Jennifer Garner’s casual fashion definitely leaves something to be desired. She often wears loose fitting clothing and she’s photographed constantly, so she’s been on bump watch on and off for a while. It’s hard to keep track of all the times we’ve heard Garner might be pregnant. She’s not pregnant now, though, if her rep is being honest and has accurate information that is. She definitely looked like she might be in the latest batch of photos of her out with her husband of six years, Ben Affleck. Also, Ben needs a haircut badly. That dude goes from hot to fug with one skipped trip to the barber. What happened to him? We don’t have access to those photos, which you can see here, but there are plenty of other recent photos of Garner in loose tops and we’ve included some.
“The speculation is false, she is not pregnant,” Garner’s rep assures E! News. So, 5-year-old Violet and 2-year-old Seraphina remain a terrific twosome for now.
Ironically, in addition to it almost being the actress’s sixth wedding anniversary, it’s almost exactly one year since she denied the last round of pregnancy rumors. Then again, last September, she skipped the booze at a cocktail party and added more grist to the mill.
Garner, most recently on screen in Arthur, next appears in the comedy Butter, which, yes, is about competitive butter carving.

Kaiser is always telling me that Garner stages photo ops with her daughters, and I used to be like “oh no, the paparazzi just hound her,” but I’m coming around to the other point of view. I still like her and find her very normal and nice and all, but you can tell she plays it up. Maybe she’s just dealing with it the best she can, and you can tell that she’s a very hands on mom and dotes on her daughters. I basically make this argument in every story about Garner because I don’t know what else to write about her. That’s a good thing for her PR I guess. That and the pregnancy rumors. At least we’re not speculating about her marriage.

I don’t care what her publicist says…I would bet anything that she’s probably pregnant. Publicists are basically paid to lie and craft whatever image the celebrity wishes, but photos are hard to deny. Either she is pregnant, or she wants the attention that goes along with speculation.
Cute kids, but Jennifer Garner is ridiculously unattractive. Considering how much money her clothes cost, she always dresses like shit too, which doesn’t help her body-builder figure.

@ CB. I stopped giving her the benefit of the doubt a long time ago. Years ago when she was on the cover and interviewed for Marie Claire and Chris Conneley called her on her s*it in the article, that is when I knew she is just like every other celebrity in HW. Also, if this is something that happen frequently why is her rep still confirming or denying this.
Good thing I’m not a celeb.. I feel sick almost every morning, I usually skip the booze and I get terribly bloated if I eat anything bigger than a crumble. I would be on the headlines constantly about “OMG SHE’S SOOO PREGGERS!!1”
I don’t waste time with such “oh yes she is, oh noes she isn’t” things. When she announces, then I guess she is. Rest, I don’t care. Maybe she just carries a big lunch that have birth day after. What a news value.
At this point, when a publicist says something, I kind of assume that the opposite is true. And she does look pregnant in a lot of these photos.
I like that she’s a hands-on mom, whether or not she invites the photography. She’s still clearly spending that time involved with her kids, either way.
And I also kind of like it that she dresses like crap (although that dress in the top photo looks cute to me). Because I have a super-active small child, and I literally do not have the time to worry about what I’m wearing. I’m not sure why we’re all supposed to be fashion models all day long. When did that happen?
Yes, she’s a star with more resources than I have. But I find this weirdly refreshing. And this is from someone who does not like Jennifer Garner.
Re: The phantom pregnancy. I don’t think she is. I think she and Ben are committed to stopping at 2 kids. I think she just has no idea how to dress herself to maximize her assets in a casual way. OR, she likes the attention.
Re: The endless Dimple Parade photos. She can control it, and has for months at a time. I don’t think it makes her a bad person, she’s just as much as a hustler for attention as every other celebrity. What pisses me off is that she’s treated with kid gloves so consistently by the media and her fans.
@ CB – Actually Matt Damon’s family lives in New York. One of his daughters goes to the same preschool as my coworker’s kid. On the Upper East Side. It’s just easier to fly under the celebrity radar in New York if you take certain precautions to not be seen (aka use a side entrance to your building). In a city with so many souls in so little space, anonymity is much easier to achieve. You can disappear in a crowd.
The Afflecks live in a mansion with a huge piece of property in Brentwood. They could hide out there. Violet could have her friends come play in her private backyard park. Jen could hire a bodyguard to serve as security and as a driver and sit in the backseat with her girls. There are small ways she could change her routine to trick the paparazzi and get them off her trail. God knows she has the money to do that.

