Nicole Kidman’s other children meet Sunday Rose

The mysterious adopted offspring of Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise came out of hiding to fly to Nashville and see their new baby sister, Sunday Rose. According to In Touch, Isabella and Connor Cruise were able to take time out of their busy schedule to hold the new baby and spend time with the mom they hardly ever see.

Until they arrived in Tennessee on July 19, Isabella and Connor Cruise had only seen their baby sister, Sunday – who was born on July 7 – in photos sent by their mother, Nicole Kidman, in e-mails.

“They were so excited to meet their new family member,” an insider says.

The kids would have come to Nashville earlier, but Isabella had been on a road trip with friends.

“Isabella loved holding Sunday,” the insider says. “It was a real bonding moment for her and Nicole.”

Nicole, 41, and her husband, Keith Urban, recently purchased a house in Beverly Hills so Sunday can get to know her siblings.

Isabella, 15 and Connor, 13, live with their dad Tom Cruise in L.A. “They have their own lives,” a pal said, “But they couldn’t wait to meet their new sister.”

[From In Touch print version, August 4, 2008]

I was wondering if Isabella and Connor would be allowed to leave the seclusion of the Beverly Hills Scientology Center in order to see the new baby. “Road trip.” Riiiiight. I’m sure Tom wanted to make sure they were both up to speed on their copies of “Dianetics” before being released to Mommy’s house, where people might be allowed to think for themselves. I don’t know what kind of parenting style these two employ, but since when do 13-year-olds have their “own lives?” My 13-year-old would love to have her own life, I’m sure. It would probably involve the world’s messiest room, lots of Green day, a ton of eyeliner and unlimited text messaging. But it’s not gonna happen. I guess it’s different when you’re the kid of a rich crazy guy.

Well… when I was 15, I went on road trips with friends. And I kind of had my own life, too. Granted, I was kind of a wild teenager. Ah, fifteen is a magical age.

  2. Anon says:

scientologists believe that children are ‘adults in little meat bodies’. They believe in direct reincarnation, so according to them, these kids already know everything they need to know and don’t need parenting.

This is the same reason that scientologists value education so little – many kids raised in the cult barely finish a high school equivalent. It’s also the reason why kids in the cult are often made to work hard labour.

    For first hand stories:

  3. Barb says:

My 14 year old daughter goes to school with a girl whose family is $cientologist, and she is a mess. Never gotten any guidance, no control whatsoever, her parents feels she “needs to make her own choices and decisions in life”. So basically these kids raise themselves with no “interference” from the parents, only the endless auditing and indoctrination from the church. It’s so sad, this little girl is so clearly is crying out for limits, but even the school has been told by her folks not to punish her or reprimand her in any way as it’s against their beliefs. You know, I try to believe in letting everyone follow their own religion, but this “hands off” child raising that $cientology promotes is criminal neglect and child abuse. That and the barley water crap they give the poor babies. These folks should not be breeding. {shudder}.
Oh, and BTW, that’s connor cruise in the picture, but not isabella.

  4. RaeJillian says:

is that really isabella – she looks WAY strange and very different than usual. think back to that picture of her when she had the blue hair. it’s not just that she is thinner – if that is her, it’s odd.

  5. Enonymous says:

MSat, are you sure that that girl next to Connor is actually Isabella? She looks a lot different from her previous photos.

Anyway, of course scientologists do like/are against education because 1) no educated person in their right might would put up with their nonsense, crazy sh*t and 2) Tom Cruise would hate to be out smarted, as that would hurt his little ego because as we all can guess, he himself has never even finished high school.

  6. someone says:

Im surprised that Tom allowed them to go to Nashville, you hardly ever see pics of those two anymore….Maybe they will see more of thier mom when she moves to LA.

  7. Bodhi says:

All the $cientologist shit aside, I’m really glad Conner & Bella got to see the baby

  8. Enonymous says:

Also, why do Isabella and Connor live with their aunt and not Tom? So Tom does not really want them but he also does not want Nicole to have them. That man needs a big beat down to come in his senses.

  9. Bodhi says:

Tom’s sister homeschools Conner & Bella & her own kids

  10. Roni says:

That is NOT Isabella; I can bet my dead bird on that one! That is a friend because in the caption it says Connor,Isabella and friend…that is the friend as sure as my Petey is dead..that’s not Isabella!

