Beyonce is really tired of people talking about her womb

wenn3110114

Instead of attending the American Music Awards last night (why would she?), Beyonce went to her own little party for her DVD release of “I AM… WORLD TOUR”. Which is like the best name ever for a concert DVD. Beyonce is nothing if not humble. I’ve been thinking about covering this for most of the day, just because I saw the photos of Bey this morning, and I thought this dress was hideous, and likely from The House of Dereon. But it’s not! The dress is Naeem Khan. Eh… still bad. Anyway, while on the red carpet, Bey talked about how tired she is of all of the baby drama:

Beyonce is tired of the baby rumors.

“At this point, they say that I’ve been pregnant like eight times, so I am kind of used to it,” the 29-year-old singer said in an interview with The Associated Press. “I just hope that one day when I decide to be pregnant that people are happy for me. … One day hopefully I will be. It’s part of being a celebrity, I guess.”

Beyonce is delivering something else – a concert DVD titled, “I AM … WORLD TOUR,” which goes on sale Friday. Footage from the DVD will air on Thanksgiving in her second prime-time special on ABC (9:30 p.m. EST), “Beyonce’s I Am … World Tour,” but this time, she shows a more personal side.

“I felt like I’ve done so many different things, it’s time for me to show a bit of who I am. The hardest thing was showing that, because a lot of things that I filmed, I filmed in my computer, and I would never have gotten so open if someone else was in the room,” she explained at her DVD premiere Sunday.

Beyonce produced, directed and edited “I AM,” which follows the singer on her world tour, which started in March 2009 and ended in February.

[From HuffPo]

I always have mixed feelings about the constant rumors surrounding Bey and her womb. I totally feel like it’s her body, she gets to say when she wants to have a baby, and everybody should just step off and stop pressuring her (because I really do feel like people are pressuring her). On the other side, Jay-Z has talked about wanting to start a family with Bey, and it feels like she’s the one who keeps saying no… and it makes me have sympathy for Jay, it really does.

Bossip also notes that at this DVD launch event, Bey’s parents Mathew and Tin Knowles were in attendance… together. They’re pulling a Jamie & Lynn Spears and reuniting after divorce drama! Hurray for old couples getting back together!

    She looks like she’s sporting a fuzzy white tail in that last pic. Lol! Anyway, it is her business and people should drop it and let her be; but like she said, it’s all part of being a celebrity. You can’t really get away from it and it’s the price these celebs pay for having what they do.

  2. Boombeeba says:

    & I’m really tired of ppl talking about her PERIOD (nice dress btw;)

  3. Franny says:

    i don’t really hate the dress. it fits a little funny on top but other than that…

  4. ziggy says:

    how’s about they talk about her fat legs, then?

  5. RHONYC says:

    actually the last pic shows the beautiful detailing and purple tones in the dress. it looks like a mosaic.
    love her ‘malibu-barbie’ long weave, too.
    work it mrs. carter! 🙂

  6. LindaLu says:

    LOL… it looks like she has a white tail in that top photo.

  7. Praise St. Angie! says:

    said it about Aniston and I’ll say it now.

    the only way interviewers will stop asking is if the celeb being asked says “that’s not anyone’s business but mine (and my husband’s)”. asking someone about their reproductive plans is one of the most intrusive things you can ask. it’s just rude, IMO.

    it won’t stop the tabloid speculation, though…

  8. guesty says:

    have to say…kinda lovin that dress.

  9. jc126 says:

    I’m more interested in whether she’s really about 36 or so – remember that piece of gossip? Lol.
    And I suppose the “I AM…” part is to not mention the “Sasha Fierce” bit.
    I have a vague recollection that saying “I AM” can be offensive to certain Christians (and I’m sure Beyonce wouldn’t intentionally do so) because (correct me, somebody) the word Yahweh means “I am” or a term close to it.

  10. Johnny Depp's Girl says:

    Go get pregnant Stupid… This is one of the reasons men cheat.

  11. Jackson says:

    Eh, I don’t give a fig if she has a kid or not. Who knows, they may be trying and it’s not happening, or like lots of other couples it has to be the right time for BOTH of them and not just the guy. And the dress wouldn’t look nearly as bad if it fit better or was cut differently.

  12. lena80 says:

    Really Ziggy??? you think her legs are fat??? I think they are toned…they aren’t sticks that’s for sure, but I wouldn’t call them fat…to each their own though. @RHONYC…just an FYI, Beowulf is rocking a lace front here.

  13. @Ziggy says:

    That’s pretty rude. Why don’t you post a pic so we can see what you look like, hmm?

  14. lena80 says:

    @JohnnyDeppsGirl…I know that was sarcasm so that’s why I laughed…at least I hope it was sarcasm!

    As far as the baby thing goes, maybe she is trying but hasn’t been successful yet. It is an evasive thing to constantly ask someone something so personal.