On the other hand, it’s not like they can stay holed up in there ALL day, every day. We’re not talking about TomKat for christ’s sake! I think she is just going about, doing errands with her kids around town like a lot of moms, and she gets papped.

The comparisons being the Damons and Afflecks are interesting. I’d never heard the Damons were in NY (I too thought Florida) so they’re good at keeping themselves under cover. I don’t believe the Afflecks should hide out in their house though, why the hell should they?
As for her wardrobe… Really, people? The fact that she wears loose clothing is that much of a problem, really? There’s casual and then there’s kids-casual… some of us girls are happy to chill in kids-casual, it doesn’t mean we’re sloppy or lazy or whatever.
I can’t believe she and ben affleck have been married for only 6 years. It seems like at least 20. I think Jennifer Garner should go to law school. She has kind of lawyer style when she tries to dress up on her own– black dresses/skirts, sweaters, pearls, glasses, etc (the only thing missing is the iPad), and when she dresses down she looks so rumpled and baggy, like a college student who has been overwhelmed studying for exams. Plus, her career isn’t that great right now. She could practice law in Boston, which I think would be a hell of a lot more interesting and fun than being a b list actress with a failing film career in LA.
I don’t know why everybody is saying the publicist is lying. If you look at her photos over the past 2 years there were so many photos that made everybody think she was pregnant. Obviously she wasn’t. Jennifer probably gained and lost weight and she always wears baggy clothing.
I do think that she and others like Jessica Alba and Gwen Stefani technically do photo-ops. I don’t think they call the paps but they don’t do anything to avoid them. I’m sure I will be attacked but other celebrities like Brad and Angelina’s kids are hardly photographed. I think they’ve been in LA since October or November and I can count the number of pap shots on 2 hands. I need both hands and both feet to count the photos of Jennifer, etc for a month. Ironically people claim Brad and Angelina exploit their kids and Jennifer, etc are considered great hands on parents.

She said that she and Ben were done having kids. Why doesn’t anyone believe her? I think her weight probably fluctuates, and I think she didn’t have the abdominoplasty that most celeb moms have after their births (where they get the rectus abdominus sewn back up). After you have two kids, it’s hard to have a flat tummy. Genetics have a lot to do with it too. Garner has always been someone who has to work hard to stay in shape and eat very “clean” according to her. I think she’s just not always 100% on her game with it (unless she’s doing a film). And I think that we don’t see Matt Damon’s kids because his wife isn’t famous, so no one is interested in buying photos of her. Kids or no.

