Angelina Jolie says that people hating on her makes her feel stronger

A couple weeks ago Angelina Jolie told the Daily Mail that she keeps guns in the house and that she would shoot anyone who tried to hurt her family. It’s a real concern for her as someone with small children who’s had a past break in and is followed by paparazzi wherever she goes. I chose not to cover that story, though, because a lot of you have expressed Angelina burnout and it really doesn’t matter what we say about her, or even if we’re writing about someone else – she incites a strange kind of a fanaticism among some who will rant about her on one hand while saying they don’t want to read anything about her. With a heated subject like guns it would have been worse.

There’s little avoiding her most recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, though. It’s so candid and open I was shaking my head in disbelief while I was reading it. She gets asked about the most controversial topics in her well-documented life and she answers without mincing words or using a long explanation that she’s not going to answer, as a lot of celebrities do to protect their privacy. She talks about her past, her family, and her relationship with Brad.

Angelina says that when people express strong dislike or admiration for her she takes it as a sign that she’s making the right decisions in life. There’s nothing she’s said in an interview that she regrets, and she says that she’s shared her past so that she can help others going through the same thing.

In many ways you’re a very polarizing figure. People either worship you or they can’t stand you. Have you thought about why that is?
I’d like to think it’s because I’m not neither here nor there in my life. I think anybody that makes a decision about where they stand is going to cause strong opinions about them. But I think that’s what you should be hoping for in life, so I take that as a very good sign. That some people support me and some people really don’t like me tells me that I’m making decisions and I’m standing strong for something I believe in. I’m making choices in life. And that’s the right thing to do.

Some people can’t reconcile your old persona, where you talked about knives and cutting, with your more recent identity as a mother and activist.
But again, it’s not that different. The reason I talked about going through certain pains or even cutting myself is that I was already out the other side. I knew there were people that do that โ€” and somehow are happy that somebody admitted they did and discussed how they got out of it. I don’t see the point of doing an interview unless you’re going to share the things you learn in life and the mistakes you make. So to admit that I’m extremely human and have done some dark things, I don’t think makes me unusual or unusually dark. I think it actually is the right thing to do and I’d like to think it’s the nice thing to do.

Is there anything you’ve said that you wish you hadn’t? Like all that business about wearing the vial of Billy Bob Thornton’s blood around your neck when you two were married?
No! It was never a vial anyway. It was like a flower press. It was like from a slight cut on your finger and you press your fingerprint in. It was kind of a sweet gesture. I thought it was kind of romantic! I still love him dearly and think the world of him and I’m proud to have been his wife for a time. I don’t believe in regrets. It’s a dangerous habit to get into โ€” it makes you pause in your life if you start thinking back and questioning yourself.

[From Entertainment Weekly]

Angelina also talked about her relationship with Brad, pregnancy sex, and how they spend time with their children:

You don’t think you’re kind?
I kind of like to debate. I like to get into fights.

Would you say you’re drawn to extremes?
I think so, yeah. We joke about that at home a lot, because we walk in different worlds together, Brad and I. We joke about the extremes of the things we’ll do.

Like what?
Well, certain things are private! But there’s a side of us that’s so mommy-daddy and then there’s a side of us that’s…very man and woman. I’ll leave it at that. We both like to ride motorcycles, we both like to fly planes, that’s the spirited side of us. Then the other side of us is very focused on silly mommy-daddy things. So I guess that’s extremes, but I just think of that as balance.

What would you say are the best and worst things about being pregnant?
t’s all just so nice. You just really can’t complain about anything as long as you know the babies are looking healthy. The only thing that’s hard for me now is with twins and having four kids, there’s a lot of the doctor saying ”Stop picking them up as much.” But we’ve worked out a system where Brad just lifts them to me every time they want to come up. I just don’t bend down. I’ll scream, ”Honey!” and he’ll come running and lift them up. Or they climb on chairs, so it’s not as big of a lift. So we’re trying to follow doctor’s orders, but I’m bending them a tiny bit.

I’ve heard people say it’s bad for the sex life.
No, I think it’s quite the opposite. It’s great for the sex life. It just makes you a lot more creative. So you have fun, and as a woman you’re just so round and full.

Pretty soon you’ll have six kids all under the age of 8. Have you thought about how you’re physically going to be able to handle that?

Well, we weren’t expecting twins! So it did shock us, and we jumped to six quickly. But we like a challenge. We really don’t know. His mom and dad are on standby to come out and help. And fortunately we can hire help if we need it, but we’re going to try as we usually do to balance it as well as we can. The only thing for us when a new child comes home is just balancing the others. Our real focus now is: How do we make sure that the babies’ coming is not upsetting to other kids and makes them feel included. They’re old enough to feel included to change diapers themselves, to feed bottles themselves, like if I pump into a bottle. We’re trying to find ways where it can be a fun group thing. But the hard thing is every single day trying to find time for each of them privately. ‘Cause that’s our big thing. With our eldest, we have that last half an hour at night; Shiloh tends to be the first up in the morning. Everybody gets special time so we can make sure we know where they’re at.

