Enquirer: Natalie Portman is pissed that Mila Kunis is getting attention

wenn3121930

And now for another NOT shocking story. The National Enquirer reports this week that Natalie Portman and her Black Swan costar Mila Kunis are engaged in some kind of bitch-fight. Also not shocking? It’s one-sided. As in, Natalie is completely outraged that Mila Kunis is also being lauded for her performance in Black Swan, when all of the attention was supposed to be on just Natalie. Meanwhile, Mila just seems like “hey, I’m in a movie, that’s so cool!” I realize that it’s the Enquirer, and disclaimer, disclaimer, etc, but who else totally believes this dynamic? Who else thinks that perhaps this is the reason for The Plague of Portman Bitchfaces?

NATALIE PORTMAN livid at Black Swan costar MILA KUNIS! Natalie, 29, dances the lead in the ballet-themed film, but Mila’s getting Oscar buzz for her supporting role, and Natalie is NOT happy, sources say.

“This was supposed to be Natalie’s BIG role, so she’s totally upset that Mila is getting so much praise,” an insider told The ENQUIRER. “Natalie’s confident about her performance, but she clearly didn’t expect Mila to be getting so much Oscar talk.”

Not unlike real life, in Black Swan, the two actresses play rival ballerinas competing for the title role in “Swan Lake.”

And while Natalie was nominated for a Film Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead, it was Mila who was awarded the Marcello Mastroianni Award at the Venice Film Festival for best young actor.

As for the Oscars, “Natalie knows that the Best Actress category is more competitive and Supporting Actress honors usually go to an unexpected newcomer – like Mila,” said the source.

“It’s like when Jennifer Hudson stole every single scene from Beyonce in Dreamgirls. And look what happened there – Jennifer walked away with the Academy Award!”

[From The National Enquirer]

Oh no they didn’t just compare Natalie Portman to Beyonce!! That’s hilarious. For the record, I think Natalie is way more talented than Beyonce, and I also think Portman is a heavy contender, and even a favorite for the Best Actress Oscar. But I also think that little Mila Kunis could walk away with an Oscar nomination too – just this morning, she was nominated for a SAG, whoever is running Black Swan’s Oscar campaign is putting some money in for Mila too (and Vincent Cassel, too, I hope). Will Mila win an Oscar? Doubtful. But considering no one really expected anyone but Natalie to get nominated, the whole “just being nominated is enough of an award” trope will ring true for Mila, and her profile will be raised significantly. Plus, Mila just seems like a sweeter, funnier, cooler and more grounded girl when compared to Natalie I Went To Harvard and I‘m Magnificently Obtuse and Brilliant Portman.

I think NE just watched the movie and wrote the story based on the dynamic between the characters. As long as Natalie gets a nom I doubt she will be worried about Mila

  2. erikarain says:

While I totally believe that she might be a bit jealous, I have a hard time buying that Natalie is constantly agonizing over Mila getting some attention.

Then again, I’ve been attributing the “bitchface” to being tired/underweight.

Plus, both of these women have been acting for quite awhile – and both seem quite professional.

I have a hard time believing anything the Enquirer publishes.

  3. brin says:

This should be great for all the awards red carpets, Kaiser. Each red carpet will have Natalie looking more & more bitchfaced until she has a full on bitchdown (like a meltdown) at the Oscars….can’t wait!

  4. gabs says:

I buy this story. Natalie seems like a major bitch.Mila is awesome! Shes a good actress and down to earth. Reminds me of Emily Blunt.

You know, this kind of reminds me of the devil wears prada situation where Emily stole all the scenes from Anne. Anne annoys me too. She seems full of herself like Natalie.

  5. Circe says:

Second picture: that is a fake grin if I ever saw one. Ouch.

  6. KJ says:

I’m pretty stoked Mila Kunis is getting praise for Black Swan. I saw it and even though Portman does an amazing acting job, Mila definitely showed more range and depth as an actress in the film than she has in a long time. I agree that she seems fun and down to earth, and I’m a big family guy fan, so whenever I heard her talk, I always chuckle and think of her as Meg. She’s so undoubtedly gorgeous, with a lot of talent and potential and I think we’ll be seeing a lot more of what she can do in the future.

  7. Kaboom says:

    Jewish schicksa-fight?

