Life & Style has an interesting take on all of those Ryan Reynolds-Sandra Bullock stories. I don’t why this didn’t occur to me, but their cover story theorizes that Sandy and Ryan were perhaps hooking up, but that Sandy called the thing off when she decided to “choose” her son over a potential lover. That… makes sense, doesn’t it? I could totally see it going down like that.
Sandra Bullock is single again. After starting the new year full of promise with actor Ryan Reynolds in her adopted hometown of Austin, Texas, Sandra has made the agonizing decision to sacrifice her own happiness so she can devote herself fully and selflessly to her beloved 1-year-old son, Louis. Sandra’s rep confirmed the budding relationship between The Proposal co-stars was no more on Jan. 14, telling Life & Style Sandra and Ryan “are literally nothing except friends.”
It had seemed like a perfect match: Both endured painful splits in 2010 and reportedly found comfort in each other’s arms during romantic jaunts to Sandra’s cozy Jackson Hole, Wyo., house and a lunch date with Louis at Sandra’s sister’s bakery in Austin. But sadly, Sandra couldn’t follow her heart and let herself fall completely.
“They like each other,” says an insider to Life & Style. “While there is a spark, it’s not happening now. It can’t. They’re done.”
Instead, Sandra seems to have decided to focus all of her love and attention on Louis — who’ll always be the No. 1 man in her life.
“Ryan’s not my lover,” Sandra confessed at the Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 16 in LA. “Louis’ all I can handle.”

Sounds like Sandra is still struggling with the idea of how to date as a single mother. Which I will buy. Of course, I also bought that she and Ryan were probably hooking up, however briefly, and I’ll buy that they are not hooking up currently. Maybe it’s less about Louis and more about Ryan being bad in bed? Does anyone else think Ryan seems like he would be a crappy lover? Just me?

I was totally on board believing there was some sort of dirty going on until I read Lainey yesterday. I go with her take. Sandra hasn’t chosen a side and now is in the middle of this whole thing. Poor Sandy.
Meh. Not really so hard to date as a single mom. Put kid with baby sitter after 6PM – go meet your lovah. I just believe that the two of ’em like each other… but not “like that.”
The real story here is the tragedy that Sandra did to her hair! Look at how great it looks in these pictures compared to that ghastly gothic bang thing from the Globes! and well, I’ll take the bullet and determine whether Ryan Reynolds is lousy in bed. For all of you, my friends- I will bang Ryan Reynolds and then report on it.

If any hooking up was done it was drunken kissing over a bottle of wine. The next day she was probably thoroughly grossed out and gave him the “just friends” line.
He seems like he would be beyond awful…and she doesn’t bring the sexy either sooo…meh on both.

I am on the fence. Half of me thinks he could be amazing and half of me thinks he is looking in the mirror the whole time and/or is too quick or takes like 9 hours and makes you sore.

I love bad boys LOVE THEM, cause most are really good in bed and if they are not like the guy I am currently dating, if they are goofy and unsure… I won’t touch em with a ten foot pole. I would hurt them. Seriously.
I wonder if Sandra is as sick of the Saint Sandy image she’s got as I am. Yeah, she handled the breakup of her marriage brilliantly on a public level. But she also showed her sneaky side on that one as well — hiding a baby for four months. Didn’t even announce it before the crap hit the fan. Then kept it secret. She’s smart and has people she can trust, gotta give her that. Personally, I don’t think actors owe us any more than the roles they play, but the gossip is part of the business now, and watching how people handle it is really interesting.

I don’t think it’s that Sandra doesn’t want to date just yet, I think Ryan just doesn’t do it for her romantically. I’ve never got the feeling that he’s the sort of guy she would be interested in.

@ # 19 – bluhare: Sandy kept Louis secret because of the awards season, unlike someswanelse who never talked about her private life ever until she was considered a frontrunner and now can’t stop gushing.
On a interview he did, he said that his and Sandra’s relationship was more like brother and sister. She has had such awesome success that she can give him a few pointers.
As far being good in bed, who knows, my
ex looked very good, had the tools, but lacked the warmth to give himself to another human person.
Something else that I have noticed is that in the photos where his ring finger is showing, Ryan is still wearing his two wedding rings. The tabloids may be using old pictures.
In the acting part, he knows that he will learn a lot from her. So, why not seek her expertise in the field.
I think the deepest Ryan gets is his reflection.

How is this a confirmation? That was CLEARLY a half-of-a-sentence, that probably started out with “THEY ARE NOT AND NEVER WERE DATING. THEY WERE AND…”
During the time they were supposed to “holed up” in Wyoming, there were several pics, taken on several different days, of her ALONE (some w/ her son and/or w/ another unid’ed person) in and around NYC on Just Jared. Those are being ignored.
There was no break up, cuz there was no hook up.