And Angelina revealed that Brad Pitt’s new lower back tattoo is just something she first drew on his back while they were in Davos at the World Economic Forum and that he had it made into a tattoo.

What’s the deal with Brad’s new tattoo?
I drew that. We went to Davos. It’s not that we were bored at the World Economic Forum, but one night we didn’t have anything to do, so I was drawing on his back.

So it’s not permanent?
It is. But I was just sketching.

On him?
On him, yeah.

And you thought, ”Let’s make it a tattoo”?

He just liked it! The picture everybody saw was kind of awkward, but it just lines up beautifully on his back, just enhances the part of the body I like.

So it doesn’t mean anything per se.
I mean, it’s meaningful in that it’s us making angles and shapes out of each other’s body, that kind of a thing.

Angelina will answer questions openly, and if you love or hate her for it, it doesn’t really matter to her. She’s still living her life and she’ll tell you about it.

    Love her

  2. WTF?!?! says:

Please stop inflicting your Angelina love on the public. Post a shrine to her in your home, but leave the site for other topics now. I have sensed no dent in your Angie postings, she’s on here practically daily, despite expressed “Angelina burnout” from your users.

  3. Mairead says:

Right lads, I’ve gotten the Tiger beer and sweet chilli crisps (chips) in for the latest round of festivities ๐Ÿ˜€

    Running Score… 1-all…. ooooOOOOOoooo ๐Ÿ˜†

  4. geronimo says:

Yeah, CB. You need to pull the reins in there on your Angelina love. Go dust your shrine. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Obviously, not suffering from Angelina love myself, I can be more objective and this is quite a decent interview. And much less contrived that other recent ones. Honestly can’t find much to be surprised by.

Pass me a Tiger please, Mairead.

  5. Celebitchy says:

Margaritas on me. I like them on the rocks with salt around the rim.

  6. Mairead says:

ROCK ON CB!! 8) But just in case the beer and spirits run low, would it be possible to have an order in on some Erdinger (weiss and dunkel for the adventurous- being in Germanyland and all?

Oh yeah – and you missed a spot on your shrine. See, I’d never let MY Altarlina get that messy ๐Ÿ˜›

EDIT – here’s your beer geronimo, you ould Bradellooper you ๐Ÿ˜‰

  7. Jody says:

WTF?!?!….wtf?!?! didn’t you read her introduction? There are other stories and topics that you can comment on- you chose this story. I love CB for that very reason, thumbnails– you don’t have to scroll through shitty stories and pictures if you don’t want to.

I thought it was a nice interview. Good call on the guns interview though, that thread would have been a mess.

I love all the booze talk, it’s like 9:30am in the morning where I am…good thing I did a little wake ‘n’ bake today ๐Ÿ˜‰

  8. Syko says:

Call me gullible, but I always find her interviews to be candid and honest, she seems to have a sense of humor, and I think I’d like her in real life. My hat’s certainly off to her for managing her very young, large family of diverse children so well. The kids all seem well behaved and happy, unlike many celebkids we could talk about.

Now I’m going to pop some popcorn and wait for the haters to show up.

  9. Indie says:

This is vintage Angelina. She is so unapologetic about her life and the choices she has made, even her mistakes she owns up to and that has made her the woman she is, that is why those of us that love her can’t get enough of her and those that hate her feel like pulling their hair out. She clearly does not care about her haters, reminds me of a quote I read somewhere “I would rather be hated for who I am than be loved for who I am not.” She is clearly comfortable in her own skin and is not afraid and hiding behind some publicist’s manufactured image of who they think the public will like.

As for blaming Celebitchy about posting on Angelina, sorry but you are not going to be able to avoid her for the rest of the year, what with the movie Wanted coming soon, the babies and then the Changeling, methinks Celebitchy is going to have to build more shrines even though she doesn’t come across as anything more than a blogger posting threads that garner hits for her site.

  10. geronimo says:

    Cheers, Mairead! ๐Ÿ˜€

@Syko, it’s true. If she were here, I think we’d probably be passing her one of Mairead’s beers or CB’s margaritas.

  11. Syko says:

Right, geronimo…not to mention pumping her for more details about that man/woman time with Brad. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

  12. Frenchie says:

Agree with Jody. It’s been days since an angelina story has been written

  13. wha? says:

I love it when people complain about a celeb and then take the time to write a comment on their thread.

if you don’t like it JUST SKIP IT! and if you’re looking for a jennifer aniston worship session go to femalefirst!

Don’t let the door hit you!

  14. WTF?!?! says:

Yeah, Jody, I read it and pointed out that it was contradicted by the flood of yawning Angelina stories. Not posting a single article doesn’t suddenly eradicate the dozens that have been of late.

Sounds like you need to lay of the booze until at LEAST noon.

And wha? You and Jody must be tippling together. Sounds like someone needs to expand her horizons beyond BP-AJ and JA. Did you know there’s a war going on in Iraq and faltering social services for Americans? No, I thought not.