  8. Johanna says:

Why are magazines always putting females against each other? I saw this one coming from a mile away! If NP had a big ol’ smile on her face we would call her out for being insincere. When, let’s face it she has a permanent bitch face.

  9. flutters says:

This seems like the template of the catfight/jealousy story that all the tabloids have and then they just plug in 2 hot female names of the moment and run with it. Like didn’t they do one with Elizabeth Moss and Christina Hendricks of Mad Men recently?

I didn’t buy it then and I don’t buy it now.

@Johanna I totally agree. Women are always pitted against each other and characterized as jealous and incapable of coexisting by the tabloids and it plays into all the usual stereotypes.

  10. LittleFATMe says:

OMG! I was so gonna say something like this the last time we all talked about the bitch face. I mean, she looks PO’ed all the time. Like she did all the work of losing weight and training and being miserable and she can’t enjoy the finished product because so did Mila and Mila is sharing her “suffered for my art” glory – only doing so with more grace and self confidence!

  11. Lem says:

funny faces, I HATE when I have to stand with someone I hate, just being near some folk fuels the fire. But I LOVE standing with someone who hates me, stoking the flames.
    oh to be a girl

  12. k.at says:

I love, love, love Mila Kunis-she’s a good, underacknowledged(there is word here, just cannot for the life of me think of what it is) actress, and she just seems cool to chill with.

Natalie Portman seems like an alright actress(I am talking out of my a** because I can’t think of anything else she has been in(I apparently am having one of those mornings), but she does have an air of superiority about her that is just annoying.

    Team Mila

  13. Solveig says:

The first picture is priceless, LOL.
This is utter BS, it’s like the NE is trying to transpose the movie’s drama into Natalie’s real life.
As for her bitchface, to me it’s the red lipstick that accentuates the natural disgusted curve of her lips. And maybe she’s tired.

  14. Oi says:

I like Brin’s idea. I haven’t been able to stand her for a while, so maybe I’m just being bitchy, but that would be fun.

  15. Canuck says:

I’d be showing bitchface too, if some little floozy was standing between me and Vincent Cassel.

  16. Kaiser says:

Brin, Oi – Honestly, I think if Natalie loses to… whomever, Annette, or Julianne, there will definitely be a “bitchdown”.

  17. Ron says:

I just don’t buy this story at all.

  18. lucy2 says:

ITA Johanna. They just can’t wait to yell “catfight!”
I don’t buy it – Mila is getting some attention, but Natalie is getting tons of it and seems to be the front runner. I’ve seen very little media bout Mila and her role, compared to Natalie’s. If she were being ignored I could see it, but she’s not.
Plus, I read some article where Natalie said they were long time friends, well before this film, so I think they’d both be happy for each other.

  19. Embee says:

There was NOT this type of speculation when NP and ScarJo did Boleyn Sisters…just sayin’.

  20. Roma says:

Natalie looks pissed all the time because she needs a sandwich.

  21. TeeTee says:

not beleiving it but loved the crazy movie and they both played their parts well.

  22. Camille says:

I hate it when tabs start pitting women against each other, why don’t they do this shit for male co-stars.

And in saying that I would take Mila over Natalie any day. 😆

  23. machiii says:

    TEAM MILA, BITCHES..!

  24. yeahyeahyeah says:

Does the fact that she went to Harvard have to do with NP’s image as a “snob”? I feel like that’s just a generalization that people make. I totally believe her bitchface is natural and while I’m sure that NP is arrogant on some level (who wouldn’t be, in her position?) I don’t buy this story. Or I don’t want to, anyway. Natalie obviously doesn’t know how to smize.

  25. Persistent Cat says:

I would never ever stand anywhere near Mila Kunis, ever. Because no matter how pretty you are, you just can’t compare. I always thought Nathalie Portman was stunningly beautiful until I saw these pictures of her beside Mila Kunis. Alone, she’s gorgeous, beside Mila, she’s just Mila’s less pretty friend.

I loved Forgetting Sarah Marshall for a lot of reasons, one of them being getting to look at Mila’s beautiful face.

Those pictures above are funny but you have to remember, they take 8 million pictures at those things.

  26. heathen says:

The Enquirer got the John Edwards story right, so I wouldn’t just dismiss it because it comes from them. The thing with this story is, is that it is totally believable. Natalie Portman has been rumored for years to think very highly of herself (in a smug kind of way) so this story would be par for the course.

