Lily Allen throws punches at heckler

Lily Allen has often complained that people seem to see her as a lesser version of Amy Winehouse. Yet she hasn’t been bitching about it nearly so much in the last year or so as Amy’s life has completely gone down the toilet. No matter what bad behavior Lily engaged in, it never compared to a thing Winehouse did. And one would assume she was no longer jealous of Amy… but apparently that’s not the case. Lily’s decided to act just as idiotic as the beehived singer, and attack people on the streets.

Move over, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen has been out drinking and is ready to fight.

The 23-year-old British songstress apparently reacted to a female heckler outside Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in the Soho area of London early Tuesday morning, throwing a punch at the woman as she walked by.

Luckily the jab didn’t connect, and Lily’s friends managed to restrain her and get her into a car. The Grammy-nominated singer has a history of getting physical: She was arrested and cautioned for kicking a photographer after a night out in London last year.

Looks like someone should be taking her own and advice and “just smile.”

I think if you want to become better known and not referred to as a “shittier” (Lily’s own words) version of Winehouse, it’s probably best to work on your music and not your assaulting skills. I mean sure you could become more Winehouse-esq by drinking too much and seeing what kind of normally-only-afflicts-senior-citizens diseases you could get… or you could work on your talent and be known for that.

TMZ has a video of the night here.

Here’s Lily at the Groucho Club and Ronnie Scott’s before getting into the argument. WENN notes the person, “allegedly directed a volley of abuse towards the star before following her to her car. She is seen to punch her assailant three times before friends help her into her vehicle.” Images thanks to WENN.

Sounds like she attended the same anger management classes as Naomi Campbell.

  2. Blackalicious says:

A ‘chav’ with terrible PIANO LEGS. The worst ever. And what, that one stupid song SMILE, what else has she done? I have a feeling she’ll be another one hit wonder. I think she’s just a disgusting slob. Homely thing.

  3. Kaiser says:

Easy, Blackalicious. That’s one of my girls. (sidenote: “Piano legs”?!!?!?! What the f–k?)

But you know what’s classy about this? That Lily was wearing her Chanel bag at the time. Luxury-brand loyalty and brawling, they go hand in hand.

  4. Rhianna says:

Blackalicious you need schooling it seems. She released a fantastic album “Alright, Still”. There are multiple hits on the record. She’s currently on her second album that drops soon. Stop making everyone on this site sound like an idiot.

As for Lily, stop! Don’t punch anyone else. Sheesh woman, go back to the mike and sing some more about “fuck you very much” versus hitting people. I expect better of you than of Amy, and I don’t foresee you dead within the year.

How is she even compared to Winehouse? They’re both from the UK? Her ONE over-processed single was discovered on Myspace. She does not have two stellar albums chock-full of singles (that need no synthetic enhancing might i add) like Winehouse. She doesn’t have Winehouse’s haunting, bluesy voice. If anything, compare her to a british mandy moore or something.

  6. Snowblood says:

@ Mollination – ” How is she even compared to Winehouse? ” – Right!? She’s not! Only comparison is that they’re both English, and it ends there. Hi Molli, BTW I did get your e-mail, still gotta reply, will do so today in a while, ‘K?

She should’ve made contact with that punch. Too bad she didn’t knock out this heckler. She probably could barely see with all the big photographers’ lights in her eyes. Well – maybe next time, Lily! 😀

  7. geronimo says:

Oh Lily, much as I like you, in your wildest dreams, would you, could you, ever be ever compared to the soulful genius that is Amy. And that’s not to knock you for one minute, just to say different leagues.

  8. Snowblood says:

    Hear, hear! Indeed…

  9. Blackalicious says:

Rihanna- ‘I need some schooling’ – do not address me I have no interest in talking to you.

It’s my opinion she is overrated. You can have your opinion and save ‘schooling’ for someone who cares. And how do I ‘make everyone on this site sound like an idiot?’ This is a message board. There will be different opinions. Do not lambaste individual commenters. I maintain a pretty even keeled view on most of the chicanery we read about on here so I’m hardly one to single out.If I don’t like what someone posts I skim past it rather than comment. I also prefer to comment on the article itself not take umbrage with what someone says. I never post rants either but if I wanted to it’s the internet, people do that.
In other words: Save it, sister.

Re: Kaiser’s comment piano legs refers to legs that are straight up and down like the legs of a piano. WTF indeed. Sorry if you like her but really, not everyone will like the same person on here. Why take it personally?

I imagine Lily Allen now falls to her knees every night and thanks the baby Jesus that she’s not completely like a certain meth junkie who is flushing her talent down the crapper.

  11. Kaiser says:

@Blackalicious – Yeah, thanks for cracking that “piano leg” code for me, I would have been *so* confused.

Her legs look shapely and lovely to me, btw.

So I’ll say again – Easy, Blackalicious. Steady on.

  12. Blackalicious says:

Steady on? With all due respect who put you in charge? Are you the the leader of some unknown message board clique? It’s a little odd. You’re telling me ‘easy’ for stating my opinion (which again has nothing to do with anyone who comments here).

  13. Snowblood says:

Come on, now, Blacalicious, take it easy. It’s all fun and games around here ’til people start taking it all too seriously. Kaiser’s supporting the celebrities she likes or loves, just like I constantly do, so by that rationale, she’s bound by her own code of honour to support Lily Allen since Lily’s a celebrity she likes/loves.

So, yeah, take it easy, Black. Settle down, bella, it’s just celebrity gossip and fun. No need to freak out about it.

  14. Lola says:

It must be boring in celeb-land for them to resort to drink and fights all the time. I wish I had so much time on my hands.

Stars usually come in pairs, one usually better than the other in a certain respect. Ricky Martin and Iglesias, Britney and Aguilera, even Miley cyrus came with Hudgens and those other little disney girls. Adele and Duffy. OK now am starting to stretch it, LOL.

  15. Orangejulius says:

Just you-tubed Lily Allen’s ‘Smile’. Not even in the same universe as Wino. Absolutely no ‘effing comparison! Nice, NO CIGARS. Wino’s got more talent in her blood-encrusted ballet slippers than LA has in her entire, punch-throwing body!

  16. Blackalicious says:

Snowblood- I hear you but I’m not freaking out, believe me. If I was I’d be typing all caps and stuff but that’s anathema to me:)

I don’t take it too seriously this tab stuff is supposed to be fun and games, agreed.

  17. Kevin says:

It never bothered me, when lily Allen threw a kick at a paparazzi, this was a set up by them, so why should it be any different. By the way, Lily Allen does not compare herself to Amy Winehouse, the press does that. Lily Allen likes Amy Winehouse and respects her music
