This week’s In Touch Weekly (via Jezebel) has a story about poor, pregnant Kate Hudson and how she’s been “betrayed” by her baby-daddy, Matthew Bellamy. According to a source, Bellamy hooked up with a “young, sweet, college girl” during a party at the Hollywood Hills mansion he shares with his band. The source claims that Bellamy and this chick started flirting, and then they “disappeared” into a private room and didn’t come out until the next day. ITW also notes that Bellamy has a history of cheating – apparently, his past three relationships have ended because of his wandering eye/dong. Unfortunately for ITW readers, Gossip Cop has a “solid source” who claims that Kate and Matt are fine:
“Kate Hudson: PREGNANT & BETRAYED” declares a headline from In Touch, which claims Hudson’s baby daddy Matt Bellamy is cheating on her.
According to a supposed “insider” for the the tabloid, Bellamy was spotted flirting with a “young, sweet college girl” at a recent party thrown by Bellamy and his Muse bandmates.
“She and Matthew were very one-on-one with each other, holding hands and kissing,” says the alleged insider, adding that his schmoozy behavior with her “wasn’t unusual.”
The mag then goes on to portray Bellamy as a philandering party animal.
So, is Hudson setting herself up for more hurt?
Nope.
The expecting couple, who are currently shopping for a place in L.A., are perfectly happy together and looking forward to their addition, says a solid source.
Actually, the only ones “betrayed” here are In Touch’s readers, who have to stomach false rumors of infidelity when Hudson’s about to have a baby.

Yeah. I don’t care for a pissing contest based on who has the better unnamed sources. While I might buy that Kate and Matt are doing fine – there are photos of them house-hunting in Malibu, and they genuinely seem to adore each other – the idea that Bellamy is screwing around isn’t that off-side. He is in a band. And where’s the unnamed source who will dispute Bellamy’s history of screwing around on girlfriends?
Two more minor stories – ITW also claims that Bellamy doesn’t want their baby to be “born out of wedlock” and he keeps proposing to Kate, and she keeps refusing. But, Kate did get her lawyers to draw up a custody agreement for the baby in case she and Matt split up. Smart.
Also – Kate recently did an interview where she discussed how she’s a girl’s girl. Some quotes: “I always feel like you have to watch out for a girl who has no girlfriends. It’s weird if she doesn’t have any. It means they don’t like women and how can you not love women? We’re really powerful when we get a group of us together! I’ve never had that problem [of fighting with girlfriends over men] but I’ve heard about it. I’ve had friends who had real fallings-out over boys but I usually choose women over men. I’m definitely a girl’s girl. I’ve got a group of about six girlfriends and we’re really close.” Do you believe her? I think Kate has fought other girls plenty of times. Like that sweet college girl who Bellamy fooled around with.

Maybe she’s fine with it. I remember when she was with her ex-husband she did an interview where she basically said, “if he cheats, I just don’t want to know about it.”
I actually tend to have more guy friends–WAY less drama. Women for the most part are to high maintenance for me.
And this is completely off the subject but…did anyone watch Law & Order: SVU last nite??? Rose McGowan was on and WTF did that girl do to her face?!?! @ScarletVixen: I’m not sure of the details, but I read somewhere that Rose was in a really bad car accident a few years back and had to have reconstructive surgery. Again, I don’t know specifics, but it’s sad. She used to be lovely – glad she’s still about, though.
I think she is stuck with him for now because she is pregnant but once she has the baby she’ll be flirting again like she usually does.

@ Scarlet Vixen – The story is that she had a car wreck and her sunglasses cut in the bottom of her eye, so she had to get a plastic surgery so the scar wouldn’t show or something like that. However, her eyes and face started to look weird after that visit to the plastic surgeon.
Which is a shame, because she used to be so pretty. I wish she would have just let herself age naturally, or go for very little touch-ups.
Funny though, she was on the last season’s Nip/Tuck, and looked horrible there too.

@TT: I had read about the car accident, too. But when I googled it it said she only had a cut under one eye that needed fixed. But now she’s got the whole cat-lady thing going–the too big cheekbones, the sucked in cheeks, and her upper lip is so deformed she can barely talk. 🙁

I think KH is her mother’s daughter, with pragmatic views on monogamy. She’s experienced, and is under no illusions about rock bands, long separations, and groupies.
I’ve had wayyyyy more dramz with men. I’ve had the same group of women friends for many, many years and yet the men in my life didn’t last. Even the men “friends” always pulled some drama, mostly trying to have an affair with me even though they’re married and I’m friends with their wives.

One must consider the person they are mating with for many reasons but mostly because of DNA and the proven fact that “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” A baby is forever so picking a untrusting person to be your baby daddy or baby mommy is setting up the baby for disappointments their whole life through. Ok, don’t know where to star with this, this is going to be a long post but I was so surprised when I read this yesterday…
When did this party take place? Because it says “a party thrown by Bellamy and his Muse bandmates” well, his band mates haven’t been in LA for awhile, the bassist is with his family in London and the drummer has also been spotted in London this past weeks. It’s true that there was a Muse party in February, it was after the Grammys but Kate was there.
About him destroying his three past relationships. Well, he only has had TWO girlfriends in the past. Tanya Andrew, they started dating when they were really young and they ended around the time Muse released their second album. They are good friends now (said by him).
It’s true that during his single time he enjoyed quite a lot the partys and the groupies but all ended when he met Gaia Polloni, the Italian girl he dated until 2009 when they split. The most extended rumour about this break up is that she wanted to have a formal family, get married, have children, and all that. They are now good friends (said by her)
Then, after some months he met Kate and you know the rest.
And yes, Kaiser, he is a rock star but that doesn’t make him automatically a “cheater”, he was with the Italian girl for almost 8 years and there wasn’t any rumour about him doing things he shouldn’t be doing. I’m not saying he is a saint, but he was madly in love with this girl and it seems he really loves Kate now.
I know is easy to throw shit at this realitonship using Matt because most of the people doesn’t know him, but is sad, because they look genuinely happy and he looks very excited about the baby.

I don’t see why she’d be too concerned. After all, Kate Hudson was the wackadoo who claimed years ago (before she had Ryder, I think) that she totally expected her husband at the time to cheat on her essentially because that’s what rock stars do and that it was completely normal. to say that he did not cheat on Gaia is a lie. Matt went around with plenty of women on tour and he said they had a nontraditional relationship meaning it was open. it was for a while, then he was caught on tape hitting on and dancing with some girl at a club in vegas and it was posted on youtube and the muse website and they broke up shortly over that. he mentioned it in a couple interviews too.

I’m not sure if this particular story is true, but I’ve been a Muse fan for a long time and there have been a few interviews with Matt where he expresses (in not so many words) that he monogamy isn’t really his thing. I’m sure Hudson knew this going in. *shrugs*

@sarajane I know what Interview you are talking about because suddenly all the fans who hate the fact that he is with Kate, are using it as evidence that this story may be true. He didn’t say he was sleeping with other women, he did say that “being faithful in terms of love is very easy” that interview took place in 2004, him and GAIA (who described herself as a very jealous person) were together until 2009, so you can interpret that as you want.