  27. becky says:

thanks for the spoiler love angelina
    FFS

  28. Obvious says:

I hope Mila wins and Nat doesn’t. I love Nat, I really do, but I feel that Mila is just amazing, sweet down to earth, and would honestly be shocked and wouldn’t lord it over everyone else, a we all know Bitch Face Nat will.

  29. Vi says:

    jeez angelina thanks a lot!

  30. Johnny Depp's Girl says:

I like em both. Hey, you can’t like everybody ALL THE TIME.

  31. moocowhead says:

Ok – if that is true I love it. There’s no point being a half-arsed bitch, may as well be a mega bitch. While Natalie still makes me roll my eyes I’m beginning to appreciate her smugness just a wee bit.

  32. mollination says:

Natalie bugs the crap out of me. In the trailer for this movie when she says “once upon a time there was a girl”, I literally cringe when she says the word “girl”. Go listen for yourself. IT IS SO ANNOYING.

I like Mila though. She’s looking great by the way.

  33. padiddle says:

gabs – cosign 100 percent! I dislike both Natalie and Anne and think that both are way overrated in the acting category ( I don’t think Natalie has turned in a stunning performance since her first in the Professional)

  34. LOVE ANGELINA says:

Oh Becky trust me that little thing I wrote won’t spoil the actual event when you see it. 😛 Its intense.

  35. brin says:

You’re right, Kaiser….I didn’t even think about how Natalie will look when they show the camera on all the nominees at the Oscars. Oh, it’s on, now, watch out, fellow bitches!

  36. Bodhi says:

Ditto becky. If you are going to have spoilers in your comment please WARN people FFS. Some of us haven’t seen the movie yet, geez.

Edit: I don’t care if “that little thing I wrote won’t spoil the actual event when you see it”, spoiling ANY of it is really rude.

  37. KateNonymous says:

The second picture cracks me up. It makes me imagine running into the two of them and having Mila say, “Oh, your shoes are so cute!” while Natalie says, “Hm.”

I don’t think it’s Harvard, or at least not entirely. After The Phantom Menace came out, I remember hearing a story on the radio. The DJs were interviewing a cabbie who had driven Portman across town. Apparently the fare was something like $8.50. She gave him a $10 and asked for the change. The DJs instantly dubbed her “Queen Cheapidala.”

  38. Obvious says:

What’s the point of watching now that we know what happens at the end???

  39. Trace says:

Side-by-side, Mila is definitely more beautiful. I’m glad she is finally getting recognized for her acting.

  40. lin234 says:

@persistent cat- I was just about to write the same thing!

Only Mila could make someone like Natalie look like the “plain friend”. They look very similar but Mila has the most gorgeous eyes that really stand out.

  41. JSal says:

WTF! The spoiler listed above is more than some ‘little thing.’ That was a real douche move. Hope it gets deleted.

  42. Kaiser says:

I took off Love Angelina’s spoiler. Love Angelina, stop doing that shit.

  43. Is it possible that, with all the weight lost for the role, Natalie simply looks more severe, and hence the unintentional “bitchface?”

  44. LOVE ANGELINA says:

I am sorry. I am pretty sure I didn’t put anything that spoiled the movie or a scene.

  45. tiredofrumers says:

@padiddle hear hear! i always hate it when i say np’s a bad actress and someone rebuts “but she was SOOOO GREEAATTTT in the professional.” uhm, she was 11, who cares? she’s so effin stuck up

  46. WOM says:

The smaller Natalie’s nose gets, the less I like her. What’s she one now? Her third or fourth reduction? She’s starting to look like Voldemort.

  47. hebc says:

I don’t really believe this either…partly because I’ve heard next to nothing about Mila and tons of stuff about Natalie lately

  48. Gwenevere says:

@ WOM: I think you and I may just be the only people in the gossip-sphere who can see that NP had a nose job! I brought it up once on another site and just about got drowned in hate. To me it’s very obvious. I’ve always thought Natalie was extremely beautiful so it really shocked me when she had it done.

  49. LOVE ANGELINA says:

@Orly Nowz LOL I haven’t been run off any sites. I was uh *cough*bannedfromone*cough*

Also I am pretty sure I didn’t leave a spoiler since spoilers tell you EXACTLY what happens, I hinted at something but thats all and plenty of movie reviews hint at things as well. I know since its me this was blown out of proportion but again I am truly sorry if that little nothing I wrote upset anyone.