  15. jennifer says:

i am with you cb,she is one fierce b`tch and i love her for that but it s true: people love her or hate her
p.s let me enjoy this post before conspiracy people start to post that she is faking her pregnancy or shiloh bday is not the real one ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

  16. Nikki says:

A wonderful aspect of CB is that one can simply click on the stories one wants to read about and ignore the rest. Please everyone, stop complaining about the Angie stories or any other stories that appear – stop trying to censor the blog. Just as with any other medium, seek out things you’re interested in and forget about the rest. There’s no reason CB or any other outlet should have to cease to cover stories simply because some people are “tired” of the subject. Carry on …

  17. Mairead says:

well Geronimo and Syko, I’d say there’s a few months to go yet before Anglie’ll be laying into the alcohol, especially if she’s expressing milk ๐Ÿ˜‰

But I do have some juices alcohol-free Erdinger in the fridge that people including Jody and Angie are welcome to.

But yeah, she generally seems likeable, but very very talkative and a bit gauche. Sounds like she’d suit us down to the ground ๐Ÿ˜†

  18. ... says:

Add me to those that can’t understand why people waste their time reading about celebs they so not like! There are celebs I find annoying, but if I see a post about them I just SCROLL by it. I am not going to write something rude about them or write how I am so sick of them. Anyways, I thought this was a really good interview and I love how no matter how many people hate Angelina it won’t change the fact that she seems very happy with her life.

  19. dragonfly says:

Angelina is one badass mammajamma. She always gives the best interviews.

  20. Bellatrix says:

As long as there are free drinks, any celebrity can be discussed (or almost), as far as I’m concerned.

Angelina’s badass in a good way. Six kids and still she’d like a beer and talk about sex.

I’m going out to get myself a bottle of wine for tonight. Thanks for the idea ๐Ÿ˜€

  21. Kaiser says:

God, I love Angie so much, and I love the people who pop popcorn and mix margaritas in anticipation of the haters.

    God bless us, everyone!

  22. Jody says:

Please don’t talk to me about world events when we’re on the same freaking CELEBRITY site. If I wanted to talk about the war and social issues all day, I’d find a military blogger.

Thanks for the juice offer Mairead, but pass the booze–it’s finally almost noon (11:20), and that’s good enough ๐Ÿ™‚

  23. duda says:

my goodness you guys, I didnt realize we were supposed to talk politics and world problems on a celeb gossip site..
    shame on all of us…
    Love Ang & crew.

CB can i get a margarita?
Ive got Jack and beer in the fridge if anyone wants anything!

  24. devilgirl says:

No comment. Can’t say anything good, say nothing at all. Bye!

  25. Jody says:

Besides, I think Indie made great point:
“she [CB] doesnโ€™t come across as anything more than a blogger posting threads that garner hits for her site.”

  26. Susan says:

Man, if Jennifer Anniston reads any of this it’s GOT to sting. Picturing Angie “sketching on Brad’s back”….ouch.

I’ve never really been an Angie fan — I think she’s pretty full of herself. There’s just something very pompous about the way she comes across.

I also don’t think she deserved that Oscar for Girl Interrupted. I don’t think she’s as great of an actress as Hollywood does.

  27. snappyfish says:

I love her. Always have, ever since I saw her in Gia. She is a fierce creature and should be admired for her philanthropy alone.

She loves her life, her family and is trying to make a difference in this world. how could anyone have a problem with that?

  28. Little Hutt says:

And what about the people who don’t care about her ๐Ÿ˜ฏ ? Does it make her feel stronger?

“Angelina says that when people express strong dislike or admiration for her she takes it as a sign that sheโ€™s making the right decisions in life.”
Now that’s just plain dumb. It has nothing to do with ‘right’, but with her strong personality and statements.

  29. Kaiser says:

And what about people who say they don’t care, yet troll around blogs dissing Angie? ๐Ÿ˜ก

  30. Syko says:

    ๐Ÿ˜† @ Kaiser.

You know, when I come on here, if the article is about someone I don’t care about, or don’t like, I just pass it by. Plenty of other things to read on the internet (not to mention plenty of things I should be doing here at work), you don’t have to read the blogs about the people you despise. You aren’t going to talk their fans into hating them, and you’re just wasting your time. Scroll on past them.

  31. Susan says:

I don’t have a problem with her “loving her life, her family, her Brad”. I just think she comes across as incredibly pompous.

She’s like one of those people who are always happy, happy, happy. I mean — does she ever complain about ANYTHING with herself? Not really. And, that’s not very realistic.

Makes her seem phony to me. ๐Ÿ™„

  32. countrybabe says:

I think that when celebrities say they don’t care if people like them or not. They seem to think that we are as dumb as they are to believe that. They are out here to sell their movies, which goes along with being liked. That’s why she’s doing these interviews.

  33. saintdevil says:

    @susan:
    Actually, she does.

She says she doesn’t see herself as sexy, but goofy.
And she says she doesn’t like being too thin, that it’s not a compliment when someone says she is.
There are other things I can’t remember right now.