I don’t think its fair to compare Matt Damon’s children to the Afflecks. Matt Damon’s wife is not in the business (neither is Christian Bale’s) there is less public interest in fathering than in mothering.
Hence, famous mothers are scrutinized far more than famous fathers. It’s enough to see a photo of Ben Affleck out once a month with his daughter, hoh hum, he’s just being a once a month kinda dad. Hands-on Mom Garner is seen every single day.
Even though I don’t like the woman, I won’t criticize her parenting for a second. She is a good mom. Those girls are so happy. I give her a lot of credit for that. Whatever nonsense is going in the marriage (I think Ben is a classic addict, he’s moody and selfish and drinks and cheats) those little girls have no idea, and I give Jennifer the credit for keeping it that way.
I just don’t think she can complain about the paparazzi. It’s part of the deal she made. She has the resources to make herself scarce, but the Perfect Mom image is what she’s selling. Those paparazzi are responsible for her entire career.
If those photos are all recent, then she looks pregnant to me. But, so what? She’s married, seems happy. It’s nobody business, unless it’s a January Jones situation and she’s being coy about the daddy. 🙂
I can’t believe there is so much speculation whether or not she is pregnant, she IS legally married isn’t she and maybe the pregnancy, if there is one, is iffy and she doesn’t want to announce it as yet. As for her wardrobe, she looks like every other mother with small kiddies, was she supposed to be dressed in haute couture for that?
I still don’t care what anyone says about them, I like Ben & Jen together. I love that she goes about her business, doing her “Mom thang.” I love that they take their daughter to school, and they go to ballgames or parks as a family.
They have the luxury of a lot of money, so the opportunity to go to a park in the middle of a weekday is very real in their realm of possibilities.
Would y’all feel better to see pix of the kids being taken to school and parks with a nanny and a bodyguard instead?
I know Pacific Palisades, Malibu, etc., and the west side of Los Angeles pretty well. There are many, many places to escape the media, including ones own back yard, yet Jennifer and a handful of others are constantly shown playing in very visible locations. She truly is a media whore, along with Halle(oh shock!).
And about Ben, you can tell by the look in his eyes that he is so not into her, and likely by the glaze over, that he is back to recreational activities if you know what I mean. THAT is how they last as a couple! Escapism!
Look at the pic in the blue shirt – definitely pregnant!! They might be waiting to make sure it is a healthy pregnancy & perhaps even waiting for amnio results before giving an announcement. But I see a pregnant mom there….no doubt about it!!!
Playing nice with the paparazzi is not a bad thing. Some people chose to do it because they are fame whores. But other do it to control the chaos. Allowing frequent or periodic photo ops means you reduce the price on your head. Remember those photos of Lourdus in the back of a car with photographers surounding her and Madonna? A lot of that had to do with Madges moratorium on photos of her daughter.
I’m not saying it is a great thing. But in HW the paps see all and having them as your allies (NEVER FRIENDS) is in your best interest if you are a celebrity.
Can’t stand this woman. She comes up as so fake to me. I think she would love to get pregnant so Ben does not leave her. I think she is obsessed with him. On one interview right after marriage to Ben and after Violet was born, she said that Ben, is the man she dreamed since a little girl. I did not know that she would dream about a “player” or someone that loves drinking too much. All the statement translates in just an obsession.
Why should Garner be forced to hideout in her backyard? ughhh BORING! And so is Brentwood! (ZZZZZZ…) I think I’d be the type mom to be traipsing all over too, to stave off lunacy. And trying to hide, or create endlessly new routes to throw them off, when you’ve got two little kids, seems more stress inducing then just living your life and letting them snap pics. I def. wouldn’t be chilling in my backyard all the time if I were …anybody, but especially not a mom. Friends over or not. I’d probably rather live in Arizona or wherever if I were a celeb (haha), but maybe LA is where Garner’s established support system is.

She SO has a bun in the oven. She’s probably waiting til its safe to disclose- 12 weeks and sometimes after 20 weeks. Just depends if she’s had a miscarriage scare before and prefers to wait.