  11. Mairead says:

Glad to see they’ve met their sibling

  12. Just me says:

That is not Bella, that is Tom’s sister’s kid. Bella has actually been with her mom since before the baby was born. So this is just tabloid gossip.

Connor and Bella live with their father and not his sister, he has a new house in beverly hills. His sister does home school them though with another teacher, probably scientology. They seem like nice kids. Tom Cruise should not be blamed, Nicole should make an effort to see her kids. Like get a house in LA.

  13. xiaoecho says:

Having just read the Morton biography of Cruise, I’ve got a whole different take on Nicole – if not exactly batshite like Tom, Nicole is very very self absorbed and focused entirely on what’s good for Nicole, to the point of repeatedly dropping their kids into Toms lap so she could devote herself to the next film role. TOM was the primary parent most of their lives
Tom did the wrong thing when he left Nicole but it was after YEARS of her treating him like something under her shoe. I have no doubt that little Sunday Roast is Nicoles’ current project, i.e. what’s good for Nicole

  14. Why did Nicole adopt 2 children and then turn away from them.

  15. jinx says:

The only reason those kids were sent to Nashville was TC has a huge image problem, he really wanted to do a movie call Edwin A Salt, the script is supposed to be great. He wanted 20 mil, and they laughed at him and offered it to other actors. His career is circling the bowl.

If there was no visit by those kids, he would have been seen as the bad guy again. Nicole wins. By the way how much more plastic surgery is Katie planning on having? Oh, Batman was great and you really didn’t miss her clist talent at all.

About co$ kids, Cruise is too much of a control freak for his kids to be raised that way, he is the exception. There is no way he can relinquish control of anyone or anything. Nicole has never said anything about that marriage and the really hateful things he said about her.

  16. xiaoecho says:

Jinx…..”Nicole has never said anything about that marriage and the really hateful things he said about her.”….

…. and so she retains the moral high ground and the good opinion of the public. Yes Cruise is an undoubted control freak but she treated him appallingly in private. When he raised the drawbridge on their marriage so abruptly and mercilessly, she was shocked and bewildered. She thought he would always love her no matter what she did to him – it was unthinkable in her mind that ANYONE could reject her let alone Tom who had always come back for more no matter how shabbily she treated him. His bitterness is understandable in that context.

  17. abbizmal says:

Looks like we got some $cientologi$t watchers in here. Oh dear.

  18. Enonymous says:

xiaoecho no offense but how exactly do you know all this very private things? Just because you read a book about someone does not mean you can be 100% on what that person is really like. Everyone has a different take on things and that includes the authors that write these type of books. I too judge someone from the outside, as everyone else does but I think its a little irresponsible to try and comment on someone’s life in such a personal matter like you actually might know them. I think there should be a limit to what is considered gossip and what is actual delicate, personal stuff that is no one’s business but theirs.

  19. xiaoecho says:

Enonymous…..I’m bewildered?? What is it that you object to? That I’m giving my opinion about a celebs behaviour? Isn’t that what we do here? Why is it ‘irresponsible’ to comment on what I have read elsewhere? Don’t we all get our information from varied sources before we comment here? Who am I responsible to on a celebrity gossip site? Most of the thread has been negative comment on Tom. Is it okay to comment on Toms behaviour but not Nicoles’ I have no loyalty or responsibility to Nicole Kidman – the facts I comment on are a matter of public record

The wonderful thing about the internet is that it affords us freedom of expression. The downside of this is sometimes we say things that people do not want to hear

Not offended in any way just bewildered

Is it because its ‘classy’ Nicole Kidman and not say, Paris Hilton?

    Just food for thought 😉

  20. fee says:

I cant wait to see how all these kids will turn out in 15-20 years when they all come out with their own “Mommy Dearest” autobiographys about their upbringings….. Cant stand Tom but how can anyone give up on their kids and see them maybe once a year when time & money is of no object? Nicole Kidman the perfect mother……come on! It seems shes been spotted out and about alot having lunches & shopping in the short amount of time since shes had the baby – doesnt anyone want to bond with their babies anymore or has the novelty worn off already? There you have it – my two bobs worth hahaha

  21. Enonymous says:

The only thing that I object to is when people in general are unnecessarily overly critical and tend to comment one very personal stuff (when it comes to their children, relationships and health) about people they do not even know. I think in a way this is irresponsible because blogs like these have become so powerful that things/accusations that might not be true can still reach vast amount of people and can do real harm.

