Right before a non-confirmed but much-reported rumor that Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo broke up for a week or so, Jessica was on the cover of Glamour magazine with a gushing accompanying article in which she called the quarterback her “future husband.” When Tony split up with Jessica, her stupid overshare along with her father’s meddling ways were said to be to blame.
The two reunited just in time to attend her sister’s goth wedding together, enabling her family to cash in on the photos. Now Simpson is talking yet again about what a great guy Tony is and how much she loves him. She says she’s been with him for seven months and while there are no “wedding bells yet” she sure loves the guy.
Jessica also says she’ll return to the stands when he goes back to play for the Dallas Cowboys this season. Many fans vilified her after her presence at a game happened to coincide with Romo’s worst performance of his career. When the Cowboys lost at the playoffs, it was easy to point the finger at little blabbermouth Jessica Simpson:
JESSICA SIMPSON has blasted rumours she has split up with boyfriend TONY ROMO,insisting they are still very much in love.
The pop star is baffled by recent claims their seven-month relationship is over – but admits wedding rumours are still a little premature.
She says of the American football star, “We have been together for seven months now. I don’t know about wedding bells, but I still love him and I’m still with him.”
And Simpson reveals she will be back in the stands when Romo’s team the Dallas Cowboys kick off the American football season in September (08) – despite a hostile reception from his fans, who claimed she jinxed his performances last time around.
She adds, “When the season comes around, I’m definitely going to be at the games.”

I wish her well and all, but she should really keep her mouth shut about how long they’ve been together and how much she loves him. She should also stay well away from his games. It wasn’t fair to blame her for the Cowboy’s poor season or for Tony’s bad performance when she was in the stands, but that doesn’t mean she should start going to the games again. She’ll only continue to make her boyfriend – and herself – easy targets.

Well, if she loves him she loves him. I don’t think what she said is much different from the usual Hollywood spiel about how in love and how secure a couple are. I’m tired of hearing it, but not just from her.
And as for going to his games, why shouldn’t she? He is (supposedly)her boyfriend,and who wouldn’t want to go and support their boyfriend?
Celebrities go on tour with their partners all time (Jennifer Aniston and her douche, for example), and Eva always goes to Tony’s games– so why shouldn’t Jessica? Romo’s fans need to come to terms with the fact that he just wasn’t up to par last season, and it has nothing to do with his girlfriend.
I’m not a Jessica fan, but sometimes the criticism she receives is beyond ridiculous.
Eva and Tony are a married couple, and, unlike Romo, that Tony doesn’t grimace in embarrassment in half of the pictures they’re in together.
Romo’s probably using her for sex and Jessica is just…well, just sad.
And I am so sick of hearing that Ashlee and Sideswept Bangs McGee’s wedding was “goth.” Decorating a church like it’s a fucking Hot Topic does not goth make. Their wedding was about as goth as they are “rock artists.”
I have no love for Romo – the man is a turncoat! (A Wisconsinite playing for Dallas?! Treason!) Still, I wish him all the best in getting this lesion removed from his ass. I could see how putting up with this bimbo would be a drain on time, talent and resources. And I don’t want him distracted when he goes head to head against Aaron Rodgers this fall. Big Rodgie has a lot to prove, and it’d be a shallow victory with Jessica in the stands. đ

It makes no difference that Tony and Jessica are not married. After all, we are a progressive generation.
If Tony is truly embarrassed by Jessica, and if she is a “lesion” then he needs to leave her once and for all, and stop being a pussy about things. Until he does that, I am going to assume that he either cares about her or he is a weak little slimeball.

Not sure how women like Jessica Simpson became singers. They never would have made it 20 years ago. Back then you had to actually be able to sing, not just lip synch.
20 years ago Jessica would’ve been the blonde on Lawrence Welk. I want to like her and root for the cute couple, but I have a hard time with stupid. And a hard time getting wet for a guy who’s attracted to it.

Why should she stay away from his games? hes her freaking boyfriend. Its not her fault that he played shitty at the game, thats just crazy fans trying to put the blame on someone other then the actual players. If my boyfriend played a sport i would want to go watch too.
But i don’t think she needs to flaunt her love for him, that never seems to end well in Hollywood.

Didn’t Jessica date that gorilla for years before they got married? And I don’t think she’s been single for any significant period of time since they divorced. I think that her dad’s borderline-incestuous infatuation with her has resulted in her being too dependent on other men in her life. I have to feel a bit sorry for her.
I have to say that Romo dumping Jessica right before Ashlee’s wedding was an asshole-ish thing to do. He still went with her anyway, so why didn’t he just wait until after that to break the news? Whether or not you like her or Ashlee, it’s just wrong to do something that leaves the maid of honor understandably upset during what’s meant to be the happiest day of the bride’s life.