But whenever she complains about anything about herself, all the haters just call her a hypocrite, she just can’t win.

I think she really has been happy for the last few years, and she sure has lots of things to be happy about.

  34. I choose me says:

I’d like a margarita or two myself. Love ya Angie! Say what you will she keeps things interesting. So do geronimo, Syko, Mairead and all the regular commenters. God I love this site! ๐Ÿ˜€

  35. Kaiser says:

@Susan – I’m sorry, that criticism of Angie is hilarious. “OMG, she doesn’t complain enough!!! Must google Aniston to hear a celebrity whine about their life!!!” ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

  36. Syko says:

There really are people who are always happy. I used to work by one girl like that and I thought she was fake at first, but came to learn she really was that nice and sweet and happy.

Angie has a lot to be happy about. Hunky man, cute healthy kids, decent career, plenty of money…maybe she IS always happy.

It’s a personal thing, though. I never see people on the blogs (and this is not the only one struck by Angie haters – I was on Celebrity Baby Scoop this morning, same thing, talking about what a “hippacrat” she is – which I think would have more credence if they would spell it right, hippacrat looks like a politician with a weight problem) complain about the phoniness of anyone but Angelina. And let’s face it, most people in show biz are phony to some extent, it’s their job to be.

Oh well. I’ve eaten all my popcorn and I’m leaving early today and have a few things to finish first…. outta here.

  37. Kaiser says:

@Syko — That’s it. I’m changing my name to Devil Hippacrat WTF ๐Ÿ™‚

  38. Devil Hippacrat WTF says:

I agree, Kaiser. Angie is awesome.

  39. Celebitchy says:

I had a couple margaritas last night, but it was at a chain Mexican place and they were pre-made and too sweet. There’s nothing like fresh made margaritas with limes you squeeze yourself. Our margaritas are all made to order.

  40. LiLi says:

    susan- AJ is human
of course she isn’t always happy
she lost her mother to a long battle of cancer
her interviews are great reads. keep em coming CB

  41. Jubilee says:

Angelina Jolie is an amazing woman. More power to her personal life and to her professional and humanitarian work.

  42. Kolby says:

I think it’s because I can’t have margaritas right now that I want one so damn much. I like ’em straight up & ice cold!

And you all already know I admire & respect Angelina. She’s one of those people I’d like to have lunch with.

  43. Cici says:

i think it’s totally reasonable that someone who hates a celeb would read a post about them. after all, if you hate something, you’re not exactly indifferent to it. and it makes sense that they would then go on to comment how loathesome they find said celeb. What is NOT reasonable is that they request the blogger stop posting about the celeb. At that point, yeah – don’t read it if you don’t care, WHICH YOU OBVIOUSLY DO.

  44. mamalicious says:

Sorry, arrived at the party a bit late. I’d love a fresh margarita if there’s one left. Cheers all round!
Rock on Ange – keep on adopting till ya drop

  45. Susan says:

Hard to debate anything with the Angeloonies!

I still say she’s pompous and a bit condascending. And, not deserving of an Oscar for that GI movie. But, whatever.

  46. someone says:

Every time that skank opens her mouth, she sounds more and more like a complete moron.

  47. Mairead says:

That’s a good point Cici. Sure very few of us here has a problem with someone disliking a celebrity they like, so long as the critiscism is not too outlandish, or takes it personally. If, say Susan (not picking on you, just using you as an example) thinks that Angie is pompous or overrated in Girl Interrupted, then that’s fair enough as far as I’m concerned – you can choose to agree or disagree.

Like, I cannot stand in any way Richard Gere (even more than Tommygirl!), but there’s no need to dream up reasons to be offended by him.

  48. jaded Envy says:

I’ve just celebrated my 5-year clean mark after surviving lung cancer and I can tell you in all honesty that I feel happy everyday. I totally believe some people do feel that way whether they survive something like cancer or not.

  49. Indie says:

LOL@Susan, it is hilarious that if you are not hating on Brad and Angie, you are a brangeloony and now if you show some love for Angie, you are Angelooney, that is a new one.

Susan if you could only let your hatred stop clouding your thoughts, maybe you will understand why she seems so happy all the time, it does not mean her life is perfect, so as one of the Angeloonies, let me school you- Angelina said after visiting Liberia and witnessing untold cruelty inflicted on children, men and women, maimed with their hands cut of with machete, on the flight home, she called her mother and cried for so long, it was a relief to know her family was okay and that she swore to herself that she will never complain about anything in her life again because she has seen suffering, and how gracious those people were even in their suffering that there is nothing for her to bicth about, that my friend is why she is happy and thankful with her lot in life because she has seen what it means to be without.

You do not have to like her, you might not like that she got the oscar, but there is nothing you can do about it, she is living her best life and there is nothing you can do about it, maybe you should expand your horizon and then maybe you might not mistake honesty for pomposity. You wish she could have said people not liking her hurts her feeling, that is never going to happen because her whole public personae have been about telling small minded people like you to go to hell.