A good example in my opinion is Britney Spears. I do think all this negative media attention and accusations/personal attacks of her always being called a bad mother and so on has alot to do with her losing her kids because she is now permanently being labeled as a unfit mother in the eyes of society. Before people start objecting to my theory, of course I know that people are responsible for their own behavior and the media did not actually make Britney do those crazy things, but all this negative publicity and criticism surely did not help her case. My point is that there is a fine line between having an innocent fun gossip in the expense of someone and actually attacking that person on matters that are not even clear and accurately known.

  22. xiaoecho says:

Enonymous…..I take your point and agree with you up to a point. The trouble is gossip and opinion is such a purely subjective thing. Who’s to say what is ‘innocent fun gossip’ and what is ‘attacking’? It is different for all of us. Where you considered my comments overstepped a mark, I considered it legitimate comment on Nicoles’ behaviour. Neither of us is right.

To me overstepping the mark is advocating violence (e.g.’someone should just shoot her’)or promoting religous or racial hate …which again is a grey area because some consider scientology a religion but plenty of scientology bashing goes on in Cruise posts

    Ah….freedom of speech

  23. bros says:

oh please enonymous, you are guilty frequently of the very thing you were accusing xiaoecho of, and at least she read a book on the topic and is therefore much more informed on whatever it is she wants to say about kidman than we might be not having read the book, which she already pointed out was by a single author, and unauthorized. your posts alway involve a tremendous amout of value judgements and opinion (i particularly remember your views on george clooney’s dating life and your opinions as to his psychology and why he chooses to date who he does) so don’t come at xiaoecho about anything you are guilty of, as you sure as heck havent read any unauthorized biography of clooney and the rest of the people you comment on.

  24. janepitt says:

She gets a free walk and everyone is always talking about how classy she is, bullshit. It’s generally acknowledged that Tom is a nut case however, what does that make Nicole, a woman who left her kids with said nut case? I have zero respect for this enterprising bitch. The only reason a self-involved person like this even has a child is to benefit from the abnormal fascination with celebrity babies. If she was ever a real mother to these children she would have fought Tom to the very end. Instead she took the money and ran.

No I am not a scientologist, that is as lame as being accused of loving Jennifer Anniston if you post negatively about Brangelina.

  25. Trashaddict says:

The Attitude towards adoptees is evident here: “Nicole’s OTHER kids”. They are her kids, not her OTHER kids. At least that is how adoption is supposed to be. Hollywood stars need to be careful not to use babies and children as accessories. Look what it did to Joan Crawford’s kids.

  26. geronimo says:

xiaoecho – interesting comments on the Cruise/Kidman marriage, based on Morton’s book. I think I might have to read it now. With Morton, like him or despise him, his research has always been very thorough so the Kidman details are interesting.

  27. Enonymous says:

bros, I have already admitted that I tend to judge someone from the outside and George Clooney has always been in the receiving end of that more then ones but I always speak as someone who is a far away absorber and never would I get too personal and pretend that I know what happens behind close doors of that particular celebrity(s). I comment on what I read about them at that moment like everyone else but I try to keep it basic, if you have in did read some of my comments then you would know that.

  28. tp Vero says:

The first set of remarks in this section gives a website link that I have just returned from. I am in a serious state of shock that this totalitarian sect/cult called Scientology actually can exist. What the people say when they tell their stories is pretty frightening! The way they talk in acronyms and how absolutely controlled they are, is mind boggling. I can’t believe that something like this is allowed to go on in governments who profess freedom unless it will be a model to control us all one day! This prattle about Tom and Nicole is so minor compared to this. I can’t believe that people would allow themselves to be controlled like this, especially the big name stars who are associated with it. I really am in a state of shock. I had no idea. Our individual freedom is in serious jeopardy just because it exists.

  29. Shane says:

Thank you Anon for this website. It is very interesting and I wish all Scientology survivors all the best, God bless.

