I just thought I’d add some of the other photos from last night’s German premiere of The Tourist at the bottom. In closeups, you can really see how jacked Angelina’s hair is. If she paid someone to do that to her hair, she’s absolutely crazy.
Anyway, the official trailer for Brad’s Tree of Life is finally out. A few weeks ago we saw the bootleg version of this, along with some of the official promotional images (here). The official trailer is nice… but I still think it’s just nostalgia porn. Beautifully shot by Terrence Malick, but nostalgia porn none the less:
Do you want to see this? It seems like if you want to sit around looking at pretty pictures and weeping over Hallmark cards, you could just do that at home. Just my opinion! Also: is Brad playing an abusive father, or just an archetypal “unemotional” 1950s father? Eh.

This is a beautiful, riveting and mysterious trailer. Although I’m no fan of Brad or Jolie, I am intrigued by this movie and I like her hair.
I usually enjoy Malick’s movies and this one seems interesting, although the trailer is a bit confusing.
I can’t stand Pitt’s constipated look, but if this movie will get good reviews (and less confusing trailers), I’ll probably go see it.

I don’t know why it hasn’t occurred to anyone that Angelina’s hair got messed up because of the snow and wind. It doesn’t look styled.

Here (in Italy) it seems that except the Ansa nobody has pictures of the event. I was waiting to see Johnny!, who looks like a ‘becchino’ (grave-digger) in that picture of the link above.
Anyway, the news say that Johnny arrived in Rome yesterday night and this afternoon he was at the press conference along with FHvD. On the other hand AJ and BP have had some problems with their private jet, and were stuck in Berlin the whole day then finally arrived in Rome right before the red carpet.

I worship Malick. He makes poetic, contemplative films. I even endured Colin Farrell in The New World (not a bad actor, just rather visually repellent). But Brad Pitt has no range and absolutely no depth. Meet Joe Black says it all. At best, I would say he’s an adequate actor suited to the likes of Hawaii 5-0 on Tv. Ick. I’m not sure I can see this film now even though the images are stunning.
I keep hoping there is method to Malick’s madness in his choice of actors. Maybe I’m missing the point.

ANYWAY despite her messy hair, it’s nice to see her without those damn bangs. I think Angelina is gorgeous, duh, but the bangs she’s been wearing make her look so OLD! With her bangs pushed back she looks much younger and even more gorgeous! I hope she grows them out!
Any pizza bagels left? Personally, the textures she has been wearing for the premieres aren’t for her. The sweater dress, the velvet, for whatever reason the matte look doesn’t work. Why is Brad at her side for all of these premieres? You don’t see Depp trotting out Vanessa, who is likely home with the kids. Methinks the studio is hoping his presence will enhance the mystique of the picture. I’d hate to think Brad has nothing better to do.
I love how that kid on Brad’s back looks 300% smarter than he does, but that’s still not saying much ho ho.

Im pretty sure i wore a dress like that to a blue light disco once, circa 1986, but then I was a teenager, drunk on Kahlua and coke and half baked on top of that so at least I had an excuse.
If I’m reading between the lines in the trailer, the movie honestly looks depressing. The innocence of childhood and the reality of adulthood.