  50. Courtney says:

Do you think that’s why Natalie is doing a comedy now?

p.s. I think Mila is waaaay prettier than NP…her face has always bugged me!

  51. gloaming says:

No Gwenvere, I’m with you too.

  52. Heather says:

I remember Ewan McGregor saying NP was stuck up during the shooting of the Star Wars movies. Thought she was a HUGE movie star which wasn’t exactly true at the time. She does come off as stuck on herself a lot, doesn’t she? Still like her in movies though. She can shut the Hell up in real life though. Roman Polanski thing was stupid.

Must suck being compared to Mila. Mila is pretty fantastic all around. You never hear a bad word about her, do you?

@WOM I was noticing that her nose seems smaller too. Thought it was just the angle.

  53. Marjalane says:

Me! Me! My hand is waving in the air! I think Natalie is a bitch!

  54. Zelda says:

Natalie Portman has always struck me as a pretentious snot. The kind of person who, if she didn’t like you, would get have you escorted of a restaurant she was in. I dunno. She seems uptight and coddled.

I also get the distinct impression that she is not as smart as her people try to convince us that she is.
And don’t gimme that “Harvard” argument—celebrities never go to state colleges for a reason

  55. Bodhi says:

We would have been pissed if ANYONE had spoiled it; don’t be such a martyr. I don’t care if reviews hint at anything, this isn’t a movie review site

  56. TG says:

@PersistantCat – You are so right. I was thinking the same thing. Mila has a very natural sexiness to her look as well that just can’t be hid.

  57. Heather says:

Can I get an ignore button on this site so I can just completely ignore everything a certain poster says?

  58. vic says:

Agree that the article is B.S. She’s had the same nose and lips since she was a child. As far as her always having bitch face, go to IMDB. There are hundreds of pictures of her smiling and being pleasant. And considering they’re almost the same age, NP’s the more accomplished actress by far.

  59. Isa says:

persistant cat- I thought the same thing about standing beside Mila too! Then I thought to myself, “No way, Portman is beautiful.” So I had to look at the pictures again. And it’s true. She does outshine Portman.

I think Natalie did an interview a little while back talking about how she is just now getting into red lipstick because before she thought it made her look like a clown. Well it does. Stop with it.

  60. Heather says:

Oh, I just noticed NP’s chest in that top picture. :O She either got a boob job or has a wonderful bra. She looks good with some boobage.

  61. Beth says:

I don’t believe it. I call bullshit. Natalie Portman does not need to feel threatened by Jackie from That 70s Show, no matter how well she performed in this movie. She’s Natalie Portman!

  62. lucy2 says:

Natalie does seem pretentious and a bit high on herself, but I also think she has the goods to back it up – she’s a talented actress and has done a lot for a woman her age. I may not want to hang out with her, but I respect her work. Especially with the likes of Lohan, Kardashians, and other wastes of space out there getting all the attention.
Mila on the other hand seems like a girl you totally want to hang out with, I like her a lot, and am glad to see her having such success. And I agree – I’ve always thought Natalie was very pretty, but Mila sort of blows her out of the water – girl is gorgeous!

Whew, thanks for taking down anything spoilerish, I’m hoping to see the film soon.

  63. jayem says:

Maybe she’s just pissed that Mila consistently looks better than she does on the red carpet. She should have a chat with her stylist. Cause that lipstick is atrocious.

  64. Moreaces says:

    Suck it up Beeyaach face.

  65. Liana says:

If Natalie truly feels like that (and it’s an “if”) she shouldn’t have passed on “Gravity” – she could have had nearly the entire film to herself. Natalie is kind of a snot, and Mila is all kinds of cool and fun.

  66. Isa says:

Does anyone know if this film will be released everywhere?

  67. mln76 says:

@shuddup there has always been Oscar campaigning, the difference is there is now media coverage of it.

  68. baby says:

idk..for some reason i’m totally buying it..i agree with most of you when you say natalie seems like a pretentious snot. and to tell you the truth, i’ve never really even been a fan of her acting *runs away covering head to avoid anything thrown at me*

    TEAM MILA 🙂

  69. LOVE ANGELINA says:

@Isa Black Swan is going into wide release tomorrow. 😀

  70. jzhz says:

Pretty funny – not a huge Beyonce fan, but she is FAR more talented than overrated Natalie Portman.