  30. bros says:

xiaoecho wasnt pretending to know what was going on behind closed doors with her very detailed comments. she was citing information from the book she read and disclosed that fact. and if she is using information from a book that supports and backs up her negative opinion of kidman, more power to her. apparently that nuance was lost on you.

  31. Kat says:

Who cares? The kids got to meet the baby. Nicole is happy with Keith and Tom is happy controlling Katie. We will see how this plays out in the years to come.

  32. Enonymous says:

Calm down bros, no need to be so defensive because I was not just talking about xiaoecho but for other posters too.

LOL! Ah yes, Sunday Roast! Good One!

  34. Edith says:

I have admired Nicole Kidman ever since “The Others” and “The Hours.” I haven’t yet seen anything that suggests she deserves to be called a “bitch” (see above). I’m pretty sure nobody really ever knows what goes on inside a marriage other than the two people in it.

  35. Lola says:

From Morton’s biography, Tom is actually an excellent father. Nicole on the other hand seems like a less than perfect mother. If she was Britney, she would have got more criticism. Even now, you would think she would move nearer to her kids. Tom Cruise scaled down his work after the kids, Nicole didn’t. She seems very selof absorbed. But now they have a step mother. Nicole can take care of Sunday Rose. The kids seem happy and well adjusted atleast. She could move to Nashville for her husband but not LA for her kids. She even sold her house ther to move to Austaralia before moving to Nashville. She is the good mother that those who dislike Tom would like to believe.

  36. Wil in Mpls says:

Hum .. to believe Andrew Morton or not to believe Andrew Morton? Damn .. I don’t know that that would ever be possible .. he just has such a scummy vibe to him.

But .. I will just say this about the controversy brewing here abouts .. If it was important to anyone in the situation to have the children there when Nicole gave birth .. I think they would have been there. Whether that was due to Tom, Scientolo-washing or Nicole being a sh*t Mom .. I guarantee none of us will every really know.

  37. emma says:

so, they are 13 and 15, why can they not have their own life.? I had very supportive loving parents and stilll moved out at 15, own apartment, big(ger) city, no parents in sight and was very independent and as previously mentioned still loved and parentally supported. A road trip seams to me a very OK thing to do at the age of 15….crazy dad or not!
Also, poor Sunday (roast) Rose, living in Australia (originally from Sweden though) I can’t begin to tell you how unfortunate her name is, everyone is talking and laughing about it.

  38. snappyfish says:

Andrew Morton is a muck journalist. and I use the word journalist v v lightly. Cruise and Kidman (according to most sources broke up at 10 years of marriage) That is what makes a marriage ‘of considerable means’ in CA. Which means any divorce after that milestone brings into play the 50/50 rule. Kidman never did the scientology thing. Tom was getting more and more devout.

Scientologists believe that anyone who doesn’t follow the cult is considered ‘entheta’. He wanted Nicole away from the kids. They like the scientologist lifestyle and ‘chose’ that. I think they are with Nicole more than we know, she just doesn’t use the media with the same blunt force that Tom does.

At the Cruise nuthouse are the following nuts: Tom’s Mother, Tom’s sister and her children, Katebot and little Suribot along with Colin and Isabella.

  39. geronimo says:

Snappy, I know what you’re saying re Morton (he’s a dick) but, despite this, he DOES research very carefully and I’m still a little bit intrigued to read about the Cruise/Kidman marriage (ref xiaoecho’s earlier post on this.)

I actually wondered did the scientos get to Morton? When the book was underway, it promised all sorts of dark truths about Cruise but, from what I’ve since read (in reviews), it didn’t actually deliver very much in the end, at least not anything that wasn’t already known. However, I haven’t read it so I could be talking complete nonsense. It wouldn’t be the first time.

