Vivica A. Fox, 46, plans for baby with 26 yo boyfriend: “I’m very fertile”

Vivica A. Fox, 46, was a guest on the Wendy Williams show this week. Wendy asked her if she planned on marrying her 26 year-old boyfriend, a club promoter who goes by the name of Slimm. From what I can tell Vivica and Slimm have been together about a year, and broke up briefly in August before getting back together. Slimm was in the audience during the show and Vivica told Wendy that she planned on marrying him and having his baby. She said she wouldn’t consider surrogacy, but “didn’t have a problem” with adoption. Williams, also 46, also asked Fox if she still had “full periods.” It was pretty funny.

Vivica: [To Audience] Don’t you guys think it’s time for me to have a baby?

Vivica: My career has been my baby for such a long time and I’ve done well by that. I waited for God to send me a good man, and he’s a good Southern man.

Wendy: I still get full periods, do you still get full periods?

Vivica: Yeah, you’ve got to worry about that.

Wendy: At 46 years old…

Vivica: You’ve got to do a lot of testing.

Wendy: Have you started talking to your GYN?

Vivica: Not yet. I’ve got to finish this tour first, but we’re planning after the tour to do the thing. If I can get a girl and a boy that would be fabulous and I’m shutting up shop and shipping these eggs to Africa somewhere.

Wendy: Would you get a surrogate or would you adopt?

Vivica: I don’t have a problem with adopting. I don’t know about a surrogate. I don’t know if I could do that. I’m too much of a control freak… I’m very fertile, so I don’t think that I would have a problem.

[From The Wendy Williams show, video above]

It sounds like Vivica wants a baby, but isn’t going to start even trying to conceive until she’s done touring with her play Cheaper to Keep Her. I checked and the play might be over at the end of January, so it’s not like she has a long time to wait. What I’m wondering is – how does she know she’s fertile at 46 if she doesn’t have any kids and hasn’t yet been the doctor to check? Don’t answer that. Also, it sounded like she plans on using her own eggs. It could happen for her but there are a lot of risks with getting pregnant at 46 and chances are that it won’t be easy. It’s not like getting a face lift or some botox. You know that’s her frame of reference for just about all medical issues.

I am 46 and cannot imagine getting pregnant at my age. What a nightmare that would be. To each their own, I guess.

  2. Courteney says:

    That’s never going to happen.

  3. mln76 says:

Anyone else getting the scary big pic of Vivica when they open this post? Scary. She has got to lay off the Botox.

Anyway, just wanted to say my grandmother had a good friend who way before IVF had her first born at 48. Anything is possible.

  4. Kaboom says:

If she really wants a child she should adopt. It would seem that she is more about self gratification than anything else.

  5. Celebitchy says:

@mln – I screwed up the width of that image with a typo. It’s fixed now, sorry!

  6. Stephie says:

Another once beautiful celeb who totally messed up their face. Make it stop!!

  7. RHONYC says:

i wish she’d leave her fecockdah face alone.

she looks like that puppet ‘Madame’ from the 80’s!

    sheesh. 🙁

  8. Mia135 says:

Sorry, but I am not getting good, stable father material vibes from Mr. “Slimm”.

  9. JM says:

I like Vivica, I really do but what’s going on with her face?

Also, she’s delusional if she thinks she’s very fertile at 46. Even if she is, there are higher risks for both mother & baby after 40. Hollywood needs to learn there is no plastic surgery for pregnancy other than the pretend pillow.

  10. Praise St. Angie! says:

good lord, she’s ruined her once pretty face.

  11. mogul says:

my aunt had her seventh baby at the age of 48, and there was no problems during the pregnancy plus she had her daughter naturally.

  12. Bill Hicks is God says:

Having a 7th baby at 48 is not the same as a first baby at 46…the latter is a tremendous risk.

  13. lisa says:

I don’t know what vision of “Slimm” she is seeing but I don’t see long term Father at all, but I could be wrong.

she is just I don’t know. She is old enough to be his mother. NO age should not matter, but seriously.

Adopt a baby or babies that are here and need a home. Nothing wrong with that.

