The R. Kelly case was doomed from the start. Without the cooperation of the supposed 13 year-old victim (who undoubtedly was paid off by R. Kelly) it was very difficult for the prosecution to prove abuse. When questioned by the prosecutor as a hostile witness she repeatedly denied she was the girl in the video. She and her family are now living handsomely in a very large home, with a very large annuity. Sadly, here in Chicago, after six years of delays, the verdict was not a surprise. The case was ultimately a waste of vast taxpayer dollars.

It’s not a case of him being a celebrity or the jurors not knowing he did it. The prosecution could simply not prove their case to the standards the court requires for a guilty verdict.

It WAS him in the video and the child was so undeveloped, barely reached puberty and what he did to her was absolutely horrible.