  50. Susan says:

Indie — dang. Chill. You take all of this WAY too seriously….

  51. IMP says:

The only people who express positive feelings towards her, are paid to do so.

It’s called a PR team, and she’s got one great PR dream team.

If only she was good in acting as they are good in their job, she wouldn’t need all these publcicty stunts and putting her family and privacy on such a public display to garner attention.

  52. Codzilla says:

I got desperate and dipped into this bottle of margarita mix with the tequila already included that’s been in our fridge for years (literally). Yes, it’s as bland as it sounds. But it works.

  53. countrybabe says:

And who cares how great she feels about herself. She sounds very insecure. Maybe she doesn’t have any friends to talk too and has to speak like this in a magazine. And for the people who constantly want to bring Jen into this, I’m sure Jen is happy she doesn’t have 6 kids in a 3 three year unstable relationship.

  54. chamalla says:

Oh golly, where did I put my cheque?
Oh that’s right they NEVER sent me one and YET I still like her.

  58. Diva says:

    Lovin’ this thread.

    ๐Ÿ˜€

  59. Granger says:

I am loving the Angie love-in on this site!

Angelina is awesome. She’s energetic, feisty, opinionated and outspoken. But I think what I like most is how her strength and confidence frighten people. Some folks just don’t know how to take a woman with a voice.

    I wish I had a margarita! Guess a vodka-cranberry will have to do. ๐Ÿ˜€

  60. Lily says:

CB claims “Angelina will answer questions openly”, but she never talks about her many plastic surgeries and facial injections.

She always talks about things that she think will help her enhance a certain image like she used to talk about her sex life and now she is doing it again.

Nobody really asked her to volunteer that private information, as no one wanted to know about how she sleeps with BB Thornton or other sex partners she claimed to have.

CB goes on to say that “and if you love or hate her for it, it doesnโ€™t really matter to her.”

If it doesn’t matter to her, then why is she giving endless interviews and keeps talking about the most private things about her children, boyfriend and her sex life.

She sounds very rehearsed and repeats the theme of “thatโ€™s the right thing to do” at the end of each line.

There is nothing honest and open about it. It is a publicity campaign to promote her new movie.

Problem is, she got very little to offer as an actress, which is why no one watches her films.
The only thing she has gotten left to sell is her private life and showing her boobs.

She has practically made a career out of getting naked and selling her privacy to garner attention.

  61. Ran says:

Amen Lily! And for those of you who question the “haters” and why we read the posts… please keep in mind, some of us just love CB’s wry sense of humor and side comments.

Geez!! Does it have to turn into an ‘us vs. them’ thing every time. Let the haters hate and the lovers gush – it’s a gossip website for pity sake!

And kudos to Susan – shame on the rest of you for piling on her for expressing an opinion.

  62. paris herpes says:

She’s pretty open with her answers, and then not…

  63. Diamond Dog says:

    I absolutely agree with Lily.

For someone who is in the news EVERY DAY of course she’d want to do an interview and ‘share’ with us all some more. The person who’s always talking about the sex they’re having probably isn’t having that much at all. I think she is a fame whore. If all she’s got to report is how wonderful and very sexy her life is – please spare us and go fly into a warzone or something. Wait – but that would mean, yes, even more publicity.

  64. mamalicious says:

Mairead, I thinksh I’ve finishhhed the whyshky. Ish there any vodka leffft inn your kishen?
I spend some parts of the year in Sub-Saharan Africa, and I know some of the extreme horror that Ange has witnessed.
It makes you wake up to how unimportant other stuff can be. Her humanitarian work made her grow as a person, and maybe it rubbed off on Bradley. I think she’s sincere.
    *hic*
Where are thosh shweet chilli crishps?

  65. geronimo says:

Well that was all very civilized. Not one single mention of man-stealing or excess orphan-adopting, and only a half-hearted suggestion of Anniston-baiting. Just a mountain of empty bottles and probably a couple of missing shoes. Well done everyone!

  66. Fearless says:

I love her and she answered the questions asked.Good for her.

I wonder how other actors mange to do press without talking on and on about themselves. After all she is trying to promote the movies not herself. The only thing I ever get out of her interviews. Is A how self centered she is and B What a need hypocrite she is.

  68. Granger says:

Ummmm… I’ve never read an interview with an actor where s/he didn’t talk about him/herself. That’s what an interview is for!

Besides, Angelina can afford to talk “on and on” about herself and her family in a few interviews a year. Her humanitarian work and all the photos of/interviews with her about refugees and orphans say more than enough about her other big interests in life.

  69. Susan says:

It’s good to see there ARE some others on here who share my thoughts and can see through her so called “revealing interviews”. I also love how she always throws in little comments about her sex life with Brad. Geez. And, yes — it is so “telling” imho how she always adds that “it’s the right thing to do” at the end. Hence the way she comes across as soooooooo condascending. I’ve seen her in interviews and she comes across this way as well. She’s very smug.