  14. Crash2GO2 says:

I don’t see how she could know she was fertile without seeing a doctor. Those home fertility tests are not very accurate compared to the ones they run at the doctors.

Agree with the other posters who say she is unrecognizable!!

  15. Maud says:

She probably just had an abortion, oops, ANOTHER abortion, and that’s how she knows she’s fertile.

  16. hanh says:

How the hell does she know if she’s very fertile if she has never had a baby? That’s just stupid. Getting periods doesn’t mean anything. I have a friends who are infertile and they get periods just like anyone else.

It must means she hasn’t hit menopause yet.

Oy those two are dumb women. And VF’s face is so jacked up. The plastic surgery she’s done to it has made her look freaking WEIRD.

  17. Mizz Tickles says:

Rhonyc that is so funny I just about spit my tea onto the screen 🙂

  18. dre says:

What in the sam hell did she do to her face? Botox hell…she has done more than botox, she looks like $h*t!!

  19. The_Porscha says:

She’s starting to channel latter-day Lil’ Kim in the face region. Unfortunate.

  20. mojoman says:

Seems like Slimm prefers to sit in a bar somewhere drinking beers with his peeps than stuck in a room filled with estrogen and screeching women.

  21. Kim says:

ITA with Maud the only way that she is positive she is fertile is if she has had pregnancies that she terminated.

  22. bite me says:

does that mean she had a couple of abortions

  23. Johnny Depp's Girl says:

I have one thing to say…

    Delusional much???

  24. Jackson says:

She thinks she’s so fertile…because she’s probably already started IVF or she’s going the pillow and alternate-baby-mama route.

  25. original kate says:

wait…that’s vivica fox? what the hell happened to her face? yikes. as for the pregnancy i wish she would adopt, but i think she wants to be pregnant to feel younger.

  26. OtherChris says:

While it happens, I would say it’s more likely she’ll be using donor eggs.

  27. southerncheerleader says:

    Af-Am women are very fertile.

Goes back to that Africa famine thing.

Most in on that Continent are.

    Lots have babies during menapause.

  28. Str8Shooter says:

In other news: “I’m very REGULAR”

    The End.

  29. southerncheerleader says:

It’s possible that she could already be a couple of weeks.

Does anyone remember how 50 dogged her out.

She seems to like the thuggy dudes.

  30. southerncheerleader says:

I think it’s rude for WW to ask her about her period. Who talks like that on TV?

And she was silly enough to answer the question. Even some of WW’s younger guest know how to dodge an INVASIVE question.

I saw Ciara & Christiana Milian on & they didn’t let WW get away with OFFENSIVE / PERSONAL questions.

They are both old enough to have SOME MANNERS. Guess not.

  31. Jeri says:

She used to be so pretty before she started messing with herself. I think she got insecure after Fifty dumped her and tried to “fix” herself.

  32. Anoni Mus says:

I don’t like the trend of women getting pregnant with their first child after 40. To each their own, I guess, but in this specific case it makes me uncomfortable. The age difference with the father is way to big, realistically it won’t work out in the long run (and I am pessimistic, because this is Hollywood we are talking about).

Just because women can have babies in their 50s and 60s doesn’t mean they should.

  33. Kim says:

46!!! WAYYYYY to old. She is being selfish. Think of how old you will be when the child is in Jr high or high school. Basically she is saying i wont be around to meet my grandkids. She should adopt an older child.

  34. nnn says:

The age difference MAY be good in the sense that at least one parent statitistically may still be around and more active to take care of the child.

That’s the only reason why i tolerate it. Plus if the gender wEre swapped, nobody would find anyhing against it.

In some way it’s egoististical, in another it’s natural for any woman to have a child which by essence is as egoistical as natural whatever your age.

  35. Hakura says:

It sounds like her ‘I’m very fertile‘ comment comes from 1 of 3 things.
    A. She’s had pregnancies in the past that didn’t come to fruition for whatever reason
    B. She’s using one of those ‘home fertility’ tests from the drug store
    C. She’s completely delusional, and has decided on her own that she’s ‘very fertile‘ just because she’s still ‘regular’ with her period, thus hasn’t started menopause yet.

