s she wasn’t quite the polished Hollywood siren she is today.
I think the attraction (other than the fact he’s utterly charming and talented) lay in the fact that he does seem very similar to her late father, Richard Beckinsale, who was a beloved actor who died when he was very young. He had a very sweet likeable eejit persona, which Michael can have in interviews in real life.
And Richard was an excellent actor in his own right, although he is known exclusively for his classic comedies – Porridge, Going Straight and Rising Damp.
I like her a lot. Not familiar with him but maybe they’s make a good couple. Under the radar couples don’t have to try so hard to impress everyone with their “great love.”

Have just noticed that Michael no longer states on his Twitter bio that he is ‘partner of Lorraine Stewart’ but it was still there yesterday so perhaps there is something to the rumour!
I love Rachel McAdmas and Ryan Gosling, I really hope they get back together. I personally think that Rachel is too pretty for Michael..does that make sense to anyone? Or maybe its just the picture. But you don’t make a movive like the Notebook and not end up together, it just doesn’t happen. PLEASE get back together. ah ok, I’m done ranting.