Even the PRESS says how she’s got them right where she wants them. I think she’s a very smart woman who knows how to manipulate every situation to her own gain. Personal or business.

I know alot of people like her and I too think she is gorgeous. Albeit, not all that talented as an actress. But, I just don’t buy her “I’m so down to earth and really open” interviews.

I’ve also never been a huge JA fan. I never watched Friends – found it totally unrealistic — but that’s neither here nor there. I do think JA has great comedic timing and I’ve enjoyed a few of her movies. That one with Kevin Bacon she wsa really good in.

’til the next “revealing Angie interview”……Happy Friday! 8)

  70. Susan says:

VERY interesting info off Ted C’s gossip column — I couldn’t agree more…..

We can def sniff out the next celeb bro to join Christopher on a bitter book-writing revenge plot. Like James Haven, sibling to another ridiculously famous femme: A. Jolie. Jamie went from lip-lockinโ€™ his sis at the Oscars to being flung on top of the trash heap along with Angie exes Johnny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton. J.H. hasnโ€™t been seen with his celeb sis in quite some time, but he has been out and about with daddy Jon Voight. Now, A.J. has said sheโ€™s started to make amends with J.V., more as friends than father and daughter, but old wounds ainโ€™t healing fast, and we bet Jolie-hon ainโ€™t exactly thrilled her bro is spending some quality time with her failed father figure.

Sure, ya think Angie & Co. are so down-to-earth because they donate and volunteer like missionaries or martyrs, but these are the same spoiled celebs who spend stupid amounts of money on French villas and overpriced furniture their kids will eventually stain with Kool-Aid. Once you get too big for your britches, say buh-bye to all the little people, even your own fam. Jen Aniston spends more time with the Pitt clan than Brad does nowadays, as he, Angie and the kids jet from one country to another. Angie-kins better pick up a phone soon and give James a catch-up phone call, or sheโ€™ll be reading all about some incestuous kissing secrets in next yearโ€™s bestseller.

  71. Mairead says:

mamalicious – no voddie ๐Ÿ™ only cod-Kahula and flavoured Bailey’s

Actually, you know something, I’ve decided I want to hear every little detail about the botox (actually, it’s not too badly done; she can raise her eyebrows!) and surgeries. It’d be rivetting, like. ๐Ÿ˜†

Come on Angie – I KNOW you’ve had work done on your bunions and I demand to hear every little detail!!! ๐Ÿ˜ก

    ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜†

  72. meLLie says:

  73. Kaiser/Devil Hippacrat WTF says:

    Susan = Ted Casablanca

  74. Susan says:

LMAO — no, I’m not Ted. But, I like reading his column. ๐Ÿ˜†

  75. Kaiser/Devil Hippacrat WTF says:

Really, Susan? I can’t stand that bitch. I prefer the gossip here and at Lainey. But to each his/her own.

  76. Susan says:

Oh, it’s nowhere near as good as CB — what is Lainey???

  77. Little Hutt says:

Dear Kaiser, by saying I didn’t care, it did mean that I don’t hate her you know. I just don’t understand why people would waste time hating someone they don’t know.
It’s just that the title of the article made me laugh, I was refering to it.

  78. Kaiser/Devil Hippacrat WTF says:

    Susan- Try laineygossip.com
She’s a hoot. And her dirt usually turns out to be true.

  79. mollination says:

this IS madness! Look at all these comments!!! I must be the only person in the world who is unphased by this woman. I like some of her, I dislike some of what she says/does. I’m indifferent. This was a nice interview though, I respect what she said.

  80. Mairead says:

But what do they say about her bunions?

(hey if some of the more strident Antilinas can go on about stuff that happened 10 years ago, I’ll bang on about her bunion-operation ๐Ÿ˜› )

And by saying you don’t care about her, it makes her superpowers weaker. Yeah, Little Hutt and mollination, you’re her kyptonite you are!! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

  81. lola says:

    Angelina is the FAKENESS.

She had a wild life and glamourised it. Some kid out there copied her, took drugs had sex all over the place and is probably dead now.

She has a make believe life she tells the world. She says she is happy and her interviews show things are glowy, yet most of the time she looks gloomy, insecure and miserable. She lost so much weight and blamed it on her mother’s death, my foot, she is just a miserable fame whore with no friends to talk to so she decides to share with the whole world. no one wants to know about her sex positions when pregnant with twins EWWWWWWWWW

  82. lola says:

She says she likes a fight, not surprised since she has some passive aggression going on with Aniston. Trying to make look like a bad woman who refused to have kids with a douche of a husband. I think right from the start when she knew she was going to act Mr and Mrs Smith that she was going to steal that Pitt loser and go one to conquer the world.

  83. lola says:

The Brangeloonies are hard to deal with, they get harder by the day. And while she is candid, how come she has not talked about the IVF, if it was natural she would have yapped on and on about it. And her plastic surgery? Her stint in a mental asylum? Candid, my foot ๐Ÿ™„ Even when she says she is goofy, she wants to seem cutesy.