As someone else has mentioned, there are a *lot* of extra risks with pregnancy at her age, which I don’t think she’s considering at all. The child could suffer any number of defects. =( It really doesn’t sound like she’s even considering adoption, which is a shame. It seems silly for her to even discuss this sort of topic when she’s not even sure of anything.

  36. Twez says:

Maybe she can just adopt her boyfriend.

  37. Skinny Monday says:

Let’s go back to the statistics. Women over the 35 usually have a harder time getting pregnant. They have an increased risk of having a baby with a chromosomal abnormality such as down syndrome. The risk of complications are increased as well. With that, I say I hope that she beats the odds. Hell, I’ll probably have to wait until I’m 50 to have a kid given the amount of student loans I have. DOH!

  38. Matt says:

@ southern cheerlerader ITA. It is completely rude, tacky and classless to ask someone about their period in a TV interview- but remember this is Wendy Williams we are referring to.

  39. Just a Poster says:

    Twez LOL!

  40. bagladey says:

I know personally of women who conceived naturally and gave birth at that age but they all had had children before; but since when does a “full period” at 46 years old mean that a woman is still fertile? Vivica feels young and as a result she seems to think that she’s defying nature but she needs to look in the mirror because she looks like a 46-year-old who’s maintaining through cosmetic procedures.

  41. southerncheerleader says:

“Maybe she can just adopt her boyfriend.”

TWEZ – You are LOL crazy.

Dang, that was a GOOD ONE!!!!!

    Toooo funny!

  42. southerncheerleader says:

I just wanna say to Viv –

The next time someone asks you something about a BODILY FUNCTION, just laugh & change the subject.

    Please, please don’t answer.

You don’t have to give details on bodily functions; those things are personal.

  43. kelly says:

Oh hey, yay! More dumb, vain people in garbage relationships squirting out kids- it can only ENHANCE our grotesquely overpopulated situation.

  44. truthzbetta says:

Maybe I’m looking at the pics wrong, but I think she looks better than when she was younger.

She was kinda bitchy looking back then, now that has matured into self-assured.

I’ve seen a lot of people who are 46 who look jacked, wrinkled, haggard, hard lived and old. She easily looks ten years younger and healthy to me. Unlike poor Madonna or Pam Anderson who think they look young but really don’t.

  45. dudslove says:

Love it Twez — that cracked me up!

  46. JanayH says:

    I agree

  47. cprincess says:

I think everybody has to do what they feel is right and it is not for anyone to judge…
To be quite frank-when youve got MTV glorifying teen pregnancy-at least a woman in her 40’s or 50’s knows what she wants and doesnt see a child as something to play with whenever they feel like it…
There are so many horrendous stories of children being neglected and worse and people are talking about the fact that she may not be around to meet her grand kids-thats a ridiculous attitude-in other words unless theres mommy and daddy and a white picket fence and the woman is under 30 then its not OK??
The way parenthood looks nowadays is changing with gay parents and older women having babies so I suggest we all get used to it.
BTW-a friend of my family gave birth to triplets at 3 months before her 50th birthday and she is the most fantastic mother with endless patience AND she is a single mother-she still works part time as a surgeon and the babies are growing up with a large family around them – they are nearly 5 now…. furthermore good friends of mine are a gay couple who have adopted children -again -the most awesome parents and they adopted them at age 5 and 6-kids who otherwise would have spent their life in the care system so my point is lets stop the judgement…
Lastly-Im 48 and my periods are regular as ever as were my mothers until age 53!

  48. Jess says:

Umm you can regular, full periods and still not be fertile! Also at her advanced maternal age, she wil have a much higher chance of having a child with down’s syndrome or other developmental problems.

  49. Megatrona says:

I think as a rule of thumb no one should be having kids with men named “Slimm”

  50. Abby says:

Megatrona – You mean I shouldn’t have kids with “the real slim shady”? AKA Eminem.
Darn, but at least eminem seems like a somewhat decent dad.

Oh, and I don’t know when the pics were taken, but I think the bottom one looks the best. The ones with the wig…. no. Just no.

  51. Baby blog says:

I have almost one year old boy. I did the test and it says boy small circle boy diagonal boy….Its too soon to take a pregnancy test…could I be pregnant? Does the pencil test detect this early?