Jennifer dresses dowdy or conservatively, speaks rarely and behaves modestly as possible because of the elite, political crowd her husband likes and his desire to run for political office some day. She is normally nice, well balanced from a good family background.. and so the hands on mom and loyal wife material is easy for her.. It is obvious her children love her.
There are just way too many “look at me, aren’t i such a great mom photos” around for her not to have the paps on speed dial. She no longer has a career and isn’t someone who sells magazines. The only reason she gets photographed at all is that she makes it easy for them on slow news days. “Dang… haven’t shot anyone worth spit today, how am I going to cover the bar tab?” “Well Jen is calling again, she’s kind of famous, right?” “What are photos of her worth $20?” “We can charge her for us to take them, she’s desperate to keep her face in the media. It’ll be one of those: ‘I am such a great Mom, that’s why my career is dead’ shoots.”
for someone with a “dead career,” she works an awful lot. A film I just worked on for a couple of days (“The Odd Life of Timothy Green” – I was per diem for a friend who was ill) is due out this year, she has another film in the can for this year, and at least two more scheduled for the next year or so. She works when she wants to, and she wants to work less because of the kids. Like her or not, she fills a niche and isn’t demanding of lead roles or romantic leads, meaning that she could do character work requiring less of her time, yet still do well. She’s not stupid.

There are people I dislike as actors (dn’t care for their work), but the people I don’t like personally are the people I’ve met personally and found to be not so nice. Ben Affleck, to me, is not one of those people.

I get the biggest laugh from people who are all “she could avoid the paps so easily.” Have you EVER seen the pap hive? It’s damned scary and it’s almost EVERYWHERE in LA (not quite as bad in NY). A great many actors make deals with the paps. They get a certain number of shots, and they get left alone the rest of the time. It’s mostly those with children who do it. Nothing wrong with that, really, especially when it saves you from the hive in the long run. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s why Jen Garner so rarely changes her routine – she’s dealing with a known commodity(quite often the same paps) and they probably remain somewhat respectful. The public gets their fix of the dimple parade, the paps get paid, and Jennifer gets privacy the majority of the time.
As for “staying in her house,” why the hell should she? Why should anyone be relegated to house arrest when they haven’t done anything wrong?
There are a level of B & C listers that make sure they get papped. They aren’t chased, they aren’t hunted, they don’t make the cover of mags, and no one really cares if they go missing for 2 or 3 months Jen Garner is one of them. And yes she gets work but most of it is crap. She couldn’t even get the lead in Arthur for crissakes.
As for Ben I don’t hate him but he has a rep as a cheater. His relationship with JLo ended when he cheated on her, and GOOPY hinted that he cheated on her also. And since he’s been with Garner there have been rumors about him with at least two of his co-stars.

I like Ben Affleck. As far as Ben being known as a cheater. That can be said for most of Hollywood. People like to use Ben’s past relationships against. It is kind of funny because Ben dated his High School sweetheart for over ten years. When they broke up because she cheated on him. And who did he date right after on the rebound? Gwyneth…. Ben wasn’t looking for a serious relationship and neither was Gwyneth. (Can we Say Brad) But she made sure she bad mouthed Ben in the press. Why? because she is the one that actually cheated on Ben while she was making a film in Europe. All that talk about Ben going to clubs was to justify her actions. Now.. lets talk about Jennifer Lopez. She is one of those women who can not be without a man… ever. When she was married to her first creepy husband she cheated with P Diddy. She could have cared less about her husband or Diddy’s girlfriend Kim Porter. Diddy got dropped by Jennifer when she cheated with husband number 2 Chris Judd. She then cheated on Chris to hookup with Ben. 3 months after breaking up with Ben she married the well documented serial cheater Marc Anthony.
The point is people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. Jennifer Lopez doesn’t have clean hands. So hating on Ben because of the Stripier who got paid 10,000.00 to tell her story don’t make sense to me. Ben denied all those the stories. The owner of the Club, all the employees and all the people Ben came there that night denied what the story. People like to believe the worse story because it justifies and validates their dislike for a person. Ben has dated several women. Some famous and not. None of those women has ever said Ben is a cheater. If you go actually read what Gwyneth said about Ben…She didn’t actually say Ben cheated on her. She said Ben likes to go to Strip Clubs with his friends. Which was below her standards.