  71. Hakura says:

Regardless of if this story is true, that first picture is just glorious. I know I’ve said this before, but Kaiser, you’re awesome at finding pictures perfect for a story. xD

Even though it would be fun if this was true, I think it’s just another completely fabricated attempt at starting a ‘cat fight’ story between actresses. More ‘interesting’ and likely to sell magazines than a story saying they got along great, enjoyed working together, and each happy for the other’s success.

  72. LBees says:

Wow! Mila looks jaw-dropping in that pink number. My god she is so beautiful. I’d lap that up with a spoon if you know what I mean…

  73. fallen says:

I think in an interview Mila said they were friends that didn’t even talk about work, but you never no lol. She might have a natural bitch face, I no i do.

  74. lrm says:

atuall, this would be more like angelina jolie and winona ryder, than beyonce….
if kunis took the supporting oscar…and natalie did not win.

anyway, NP looks like she is still carrying the black swan in her eyes…she prob. hasnt decompressed from the role-prob intense to do promotions after intense roles.

i have no intention of seeing this film-creepy horror type things just are not my genre-though I get that the performances and overall nuance are brilliant. it’s just not my cup of tea. especially true to life psycho drama. shudder. anyway….

    as for ‘spoiler alerts’-
I don’t think any of us are ‘obligated’ to not talk about certain aspects of a film in the comments section of a celebrity blog-
you people are startin gto act like the cult over at CDAN…
it’s not a ‘groupie’ high school thing for god sake.

i didnt read this whole thread of comments either-but if you did, and you haven’t yet seen the film, then you are a fuc*ing idiot!
duh! the title of the thread is about jealousy re: performance recognition. I’m sure there *may* be some spoilers. jesus.
    is it friday yet?
    ya’ll need a drink.

  75. Isa says:

It doesn’t seem to be coming to a theater near me! Well, I guess a “theater near me” is incorrect since I have to drive about two hours.

  76. Amy says:

Of course this site would believe this story it backs up all of your beliefs about Natalie. There are TONS of pics of her smiling at this event but they won’t be posted.

And all of the wondeful things she’s said about Mila won’t be acknowledged either.

  77. Bill Hicks is God says:

Portman looks like she wants to shove her under a bus.

She was aware people were taking pictures right?

    Picture 1: Total “I’m-a paper cut a bitch with my Mensa certificate” side-eye;
    Picture 2: “Get your grubby Macauly-wanking hand off me”;
    Picture 3: “My PR people are making me do this”;
    Picture 4: “I’m firing my PR people”;
Picture 5: “Are me and the Cabbage-Fart doll done yet?”

    I really can’t stand that stuck-up bitch.

  78. Persistent Cat says:

@lrm, so true about the CDAN commentors, they are crazy nuts.

I haven’t seen Season 4 of Mad Men yet. I don’t click on anything Mad Men related on this site because a few things have already been spoiled for me. That bugs me but I’ve learned. It makes me nuts when people spoil it and the thread has nothing to do with Mad Men.

But still, people should be extremely careful in what they write. It’s a courtesy. Although I always read the comments before posting, I do skip some commentors 😉

  79. courtlandistan says:

No evidence, just BS speculation from a raggedy fish-and-chips wrapper. Also the dingus-qua-geniuses out there doing body-language interpretation from photos, keep in mind that when a thousand pics are taken a couple of minutes it’s always easy to find one or two that seem to convey whatever message the user of the photo wants someone to believe is the case. Total crap.

  80. Jeri says:

“Mila just seems like a sweeter, funnier, cooler and more grounded girl.”

So true, Natalie seems like a pretty pink jealous princess. Go Mila, go!

  81. ziggy says:

don’t believe this for a minute.

  82. Max G. says:

Simple explanation: Mila Kunis is an excellent actress; Natalie Portman is a lump of clay.

    Max G.

  83. Hakura says:

I think some people are taking this story too seriously. xD And the images used are amusing, I don’t think they’re supposed to be used as ‘proof’ of anything.

  84. Leek says:

I love Mila Kunis! She just seems like such a cool chick. Natalie Portman…not so much.

  85. truthzbetta says:

    Requiem for a Ballet Dancer.

