Although we didn’t do much coverage of it, there was a lot of faux-scandal surrounding the production of Horrible Bosses, most of it centered around media darling Jennifer Aniston. Aniston, you see, “went rogue” and out of her comfort zone of “scarf-and-wedge-wearing romantic comedy heroine” for this film. She took a supporting role in an ensemble cast that includes Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis (Aniston’s one-time alleged boyfriend for about a minute), Charlie Day, Kevin Spacey and Colin Farrell. Aniston, Farrell and Spacey play the “horrible bosses” and the other dudes are the employees who hate them. The trailer just came out, and it doesn’t look bad at all:
Random thoughts:
*It’s good to see Kevin Spacey in a mainstream comedy, isn’t it? I love him when he does quirky character parts.
*Aniston looks good in this dark brunette wig (with bangs trauma that isn‘t hideous either!). She allegedly went topless for some scenes, but producers aren’t including Anistonipple in the finished film.
*Colin Farrell – WTF? I appreciate that he’s stepping out of his comfort zone too and playing some bald, pot-bellied, handicap-hating d-bag. But why not just cast someone who actually looks like that? Why do you have to turn such a pretty man so, so ugly?
*It’s also nice to see Charlie Day branch out into film!
*Jason Bateman can wear the hell out of a suit. Something tells me that Jason plus Spacey equals magic.
*Jason Sudeikis…meh.
* JAMIE FOXX?!? I didn’t even know he was in this!

I love Jason Bateman, and like pretty much the rest of the cast. The movie looks kind of funny, I’ll be curious to see some of the reviews.

Watch the media and blogosphere on this movie…if it is a HIT it will be because of Bateman, Ferrell, Sudakis, etc. If it bombs…the headline will have HUGE LETTERS: ANISTON BOMBS AGAIN.
With “Just Go with it”, it is all Adam Sandlers movie since it made a tidy sum ..however if it would of bombed, Jennifer would of been raked over the coals in the media.
It looks good. Not sure If I’ll be paying 20 bucks at the theatre for it, tho. Jason B. can do no wrong. Meow.
Ugh I was hoping this movie would look funnier because I love Jason Bateman and the idea is really funny. I am hoping the movie is better than this one trailer….
BTW Office Space is the best movie Aniston ever did.

As someone who has had her share of bad bosses (like, 1/2 of them have been bad, some even arrested), I will be seeing this. I would not have known that was Colin Farrell if you hadn’t told me, he is awesome. I also thought Jennifer Aniston was Rashida Jones for a moment.

I don’t find it funny and the story line is just bad also and I love comedy’s but it not doing it for me, She looks good though.

it’s fact, and history finding, aniston can’t act and tends to latch on to more popular, famous stars to help herself, most times it does not work, this will be a hit, the cast is funny, i like kevin, colin, and jason, others too, really not trying to be mean, it’s true, aniston films with her leading w/out a big name bombs.
Jennifer Aniston looks great with that brown hair! From a distance I thought it was Sandra Bullock (brown hair & bangs).

Aniston just isn’t sexy, no matter how hard she tries. But I do really like her in the brunette wig. Totally think she should wear her hair that way, it really suits her far better than the blonde.
As for the film it looks like it *might* be good and it will more than likely be a hit as it has a good ensemble cast.
@Isa: Ditto! 😀 Any movie with Aniston in it I usually avoid like the plague (I think she is a terrible and one note actress, and has the charisma of chalk), but Bateman is adorable and Colin Farrell looks like he is good in this too.
I will be seeing this mainly for the fact that John Francis Daley (Sweets) helped write it. Bones has a powerful hold over me.

While I do find her performances to be one note as well I can usually tolerate her depending on the movie. I actually want to see that movie with Adam Sandler once it is available on instant streaming. When she plays a supporting character I don’t mind her so much!
I like that she branched out in this role.
Ahhh! This look hilarious! I hope it’s as good as it “seems”, cause a trailer can be misleading. I was laughing at all the characters, so that’s a good sign I suppose…