  15. nnn says:

    I understand her view but i also understand jay. They have been dating non stop since she was 18 and him 31.

    Now she is 29 and he is going to turn 41 next month, is a rich entrepreneur who has been talking for years about wanting to start a family.

    I for one, think that he has waited long enough and at his age it makes sense that he may wanting them more now that tommorow.

    So it would be wiser for Beyonce to seriousely think about it because i personnally don’t think he will wait another 5 years. I don’t see it happening and children, the timing when you decide to have them can become a sensitive subject and the source of conflict.

  16. Gecko says:

    It’s entirely possible that they’ve been trying and it’s not working, like Jackson said. And when you want a baby and it’s just not catching, and there’s no obvious answer as to ‘why not,’ the intrusive questions (whether it’s from your mom/MIL/8000000 magazine writers) can be really painful.

    Just leave ’em be. Either she’ll have a baby or she won’t, they’ll adopt or they won’t, and however it winds up, a woman’s reproductive organs and what she does with them are no-one’s business but her own.

  17. Kaiser says:

    JC126 – I’ve thought that she’s been lying about her age for several years now. The girl was “27” for like five years.

  18. Jules says:

    I am tired of her, womb and all.

  19. wonderful says:

    She has such a punchable face.

  20. Squirrel says:

    From what it sounds like (‘produced’ – paid for, ‘directed’ – called all the shots, ‘edited’ – cut out unflattering bits) she is still very career focused. Was there not something about her wanting an Oscar before the age of 30? Might explain being 27 for a while… and putting off the family, if indeed that is so. She seems like the type of woman to first go all-out for a stellar career and then switch to the dedicated mom who stays with the kids. Either way, hope all goes well for them when they do want a family.

  21. Hautie says:

    Where is it written that any female must produce a child immediately after marriage.

    I know of many girls who popped that baby out within 2 years of the marriage. And ended up a single parent cause the man decided it was not what he wanted.

    I want to know where all these men are that are demanding children of their own. Cause I see way too many single Mothers out there doing it on their own. With not a Daddy in sight.

    And being rich and famous does not stop that from happening either.

  22. ziggy says:

    @#13, i’m entitled to my opinion. you must be able to relate to beyonce and her fat legs and even if this isn’t the case, i could care less.

  23. craigc says:

    why do black ladies hide their afro’s?
    No disrespect here, but why the quest for blond, straight hair?