Aronofsky (Director) just does the same movie over and over.

He probably wants the cast to fight because he always stunt casts, and casts so nobody will mention how many times his films have followed this formula. I thought I was reading the same reviews for Requiem for a Dream and the Wrestler when I saw what people were saying.

“A world of entertainment turns into a world of horror.” “A suspenseful, harrowing, terrifying nightmare.” “A psychological tale intercut with brilliant visuals takes you to the depths of human emotion.”

Same reviews for all his damn movies.

His secret: few enough people watch the actual films because they don’t want to endure a nightmare on a Saturday night with friends that nobody compares notes. And the buzz is that the actors were brilliant and tragic so the next good cast signs up for the same formula film next time around. Hack.

  86. DD says:

There have been quite a few pictures where I’ve had accidental bitch face, they make me laugh. Love these two, let’s not pick on Portman because she’s harvard educated. It’s okay to be beautiful, talented and educated as a woman, it doesn’t automatically make you a mean bitch.
Portman does need to stay away from the red lipstick though.

  87. Bodhi says:

Of course there aren’t any “obligations” when it comes to forums like these, but there is common courtesy. If that makes me a “fucking idiot”, so be it. Obviously the people who run the site feel the same.

    Have a drink for me

  88. Sharopa says:

I don’t buy the story. The director has said in interviews that Portman got the role for Kunis (they’ve been friends for a awhile and she knew Kunis has a background in dance). I doubt that she’d be so petty about a friend getting good reviews. It’s not like they’re going against each other in the same categories.

  89. Kaiser says:

Bodhi – I’m sorry about that! I haven’t seen the movie either, so I’m right there with you in “fucking idiot” territory, according to one commenter.

We don’t have any real rule for spoilers, but just try not to do it, okay? Especially for a film that hasn’t even gotten wide release.

  90. Solveig says:

Why are you all so in love with Mila?
She’s obviously cute, talented and funny, but in the looks department she can’t be compared to Natalie. Natalie is uncommonly beautiful in a very classy (old HW) way, on the other hand Mila looks like the girl next door.
Probably my idea of beauty is different from yours because here where I live Mila’s face is average looking.

  91. Runs with Scissors says:

I loved Portman until she supported Polanski, that was it for me as far a being a fan. With that said, she’s very talented and I’ll see this film.

And isn’t it time we give up this ‘team’ crap?

  92. Liana says:

I actually think that Portman looks hotter with the bitch face. And I’m not wild about Portman (and yes, I’ve met her and lived near her in two different places – I think she’s stalking me, LOL) but I really like her hair in the bitchface pics.

I’ve seen the movie, but I don’t think not wanting to be spoiled makes one a “fucking idiot.” I think calling people names like that makes one incredibly rude, though.

  93. Crash2GO2 says:

I’ve always been impressed with the fact that English is Mila’s second language, and that she learned if from watching TV. I think she is quite the talented actress and quite beautiful. NP seems like a pill, though undeniably beautiful. They are quite different, which means they complimented each other in this film.

  94. Sami says:

Natalie Portman is a classic beauty. I don’t know about Mila. Pretty enough girl. Her voice bothers me. She sounds like a smoker.

  95. wifeyskarsgard says:

Well it does seem Natalie is giving a bitch-faced look to Mila in the first pic!!!??? I always like Mila Kunis she seems like a awesome chick. Natalie Portman just seems like a real bitch to me.

  96. *-* says:

They’re both blah. Zero charisma or charm.

  97. Cheyenne says:

Runs with Scissors: isn’t it time we give up this ‘team’ crap?

It was past time back in the seventh grade.

  98. Dannnii says:

I have heard from film set peeps that Natalie does come off as playing some sort of goody goody girl thing, but I still do not believe this cause if it weren’t for excellent performances from them both, then the film wouldn’t not be getting quite as much attention.

  99. Isa says:

Solveig: Where do you live?! Because I want to live there too!

No wait, I don’t. I don’t think I could stand feeling ugly all the time with Mila look-a-likes roaming about. 😀

Pretty much everyone thinks they’re both beautiful girls. I just think that Mila’s face is more exotic. She has more sex appeal. They’re different types of beauty. Personally, I prefer Mila.

Plus, Natalie’s eyebrows kind of bug me. They go straight across.