Rant over, feel much better ๐Ÿ˜†

  84. Mochimousie says:

For all her craziness, Angelina Jolie seems like the the one person on all of these posts that I would actually like to meet. Does that make me crazy, too?

Everyone hates this or that celeb. Keep posting about Ange, CB, she’s one of the reasons I obessively check this site every day ๐Ÿ™‚

As for everyone else… do what I do when I see a post about a celebrity I can’t stand… SKIP IT!

  85. Lunachick says:

Love her, and I love that she ackowledges the darker parts of her past, without regret.

I’ve been to some pretty dark places too, and find her an inspiration.

  86. Nan says:

Comments here were done well. I love this site. The blog and the comments. The people aren’t losers like on other sites where they post personal stuff back and forth to each other. I swear, it is like IMing on one of them. They stay on for hours on end. They aren’t even embarassed to be on day & night. It’s like a hobby to them. Trying to be the center of attention on a gossip blog!

  87. mamalicious says:

Nan, itsh becaush we have a big party while we posht! The crossfire between the haters and lovers are our entertainment on the Brange threads. And we don’t take any shit from Perez-victim-wankers whose biggest achievement is to post “first!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

  88. Mairead says:

N..noh.. *hic* notsh tat we’re lusheshesh or anythin’ like… ๐Ÿ˜†

Jaysis lola!! What took you so long???? I was about to send out a search-party and rescue you from the machinations of New Worldgelina Order … have a Pop Tart ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

  89. lola says:

LOL Mairead, I was off for a day. How could you and other loonies ruin a thread like this with booze.

Looks like Angelina likes us more than the loonies because we make her stronger ๐Ÿ˜†

  90. Miaow says:

She scratches on Brad and then the goofball makes that it into a real tattoo.

He’s probably the biggest brangiloonie of them all.

  91. Indie says:

LOL at susan quoting The queen, Ted C. I guess you haven’t noticed that he has not got one single story right about this couple, don’t forget his famous claim that Angie will dump Brad before Shiloh started to walk, I guess Shilo will have to wait to start walking with her twin sibling since clearly Angie has not dumped Brad, as for not being seen with his famous sister, well, there was a picture of Jamie and Doug Pitt together on stage for a charity gig last month.

I will take a crazy Angie any day over some pretentious, publicist manufactured personalities who are so afraid of their own shadows because they have sold their souls to be like by the masses.
Love her or hate her, Ms Jolie kicks ass.

  92. Leah says:

The reason that people want to interview celebrities is to find out more about *the celebrities*. Hence the reason you could accuse the majority of celebrities of being “all about themselves”. Yeah, it’s probably mostly true, because that’s what the Hollywood culture they live in is like. So… if people can bash Angelina over this, they can probably bash plenty of others that even they may like, too.

Anyway, I liked the interview. Sure she is kind of a weird character, but she did seem to be pretty candid and answer questions openly/honestly. And I thought it was admirable that she acknowledged her prior struggle with cutting.

And as someone else said, of the celebs blogged about on this blog [Denise Richards, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Brittany Spears]… I would say she [along with like, Keira Knightley] would be the one actually worth meeting.

    *shrug*

  93. Mairead says:

๐Ÿ˜ฏ ๐Ÿ˜ฏ ๐Ÿ˜ฏ ZOMGWTFLOLKTHKS lola!!!! By hating her and making her stronger and more powerful – you’re part of her plotting, plotting, plot for global domination! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

(as for the drinks – let’s think of the Brangelina threads as the gladatorial entertainment for the blogging generation, the drinks and snacks are just to keep our energies up 8) )

LOL @ Miaow’s comment – I’d love to have seen the tatoo artists expression when he was told to ink over the hen-scratchings. ๐Ÿ˜†
Mind you it was called by some of the other commentators here, but they thought it was the kiddies who did the scribbling.

  94. bobbiann1 says:

For thoswe of you who are ols enough to remember giant scandals, I can’t tell you how much she reminds me of te young Elizabeth Taylor. Elizabeth did exactly what she wanted to do -leave Mike Wilding, steal Mike Todd from Evelyn Keyes-steal Eddie Fiswher from Debbie Reynods and two kids- marry him then dump him for Richard Burton who also left his wife and 2 kids to marry LaLiz (twice) The difference being, Liz
was being Liz, selfcentered, selfish and headstrong, no mayyer who she hurt.
But she never tried to justify her behavioir until years later. Her behavior completly killed off her carefully orchestrated studio image. To love or hate Angie, is to lve or hate someone who is not really there. Interviews or not, who really knows her?
So, wasting emotion on an “image” is
counter-productive. By the way, Liz also adopted kids and sponsored charities.

  95. bobbiann1 says:

I am appalled by my typing and spelling im my blog. I just want all of you to know that I am not illiterate,
but that I do have two completely numb fingers and one that I ripped the nail
    off. My apologies.