  24. RHONYC says:

    @ LindaLu

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    that DOES look like a white tail coming out of her behind. lmao! 🙂
  25. hellcat says:
    She does have a career to consider, one that would be seriously sidetracked or at least put on hold by having a baby. I mean, most of her job is based on her ability to a) dance and b) maintain a banging body (yes, she has a phenomenal voice, but very few entertainers get by on that alone nowadays).
    Even if she WANTS kids, which it seems like she does, it’s still a huge decision – what will the cost be to her livelihood? I could see her being afraid that she wouldn’t be able to go back. I’ve always, always, always wanted kids and still do, but I wouldn’t be fulfilled by that alone – I love and value what I do, it’s my passion. I know people have a tendency to say awful things about women who don’t want to drop everything else in their lives to have a baby (cough Jennifer Aniston cough), but this is a BIG decision that will affect her life in super important ways, and it’s certainly not one that she should be pressured into, by her husband or anyone else.
  26. Embee says:
    Lurve the dress
  27. leuce7 says:
    I think she’s handling it really well, all things taken into account. I mean, how many people get engaged/married and then start suffering the endless round of “when are you having a baby?” at family gatherings? It’s not even my own family’s damn business, let alone the media and any busy body who feels like asking. But she seems pretty accepting of it being the part of the price of celebrity, for better or worse.
    Plus, even if Jay-Z is itching for a family, I’m sure he and his wife have discussed what’s best for them–she is still very young, rumors not withstanding, so they have time, and 41 isn’t old either.
    My husband and I decided a long time ago when and where in our lives we’d be comfortable having kids, and as it turns out, that will be ten years after we married. I think people in general need to chill out assuming all ladies should have X or Y reproductive plans (just in general).
  28. jc126 says:
    #25, I don’t think there will be much, if any, cost to her livelihood. She and her husband are both fabulously wealthy, after all, and children haven’t slowed down the careers of many successful entertainers who are female, especially those who were big stars to begin with. UNLESS they voluntarily decide after having kids that they want to focus on family, which certainly happens as well. In other words, I think it will be Beyonce who will or won’t take herself out of the spotlight when or if she ever has kids.
  29. nnn says:
    I don’t see where anyone implied she should produce a child right after marriage…besides that marriage was nearly 3 years ago.
    Fact is when you marry a man who is 13 years older, a man you have been dating for more than a decade, a man that has said countless of times for years that he can’t wait to start a family and you decide to marry him, you do it knowing all these parameters, you do it knowing that indeed you are still young but you have a man who is older and who doesn’t have the same priorities.
    Again, it’s a matter of balance considering that children and timing are a deal breaker in every culture and that indeed if you wait too long, especially when you have been together for so long and when one is way older than the other….I mean if the roles were reversal,everyone would accept the fact that after all those years the woman would want to pressure her younger husband.
    Fact is, even if i am not a man, i know that around 40 years old, they feel more mortal and that the urge of wanting a child is more prevalent even if they don’t suffer as us menaupausal phase.
    Objectively, these two have been together for so many years that it makes sense that the older one could (we don’t know) pressure the younger one for finally starting a family, because after all, even if they have been officially married for nearly three years, they have been living together as a couple for like 6 or 7 years.
    ziggy ITA!!!
  31. womanfromthenorth says:
    I love the dress and her curves. Her hair is her own I think… and everyone wants long blond hair.. right?
  32. lena80 says:
    “why do black ladies hide their afro’s?
    No disrespect here, but why the quest for blond, straight hair”
    @ CraigC…because most people in all cultures embrace the European standards of beauty and this is what they are made to believe they should look like to be accepted…which is sad, and it’s very common in the black community. And just to correct you, put some/most in front of “black ladies” next time. Not all of us hide our curly hair….I’m natural…meaning I do not chemically straighten my hair.
  33. slymm27 says:
    whoever said she should have a baby, because thats why men cheat is just plain silly. Let beyonce have her baby when she will, men will cheat either ways anyway…so whatever!!. We all know jay.z has his hos on the side he is banging, so whatever .
  34. nycmom10024 says:
    She really is a beautiful woman who will have a child/ren when she is ready.
  35. jessica says:
    Her lips are looking like Lindsey Lohan’s lips all of a sudden…
  36. Louise says:
    The dress is fine except for being a couple of inches short. I don’t understand the purpose of doing a tv special of the same tour two years in a row. It can’t be too different.
  37. Leticia says:
    Ziggy, ITA, I don’t understand why Beyonce and Katie Holmes show their legs. They have beautiful faces and tiny waists, and I wish they would cover their legs.
  38. happygirl says:
    @ Jules – I feel the same way…
    @ziggy….jeez…uncalled for comment toward #13. **hears cat hissing**
  39. Relli says:
    Doesn’t J already have kids? I thought there was some rumor that he has like a five year old with an African supermodel and they stay in a mansion in Zimbabwe? Goosips, have you heard of this?
  40. Tazina says:
    That is a beautiful print on the dress. However, it is several inches too short and the top could have been designed better.
    I could care less when she has kids. It’s her aging body, not anyone else’s. If they can’t have any, I’m sure there are lots that could be adopted.
  41. Jeri says:
    Maybe someone else will volunteer to have Jay’s baby.
  42. likevelvet25 says:
    What u guys fail 2 realize is that jay n bey have a business arrangement **cough** marriage and beyonce will not have children until her career starts to fail incessantly….hencewe get preggers rumours every 6 months…her n her ppl pit those rumours out themselves!! Because mariah and alicia **who r friends of jay n bey** were getn too much attn!! Thats why shes wearing her ring n divulging personal info on her life n marriage which up till now**new album coming** beyonce yelled private personal i dont talk about it….beyonce is getn replaceble n forgotten so expect more fake tears…more lame who gives a damn n e more marriage details and when the ahit hita the fan expect a actual real pregnancy because her and jay r saving that for their last resort!! Trust this man n dragqueens clothing is playing yall n her fans like a fiddle!! Stop drinking the knowles carter koolaid!!