  100. JenJen says:

Girls that don’t have a sense of humor are always jealous of ones that do,you can’t buy one.

  101. Sheen says:

Natalie Portman is a very attractive lady..Mila is nice too..

  102. Hakura says:

@Runs with Scissors (#93)- I agree that the ‘team thing’ does get a bit old.

I just find the ‘bitchface’ funny when anyone does it. I tend to judge someone more by what they SAY than what they look like in pictures. As someone pointed out, you can catch any range of expressions when people are snapping pictures every single second.

To me, Natalie doesn’t come across as warm and personable… like someone you could easily have a conversation with. Where-as Mila *does*… and with her, it’s pretty obvious she has a great sense of humor. (You have to be work on Family Guy xD)

  103. The Truth Fairy says:

    I hate Natalie Portman.

  104. Maybe this will goad the young lady into doing better next time.

  105. Bobby the K says:

NP is nice looking but so are a lot of ladies. Especially ones in the same business, even if they are older.

And there are plenty of smart ones as well.

Whoever said she doesn’t seem to have a sense of humour is right in my opinion. Maybe she does, but she doesn’t seem very ‘fun-loving’.

She comes across as taking herself very seriously, too easily insulted and offended.

At the same time, i wouldn’t be surprised if the studio is fomenting this cat-fight thing.
Studios have always done that when there are two females in lead roles. Oh what a surprise it’s in the tabs just before wide release.

  106. lisa says:

boy… YOU never hear these kinds of stories with men..just women. Mainly because women assume other women are jealous and catty. Some women actually celebrate the success of other women. It is just unreal how no matter the time in history; women still remain their worst enemies. Also attacking another woman. Always choosing sides. Always labeling other women based on their own insecurities.

The Hand that rocks the Cradle will never rule the world.

Mean girls grow up to be mean women.
    (IT NEVER FAILS)

  107. padiddle says:

People like to deify AJ (Saint Angie Jo, as she is often called) I feel that NP will be the same way when she reaches AJ’s level of fame – just because she plays good girls doesn’t mean she is one.
And I still stand by believing that she is a crap actress. Besides The Professional, I don’t believe she’s ever been excellent in anything, and when you are even worse than Hayden Christensen that’s saying something! Those movies were garbage, but she was easily the best part – I would like to know if there is anyone on here who genuinely thinks she was good in those films! I am curious to see a defense of her performance in them.

  108. Sara says:

I love Mila! I hope to see more of her, she was awesome in “Forgetting Sarah Marshal” too.

I used to love Portman after she did “Closer” but then she really started sucking. “Brothers was such a terrible remake and she was so unbelievable.

  109. Bodhi says:

    No worries, Kaiser 🙂

  110. malame says:

this reminds me of girl, inturrpted it was suppossed to be all about winnona and it ended up being about angie

  111. Aspie says:

What a random comparison between Beyonce and NP…they’re both talented in two totally different regards. Beyonce is known for being an ok actress (an Oscar isn’t likely in her future) but NP is definitely not a well known and talented singer.

And NP and MK are both good actors…why does it always have to be a popularity contest whenever two completely talented actors work together on a project? They both deserve praise.

  112. Chris says:

Is that Mila in the last photo with Natalie? If so she looks like a completely different person when you compare it to the first photo. As for Natalie, she reminds me of the Wicked Queen from Snow White in the first photo.

  113. chat.du.feu says:

Well, this is interesting considering that not only are Natalie and Mila friends but Natalie suggested Mila for the role to the director!

  114. jo says:

I guess now we know that the “bitchface” was actually Natalie with morning sickness, and her trying to not throw up everywhere. It’s actually mentioned in an LA Times interview she was sick. Although that was before the pregnancy news came out, and she was saying it was food poisoning.

Btw the previous poster is right. Natalie and Mila are close friends and Natalie recommended Mila for the part.

It’d be nice if a tabloid would say that it was two men jealous of each other for a change.

  115. Darth says:

F both of these wenches. Winona was the best part of Black Swan. She made much more of an impact in her few short scenes than either one of these other overrated girls did in the entire film.
Not to mention that we wouldn’t even have a Natalie Portman or Mila Kunis if Winona hadn’t already made the mold of this kind of actress. Natalie especially has been studying the Winona Ryder handbook ever since her rich art scene parents first bought her way into The Professional.