@Liana actually I got in trouble with the loons when I said I thought the NOLA pic with all 6 JP kids was a pap walk. I think many celebs do pap walks including the JP’s but I don’t think they do them as often because there is no need. Whether they want to be seen or not there is an army of paps willing to chase down certain A-list celebs wherever they are in the world. It’s pretty blatantly not the case with Garner because there isn’t much demand for the pics and her career isn’t red-hot like it was way back when she was on Alias same goes for Gwen Stefani, Nicole Richie etc. Whereas someone like Angelina or Aniston is hunted by the paps because a made up story about them will sell more than a true story about a ‘lesser’ celeb.
And BTW I am not name calling or putting Jen down for sucking on a lollipop,putting her down for doing charity work,or making fun of her kids, not tearing apart every sentence she utters for some hidden evil intent….That’s the kind of commentary that I find rude and unnecessary.

From what I remember about ben and jlo was that HE called off the wedding just a few weeks before it was supposed to happen…Please link me to where goopy hinted that ben cheated on her, cause I didn’t hear that one…and if you are referring to the pics of ben on the set of The Town laughing with Blake Lively, then I hope nobody takes pictures of me where I work and show my husband, because I speak to and laugh with my co-worker all the time…I know Ben hates and avoids the paps as mucy as possible after the fiasco that was “Bennifer” so we don’t see him in the press that much and when we do, he looks pissed off…but I still don’t hear any proof that he is a jerk…always loved when he hosted Saturday Night Live, he always came across as a nice guy with a great sense of humor….anyway, I sure hope after I launched this tirade on what a great guy ben is that we don’t find out that he is the father of January Jones baby…

So that was like what 12 ot 15 years ago….there is a huge difference between a 25 year old and a 37 year old…what have you got lately? Just like when people always bring up things Angelina Jolie did in her 20’s and never let it go…like people don’t grow up and change…I’m sure none of us would like to be judged on today on things we did 15 years ago…but I don’t expect to change anyones mind…we can all speculate…”hes a douche” or “hes a great guy” truth is we don’t know him…and he’s probably a little of both, just like the rest of us…just my opinion…
@Lucy I didn’t call him a douche(today at least I may have in the past) just said he has a history of cheating (So does she for that matter but that’s another story). All of these celebs have skeletons in their closets and alot of them cheat (Or have in the past).I tend to think someone who steps out repeatedly on fiances and girlfriends is likely to do so again, and I wouldn’t be surprised if sooner or later there is another Ben Affleck cheating scandal, especially since the tales of Ben’s onset cheating have been steady from some sources even if the tabs don’t run with it for whatever reasons.
As for Jen people find her likable so they don’t notice all of her PR shennanigans . It’s kept her visible when most would have forgotten about her so it’s actually smart…. Like Kaiser said that doesn’t make her a bad person but it’s blatant.
Jen garner should get pregnant again because that’s the only thing that keeps her famous in Hollywood that and parading those kids around every single day. Gwyneth and Ben remain good friends after their split. They supported each other on SNL. Gwyneth invited Ben and Violet to her son’s third birthday party. If she really despised Ben, how could that happened?
As for Jen, from candids her routine is quite predictable, same park, preschool, farm market, even restaurants. So do most of us. It is called everyday life. If working with Helen Mirren, Hugh Jackman, Andrew Garfield, Jeremy Renner, Judi Dench, Joel Edgerton and having 3 projects a year means a dead career, OK, most actors and actresses should think about finding another job to make a living.
I think they pap her because people are genuinely interested in her and the pics sell. She, on the other hand, doesn’t bother to wear makeup or otherwise do any kind of spiffing up, except to make sure her girls are nicely dressed.
So yeah. I’m not seeing how she’s doing this go get attention for herself.
@Pauline no neither JLo or Goopy held a press conference and stated Ben cheated on me. But it’s pretty clear that Jlo’s engagement broke up due to the stripper incident and within weeks Goopy said to Diane Sawyer I am not surprised he likes strippers….Pretty strong confirmation in my book.