  43. sue says:
    There are rumors out there that Jay-Z has a son with some woman that live in a different country and with Jay-Z being a big man whore in his younger days it’s really easy to believe.
  44. weslyn says:
    @craigc..i was gonna comment on the same thing..i’m happily natural and i think it’s becoming more common in the black community..but this chick stays with a long, blond weave in her head..it never looks natural
  45. Bitter fruit says:
    The person bringing up the preggo rumours is Beyonce.
  46. ohso says:
    Jay z allegedly knocked up a video vixen named shanelle. She was paid money to keep her mouth shut. She lives in Trinidad with jayz’s alleged son. Also there is a herpes rumor going around about him so who knows.
  47. Liana says:
    and everyone wants long blond hair.. right?
    *********
    not this Greek/Italian. I’m happy with my brown hair, thanks.
  48. jzhz says:
    Hate to break it to you, but not all black ladies have afros. Some have straight hair, some have curly hair – huge variety in hair types.
    Also, I don’t think she looks fat at all. She looks pretty great, for once, aside from that hair (which I also dislike).
  49. HotPockets says:
    Beyonce= Most overrated artist of our generation.
    Plus, Beyonce use to embrace her natural locks and style and then she became insanely manufactured after separating from Destiny’s child. This girl is barely recognizable from when she first started out.
  50. Sharonkings says:
    No way is Beyonce overrated. Her money and record sales and sold out concerts show that. But to the haters at the end of the day who call her ugly fat and untalented: she’s worth at the least a couple hundred million, famous and beautiful.
    you lose
    B wins.
  51. jc126 says:
    I did think Jay Z already had kids.
    Plus, I totally disagree with “have a baby so he doesn’t cheat”! The biggest cheaters I know (male) ALL have kids. If anything, they get worse after having kids.
  52. Nj says:
    Black girls straighten their hair for the same exact reasons curly- haired white girls do- straight hair is easier to deal with, looks neat with less effort, and can make the face look thinner. I know this because I am white with thick, wavy hair that looks beautiful wavy- if I am sitting still in a climate controlled room. Add a little humidiy, moisture, wind, activity- and it is a mess and all over the place. Black, white, we all want the same thing- to make life easier for ourselves, but black girls catch all this flak for straightening. It’s not fair.
  53. jover says:
    Squirrel in order to win an Oscar you have to have talent and be able to authentically emote, among other things; bouncy is incapable of real emotions so real acting is beyond her; agree Hotpockets she is totally manufactured and totally overrated, her “music” is disposable pop, only put out to feed her celebrity lifestyle; it connects with nothing and is about nothing – 40 years from now we will still be listening to Jimi, Janis,Carlos, etc. bouncy’s music will be a footnote;
    SHaronkings how many times does it have to be said money and record sales aren’t determinative of artistic merit; the Spice Girls are the top selling female act I believe anyone hear their music played lately or think their music has artistic merit. Bouncy is just a self-absorbed vacant celeb thats taken advantage of every marketing means, and the public’s low standards, to become famous – she’s mostly a cash register on two legs. I’m not hating I’m expressing an opinion many have.
  54. slymm27 says:
    @jover, why r u calling her bouncy? Some of you women are sick if you think beyonce is fat. Most men find her very attractive and sexy because of her curves, and i will kill to have aa body like that, you all eat and throw ur food up so u stay skiiny like a skeleton thinking in your warped minds that you look good. You dont look good, and no man wants to bang a bag of bones, so run along now and go grab a burger. Pathetic!!
  55. Courtney says:
    Beyonce needs to keep her mouth shut and stop dreaming. when you sign up to be an entertainer this kind of stuff is par for the course. besides she ain’t never going to win an oscar she can’t act for shit to save her life. and no studio will risk credability to buy her one as most are now a days. you can’t always plan when your going to have children nor do they neccessarily side track your career unless you set it up that way. maybe she’s had a miscarriage before and isn’t ready to talk about it yet and might not until she writes her autobiography in like 40 years
  56. ghoulish_moose says:
    @nnn – I agree. When you think about it, it’s a pretty hefty age gap. I often wonder how couples who have such a huge age gap function properly.
    Me and my boyfriend are both 26. If he was 12 years older and 38, I cant think what I’d have in common with him. There’s things that he’d have done and achieved and experienced that I hadn’t yet. I’d be wanting to do those things wheras he’d have done it, bought the t-shirt etc
    It’s overlooked because they’re a celebrity couple, but in “real life” I doubt she’d hook up with a guy 12 years her senior. So I understand why he’d be wanting kids, he’s in that stage of his life. He’s made his money, seen the world and in a good place to settle down. She’s 29 and still feisty and not ready to settle yet. I’m kinda surprised they’re still together actually…
  57. redlips says:
    I am tired of people talking about her womb however, not as much as I am of them talking about her! Get the eff ober yourself, Beyonce. You are NOT that important!
  58. Annelli says:
    Why can’t people except that Beyonce just isn’t ready????? So what if she is 29 about to be 30 years of age..what the hell does that have to do with anything? If she waits until she is 40..it’s alright in my book. Reaching that sort of status that Beyonce has and trying to maintain it is difficult and requires a lot of sacrifice and hardwork. Let this woman be….when she is ready, she will have a child and not before then and I fully support her. Also, Jay’s age has nothing to do with it….ok…he is 12 years older than her….what is that suppose to mean? That Beyonce should jump and have kids as a means to “keep” him? If her not wanting to have kids right now is enough for him to leave Beyonce esp. if she is a great woman,then he wasn’t that much of a decent himself.
  59. jover says:
    slymm27 thanks for responding but you said nothing about my substantive comments, but are you her publicist – beyonce doesn’t care about you or me or any community – like most celebs she cares first and foremost about herself. Everything else is secondary and her career has born this out.
  60. Anon73 says:
    i like the dress too ! ; ) sort of changes things up from just plain black.
