Keith Urban got Nicole’s name tattooed on his arm before she gave birth

Before she gave birth to daughter Sunday Rose, Keith Urban honored wife Nicole Kidman in classic gentleman style: he got her name tattooed on his bicep. There were rumors that he’d bought her a $73,000 Cartier ring as a “thanks for carrying my child” present – but this – THIS really means something.

Keith Urban has shown his devotion to Nicole Kidman with a new tattoo boasting her name.

The country music singer had his arm inked with his wife-of-one-year’s name just weeks before she gave birth to daughter Sunday Rose. The proud dad showed off his decorated bicep as he headed through Los Angeles airport at the weekend.

Wearing his heart on his sleeve: Keith Urban shows his tattoo of Nicole’s name

The tattoo is not Urban’s first. He already has Amor Vincit Omnia on his arm, which reads Love Conquers in Latin.

He and then girlfriend, supermodel Niki Taylor, had the matching tattoos during their relationship in the 90s.

He has now had this altered to include Nicole’s initials.

I think I’d go for the ring myself. Though I like the permanence of the tattoo – it says, “Only someone with a needle can change how I feel for you.” A ring can fall off while you’re doing the dishes – and poof, no more love, as far as symbols go. I was able to find a picture of Keith with the Nicole tattoo from June, so he’s obviously had this done for a little while. Everything considered, I think it’s sweet and it suits him.

Uh oh!! Doesn’t he know that by doing that it’s a guarantee that they will split up?? It’s a curse!!! 😯

  2. Drea says:

Actually, I don’t think it’s a curse. Tim McGraw got Faith Hill’s name tattooed on his bicep, and they’ve been married almost 12 years. I think it’s sweet.

    Worst. Push. Present. Ever.

    Yeah, always choose jewelry.

Maybe the ring AND the tattoo…
Am I the only one who thinks it’s tacky to have your former girlfriend’s tattoo changed to your present wife’s?
I mean, shouldn’t he have had the other one removed when he got married? Or before that? Didn’t that teach him anything about putting people’s names on his body??

  5. Bodhi says:

I forgot that he dated Nikki Taylor…

Anyway, I love tattoos & all, but i don’t think I’d ever get my fiance’s name.

Its NOT NEW!! He got that tattoo right after rehab – about 20 months ago. It was his way of saying that she saved his life./ Y’all need some current news here. Later for the old stuff.

I’m sure she thinks it is sweet, but could probably care less about ink.

If I might –perhaps you should consider adding a few images. I dont mean to disrespect what youve said; its very enlightening, indeed. However, I think would respond to it more positively if they could be something tangible to your ideas. Keep it up, but put a little more into it next time.