  96. lola says:

Bobbian you have a valid point. But in this industry, every one falls. I imagine the glee, the popcorn, thr champagne when Beangelina finally split, when loser Pitt gets a new co stat. When he loses his mind and the kids are too much. When Mad and zee or Mad and Shi have an affair. This is going to go wrong, it is only a matter of time. Their careers are winding down, bankruptsy will kick in the rate at which they are spending. I will grit my teeth through these interviews, puke all over my sink every time I see her, but it will be worth it, like it was with Jenny from the block and Affleck boy. His career will never recover to the dizzying heights it could have reached. I can’t wait to see those spongy lips zipped forever. Oh and the Brangeloonies crashed. That will be fun. Watching a mighty heart crush at the box office gave me a kick like no other. For that I will hate and wait….. time, give it time. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

  97. broker says:

    angie is really so hot

  98. Kaiser/ Hippacrat says:

Lola, I know this may be totally off-limits on this blog, but have you ever thought about therapy? You take all of this WAY TOO SERIOUSLY.

And Affleck and J. Lo? Did anyone really care that much? Lola says: “I will grit my teeth through these interviews, puke all over my sink every time I see her, but it will be worth it, like it was with Jenny from the block and Affleck boy.”

Seriously? Who cared about Affleck and J.Lo beyond the hilarious train wreck that everyone saw/laughed at? And if news of Brange makes you barfy, perhaps you should maybe stop reading about them. Just a humble word of advice. I hate barfing, so I avoid things that make me barfy (gin, blue cheese).

  99. lola says:

Kaiser now who is taking this seriously? ๐Ÿ™„

Let me burf. Angelina prefers us who hate her because we make her stronger. She also likes a fight and we are giving it to her. She will die if we stopped. ๐Ÿ™

  100. Mairead says:

    ONE HUNDREDTH!!! ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜†

    (sorry couldn’t resist a little Perezism ๐Ÿ˜ณ )

Um, lola… mind if we ask you not to bring home-made snacks to the next bout Brangitorial Games? Between my hydrophobia *bite bite* and the dose of e-coli out of your sink, we’d have the place shut down in no time ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜†

  101. lola says:

Mairead, the joke has grown old ๐Ÿ˜•

It gets boring after sometime. As it were, it has been overworked on this thread already ๐Ÿ™„

  102. Alice M. Gregory says:

Here I go: Greg, respecter of Truth, Admiration for Love conquering Dislike/Hate — Drunk or Zany. Reading, occasionally the blogs, on the Jolie-Pitts, I’m always surprised by the anti’s, their often irrational views, based on lies and misinformation. Ms Jolie’s and Mr. Pitt’s faiiing careers? Non-successful box office re-ceipts? (Only The Mighty Heart, critically aclaimed but obviously, too accurate, too real for the banal of heart and mind) It wasn’t made to make $$, so quoted all involved. It was meant to be about the awful truth of our day but that love can still be acheived. Jolie botoxed, cosmetic surgery? Yes, a slight correction on her nose., admired for its sublety by cosmetic surgeons. Botox, indeed! Begin with papa Jon’s lips, then his daughter and then Shiloh! Oh, the vanity. Hello?
And to top it off, Ms Jolie, demanding attention for being a mom to her’s and Brad’s children? Wow, they had better stop bringing those kids out to book/art stores, museums, running from such uneducating places to the safety of their
transportation to their home! And look at those unhappy children. So unhealthy, without love or attention because there’s never a parent around. Oh. A working mother, too. Ever heard of before? Preening before cameras on the Red Carpet to advertise (part of the deal) upcoming movies. Well, none successful? – Those Awards by peers, etc. not withstanding? Ms Jolie without a press agent ever and now that scheming Brad none either. So publicity hungry they haven’t been seen in weeks, and the paps can’t intrude, the tabs use old pics and made-up stories. Shame. Yeah, then she fakes those trips for the UN, yet. You know, flying commercial, paying her own way, one camera to bring attention to the refugees, etc. plight. Like Paris Hilton, travelling with her boyfriend, handing out autographed pictures of herself. “I just want to help those poor children.” A right to criticize, of course. But based on non-knowledge, untruthful allegations, personal, tacky pronouncements against their looks, private lives, etc? How do you guys know about that, pray tell? Interviews and honest answers in only the reputable Vogue, Esquire? Jolie sleeping around with the likes of Billy Bob? Gawd, I hope so. Three years of marriage with out sex? I don’t think so. My rant must stop here at last, for your sakes and patience. Mia Culpa,

  103. Mairead says:

Meh. Anybody who’s bored of my posts can just scroll over them more quickly and not bother to read them.

  104. Nan says:

Sure, BoB. The difference is Liz is beautiful and fun to look at. She’s lady like, not tranny like, like Angelina. Ang is no Liz Taylor or Grace Kelly. The problem is Ang’s head and face are just so big. She should have been a man and her brother the girl. Sorry, you can’t be perfect with a big face like Ang has.

  105. Kaiser/ Hippacrat says:

Ah, the tranny argument. That old gem. ๐Ÿ™‚

  106. Adam Taylor says:

Everyone is always interested in what Brad and Angelina are doing, but I’m sure it gets a little crazy for them.