  40. xiaoecho says:

Don’t worry geronimo the book is an absolute indictment of Scientology and Cruise. Morton is scrupulously fair to Cruise and Tom does come across as a decent man, though totally indoctrinated into the cult —-deluded, and completely immersed in the scientology world view that psychiatry and the pharmacutical industry are a scourge that need to eradicated world wide, oh, and homosexuals need to be ‘put away quietly and without sorrow’ (see-ya Lindsay!) He has no-one around him that is not a scientologist and listens only to them. Tom sees the world in terms of good and evil. Morton graciously describes him as an ‘unsophisticated thinker’ Because of this he has lost most of his clout in Hollywood despite his acting chops. The big hitters have turned away and in effect Cruise has sacrificed his credibility and career for scientology
Oh, and Katie-Bot really is Katie-Bot. She sold her soul and is miserable.
I do not have an opinion on Morton the person but his book rings true

read the book – you won’t be able to put it down 😉

  41. geronimo says:

Thanks for that, xiaoecho, I think I’ll have to now!

And, as I said, although Morton’s been rightly criticised for many things in the past (opportunism to name one), he IS known for being extremely thorough as far as sourcing his info.

  42. Bodhi says:

Now I HAVE to read it! Thanks for the info, xiaoecho

  43. Ethan says:

Nicole is a class act and the most beautiful woman in the world.

What her ex husband does to her relationship with her children is cruel and wrong.

I feel sorry for these two children that are not allowed to lead a normal life with school and friends.

  44. Judy says:

Nick did not want to keep those kids in Toms church. She could have fought it but in the end he would have won. I donlt think for one minute that Toms ego would have let her “talk down to him”What Morton writes is a total contadiction of how Tom Cruise is .He has to be in total control and run the show and since Nick did not want his religion he dumped her ..period. Can anyone here really see him let Nick talk bad to him or treat him like shit??
The oly way Morton would know what on behind closed doors would be if he were there and he wasn’t therefore he is full of shit.

  45. Deede says:

It is so easy for people to ridicule Tom Cruise because of his religion. However, people in the United States of America have the RIGHT to WORSHIP in any way they so choose. This is why most of our ancestors came to the New World…to escape religious persecution. What most of you are doing is persecuting Tom Cruise because of how he chooses to worship. What gives you this right when it is guaranteed in our Constitution?

Nicole Kidman is a self absorbed botoxed, until her face is frozen, b***h who thinks that she is too good to live in Nashville with Keith. This is the same woman that threw a FIT when Keith took her to Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Nashville. She acted like she was disgusted to be there and Keith was so embarrassed when she kept demanding in a LOUD voice that they leave. He stood up and apologized for her bratty behavior. I felt sorry for him. She swept out of that restaurant like she was the Queen of England. Actually, the Queen has more class.

So many are so blinded by their hatred of Tom that they cannot see Nicole for what she really is. Why has she left her children out of her life? Tom hasn’t kept those kids from Nicole. This was all Nicole’s doing. Remember, these are her ADOPTED children as she almost always says. She even stated in her interviews before she supposedly had a baby that she hoped she would be a good Mom…..well, duh, I thought she was already a MOM. Didn’t they adopt these two children when they were babies? Ah, but it is different for someone like her. They aren’t her REAL children, now are they?

Conner and Isabella call Kate “Mom” because she is the only Mother they have had in the last coupe of years. Nicole is a sorry excuse for a mother, and I don’t think this new baby (wherever they got it) will change her one bit!

    Just my opinion!

  46. daisy424 says:

Scientology is a cult, not a religion.
    Just my opinion 🙂

Our hollywood spokesperson asked lovely Gangsterella,Nymphaea lavina, once on her thoughts on Nicole Kidman, and the way she brought up her kids,we were suprised to hear Nymphaea defend Nicole, then we found out her mother had brought her up following the scientology child rearing teqniques, which is the children basically bring up themselves, her mother was a relation of the Grimaldi family, though they may try to cover up their secrets, but Nymphaea who donated by proxy to fund space programmes once said the cult only interested her because it aspires to communication with aliens.

  50. Xavier says:

Our hollywood columists, asked the sweet gangsterella,Nymphaea lavina if she would care to comment on Nicole Kidman’s ways of bringing up her brood. We were suprised to hear Nymphaea defend Nicole, apparently Nymphaea had a mother who once was fiancee toJoseph Bonnano, and her mom followed child rearing scientology guidlines, which basically lets the child rule itself,we asked Nymphaea if she joined the cult, because it is known Nymphaea is more catholic in religion though has certain occult grades, her answer was unusual,in that she has interests in spacecraft and communication with aliens,.
