Mothertrucker! Alexander Skarsgard was out last night with Kate “Smug-Face” Bosworth. So I guess all of those international reports – from Sweden to Star Magazine – about their demise as a couple were totally false. Allegedly, Kate had dumped Alex because she realized he wouldn’t marry her (or help her career). Other sources claimed that Alex had done the dumping because he came to the heady realization that Kate was just using him because she’s a famewhore. And he wanted to be used for his body, maybe? Hopefully. Anyway, we don’t have access to the photos, but you can see them at X17 here – Alex is even holding the door for Smug-Face. Oh, but there’s video too:Are they standing there waiting for their car? I love the way Alex struts. And I hate the way Smug-Face walks away from him – of course, she would say it’s because she doesn’t want to be photographed with him and they want their privacy, etc. But her face got extra smug when she was being photographed solo. That’s what she wanted.
Oh, and Kate also made news this week because she’s launched a jewelry site. You pay her and she picks out jewelry for you. Because she’s worse than Gwyneth. Truly. Oh, and she also got a job! Well, she had a job, in this film The Warrior’s Way:

@ Scarlett. Ok, I haven’t read any of her interviews, but whether or not she wants to get married and whether or not we hate her guts, doesn’t mean she deserves to be dumped. And there are several other women (Elisabetta for eg.) who have never even mentioned marriage, but we still pin that on her. I’m sorry, I’m just a little sensitive about this because I’m the one in my family who is the “poor dear” because my boyfriend and I have lived together for 8 years. I don’t want to or plan to marry, but everyone assumes he doesn’t want to marry me (and that I’m heart broken) or that there is something wrong with me why he won’t marry me.

I think the reason why there is such a hate on for Bosworth is that she looks like a fame whore. She seems only associates herself with people who can further her career, whether it be in films (Bloom, Skarsgard) or fashion (James Rousseau, Stella McCartney, Lagerfeld). Then there is the whole f*cking around with Chris Martin deal that got her booted from the McCartney/Paltrow/Hudson/Tyler circle. That doesn’t lend well to her public persona. Plus all the rumours that she was trying to split up Jim Sturgess & his long time gf on the set of 21. All that being said, everything is speculation but where there’s smoke, there’s fire and this chick is smoking bad.
As a fan of Alex (not to mention I’d drop my husband in a second for one night with Skars), if he’s happy then great, but she rubs me (and a lot of others) the wrong way.

Oh and famous people date other famous people ALL THE TIME. It’s not necessarily an indication of “famewhorism”, more due to the fact that they run in the same circles and have similar lifestyles. I don’t care about K Bosworth one way or the other but I get so annoyed with how certain celebs are demonized or idolized based on what people CHOOSE to believe about them. I mean, I know that’s celeb gossip in a nutshell but I just think it gets a little out of control sometimes.

They’re probably just fuck buddies who hook up whenever they are both in town, and because neither of them have met anyone else special they’d rather be with. I think if he were genuinely attracted to her, he would look happier/brighter being with her. Instead he looks sullen and scowling and they walk and stand with a lot of space between them. It’s usually her touching him to close the physical space/gap. He almost never reaches out to touch her. He walks away from her in that clip!! Lol if I were out with some guy and he walked away b/c he didn’t want to be seen with me, or viewed as being on a date with me, damn. It would pretty much be over. I’m amazed that she is okay with it. It kind of makes her look like he is using her, sort of treating her crappy, and she goes along with it. Almost like he resents being seen with her. I think that he’s sort of gay/bi, ambiguous, whatever. He keeps her around for company and sex, but not really happy or satisfied with his love life in general. He sort of has that European/aristocratic/upper class/intellectual-philosopher-fine arts-cultured air about him, so it probably isn’t easy for him to find just one partner who suits him. Unless she is ideal because she’s okay with him going off to do all his experimenting, introspection, self-discovery, new experience, homo erotic emotional bonding stuff, and with him dropping by whenever it suits him. Anyway, it definitely appears that he doesn’t want to be pinned down or publicly defined in relationship to her. That’s for sure.
